I have used Chandlers for years. They are one if the fast towing services in the area. Felix and his team have always provided friendly helpful service. Luckily Im not in need of the their sevices as often anymore. But if you ever need a tow, jump or any roadside assistance give them a call first.

Had a very nice experience at Chandlers today. My wife’s van had been towed there after a super pleasant gentleman at a shell station on old chapel hill rd let it sit in their lot for an hour. My wife had to get a ride to work and she told the nice man I would be there to pick it up. So no fault to the towing company they did what they were called to do. Front office staff very nice to deal with and I appreciate them taking such good care of my wife’s minivan till I could get it back.

Chandlers has always provided us with great service. And has helped us out on at least two occasions that I would consider an emergency service call at no additional cost to us. Very prompt and easy to deal with.

Car was towed due to being parked in a parking lot without a permit (sign showing you needed a permit was covered by a bush, but still my fault for not knowing). Regardless. Called Chandler’s, told me my car was not towed by them. Then called the police and they did not see the car reported as towed, so had to register the car as stolen. Cancelled credit cards, got insurance involved. Police call Chandler’s towing and they did have the car when they checked again.Eventually got my car 6 hours later. Needs to be better communication between those towing cars and those answering the phones.

These are friendly and courteous folks.Honest in dealing with customers.Will endeavor to please us.I really apprreciate how they show interest in taking care of customers needs.

My car died right off the high way exit in the center turn lane. Maverick from Chandlers Towing pulled over while off duty and towed my car several miles to a safe location. He helped jump it and detect what was going on. All on his own time! There are good people in this world and I was so touched by his service!

Though they towed our car, the lady at the front desk was nice and accommodating. I would give them a 5 star but you know... they towed our car.

I just want to give Felix and his team a shout out. I have a mustang that I hadnt driven in roughly 3 years. I was on the verge if selling it due to some issues it was having. I decided to take it to their shop and explained everything I knew was wrong with the car. They somehow managed to make my car drivable on a regular basis and its been 4 months and Ive had ZERO problems with my car. Im so glad I held on to my car and very grateful to his team for bringing my baby back to life.... they even went out of their way to spruce it up before picking her up. THANK YOU FELIX AND TEAM!!!

We are visiting family at her apartment complex the office told her she doesnt need guest stickers because they have had issues with cars get towed away. So now our truck is getting lifted to get towed away. We tell the guy that we dont need sticker to visit he doesnt listen we point out there are multiple cars without stickers he said to point them out we did. He asked if we where paying him the $100 to take it off after he lifted it or he was going to leave we paid him the money he drove off didnt even bother checking the others cars no receipt nothing problaby cashed that money for himself. He needs to communicate with the office manager so they can both get on the same page and inform there residents with the correct information.

I give Chandlers five stars. Very friendly. Professional. Timely work completed. Very knowledgeable.

If I can give them a zero I would, they illegally towed my car and not only that gave me a very hard time about it, cursing me out and trying to fight me. I cant wait to see them in court and once I win I will post a video of the useless incident. Watch out they are predatory.

This place was the worst experience Ive ever had in my life. My boyfriends car was towed by a neighbor in error. When trying to figure it out, the people who answered the phone were not only rude, but literally hung up in the middle of the conversation. Not only that, they literally forgot to send someone to let the car out of the lot. We called multiple time and were ignored completely. Under no circumstances should you use this company.

I was held on the property against my will for over 15 minutes. I just dropped a Uber passenger off and he refused to open the gate to let me leave until after he dealt with two customers.... I was at the gate waiting to leave before he dealt with the first one... Then he had the nerve to tell me I shouldnt have came in....TF I have nothing to do with the customers. Right when I was about to call the police he opened the gate... The unprofessionalism is staggering. I will never give them my business and I warn everyone to be careful when dealing with this business. Something isnt right. Holding someone against there will is NEVER ok... I wish this could give negative stars😤

I couldn’t find anyone to tow me for 6 hour of being stuck on 85S they made sure I and my family were safe in matter of minutes of getting in touch with them, 10/10 recommend they definitely go over and beyond.

Hey Chandler! I don’t know if you know this, but we have been in a pandemic for about a year now. So maybe wear a mask when dealing with customers. Especially if the customer asked you nicely to wear one. What your response should never be is “I don’t have Covid”. That’s a real dumb thing to say. Do better.

Every bad review youre going to cole across here is for towing but ky experience with the actual auto shop was phenomenal. Driving an older truck, not kany people want to work on it but the folks at Chandlers took on the project. It took a couple but my truck was up and running and issues that were found even while it was at the shop were repaired. The communication between the front office and the shop are not the best though but its not a deal breaker for me. I would hamds down take my truck back to be worked on.

I called Chandlers Towing to get a diagnostic on my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The young lady, Candace, that I spoke with the first day and subsequent days after was the kindest soul Ive ever had the pleasure of speaking to. In a times like this with everything thats going on in the world right now it was great speaking to such a kind. and extremely professional person. My Son use to repair my cars, hes now living in another state. Finding someone that I can trust to repair my vehicles was so frustrating and stressful for me. And then I called Chandlers and the first voice I heard was Candaces. When I took my car in for repair the guys in the shop, especially Troy was so wonderful and patient with me. I am so grateful to everyone that I encountered at Chandlers. Thank you for your genuine kindness. Sylvia.

I feel sorry for my friend in Durham who almost let his car be towed at the parking lot by Chandlers Tire Auto & Towing LLC. Paid $100 to unlock the wheels. If towed to the shop where it is about 3 miles away, it would be $200 to get it back. So they think people always have $100 bucks in their pocket? I guess not. They know most of the people dont have that much cash. They can easily earn your $200 cash safe and sound in a short 3- mile drive. Brilliant!!! They are definitely a professional-car-tower. They can lock your wheel and tow you car in a split second. When you show up, the only two words they say are cash or debit. Has the IRS noticed anything wrong?They dont care what youve been up to, even if you havent violated the parking rules. They wont listen to you because they have your car as hostage. They also go to apartments and buildings to grab peoples cars without having contract with the premises. They had been exposed of bad practice on ABC11 News. Complaints filed at BBB. And then? Business still runs. Money still pours in. Wheres the justice? What are our government leaders and officials doing? Showing up during election and enjoying life after that?

Absolute vultures. Ignored my temporary registration and slapped a giant sticker on my car threatening to tow away from my own apartment complex due to expired tags. When I called to inquire about how to avoid the tow (since my car is legally registered), was treated disrespectfully, given zero help, and the tow truck still attempted to come tow my car away the following day.

I was towed at my apartment complex because my parking decal had fallen onto the top of my center console. When I explained that I was a resident Chandlers still charged me the full tow plus the cost of storage the same day it was towed. They were quick about releasing my car after I paid the $200. I was agitated and not polite when I called about my car and they told me I should be nice to people even when in a bad situation. Real charity work these people provide. Then they had the nerve to say they dont make the rules which I translated as even though your a resident were going to milk you for every penny we can.

These people are absolute vultures. They towed my car from my apartment complex in the middle of the night because it was illegally parked in parallel parking spots that get used absolutely everyday at the complex. I then go talk to the leasing office and was told that they had even called chandler towing the week prior and told them not to come tow cars unless they called and asked them to come tow a car. I now have missed work and still have to go pay the fee to get my car back and hope that my apartment complex gives me SOME credit for the cost.

Trash .Called them 6 times in one day. Each time they verified yet failed to turn up. Do not under any circumstances use this company

My wife was in a fender bender and Chandler towing arrived before the Highway Patrol. They waited patiently for Highway Patrol to allow them to tow. They were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend.

Cheap as hell to have someones vehicle towed. But they charged 300 for my car which was in durham while recipients from chapel Hill tow only paid 180

We got a car towed today but I could not have had a BETTER expeience with Chandlers Towing today. Both Candace and Michael were so kind and I really cant express how much I appreciate the kindness and understanding you guys provided. Thank you all so very much:)

Car was towed around 3am from my apartment complex. I went the next day to retrieve it from this predatory towing company and as I tried to pay the $250 fee with a card, the woman behind the counter spouted we prefer cash despite a card machine sitting in front of her face. I told her I only had a card and she repeated the line we prefer cash... and said to go to the gas station around the corner. Someone should investigate why they prefer cash payment and if theyre properly reporting their income.

Towed my car when i am cleaning, very rude staff, and liars, just there to steal the money. Open 24/7 is a lie. Charges extra gate fee on weekends. Only cash payments accepted no reciept nothing..

Absolute crooks. Towed an apartment residents car in the middle of the night because it was six inches into the handicap safety aisle (with the diagonal lines) - NOT the handicap spot. She was forced to find a ride for her kids to get to school in the morning finding her car gone. They claim it was double parked but when questioned on what the law actually describes double parked as they said theyll change it to obstructing handicap access when 95% of that safety aisle is available. It was obvious they really didnt care what the reason was but were just looking to make some money. When it came down to what theyre authorized to tow for it wasnt accurate, but of course it would end in a loss of money and lots of time for the person to take them to small claims court even if they knew theyd win. They charged $200 to get the car back. Ironically the apartment complex manager parks in the same manner almost every day (attached picture) and the residents car wasnt over the line as much as this one. Absolutely amazed these people can sleep at night with inconveniencing and financially taking advantage of people that are NOT parked illegally. The also refused to allow me to record our conversation when we were at their place of business.Seeing their replies to similar complaints it is necessary to point out there is nothing illegal about this parking example.

This place is terrible! Our car was towed around midnight. We went to look for our car after two in the morning. We had received no call or message letting us know it had been towed, so we called the police thinking it was stolen. Our car had been fully paid for, so its not like we had tickets or bills to pay off. The towing company filled out the information wrong saying our car was white instead of grey, so it took the police even longer to track it down. When we called them, we were told we would have to pick it up in an hour because the driver was all the way out in Cary. We waited the hour and when we tried to call to let them know we were coming to pick it up, no one answered. When we reached the place, no one came to the door even though they were open. It was $250 to get it when we were told .They held it longer to jack up the price. This place disgusts me. Stay away from this place unless you want to be ripped off and sent on wild goose chases.

In September my apartment complex had the cars towed if they hadnt been moved to paint the parking lot,although I feel that he couldve waited a minute longer while I threw on some clothes;but at any rate my cars were towed. When I got my jeep back it wasnt driving right and I learned when I went to get a front in alignment that my cars entire wheel housing had been snatched out. I took it to my mechanic and found that the tow truck had damaged my car,my mechanic at Richardson Auto also helped a great deal by detailing the work hed have done;it was then that Dennis decided to help me pay for the $1400 worth of damage that was done to my jeep. Then yesterday my car was towed while visiting my cousin a, for parking over the line and ; God knows that I didnt/dont have the money for my vehicle. Im going through a rough patch right now and I received an Christmas present and I dont even know this man. Thanks Chandlers I will Pay it Forward.Afi Byrd

I always get my car taken care of here. I have had new radiator pipes put in, brakes and always get my inspections done here as well. They are very nice and prices are reasonable and whatever they fix on the car I have no problems with. People here are complaining about cars being towed which does not reflect Chandlers, it reflects the people who dont follow their appartments policies or simply park anywhere they want. On my way to get my crab legs and hit a speed bump with a pot hole and breaks my right shock and ball joints.Van locks up and thank GOD know one was in front of me.Dropped the passenger front down to were the wheel will not turn or move.Huge shout out to Chandlers Towing and Auto Service Durham for super fast response time and especially the tow truck driver named John. He made a bad day brighter.Well got it towed home and I took the Maxima to get my crab legs because we will not be denied the New Year taste of crab legs.Just happy to be safe.

If I could give them a zero I would believe me. The most unethical business I have ever encountered. They towed my car not once but twice from my place of residence. Every time they tow it they state it is a tag issue but my tags are current and up to date. They should not have a business license because they are not professionals but scammers.

Rarely will you find an auto mechanic shop that offers service as great as Chandlers Towing & Automotive Center. They provided me with shuttle service to my job while they accurately diagnosed and repaired a problem with my cars cooling system. They are personable, down to earth, honest, and genuinely nice. Having ASE certified mechanics on site is... just icing on the cake. *** Highly Recommended ***

One of the best places Ive worked for and they really are caring people despite the reviews the people that have been towed left. Its unfortunate when your vehicle is towed due to towing enforcement rules in different areas but despite that, they have huge hearts and really try their best to take care of everyone!

This towing service is incredibly predatory towards poor people. I live in a low income apartment complex, I make $11 an hour at my part time job, and my roommate makes less than that at hers. We had two friends over for dinner, we weren’t having some noisy party, just a couple of friends for dinner. In the 20 minutes that we were all inside eating, Chandler’s towing came by and towed both of our friends cars, and of course it would be $250 each to get them out. Our complex has no clearly marked visitor’s parking spots and therefore this is ridiculously unfair. I would have to work 36 hours to pay for both cars myself. I am livid and when I go to get my friend’s cars tomorrow, you can rest assured that I will not be letting them hear the end of it.

This is about my fourth time going to Chandlers and every time I am greeted with smiles and great attitudes, the whole team from the mechanics front desk lady and others that are there, all of them seem to be enjoying what theyre doing and very helpful and courteous this time I had an inspection done and the guys are great and theyre fast will I will continue to go back.

Quick response time, took five minutes to help me with a flat tire. Reasonable prices and very professional. Thank you, the stranded nurse.

Towed my car from my work parking lot with my parking decal clearly visible. Told me it would be $250 to get my car back. It took me 2 hrs to find a ride to their shop. I showed up, the tow truck driver demanded to see my work ID, then said, take the car, I see the decal. No Apology, no class. I asked if there was an inconvenience fee to which he said, you get to take your car for free. Duh. No compensation for gas money or wasting my entire night tracking my car down. Terrible customer service

Dirty, corrupt, etc. Just avoid them at all costs. Call CPR or someone else. Trust me, they stole and sold one of my cars. The local authorities didnt even try to help me get my vehicle. My vehicle was towed because apparently it is illegal to park a vehicle in your own parking space, if the vehicle registration is expired. Smh.

My truck broke down at the VA today. I called one tow company and left a message, they never called back. I called Chandlers and they came promptly. Once at the shop they told me what was wrong, and me being two hours from home, their mechanic stayed late and got me on the road. Everyone their was professional and very skilled. The repair was expensive, but a very fair and competitive price. I hope I dont need them again but if I do, I will gladly call them.

We use Chandlers in our apartment community. They are always a pleasure to speak with. The work they do for us is fantastic & the auto shop never fails to please. I give them my highest recommendation for towing & auto repairs.

I paid $77 for a diagnostic and it would have been well worth the money if Id gotten trustworthy information. My diesel wouldnt start (again) and I needed to know why and what it would take to get it going.They wouldnt return my calls for a week! When they finally did bother to talk to me, Mike said it was the fuel pump and it would cost at least $1,000 to fix so I would be best off to just have him crush it there for scrap metal and hed give me a few hundred for that.I wanted to keep the thing around cause of a legal battle with the dealer, I didnt want to crush it just yet. And I came to find out from several sources that even just the scrap metal was worth twice as much as Chandlers offered me, under the guise of giving me sage advice and saving me a lot.Similarly, I had one guy tell me the fuel pump shouldnt cost that much and offered to fix it for half as much, and finally a friend ended up doing it for $100, one tenth what Chandlers quoted me! They found the pump itself for less than a tenth of what Chandlers said the pump alone would cost!Dont trust these guys, they run their business sloppily and their advice cant be trusted at all.

Horrible company, I would never recommend this place. They towed my car and my transmission went bad within 10 miles of my work and would not accept any responsibility. There was nothing wrong with my car until they towed it. Also would only accept cash at 7am in the morning.

The worst experience. They towed both of my vehicles from my apartment complex where I live, pay rent, and purchased parking passes. They charged $200 per vehicle only days before Christmas. Once I arrived, I was not shown the proof that my apartment manager verified it was legal for them to tow my cars nor the pictures they stated they had to verify their right to tow them. I asked for the right to see and inspect my vehicles before I paid $400. I was then told I had to produce cash because their machine was inoperable. I had to be driven to the nearest bank due to taking an Uber to get to the tow yard with my daughter. It is one thing to run a business but entirely another to use it as a way to take advantage of people especially days before Christmas. To quote a favorite holiday movie: Merry Christmas ya filthy animal. I definitely used a more sonorous salutation upon leaving their premises.

This company is known to be predatory towing cars. They have nasty attitudes and are known criminals that been in the news. The drivers try to intimidate you by open carrying guns on their waist. You can live at an apartment complex or do business at the location you are at and they will still tow your car and charge you. Thats even with the manager speaking up for you. Hoping their illegal activities will eventually catch up with them and they are shut down.

I was paying for my car the lady at the front counted my money twice then went working on the computer. One of her worker took 20 dollars from my money I just gave her, to give it to another worker. She looked down and recounted, said I was 20 dollars short. Lucky the man who took the money told the lady. I give him the stars but everything else sucked. She was very rude on the phone.

These guys are crooks. They have put up obscure signs about towing throughout Durham and then lie in wait to tow off your car at the slightest opportunity. Mine was taken off the Kroger parking lot on Hillsborough Road. I looked for signs to make sure there was no objection to leaving my car in the lot for a short while. The signs posted throughout the Kroger parking lot say, no soliciting, no loitering, no trespassing. I intended to come back and get my groceries, instead there was no car, a $200 fee to get the car, and $35 a day in additional parking if you couldnt get the cash pick it up out on East Club. As the main tenant in the shopping area, Krogers has some responsibility in this . They need to contact the landlord of the shopping center to make sure the signage is up on the poles throughout the lot, and they need to stop saying there is nothing we can do. They refused to give out the phone number of their landlord, and they are not showing proper responsibility for their customers and employees (who have also been towed).

I witnessed these folks endure some extreme abuse from people who should have known better. My complex decided to clean up our community image and changed the parking rules to require vehicles that had damage be parked in visitor parking. We had become some type of junk yard and this was the way the board decided to fix the problem. When the rules are broken, somebody has to be the villain. Unfortunately, Chandlers had to enforce the rules. I saw these guys get accosted by the rule breakers several times and they handled it far better than I would have. They kept there cool during a difficult time and got the job done. Big thumbs up.

Honestly, this is the trashiest place I have ever came in contact with. The secretary will not hesitate to cuss at you on the phone. One of the first words to me was shut the f*** up. No class at all. These people go through neighborhoods/low-income areas and take advantage of people. I wouldnt recommend them to a single person in Durham/Raleigh/Chapel Hill. 300$ to get a car out of the lot? A 50$ fee to open the gate? Cmon now. Money hungry trash.

Money hungry ass tow company!!! They prey on Apartment Complexes they tow for.. They come to the complex every night to see who car they can lift up to get some quick cash out of you just to drop your car! They lift it and wait to see if somebody runs out to get they car so they can put easy money in their pockets! They are the worst Tow Company Ever!!!!

Took my car from my apartment complex (private property) at 5A without receiving a call from the leasing office. There’s much more to this story but it’s safe to say their towing practices are sketch at best.
