The people we rented from were amazing and they went above and beyond for us the entire time. The house was also wonderful. However, we will never go back due to the pool situation and the staff that manage the complex. They make it absolutely miserable for anyone swimming. They change the rules daily also. One day my kids were swimming with flotation devices because they couldn’t touch, the next day they are getting yelled at to get them out of pool. If you even take a sip of water in the pool, they freak out and tell you to put the drink 4 feet from the pool. No music, no throwing balls, no flotation devices and so much more. The parking is also a major issue. They say three cars, but they don’t provide enough parking for three cars. So most people have to squeeze behind other cars in their driveway, and then they will come yell at you about that also, even though you have no other options. We felt bad posting this because the owners are amazing and the house was great, but the staff that monitor the complex are absolute nightmares and made it miserable.

The house we stayed at was absolutely beautiful and very well kept and clean upon arrival. The pool experience was horrible. There was an older woman HIDING in the bushes watching us at the pool. She was very rude to us when we were just sitting on the edge of the pool. I normally do not leave reviews but this was such an awful experience. Its a shame this woman works here because she is potentially hurting business for renters in this community. We have heard from others guests that the pool experience was horrible. Very rude attendants.

The staff are absolutely terrible. They kicked everyone out of the pool in a very rude manner because there was lightning, even though there wasn’t a single cloud to be seen. They told us to come back in 30 minutes and when no one came 40 minutes later I called for someone to open it back up, and when the staff was rude I asked for their manager and they told me I didn’t need them. I asked multiple times and the staff refused to even give me a name or any assistance. The actual houses are decent but you can tell they don’t clean them properly before you check in. This place isn’t really worth it unless they fix their horrible staff and change their crazy charging system.

The parking is absolutely terrible. If you have only 2 vehicles you are fine. 3 or more you have to take a gamble in parking in the overflow. You have to either shuttle or take your own vehicle to the beach. There is a ton of fees and way too many rules just to stay a couple of days. It was just not a good experience whatsoever. You will get towed if you have more than 2-3 vehicles.

Sooo here there is no parking.... these people have a 2 car max but the security guard says there is 3 cars in the spot... we were able to fit 4 cars in the space and the security guard said it would get towed we had to drive to an apartment complex to park the vehicle.. the place was NASTY when we checked in. The person who booked us told us we could have 4 cars but the other folks said our car would be towed and we all are from 4 different states which was initially made aware and they said it was fine. I do have pics of this filthy place!!!

Beautiful house, horrible location.The parking is ridiculous, we had 5 vehicles with us because we had a 20+ house. Only 2 cars fit in the drive way and we had to basically fight for parking spots by the swimming pool or leaving the community area and park at random places.Although having security is a nice feeling, these security patrolers take it VERY serious. Anything you do is against the rules and at times it feels like if you breath, you can get in trouble.All they do is patrol the neighborhood telling people to quiet down or “we’re going to tow you” if you have more than two cars trying to fit on the drive way.They always patrol the swimming pool and make it uncomfortable to do anything, even swim.We’ve been coming to Destin Florida for 7 years and we usually stay in a penthouse but we added two additional families so we decided on a beach house and let’s just say, we will never stay in this community again. It’s pretty far from the beach as well and there’s even worse parking over there.This was a big let down for the amount of money spent.

Awful conditions. Roaches, water damage, mold, torn up floor boards, disgusting stains, and a management company that is totally indifferent to these problems.

I would give this place a zero-star rating if I could. The receptionists are EXTREMELY rude, especially Felicia. We showed up at our rental to find them attempting to fix the A/C, which they were unable to do, so they brought us fans to sleep with for our first night (yes, it was as inconvenient and uncomfortable as it sounds). The house was filthy — makeup was on the bedding, the floor still had sand all over it, and the shower had hairs and dirt all over the floor of it. We wanted to get out of the hot house for a few hours that evening so we went to the pool… and unsurprisingly, the pool staff were just as rude as the receptionist. Then we were woken up in the middle of the night to find out that someone was going around towing any vehicles that were slightly over the curb of the driveway. We are here for two more nights - mainly because we’ve already paid for it - but we will NEVER stay here again and we are going to share on experience with whomever we can so that we can save them the trouble and money!

Don’t stay here! The housing is nice in all but the workers that patrol the pool (aka the old lady that drives the white Chevy Cruze) thinks she’s Paul Blart mall cop. She’s relentless. I felt very unwelcomed with her around. Many other people at the pool said the same thing. She will also patrol the neighborhood at night and if your car is slightly over the curb she will tow you. I was watching our street looking out for her next victims and would quickly tell them that she was crazy before they got their cars towed. We are on vacation but I feel like I’m at a concentration camp! Hopefully the HOA quickly realizes this cause wow!

A very nice vacation resort, but one that I would never return to.The security guy does not have the ability to work with different types of families. Personally, my family was listening to music and it was loud.m, I know. I guess this security guy should have addressed us with respect, since we are respectful and calm staff and tell us please can you turn down the music that it is late and it is not allowed on this resort. But this security persone decided to wait for a policeman, Im sure he doesnt even mind going to waste his time in nonsense, to go yell at us and be disrespect with us. The security does not know how to use the words please or thank you. Very sad that you work with such disrespectful people.On the other side The guy who works in the pool area was very kind and helpful to us and we are very grateful to him.

Our house was nice but I would NEVER STAY here again. They have these pool NATIZS that over see the pool. You can not do anything at the pool. Cant have a pool ball, floatation devices, they even got on a kids for jumping in. You cant move chairs around to be close with family. The pool natizs really love their job because it gives them a little power over people and they show it. We had 6 adults and 2 grandchildren and just not a place for our family with all the strict rules for this big pool.

Not family oriented. More like a party atmosphere. They let thugs rent there. Thugs cuss loudly all day and night as they strut around with their pants sagging. The items on the inventory were not all there. The mattress had blood on it. There were stains on the couches. Long black hairs in the shower. The grill and toaster didn’t work and were not clean. On the last day of stay you have to count every item. You have to do your own laundry and dishes and make sure everything is put up before you leave. It will take the entire last day. I would suggest making a video as you enter and go through the entire house. Checkout at 9am. Penalty is $75 per hour after that. You don’t get your $1000 deposit if they decide you shouldn’t. Rules are extremely strict. It feels like you are set up for failure when you see the white furniture and figure out items are already missing when you arrive. Inventory is not accurate. The book said 3 stools and there were 4! Many items listed were more than they ammoubtvthst was actually there. The walls are super thin so it sounds like buffalo are above you. It’s a very beautiful house put 5 levels gets old quick with all those stairs.

We love this place,coming back for our fifth year. We get to stay in a house not a hotel or condo so it really feels like our own house. The management enforces the property rules so you always feel comfortable.15 minute walk to the beach which is awesome. Lots of convenient shopping a couple blocks away but when your on the property it feels like your miles away.

This place is amazing! A truly perfect spot to vacation -- it was so close to beautiful beaches, awesome shopping, and fun nightlife, The gated community and unbelievable pool were just icing on the cake. Im definitely going back!!

This is a a good place to bring your family. Understand that each house is managed by a different company and how its managed will make the difference. The community is safe and there are rules in place which make it a desirable place for families. I have been coming to this place for the last 7 years. Like most places in Destin the time of year you chose to come makes a difference. People complain about the pool staff, however they do a great job of trying to keep the place what it should be, a fun family place to be. If you are a spring breaker looking to part and have a good time know that there are rules in place which will limit your experience. This is not a place necessarily to come and be wild while on spring break. The management is serious about providing a good, fun safe family experience. This is greatly appreciated!

We have been going there for four years. I highly recommend the Villages of Crystal Beach. It’s only a half mile from the beautiful beaches, close to shopping and restaurants, not to mention the beautiful pool area. We love it there. We rent from Destin Comforts and they are great to work with!!!

We love this place. Everyone is so friendly! My kids especially loved the pool and being close to the beach. We stayed in “Big Tuna” and will definitely be back.

The house we rented accommodated our group well. The parking was difficult for more than 2 vehicles. There was additional giest parking we did not find until the end of our weekend. The beach shuttle was a huge bonus!! Overall a great experience!

Wonderful and cozy house! Walking distance to the beach and the regular things you might need in life. I cant recommend this house and experience any more. Ill stay here when I come back, thats for sure!

The rental house was great and the pool was awesome, everything was but you built a house that sleeps 20 people but you can barely fit 2 cars in the drive ways. Then you havea security guard come around beating on peoples doors at 11:30 at night threatening to tow your cars because you need to park across the end of the drive way if you have more than 2 cars. What do you expect 20 people or a large family to drive to the beach? The staff and the security guard were very rude. We Will not be returning to this place due to the poor parking accommodations and the rude staff.

House was lovely, just know you will need to bring in EVERYTHING you need (apart from bath towels and bedsheets, pots and pans) We had to go buy salt and pepper shakers, coffee and coffee filters, beach towels, etc.

Loved this little neighborhood, super clean and close to everything you need including a wonderful beach access

It’s a great place to say for the family. Close to everything and the management appears to be keeping things going in the right direction.

Destin,Florida is one of the most beautifully pleasant places Ive ever been.The people,beach and food were the best. Cant wait to visit again and purchase some property

This gated community is great. So close to beach and you have these wrist bands you must wear to the pool and to the beach if you want to enter the beach where we can go that is not public or you can go in at any public entrance. Your choice The pool is a walk in pool and is great People who are complaining about not enough parking for everyone within the home they rented when only two cars can park there and no parking in the streets, that’s why there is a large parking lot within the gated area Easy flat walking to any home within not a problem. Rules are rules for a reason. If you get mad for a security guard doing his job and keeping outsiders out so it does not get over crowded for the ones paying then don’t stay here because if you can’t remember you little band like the rules state then don’t get mad at security for doing their job to help you. Get mad at yourself for forgetting it and walk your short walk back and get it then you won’t forget it again. How is people saying they refuse to come back because of pool rules is odd to me No kiddy pool but a kiddy end where it is a walk in pool and just keeps getting deeper. No balls and no floats for over 12 years because all the adults don’t want balls being thrown everywhere It is a resort type pool so the rules are clear before you rent in the first place. Gorgeous pool with several waterfalls in it Go and enjoy. The negative I believe is people who don’t like rules and don’t see how it helps their stay there. Go enjoy folks stay positive you will enjoy

We have been here since November and it’s an awesome neighborhood! It’s right across Destin Commons with tons of shopping and eating options. So many great places to walk to. Very safe neighborhood, right by the beach and pool area is beautiful! Staff are awesome. They do a great job at mantaining the surrounding areas very clean. Don’t agree with the previous comment on staff being rude. They have been very helpful. Our family has loved staying here! And will definitely come back year after year. You can beat Destin on location!!!

The pool is NOT heated. Its freezing cold and half the reason we picked this place was to swim. I called the online contact and they told me they couldnt do anything about it. Shaaaaaaaame. Saad.

We miss the helpful security officer Corey. Always felt safer with him walking the property at nights.

It would be nice except the rules for the very large nice pool are ridiculous. You cant have balls in the pool (including beach balls which is fairly normal for pools), no one over 12 can have a floaty in the pool (or if a child looks like they are using an adult floaty they are told to remove it), and the staff is just beyond rude. They holler these rules at the children like they are in a boot camp. And God forbid you forget to wear your armband to the pool. You get threatened with go get it or we are going to call the police. The staff does not try to provide friendly service at all. The staff walks through like they are drill sergeants and dont care if they are upsetting the clientele at all. Would not recommend it just because of the ridiculous rules and the staffs attitudes.

Beautiful pool, walking distance to the beach, gated community, accommodations are great and can hold large groups.

It was relatively nice, but the floors were not clean and we had people calling a tow truck company the first day because they didnt tell us we couldnt bring a trailer, so we spent an extra $100 for a Lot elsewhere. The driver to the beach was very impatient and so was everyone else on move out day, yelling at everyone and telling them to move. Also we were at the pool and it closes at 10p, we had 10 minutes left and a lady came through shining a flashlight at us telling us to get out and get a move along. There also wasnt enough towels for the house and there was no laundry detergent to wash he few we had. The loft pull out also was not long enough to sleep on and was very uncomfotable. There was a pull out in the master downstairs that was somewhat comfotable. Our propane tank was also empty and we had to wait to cook dinner for 3 hours and ended up buying the propane ourselves. They also said that we could use Netflix but the internet to the tvs doesnt work so we couldnt. The pool was nice besides the lady and the place was big. It has entertainment such as an xbox and board games. There are a few repairs that they are dragging their feet on though. Overall we had fun but the Village wasnt as nice and kind as we hoped.
