Dissatisfied with the service and level of security with this company. I waited a bit before putting this review to see if anything changed but the lack of communication is poor takes very long to get a rental and also saw other customers having the same issue during their Uhaul rental. Asked to speak with owners and was told to call come number without any success. Poor poor is my conclusion with this storage place.

I paid my storage since my dad passed last October and today I got an email saying that the storage unit will be going up so I called cuz I did a early payment as I always do and I talked to Jonathan if his name was not Jonathan it might have been Nathaniel either way I appreciate him talking to me Im hoping that I got this right name cuz we got cut off and I tried to call him back awesome man he gave me the information and what he told me was no problem then we start talking about kids cuz I know how it is when its almost time to get off work and youre by yourself and you ready to clock out early but you cant clock out early and we just had a normal conversation just like we have been knowing each other for years but I appreciate him it was an awesome experience I wish I could have got them back thank you

I had an emergency come up where I unexpectedly needed a truck so I called in to the uhaul store on cornwallis rd to rent a truck with absolutely no notice. Jordan answered the phone and was extremely patient with me and gave me a few different options as far as size/location/time goes. I was lucky to get a truck on such short notice and Jordan was a great help. He even offered me a storage unit with a free month special which I would have rented but I have nothing to store. I submit a storage reservation online for another storage company. I was hesitant to go there because the price was skeptical. I pulled up to E. Cornwallis, just to find out my reservation was way more expensive than what Security Self Storage had to offer. Other than the prices being amazingly low, the customer service is top tier! Soular and Cierra are so well-trained and knowledgeable of the products/services they offer. I was in shock as they were talking because I didnt see any of that on the website. I just want to thank you two so much! Ill be back with a full moving truck, but only when yall are working!

Tyler was very patient and informative. He let us look at a couple of units so that we could determine which size best fit our needs. Everything was explained to us in detail. He also helped us reserve our truck and dolly 2 weeks in advance of our actual move. My mom has rented storage here various times before and has always had great experiences. This is what impacted my decision to rent here.

I came to check out storage for my mom who is moving soon and will need a unit. I spoke with a very pleasant young lady to inquire about prices and she showed me the different sizes and prices that are available. She was very helpful and had a great personality. The facility was very clean and had accessible parking. This is the nicest facility I have looked at so far.

Called security self storage after I was not able to reach uphaul on Alston. I was having issues checking out my truck. Spoke to Alexa, who said its possible that my app is not sharing my location. I check and sure enough it was not. So glad we got someone to help us.

Zay and Tyler provided excellent customer service when I encountered them at the store. They were welcoming and kind and provided expert advice on moving equipment. I feel better equipped and more prepared to move and I highly recommend using their services. I was not having the best day, but they were such gentlemen that it brightened up my day. NO NO NO Do not use this service! I dont know if this is how all Storage companies are run but.... I rented a unit to help with the overflow of furniture etc.. from my home. During the Pandemic I needed to make a payment at the end of the month instead of the first. I called and told someone (wish I rememebered the name) of my situation. I asked if I they could wave the 75 dollar late fee that they charge every 15 days. I often wondered how people lose their stuff and was actually very critical when I heard of someone losing their things to a sorage company. Now I see why. I simlpy asked if I could make 2 payents at the end of the month instead my regular pay time. The person informed me that this was not an option but they would allow me to make partial payments while they continued to charge me the 75 dollar late fee every 15 days. WHAT????? How does that help me sir? I asked him. It seems that only benefits you.As soon as I pay off this RIP OFF Company. I will take all my things out and give them away before I allow someone to take advantage of me this way.. Thanks for listening I feel much better. Is our city/state government aware of how these companies run?

Nobody rents a truck to have fun, they are under some pressure and stress. We were treated so well at Security Self Storage for a van rental that I would gladly go back.

Someone picked the lock on my unit and stole several hundred dollars worth of stuff. Their insurance carrier shut me down immediately because there was no forced entry. Since there are no cameras inside the building, I have no recourse. For a business with the word Security in the name, youd think they could shell out a couple thousand dollars on cheap security cameras.

I recently opened a new account and got a new storage unit at this location. The experience was great. It was fast and easy. Kristen was super nice and made sure I understood the site and how my payments worked. Facilities were clean and more than I expected. I look forward to continuing to work with them!

The office was neat and tidy. I came to rent a truck to haul some lumber locally. Melody was very pleasant and upbeat and went through the contract with me. It was great to work with her. The truck was in excellent condition and was easy to maneuver and drive. I liked being able to reserve the truck - you cant do that at the hardware big box stores. The price was right and I would definitely use this vendor again if I need another truck or van!
