Overall very pleasant experience. Fair price and honors your appointment (unlike many places, where appointment makes no differences). Jobs are done professionally. (unlike many places such as my Honda dealer, who cheated and charge rotations that they did not perform, never has the tire pressure right, never reset TMPS, and one time even forgot to put on one nut the wheel) Here they actually labels the tire before rotation to minimize the chance of human mistake. They also actually checked the tire pressure instruction label on the door and inflate your tire properly. What’s even better? Rotations and balances are free if you purchase the tire at here.An added benefit is that you can watch the entire garage workspace outside. Either you are bored at waiting and want to look for something fun or you just have too many traumatized experiences with mechanics and want to watch it done properly. You have the option to do so :D and they are friendly as well and won’t yell at you to go away :D

We are Atlanta residents and we use our local Discount Tire for all of our vehicles. We were driving on I-85 near Durham, NC when the pressure in one tire began dropping. My wife called this location and asked if they could look at the tire. The said that they would and they replaced the tire in a mere 40 minutes. I only had to pay $38 to buy insurance for the replacement tire. The staff who helped me were courteous, efficient and professional. Thank You Discount Tire for getting us back on the road.

Went in to get a yearly tire inspection, rotation, and balance. Greeted me rather quickly. Got my vehicle into the shop right away. Unfortunately, one of the tires did not appear to have undergone balancing. All four tires were under inflated by 5 lbs. Not impressed. But to their credit. The tires I purchased from Discount Tire have held up quite well.

These people were awesome in helping us get back on the road. We had a wreck on our way to the Outer Banks. A tire was needed but my bumper was badly damaged. The manager was awesome. He tapped up our bumper and used ties to hold it. My heart felt thanks to him and his crew. Very nice people. They deserve a good raise. It would be wise to keep this team, and manager, together. My 17 year old son and I share a Toyota Tacoma, and he wanted to add aftermarket wheels which he found at this Discount Tire location in Durham. We trusted their expertise and were treated well during the purchase, but learned some months later unusual wear on the lug nuts. Truck was brought in today 6/28/21 and spoke with a manager named James. He explained that the lug nuts were not safe to begin with and promised to correct the problem. He was courteous and professional, quickly owned up to the mistake, and installed the extended length lug nuts that matched the aftermarket wheels at no charge to us. Thank you James for doing right by us.

CH Tire on 15/501 near my house blew me off on an appointment I set. So I went to Discount Tire as we had a slow leak and maybe needed to swap out all 4 tires after 4.5 years. They met me outside, took measurements, and found the slow leak to be a sidewall nail, non-reparable which I had assumed it would be. We went with a swap out of all 4 tires to just even everything out, price was about what I expected for 4 minivan tires of higher quality (just under a grand). The amazing part though was that it took literally 40 minutes for everything to be done and I was out the door by 1015 after checking in for 5 minutes at 930. Definitely will return for any future tire issues - great service and speedy!

I ordered online and had an appointment. I got there a few minutes early but they took me right away and I had my car back less than 15 minutes after my original appointment time. In and out in about 30 minutes! All of the employees were super nice and very professional. While I waited, I saw they were fairly steady with business so its not like I was there during a slow time. Social distancing was really easy with lots of open space in the store and the chairs were set up at reasonable distances. They also had hand sanitizer and offered masks of anyone needed them. I was very happy with the service and my visit.

I had a flat tire on 40 this evening around 5 PM and was an hour from home. I called this Discount Tire location at 5:35 PM (they close at 6 PM) and asked if I could get 2 new tires tonight. The person I spoke to was super friendly and said of course I’ll go ahead and check you in. I even told him I wouldn’t be there until 5:55 and he still said they would be more than happy to help me. I had new tires by 6:30. Great people. I’m very grateful - Thank you!

I had a missing lug nut and another company wouldnt replace my tires. Discount tire helped me identify a complimentary replacement they had on hand that allowed me to get my tires replaced. Phenomenal service and Ill be buying from them next time.

It was that time again to replace my tires and after reading a few reviews I decided on Discount Tire. Very friendly staff and help finding the correct tire for my car, but when I looked at my invoice there was a charge for a certificate totaling $68. Hmmm, I asked Avi the assistant manager and his answer was if I got a nail in my tire I could get a new tire for no charge. Ok, well that sounds good but Im planning to sell the car in a few months and really dont need it. He was fine to remove it and I said Dont you normally ask a customer if they want the warranty?. He said the computer automatically puts it on, but no one is required to buy it. All in all he was fine with crediting the money back, but why not be upfront in the first place? Tires were fine, service was fairly fast, except the valve caps were all left off my tires. All in all Id say it was a good experience but check your invoice for unnecessary charges.

It was a great experience. Initially I had gone to another tire shop, and they had check my tire and said I had to replace it because they couldnt patch it. I was not convinced and had simply had them put the spare. The next day I found Discount Tire and the service was amazing. Matthew helped me and he explained the process of the tire and how they check the tire to see if they can patch it up (which the previous place did not do). He was really honest with me and gave me all the information that I needed to know to understand. They got it done in less than an hour. I will definitely have this as my #1 tire shop for sure.

My tire pressure indicator went off showing pressure at 25/40/41/45... the technician corrected the pressure and took the time to check the tire with the lowest pressure to see if there was a nail or something that might have caused it to be so low. He didnt find anything, but advised me to keep an eye on it to be safe. Greatly appreciated his advice.

Kudos to the staff. I stopped on my way to an appointment to get air for one of my tires. It was so under inflated it had to be patched. The staff was amazing. They took care of it and I was on my way. They were very courteous, efficient and practiced social distancing! If you need tires, make sure you stop in. They are right off of Chapel Hill blvd.

The Rack place is a huge hassle....and Big box across town gave me a good price but doesnt open until 10am... I would even have to arrive by 9:30 to, maybe, get the first walk-in spot. Instead, Discount Tire beat their prices and I was back on the road in way under 45 minutes....just about the time I wouldve been starting the paperwork at the other place. For the covid wary, you drop your keys in a baggie and they have chairs well-spaced in their huge showroom. The whole evolution couldnt have been better.

Had a nail near edge of a tire with 5/10 tread left in a car I do not use much. I stopped at Auction Direct & Just Tires close to 55/54 area where i live. Both said i need a new tire. I went to Discount Tire and Bryan was positive and suggested trying repairing tire first. Best part - FREE - even though I bought the tires new on EBay. Fixed! When I need tires for any of my vehicles;guess where I will be going.P.S. Everyone ; Customers & Workers must wear a MASK !

Made the appointment at 130 pm, arrived at 1, seeing 3 cars came after me being serviced before mine. Up until 2pm, my car still sits In the parking lot. Unless their appointments are at 1245, I do not know why Im being pushed back on the timing, or yet the point of making an appointment.

I went in today for a tire pressure check and found I had a nail in the tire. Bryan has the one tire repaired and rotated them all. All at no cost. I had all my tires replaced here. Everything was fine until my car started acting up, and turns out whoever replaced my tires did not tighten the lugnuts. 3 lugnuts fell off my passenger side wheel at somepoint when I was going down the interstate, which put me in a potentially horrid situation. I wouldve left a better review if not for this stupid and dangerous mistake.

I have been here many times now for both just flat tire repairs, and new tires as well. Every time they are curteous, responsive to questions, and get you in and out FAST. Even without an appointment, they do everything they can to get your problem resolved and back on the road quickly. They also always take the time to explain how the tread is on your tires and what they recommend. Highly recommend them for all of your tire issues.

I think folks should understand, this place gets busy! When a location of any kind is remains busy, it means they are doing something right.The guys over at Sams Club required an appointment and Firestone requires $30 to patch a flat. This location provides free tire patching - who does that anymore!? Gotta cut them some slack for that.Although super busy, Mr. Marlon provided the most attentive care. Did his best to keep me posted with status of my vehicle. The other guys got busy so he jumped into ensure execution of my service job. One thing they may need to do is to add more cushion to their time projections. I believe they could be unintentionally under shooting the completion time frame. Thank you Marlon again for courteous service. Yes, I recommend.

Overall not bad...been going here for the last twelve years. Not as discounted as it once was years ago but it is convenient, fairly fast and the selection is almost unlimited. Next day installation on tires they dont have in stock. Staff is friendly and know tires giving you options from economy to high performance.

I called here to get help ordering tires so that I could have them installed at this location. Carl answered the phone and he was the most disrespectful and unhelpful person. Customer service is 0/5. Would not help with pricing and kept saying you can just find it online. I feel like if someone calls in, the least you can do is answer their questions. When the website was not working he kept saying it was straightforward and did not understand why I couldnt figure it out. Obviously something was going on with the website and the least he could have done was offer assistance and not act like I was incompetent. Will not be going to this location. Disappointed because it is not that hard to be nice to someone, especially with all the unprecedented craziness that is happening in the world right now.

I had a screw in my tire near 5:30 pm and went to three places trying to get help so I could drive the 100 miles home. Discount tire had the only helpful customer service attitude even though all three places were scheduled to close at six. Thankfully they were able to plug my tire.

Called to make an appointment. I was told if you come now we should be able to get you right in. So I did, and they did. Tire rotation in and out in under 30 minutes as a walk in. What more can you ask for? On top of that I got a quick quote for a new set of tires as well.

Had a used tire to place on to my car. I could not place it on there since the last person who took the tire off striped the lug nuts. Wife went to see if these individuals could take the two lug nuts in question off, so that the tire that we already bought could go on there. Charged us 40 dollars and replaced the two striped lug nuts. Seems a bit steep. Brother is a 15 year mechanic veteran, and he agrees.

Employees are very courteous and professional. I had two nails in one of my tires. They provided me with an honest, expert assessment of the life remaining on my tires and kept the damaged tire overnight. They plugged the two holes for FREE and I returned the following day at my convenience and only had to wait 15 minutes for them to replace the spare tire I had attached with the one they repaired. I rarely write a review, but I need to write a review for discount tire. This is absolute place you should go if you are seeking help regarding tires. People here are nice, professional and responsible. I had a flat tire at 4:00 PM, called DT and was told that I can have my car fixed by the end of the day if I can arrive by 6 PM (The store closed at 6 pm, supposedly). Drove there, thinking that I certainly needed to replace my tires, because the metals (sensor part) were absolutely broken. They had a quick evaluation on it as soon as I arrived, explained well about the situation to me. They fixed it in an hour, and had my car ready at 6:20. What shocks me is that they fixed it for free, because after the evaluation, it is a two-piece sensor, so they replaced the outer part for free. Seriously, I was ready to pay quite a lot money to replace the whole tire or maybe two tires, because to me, this is not fixable. I am so grateful to these guys, because they are honest, and they care about your time and your money. I certainly become a royal customer of DT, and I highly recommend discount tire to everyone.

I called beforehand and made an appointment, which I highly recommend because I believe you could wait for quite awhile without one. Amazing service! I had bought 4 new tires from them almost 2 years ago. They offer free tire rotations every 4 months or every 5,000 miles... I had a nail or screw in one of my tires that they fixed for no extra charge... I suggest that you call for an appointment if you can because this place stays busy... I have had multiple tire sets changed at this location over the past few years. Very good, quick and courteous service. While having my tires rotated and balanced (for free ) yesterday, I observed the mechanics as they were working on various cars, and was very impressed with the attention and seriousness of the whole operation. Meanwhile, listening to the guys at the desk, I can tell they were not trying to push products on customers. Highly recommended overall.

Had tires put on there. The staff there is over the top helpful with out being a hard sale, it was more like the showed you several options based on your needs. I had my tires balanced with the road force balancing and it turned out fantastic! I had large off road type tires which are harder to balance correctly. This is now my go to tire store!!Highly recommend.

I’m continually impressed by the excellent quality of service here. I have purchased tires here (they price-matched a competitor) and return as recommended for the complementary rotations. I once used their free tire repair service after running over a nail. The staff members are very courteous. Sometimes tire rotation wait times are a tad long (~2 hours) because they’re so busy, but I don’t mind since they welcome walk-ins. I wouldn’t take my business anywhere else.

I recently purchased tires and wheels from this Discount Tire location. I had a great experience as a customer. Ryan, spent a good deal of time helping me locate the wheels that were right for me. I had an idea in mind and Ryan took the time to listen to what I was looking for and find a wheel that worked. The installation was quick and efficient. The mechanics also fielded my questions, which looking back were very basic, and answer my questions in ways I could understand, which helped my understand of my own vehicle as well. I recommend this location and will bring my business back to them in the future.

FANTASTIC SERVICE! I went on the Saturday before Christmas and they were super busy. The guy that checked me in and brought my tire to the garage was very nice and answered any questions I had. (being this my first time ever having to repair a tire) he told me it would be about 2 hours if I wanted to drive around then come back. When I got back, they fixed my tire and put it back on my car at NO COST. I look forward to working with them in the future as their service was outstanding!

I dont understand how a tire store can operate with out being able to do or check alignments. It is a waste of money to put new tires on a car without checking, and if necessary checking the alignment.

I bought the tire damage insurance when I bought this set of tires and it has paid itself off in just two times Ive needed to use it. I had to wait over an hour, but today was a very busy day at DT, so no complaints. Other times my cars been serviced very promptly. The waiting area is quiet, has comfortable seating and free coffee and refrigerated water bottles. Last but not least, the employees are very helpful and polite and they have free tire air pressure check and pressure brought back to specks at no cost not just for clients, but for anyone that drives up to the service area used for that purpose.

A bit pricey but very good service and great job in in timely manner.

I will always come here for tires. The staff is always attentive and happy to answer all my questions. Tire rotation and balance is free if you buy the tires from them. The second I walk in the door, someone greets me immediately. It doesnt matter if there are several people in the lobby that need to be helped, they always have enough staff so that Ive never had to wait more that 5 minutes to talk to an associate. They also seemed to be fully staffed in the garage, because even when they are busy, Ive never had to wait very long for my car. Plus they have awesome prices and are always running great deals

Last year while in Durham I had new tires put in my SUV. I paid for 255/50s. I noticed the ride seemed rather rough but figured it was just because they were new. Well yesterday, my husband checked the pressure and niticed we had 1) 255/50 and 3) 255/55. How very special!!So now in Georgia I took it to the Discount tire here to rectify. They didnt have the same tires so upgraded a bit but now, thankfully this place had some intelligent staff who put all the correct sizes on. Shame on you folks!

Came across a nail in my tire, which was absurd given I had been to maybe 2 places since the Covid-19 measures were put into place. Im a bit like Ron Swanson in my reviews because rarely am I so absolutely impressed that I feel it worthy to review something. Discount Tire offered these wonderful things which I will now rave about:- A website that was easy enough to use and had multiple ways to search.- A reasonable price compared to what Ive seen in other stores-Flexible scheduling times- A good Covid-19 safety measure system of curbside assistance and no waiting room access (a nice adaptation)- really quick repair of my tire- Absolutely outstanding service by the person greeting me and the person doing the work. No upselling tactic, which is something that makes me despite about 90% of businesses, and an honest discussion that didnt make me feel like I was being talked down to.Cannot recommend this location enough. Please continue to use our other types of essential services when you can and when the world gets back to normal, this should be a preferred location for anything tire related.

I ordered two tires online for my wifes car. I did not pay the online order but set it up to be paid at the store. They then changed the online order and charged her an extra $30.00 - having added the tire protection package to each tire. They ran the credit card when she dropped the car off and gave her the bill after the work was done. When she caught the error - because I told her about how much it was to cost- and pointed that out to them they tried to get her to keep it. Caveat Emptor

A couple weeks back one tire blew and another tire needed patching. I’d put enough miles on those tires and decided it was time for a new set. After some online price shopping, I settled on Discount Tire. Time was, I’d just go to the dealership for tires, but the dealership lost my business after several incidents where the tires weren’t properly secured to the car, and they damaged my stereo doing warranty work. So, Discount Tire now has my business. They were professional and courteous. The salesman wasn’t pushy at all, and I like their recommendation system for tires. We decided from four criteria on their computer what was most important to me, and I’m super satisfied with the tires. The ride is comfy and the noise level has gone way down from the old tires. They got the work done in the time it took me to get a burger next door and do some shopping at Target. Like I said, I’ll be doing my tire shopping there from now on.

We had four tires replaced here and they did a great job on our vehicle. They have a comfortable waiting area that has coffee, tea, and bottled water. The staff is conscientious and they are all terrific with young children. Paul, the manager, gave both my daughters the grand tour of the garage so they could learn how Discount Tire finds and fixes tire punctures. My girls also had the opportunity to walk through the tire loft and see how many tires Discount Tire keeps in inventory and how the tires get down to the garage floor and also the conveyor belt that takes tires up to the tire loft. I would recommend Discount Tire to anyone looking for a reputable place that they can trust with their vehicles.

Two days after a routine oil change at my local dealership, my ‘Check System’ light came on for my tires. I took my car back to that dealership, where they were quick to say the tire pressure monitors could give out at any time and how my after-market sensors from Discount Tire would not last as long as their brand’s. I replaced my sensors before with the manufacturer’s and those lasted months whereas it has been over a year since I got mine here at Discount Tire.The dealership was quick to quote me a price of almost $300 for labor and parts, when all I wanted was for them to check a system they said was perfectly fine two days prior. All this to say that Discount Tires was able to tell me within 5 minutes that all of my sensors were functioning and reset the system free of charge for me. I got new wheels and tires as well in November 2017 and they were extremely helpful in finding the right style within my budget. Their free tire pressure checks have also been extremely quick and convenient before any long-distance trips I make. I highly recommend this store. Absolutely the best service I have ever seen in this industry.
