Hertz rent a car they happy to take your money but they surely dont give you the service if they should I dealt with hurts through State Farm Insurance company state farm cancel or denied payment hurts did not call me and let me know nor they hits they guard who were not taught him as they far were talking about hers hurts let people know whats going on I dont mind paying for what I got but I didnt have to pay for did longer that did have a blessed day hurts Mr. Steele

I initially made my reservation so that I could pick up from the Eastpointe location on Nov 9.This is the location that is closest to my moms house so it would be convenient to pickup/drop off. Someone from Hertz called on Dec 10th to inform me that I could not pick up the car from the Eastpointe location and that it would have to be the Grosse Pointe location (much further from my moms house).Fast forward to to Dec 30th. I arrive at the Grosse Pointe Store. The women working asked if I had called before and when I had made the reservation. I told them over a month ago. They informed me (while explaining to one another) that they had not been checking the Eastpointe system and that they did not have the car I reserved, an SUV (Q4). They did not know when they would get a vehicle in that specific range and called around to other locations. This took some time. Eventually, they found a store, in Centerline, much closer to my moms house. So then they processed my order and I had to have my mom drive me from Grosse Pointe to Centerline to get the car for a measly $20 off the initial price.Once I got to the Centerline location I had to wait an additional 20+ mins because the car had JUST gotten dropped off! This experience has really given me a bad feeling about renting with hertz in the future.

I arrived at the location to pick up my rental and the lady who works the desk was so rude to the customer in front of me I left...I recommend using a different rental company, or at least a different location..

I arrived at Detroit international airport and I had made my reservation for Grosse Point, I had a ride from the airport to Grosse Point where I was supposed to pick my car up, but they told me I needed a $200 deposit on a credit card, I just had gotten back from Lima Peru and my only credit card available to have over $200 on it was in Kentucky, but I had the numbers for it, so I told them I could provide them the numbers or if they could lower the deposit to $100 I had enough on another card to do that, they said no it was mandatory and they were NOT going to be able to help me. The customer service at Grosse Point was terrible, Detroit international was better, but still no help.I transferred $300 from my debit card to my credit card to pay down my credit card so I could make the deposit, but I had to wait 24 hours my credit card company said, in the meantime my reservation was still good I was told and I would be able to use it the next day, they could push it forward one day no problem.Fast forward, an Indian guy canceled my reservation thinking he could get me a better deal for $44, not looking at my reservation properly he thought I was returning the car to Detroit, when clearly I was returning it to London, Kentucky!!! If he could have just read my original booking he wouldve known instead of just canceling my reservation WITHOUT my permission... after that I went to Hertz rental car at Detroit international to find out about my rental car, after talking to Hertz on the phone about 3 hours today before I went there, I got there and they said that my reservation was canceled ( as mentioned above ) and they can not reinstate it, they wanted to rent me a car for $182, and another for $170 was their cheapest... I said look I rented in weeks in advanced and I did not cancel it, it was YOUR people that canceled it, not me! YOU are the people that canceled it you need to take responsibility for YOU canceling my reservation... because this Indian guy who did not speak proper English decided it was a good idea to cancel it because he could get me a better deal, but instead of being a proper customer service agent he went ahead and made a new reservation without fully understanding what was going on.So now they will not reinstate the one that this Indian guy canceled and now I have no way of getting a car, my rate was $65.97 and they want to charge me $170... that is over $100 more than what I should be charged.On top of that, after I left the office, getting there took about 10 mins on a bus and about 10 mins waiting for the bus, and 10 minutes back ( another 30 minutes wasted on Hertz before even wasting another 30 minutes there ) after getting off the bus at Detroit international, I waited on hold for 30 minutes, after that I got really upset I decided to hang up and call back, I called back and talked to this guy explained the situation for the 20th time today and he said hold on, he put me on hold and then put me over to the main menu it was like press 1 for reservations.. press 2 for... what the hell?!?!?! I asked to be transferred to his boss or someone that can help me... so now I am stuck here in Detroit almost 14 hours stranded at the airport with no help, no way to get out, and my only rental car was canceled by some Indian guy who didnt understand what was going on. I cant believe this nightmare, this company is a joke.No other company would ever do this, if Enterprise was to make the same mistake, they would fix it and might even give me a bigger discount for the hassle, all and all I have spent about 5 hours talking to Hertz today and I assume Ill have another 5 hours tomorrow before I get this resolved, This is a joke and I will NEVER rent from hertz again.

If you want a car that reeks of chain-smoking geriatric and a card that is charged excessively then come right here and rent a car!Every car I have had the ignominy of renting has smelled like a cheap tobacco farm set ablaze by a mob of pyromaniacs which is sad because I have been pretty satisfied with the cars themselves save for the nicotine-imbued interior (if your car reeks of cigs, dont open the trunk ... you might get lung cancer or emphysema just doing that ... just sayin.)And I am not just speaking from one isolated experience of my own. My sister had to rent a car from them in the past and though she quite emphatically and repeatedly declined insurance, they still charged her card for it and it figuratively took FOREVER (in the form of innumerable calls and call backs and navigating the impenetrable Amazon of customer service prompts) to get amended.Also, if youre going to try to call them. Good luck. They have one line and if you call when its in use, youll get that old school busy signal that is singular to the wonders of a landline sans voicemail.Summary: if you have money to burn in the form of excessive overcharges and you have TOP SHELF health insurance that covers new lungs and tracheas ... rent a car from these guys.If you want to rent a car, only pay what you agreed to pay, and still be able to breathe independently with your original parts, go somewhere else. Enterprise isnt far down the street and my family has used them in the past and they are pretty legit.
