My kids havent started yet but when I went there for information there were very helpful. Based on that they can count on me

Been taking my kids (7 and 9) there for a couple of weeks and Mr. Shaw is great with the kids. Definitely a good dose of discipline for them and theyre actually working out and stretching on their own. Prices are really reasonable and Mr Shaw is great himself.I have to cover my mouth because I laugh so much at how he corrects the kids in a slightly silly but serious way. All about their well being.Think Ill take a couple of classes myself.

Mr. Shaw is great! My son has been going there for about 3 months and he loves it. He is learning discipline and skills that can be used in defending himself.If you are interested in keeping your child fit this is a great place for that. I have not seen the older students use weights (which I like) but they will do 100 push-ups.Mr. Shaw is great with kids and he loves what he is doing and you can see that in the interaction.GREAT PLACE!!!

Exceptional instructor. What I love is that my child is not just learning karate, but is learning and practicing skills that are crucial every day: listening, focus, respect (for others and self), attention to detail, making a commitment and following through, etc. Mr. Shaw strikes an incredible balance of accessibilty and authority. I recommend highly.

Don Shaw is a great instructor and Shaws Karate is a Durham institution. Those that earn their Black Belts here have truly earned them.
