We had to rent a storage unit and realized the morning that we were moving everything into it that we needed a much larger unit. Called the office on a Sunday and spoke to Renee. She was able to change our unit in a matter of minutes and get me all of the new information. The level of customer service was wonderful and I can not thank her enough. And the fact that I was actually able to get a real person on a Sunday was a great added bonus!

Nice and clean but the unit Im renting is very hot. It is not a good idea to do anything in there youll pass out from the heat. Be sure to get a unit with air.

Its nothing special but theres nothing bad about it. Though there is some construction that needs to be done to get my boat spot but everything is perfectly fine.

I been here for two months. I forgot about my payment and called in. Patricia was very polite and helpful. Immediately she helped to get everything taken care of. She helped waive my late fee and helped me log in to make my payment online to avoid any additional fees. She was very understanding. Move-in was very Covid-19 friendly and their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this storage place to any of my friends.

Please do not store your stuff on this property. If I could rate this property zero stars I would . We rented the unit for a month only because we were in the process of moving . In that time frame when we went to get the stuff out our things where covered in massive cockroaches not the little ones theses were huge . Bugs everywhere from the inside and out. We had to throw away so much of our belongings. And when staff was notified it’s like they didn’t even care. Like they already knew of their own infestation

10 Federal Storage is a great place to keep your belongings. We like the security it provides by having to enter a code to get into the facilities. We had a question about making a payment and we spoke with Patricia who proved excellent customer service!!

Make sure you get climate control and humidifier control

This facility is not secure. We had our trailer broken into with absolutely no help from the camera system. The cameras were pointed in the wrong direction and access is really not monitored closely. Cannot urge the public strongly enough to find alternative options.

PLEASE DO NOT STORE ANYTHING HERE.I kept my trailer here for years under the previous management and as soon as it changed owners, everything not only went downhill fast but my property was stolen.I tried calling and emailing countless times, but they found it easier to not call me back or respond to any emails. When I did finally get in touch with someone, they were very apologetic with a bunch of excuses why nobody called me back. I was told to call back the next day, but guess what... voicemail and no return call. Emails, texts and phone calls later, but still nothing.

I posted here recently to indicate a very bad experience. Surprisingly the post is no longer here. Oh well!!!!DO NOT STORE YOUR VALUABLES HERE. For a long time there was a very large hole in the back fence. It wasnt repaired when I was there and probably isnt now. My lawn tractor was stolen and I had absolutely no recourse! Conveniently there were no cameras located in places that could be of use.

If I ever find myself needing extra storage space in the future, Ill be coming back here. They were nice and professional and very understanding. And, they gave me a gate code that I could actually remember! Very clean and safe. Id recommend them to anyone looking for storage.

Nice idea poor execution. I rented a space using their website 100%. I then went to drop my trailer at the space after receiving confirmation on space number and access code. When i arrived there was a boat in the space. I called customer service and was on hold for nearly 30 minutes, when i did get someone the line was very bad and they said they needed to escalate to a supervisor. I then took the trailer back home (inconvenient) and sent them an email about what had happened. Responded to my email that issue needed to be referred to supervisor. Waited 3 days, no follow up. I then sent an email and they indicated they would provide me another space. They gave me new space number and that weekend i again went to the facility and on arrival again found a car in that new space. Emailed the company when i got home. Several days passed, no reply. I emailed again and they indicated they would provide me a full refund. I suppose this is the problem with 100% unattended storage facility.

I have had a very good experience with The Storeroom. Their management is really good to work with and I feel my stuff is secure there. I definitely recommend checking them out!

The new owners lost the records of my friends payment (and the free month he got as a promotion for pre-paying) and put a lock on his unit (holding his stuff hostage). Our movers had to go home and we couldnt load the truck he rented until the next day.If youre going to buy a storage company, shouldnt you get your database in order? Seems a little scammy, especially when more than a third of the units we drove by had the overdue payment notice and lock on it.Oh yeah, they never informed him that his payment was overdue. Their first instinct after losing their records is to make sure people cant get their things.My recommendation: Dont put your things in this storage facility. The owners are looking for ways to get more of your money.

If youre looking for a secure self-storage facilities in Durham, the StoreRoom is not the place. If youre brave and decide to give it a try, definitely dont move in while the on-site manager Karen is there otherwise theyll be a magic break-in/vandalism wherein all of your snazzy goods will be lifted. You may wonder why its considered a break-in when the gate is often ajar anyway. It should be called a come on in seeing as the gate was broken and ajar for at least a month before last week, now not to mention the five or six times that its been broken and in need of repair since Karen arrived. I sometimes reminisce about the 12 glorious years that my things were there without tampering vandalism or so-called break in before Karen arrived. Those memories are often interrupted by thoughts of the two times in the past three years that theyve been broken into molested and visited by Karen prior to my arrival. Google, are we seeing a trend?!!! At the first break in, I came to find that she had been in my storage before I arrived so how do I know whether she stole my 3 pairs of $265 Ugg boots or the so-called burglars. She looks like a size 10 to me and definitely doesnt have a $1000 to spend on boots. You be the judge. Moving on to the second quandary. When I arrive to the facility after receiving a call about the first break-in, theres now a lovely little display offering rental insurance which was never offered before. Coincidentally theres a break-in and then a well-placed display offering rental insurance as renters come in dismayed about their missing wears. You be the judge. Oh and did I mention the cigarette stench in the nasty little office that you have to go into if you dare to pay your ever rising rent in person?! Yes, oddly youd think that it would be easy to see marauder and burglars looting the place when you reside in the mini apartment on the property. I guess its hard to see through the thick nicotine residue on the windows. If it smells like garbage guys then its definitely trash nearby and it always smells over there. Dont store your stuff with the StoreRoom unless you want to be overcharged, under secured, and wreaking of cigarette smoke. Oh did I mention that following the announcement that the break-ins seem to coincidentally coincide with Karens arrival and a visit form the police, new security measures have been in place. Whoo, yes, google viewers the gate has been fixed! Astounding and theyve decided to lock you out of the facility after 6pm to protect your stuff. I suppose the theory is that renters are stealing their own things. Hmmm, isnt the issue that others arent being locked out of your storage?! But I guess its easier and by easier I mean cheaper than using your quarterly rent increases to install cameras at least on each of the five or six lanes. I guess it would also be too much for the so-called on-site manager to look out of the window multiple times per day. I know its taxing especially trying to see through the smoke stained windows. Final point, rent a climate controlled storage unit in a secure self-storage facility with full surveillance.......wait for it.......on all lanes and in all buildings. Crazy right! A secure storage and for the same price!!
