It was bizarre. I had an appointment scheduled. I took a half day off of work. The stylist was over 20 minutes late and then told me she didnt have time to give me the services that were scheduled. I felt bullied and didnt get my hair done. It sucked because my birthday is on Sunday and I was really looking forward to it.

I have naturally curly hair and have had some previous bad experiences, but I highly recommend Emily. She cut my hair perfectly and made sure she understood what I wanted. I was very happy and got compliments on the new cut!

Emily is A-MAZING. Im newish to the area and was terrified I wasnt going to be able to find a good stylist but I won the lottery with this one! Emily is super knowledgable. She understands my hair type and made recommendations on cuts, color and products that will work best for me. I havent loved my hair more than when I leave her chair. Im so thankful I found this gem of a woman! If you are searching for a new stylist, do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Emily!

I personally go to Courtney for my hair and it is always a great experience. She has bent over backwards to help cut my boys hair (both have sensory issues and struggle with haircuts). Emily has done a great job on my makeup and I recently had an amazing massage from Marissa. Along with those 3 rock stars, Ive heard nothing but great things about all the girls that work there. The atmosphere is relaxing and friendly and Id recommend to everyone.

This salon is not good with scheduling. If you have a tight schedule I do not recommend trying here. Lost a costumer due to not knowing proper times and dates.

Abby did an amazing job on my wedding hair! She is my regular stylist, so we had been talking about what I wanted for a while and she took the extra time to practice it on a mannequin before the wedding day and on my wedding day, my hair was exactly how I had dreamed it would be. I felt so confident and I truly believe it was due to her perfectionism on my hair and makeup. There were a couple other stylists who did my wedding parties hair and they did amazing as well. We all were so happy with our services and felt that we looked great, what else could we ask for!? I would highly recommend and of the amazing stylists at Fringe!

Tommi did my wedding hair and make up and was so great! I loved it in the end and she was very fun to talk to. All of my bridesmaids had their hair and make up done by other stylists and were very happy with the results as well!

This is a great salon with a cool atmosphere. Jen did an amazing job as my stylist. She was very knowledgeable about how to work with my thin, curly hair. She showed me how to style it, and I was actually able to replicate the look the next day with minimal effort. I love my hair for the first time in a long time. Definitely recommend this place!

Had a great experience with a haircut andcolor. I’m always very nervous to have new people work with my hair, which is curly, long and thick. The stylist Emily Marten listened to what I wanted and listened to my concerns and did an amazing job on my hair. She is so friendly, kind, and attentive. It took three hours to do my hair and I could tell she really cared how it turned out and didn’t rush through. I would definitely recommend and I intend on returning.

Fringe Salon is the go to place for all things hair in Dubuque. Ive been a client for awhile now and can say I would trust any stylist there with my hair. The staff is always bubbly and willing to go the extra mile for their clients. Overall great customer service and experience!

When I went into the salon, I asked for purple mermaid hair. And thats just what I got! All the stylists are very friendly and helpful throughout the appointment. Jessica even stayed after hours to finish. I would definitely recommend this salon to everyone.

They are very friendly, and the person who cuts my hair does a great job all of the time. They even offer you a drink (wine, coffee, beer, etc.) To enjoy while you wait/get your hair done.

I have been going to Sam at Fringe for the past few years. I love going here... not only for a fabulous haircut, but the relaxing atmosphere. Their new building is beautiful!Sam is always up on the latest techniques for color and cuts. She makes the best decisions for face shape, skin tone… etc. She’s great! A salon that hates the idea of making money...My fiancee just told me about an unpleasant experience she had with the manager of this business while attempting to book her and the bride maids makeup for our wedding next year.This person must have missed the first class of Business 101 since she thinks its acceptable to talk over your customer who had follow up questions from a beauty consultant who although still in training could not answer basic questions I am certain is asked from every bride-to-be. To finally suggesting to my fiancee that she and her twelve brides maids looks elsewhere.Now that is customer service folks!!!! She will indeed be looking elsewhere.

Ive been getting my hair cut by Jen at The Fringe for about three years now, and refuse to go anywhere else. Shes always done an excellent job and has been very accommodating with my schedule. I recently moved two hours away, but still refuse to get my hair cut by anyone other than Jen.

I went for a full foil. I asked her to simply blend the top, because i let it grow out between sessions. what i got was a bunch of blonde on my crown. its horribly blended, it looks like someone took a paint brush straight to my hair. I tried to make an appointment to reschedule, they only had 10 am the next day, otherwise Id have to wait over a week! I work in the service industry, I dont get off until almost 5 am. I was so excited to try this place, the salon itself is beautiful. I am so disappointed in the quality of service and customer care.

It is not until you move that you realize how important a great hairstylist is!After living in Chicago for several years and then moving back to the area I was very happy to find Fringe Salon and Jen. After living in Dubuque for two years I have always been pleased with my hair after my visit there.After my first visit I knew I was going to come back. On subsequent visits, Jen knew just what I liked to have done and remembered details from our prior conversation. Building a relationship is key in pretty much every industry and I know Fringe Salon has done this with me.Recently, due to my lack of scheduling, I had a cut from Samantha. When I arrived Sami informed me that Jen had filled her in on the techniques she used with my hair and I received the same great service with her. I was beyond impressed and am sure you will be too!

I have been seeing Liz for my hair since the day I decided to cut off 14 inches!At that time she worked out of Platteville, but when she moved to Fringe in Dubuque I didnt think twice about following with her. She is absolutely amazing at what she does, and Ive never been as happier with my haircuts as I am with Liz. She is easy going and really listens to how you want your hair done. Some hairdressers get carried away with conversation and focus less on your haircut, and that is not the case with Liz. During conversing with her I can see moments when she pauses her sentence because she is making sure to do the best she can do while working on my hair. I have never appreciated my hairdresser so much before Liz. I can do nothing but recommend that everyone see Liz!

Just came from my 2nd time with Jennifer Gratz. WOW, WOW, WOW! I just recently moved to Dubuque from the Chicago area and was having a hard time finding a salon. The Fringe was the first salon that had a good web presence. Then on top of that there were bios listed for the stylists. Jennifer appealed to me immediately with enjoying trying different colors and styles. My first appointment went wonderful. She took in all the information my former stylist wanted me to pass on regarding my hair and then she took it from there. The color she gave me I have been trying to get for years! Every day when I do my hair I just smile at the cut and color! Jennifer is top notch all the way!

The new place is totally excellent, staff is friendly and do a great job.
