Genes towing is a really good

They came for my car after being dispatched via GM Roadside Assistance downtown in Detroit. The driver arrived (after midnight) within 15 minutes of the dispatch and he was able to find ME AND MY CAR without any navigation assistance from me (its all too common for some drivers to have to call multiple times, drive around searching for you, pass you by, etc)! The flatbed was clearly new, solid and in top-notch condition, with bright flashing lights & company lettering/identification all over the truck. And most importantly the driver was incredibly friendly and he knew exactly what needed to happen with me and my car. Im very thankful for Genes Towing!

Other than having to deal with a kid that parked in a tow away zone and got towed. Genes Towing and the night attendant on 6-10-17 were very professional and accommodating from the original phone call, telling us everything we needed to bring and made picking up the car as smooth as possible. We picked up the car and were back on the road quickly. Thank you Mr Overnight Attendant.

Didnt have anybody available until a couple hours.

Please save yourself time I was told 60 minute eta.. I called them after they where a half hour late and was told that they cancelled the call due to bad weather... there was a small thunderstorm.. however they didnt contact myself or my roadside company... so I had to wait on another company to come out... driver called me promptly from the other company and let me know he was on his way... i do road calls for a living and have worked along side tow companies for years and have never been impressed by genes... so please do yourself a favor and call somebody else

Issue I had was resolved they made it right. Staff is very cordial. Thanks again

Out of all tow companies in or around Detroit, this one pays the less. All others pay more! No wonder Employees arent appreciated. This is a disloyal company. Ive seen the evil they do! Managers taking invoice money then accusing the employee of stealing, Money... the root of all evil.

Wow, I dont even know where to begin with this review. This place commits insurance fraud probably on a daily basis. Our vehicle was stolen and ended up here. Once the police released the vehicle, I called to see what we needed to get the vehicle out. GP told me $250.00 cash, registration and proof of insurance. I told him it needed to be towed to an auto body shop and he said no problem. I gave him the information needed. I went to the auto body place to get our personal belongings out of the vehicle was told by the owner that they charged him $935.00. What in the world is going on??? Well the police waived my storage fees, but they decided that they needed to get them anyway. I called them and they said that the release didnt state that fees were waived. Hmmmm, then why was it $250 for me to go it, but $935 for my insurance....sounds fishy to me....

Terrible!!!! They have a contract with my insurance co. So when I got another flat, from another pothole they quoted us 45minutes to arrival . After an hour I called them, they said sorry bout dat, we had a problem here should be there in 20minutes that didnt happen either, FINALLY after an hour an d forty five minutes a truck FINALLY showed up and didnt even bother top apologize. Then he tried to back my front wheel drive car into the flat bed at about a 45 degree angle, revving my engine, redlining my trans, and scraping my front bumper on the ground and his truck as it rocked back and forth not to mention slamming on my newly replaced brakes! This company is unprofessional, inconsiderate and I would NEVER use or recommend these people to anyone? actually liked! I say steer clear of this company, no one needs the added headache in situations like this!

This place is robbery. They admittedly said they have some partners in law enforcement.Be ready to provide them your license and registration (likely in your car). They won’t let you go get it, even if you have your keys can unlock the car from that sh$thole Office. Nope! You have to wait for a special dude to escort you out. No, you can’t go get it even though the gate is open. No, you have to wait an hour to go get it even though you have my info and license. Place is a scam and a joke.Cash only and obviously atm there with atm fees. The lady there is miserable and does everything she can to make your life as bad, but don’t worry it’s not. Company as a whole is almost as bad as this lady’s attitude and view on life. Come out of the dark lady.It’s been months, but it’s incredible how frustrating this was. I still think this company is a joke and it’s petty theft from hard working people.

$400 for an hour and only accepted cash. Needed my car moved 30 feet after a minor accident. Driver makes up the amount after they assess how much of a spot you are in (phone had died). I would not use them again.

Rude. Unprofessional. My father was in a serious car accident that left him in critical condition. The police impounded the car to this place. You have to sign paperwork to get the car that says you inspected the car and release them from incident. I didnt get to see the car. When I asked to see the car they said it would take and hour to get the car from the police evidence garage. This was after being told the car would arrive to my locatiom in sn hour. What a joke. I paid them to tow the car and asked that they call when in route they never called. Just dropped the car off with strangers. This place is a freaking joke. They hide behind that glass for a reason. Then whats even funnier, they only take cash. Even told the insurance company they only took cash. So, $375 is what I had to pay this place. I had to wait between text messages to be serviced. Avoid them with all cost. The window signs are an indication of the type of people that you will deal with. No expired paperwork excepted!

I called to get my car out the impound after being in an accident the tow truck driver met me at the place and after me getting lost he even waited for me to arrive (which was at least an hour) remained Professional the whole time and treated me with a great deal of Respect.

I broke down on 75 on my way home from work and they were the third tow company I called. Genes son was there in 5 minuites flat loading up my car. Very courteous and fast. They took my car to a shop in the morning while I was at work to get fixed had it back in a few days. THESE GUYS ARE AWSOME AND VERY FRIENDLY!!!!!!

I came out as they were towing me itll cost you $215 cash here or $230 at the yard he put the chains on as I walked up trying to stop him. Said he ruins peoples day for fun and this brings him enjoyment. In the words of chapels show I hate Gene, I hate Genes son and I hope all the bad things happen to Genes towing and I hate their guts. I hope gene dies a slow, painful, painful death

I got in a accident and my car was impounded here and I paid 200 to get my stuff out my car and the main things I paid that money for they stole . And then when I called they basically said it’s nothing they can do about it.i know it was them because my car went straight there.jusy disrespectful. I couldve just abandoned the car for 75

I have a commercial business with this business sign on wall they never show up and when I called they are very disrespectful and told me I can take signs down I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy

Got robbed and when my vehicle was found it was towed here. When i called and asked about it whoever answered the phone had a horrible attitude. The DPD told me its free of charge to get my vehicle. They were making it extremly difficult to get things out my car and charged me to take pictures of it. Terrible service.

Extremely disrespectful to their clients. Some staff members have the habit to lose paperwork and over worked to the point where they make mistakes on the paperwork. Owner was very irate and cursed at me as I was explaining why I believed my stolen vehicle was their.Disrespectful, overworked, and unprofessional conduct.
