5 stars! Got to Durango and had issues with exhaust filter re-gen. They diagnosed it and found the root cause, a hole in one plastic component of the turbo charger system. Got the part in a day, performed a forced re-gen, and got us back on the road. Shout out to Todd (the owner), and Techs Cody, Julian, and Jim. Superior customer service! Thanks guys!

I totally trust Vandegrift with my trucks. When it comes to automotive repair, I want to go someplace where, when I walk in the door they know me by name and theyre always honest with me... and they do great work. Thats Vandegrift Diesel. And they work on all kinds of vehicles... not just diesels. Good people who do good work.

Todd, owner, is a prime example of how customer service should be demonstrated. I like Jim to work on my cars but the customer service is 5 stars!! One time, Todd personally came out to my house and helped me with a bad starter and solenoid and you dont get that from a lot of people these days. I wont take my cars anywhere else besides Vandergrift!

Absolutely a fantastic shop as far as price, quality and care go. My first experience with this shop was an overheating issue. They fixed that in literally 15 minutes(its a honda). ive had suspension work, tune up, electrical, exhaust and starting some trans work. They have a new double certified welder that actually knows what hes doing and lays down some good, reassuring, strong beads. my exhaust is finally worth showing off!The master mechanic, Jim, is quite amazing as far as diagnoses and repairs. there is literally nothing he can not repair.this shop not only does big rigs, equipment, trucks, diesels, and gasoline motors, but they have a fabricator that will do railings, fencing, repairs, ornamental, fireplace frames ect.the owners have an exemplary attitude and professionalism towards their customers.I would certainly recommend this shop.

We were from out of town and we worried about finding reputable mechanics to do work for us. These guys were awesome on servicing my truck in a timely matter and their price was very reasonable. I would go no where else but here if I were to visit the area again.

They can’t diagnose a cracked fuel pump. They had my truck for a month and when I got it back it was worse than before. Month later I go get it from Vandergrift and parts were touching the belt and my heater vent under my feet is broken, god only knows what else I have look at to make sure nothing else is broken or moved out of place. I had to take it to built to last!

1) Customer Service: everyone I interacted with was very nice both on the phone and in person, BUT I had to initiate all contact. Several times I went 2-3 business days without any phone calls letting me know what was happening with the diagnostic process.2) Service: I had my 6.0 powerstroke towed in with a crank no-start issue of seemingly electronic origin. While the truck got started and continues to start, no known fix was done. Talking with the mechanic, my guess is this place specializes more in heavy duty trucks and equipment, more than consumer model items. Not a bad thing, just not the specialist I needed this time.

Came here to have a mid-road trip check up on my Ford F-250 and couldnt be more pleased with the service. Got me in and out quickly, tech would pop in and give updates as they ran through the systems on the vehicle. Very friendly and professional.

I brought in my Ram 3500 for its first service. Oil change, lube, fuel filters, and an alignment at just under 10K miles. I expected service to exceed the dealership level, and Im sadly disappointed that isn’t the case. To start, the service adviser was unable to give me a quote, he said it depends on the price of the filters. Once I arrived, I was suspicious of the dirty shop, and many pieces of equipment in various stages of assembly, but being a lover of food trucks, I know some of my best meals have come from questionable establishments. The alignment issue of pulling right was not corrected, despite being told it was taken out for a test drive. With the miles in and out of service being the same on my invoice, once again I’m suspicious.I made it very obvious when I dropped off the truck that I wanted the front driveshaft lubed, per the service interval guide, and the sticker that is under the hood to remind the tech. This was not completed, because the tech had seen at least one Ram Truck without a lube fitting. Fortunately at my insistence the tech went back, found the fitting and lubed the driveshaft. Though I’m unsure if he used the lithium based grease the manufacturer recommends. The oil and fuel filter change reminder were not reset, and paper wasn’t used to protect the interior from filthy boots.I have a nice truck, and do my best to care for it, I’ll never allow these jokers to touch my rig again. I did save about $30 over taking it to the dealership, not worth the hassle I endured.

Great for Diesel and Farm Equipment. I just moved to Durango to start rural living, and I lacked a good local mechanic. I used other diesel shops reading reviews, and I was robbed blind. Todd and his shop provide fair and honest service. They have fixed a couple problems that took a minute, or a simple spring and they charged me zinch.

Terrible weld job done on my familys truck when having a snow plow installed. Things werent properly aligned and the welds are already rusting. Stress due to the misalignment of components caused welds to break under standard driving conditions. Very disappointed in the lack of quality in the work done and the lack of the business standing behind their work in repairing the obvious issues due to their installation without us having to pay again for them to fix their mistakes.

Started having a overheating problem in our Rv on saturday pm. We found this repair shop 10 minutes before they closed. They were great. The guys stayed over trying to find our problem. Turned out the parts we needed had to be sent on monday. We stayed the weekend in Durango and they got us in first thing monday. What an awesome experience.
