I was very skeptical when I walked in because I’m not from this area and I’m very picky. Previously I saw someone’s nails and I really liked them. She told me they were done at LV Nails and to ask for D or V. They both were busy. Michelle greeted me and since others were busy and wouldn’t be able to get me in into the next day, I let her do them. I don’t regret it one bit. She was very professional and took her time with me. I’ll definitely be back!

There is no place better or cleaner in this town! I have been going to see Van for years now! They are fun and really good at what they do! Before I came here I got an infection in my thumb nail due to dirty equipment! That has never happened there! Prices are awesome and I promise if you get your nails done often they will never forget who you are! Plus they make everyone wear mask which for me is smart and safe! Mad Love for LV Nails!!!!

I usually go in to have a manicure/fill but, on Sunday my mom treated me to a pedicure. I requested Dee because she has always done an amazing job in the past on my pedicures. O.m.g... Dee touched my soul with that foot and leg rub. I really needed that and Im so happy that I got her that day

I am really upset to write this review but I would like others to be aware. Saturday June 19, 2021 I had an appointment to get a French tip gel manicure. The nails looked great and the nail tech Bear was very nice. Fast forward to Monday following my manicure my nails started to peel, chip and lift up on the sides. No big deal, I called and asked politely if they could fix them as it has been 2-3 days since my manicure and I was under the impression gel lasted 2-3 weeks. I went back Tuesday June 22nd and Dee removed the messed up gel and Van the owner redid them. I was very thankful they took me back in to fix the gel. However when I got into my car to leave I looked at my nails and they were horrible. They were clumpy and messy. I called back today to speak to the owner Van to request a refund so I can get the gel taken off and redone at a different shop. Van explained to me they do not issue refunds, no one has complained like me in 15 years, she missed out on $40 for fixing my nails, and she has regulars that come so it doesn’t matter if I write a review. Keep in mind I was politely asking for help and a refund so I do not have to spend another $40 somewhere else totaling $80 for a French tip gel manicure. I am very upset with how I was treated and spoke to. I even offered they can take the gel off if I can get a refund to get then done somewhere else, but that was still a no. I want to share my experience to save someone else from having this happen.

Even though it is preferred to make an appointment I was a walk in. They got me in really fast. The technician listened to what I wanted done with my nails which was lovely. And the end result looks great!

I have been a customer with LV Nails since they opened. I love the customer service and the energy in the shop when I get my nails done.

Michelle is the best. Recommend her or this place in general, their all great and do great work.

This is my second time coming to LV nails. Not only are they local so it’s convenient for me but they are great at what they do. I love coming here all of the staff is very friendly and professional. Michelle and D are a couple of the nail technicians that have service me while I’ve been there and they are both wonderful. Very keen to detail and there to make you feel beautiful. I will continue to come back to the salon. This time Michelle did my nails and she was great. Most of the girls there have 5+ years of experience and it shows!

2 days after I had my nails done for the next weekend for a wedding one of my nails starting coming off & had to super glue it back on. Then the nail polish chipped on the same finger had to go & try to find the same color of nail polish which was really hard. Was not happy at all. I couldnt go back because Im in the northeast part of the state. They are getting a phone call on Tuesday when I get back home.

Went in today for my second time there and had a great experience. First pedicure and first time getting shellac on my own nails and they pampered me for 2 hours for such a great price and everything looks great. They went above and beyond to accommodate to my needs and wants for my nails. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be using their services consistently in the future. Highly recommend!

At Elks LOUNGE at DONNA MAE JACKSON REPASS DINNER

This place was amazing. The ENTIRE staff was so friendly. My nail tech held conversation with me the entire time & the whole place laughed and gave us recommendations on where we could eat based off what we wanted. The place was very clean and they did a great job on my toes and eyebrows. The staff also gave me a recommendation that was a little closer the home because we drove 2 hours (for the airport). If I’m ever in the area again this will be the first and only place I call. Thanks again LV nails.

Omg!! My nails look AMAZING and feel amazing. And I was done so fast!!! I got tips and shellac and my nails feel so thin! Everyone seemed really happy to be there and the place was really busy and I was still in and out with no appointment in less time than it takes the other place and my nails feel 100x better. Thank you! So happy I randomly stopped by. Even though you are way farther from my house I might just drive all the way back my nails feel that good.

I started coming to get my nails done here last spring. I cant say Id go anywhere else! The ladies here are so nice and always do such a good job. They get super busy so Id recommend an appointment but they always take or make room for walk ins!

I love these ladies! Excellent work! My feet always feel like a babys bottom when i leave. I receive compliments on my Shellac nails all the time. Even my husband goes on a regular basis.

My daughter went in for pedicures. We made appointments and they got us in right away. They were so nice and friendly. Place was very clean. Did a wonderful job for both of us. Great experience. Would highly recommend and we will be back!!

Ive never really had an issue with the way my nails turned out here but this time Im very disappointed. Ive only had them done for 6 days and they look like they need filled really bad already as if Ive had them done for 2-3 weeks already? Before I even left they needed to be fixed but I was already there for 2 hrs. My appt was a 2 and I didnt leave until 4:30 because I had a second person with me but the same girl had to do both of our sets for some reason.

Called ahead for a walk in as I just arrived in town. I was looking through the reviews as I wasnt from the state and had no reference to go off of. Got right in upon arrival. Got a manicure with ombre gel colors. They did a fabulous job. The cost of the service was way less than my salons back home but reasonable.

I’m from out of town and wish I traveled here more frequently to come back. I had acrylics removed and gel put on and Dee did an amazing job. Would come back if I could. Recommend calling for an appointment.

Got my nails done yesterday, guy had to fix his mistakes twice before I left. Noticed there was a big bubble underneath my fingernail polish that ended up chipping off a big chunk of my painted nail less than 2 hours after getting them done... On my right thumb this morning I barley scraped it against my wrist and more paint comes off that nail as well. All 10 of my nails dont fit the rest of my real ones, different lengths, all different shaped, uneven. And a big mess in general.... would not reccomend.

LV Nails is the best nail shop in DSM!! They are always friendly, very thorough with pedicures (even with nasty, dry, calluses feet like mine), manicures, and waxing. Their prices are very reasonable and well worth any wait, if at all. Dee, Van, and Michelle are my favorites. I highly recommend this nail salon!!!

Horrible experience. I just got my nails done two days ago and they look grown out because the cuticle wasn’t pushed back, the lady I had was rushing so bad to get out of there instead of doing the service I was paying for right. The shellac that is on my nails is painted on terribly and already pealing off. I’m very frustrated with this place because I got my nails done for my engagement pictures and I wanted them to look good. I guess I will not be going back.

Loved the service I got. Loved the nails afterwards. Sometimes its one price, and another time its a different price. Dont understand that, unless it has to do with the experience of the person doing my nails, when I was getting the same thing done each time.

I’ve tried this nail salon twice and was unimpressed both times. I got an acrylic set and my nails were unevenly cut, too thick, lopsided, and my paint had bubbles in it.The staff is friendly but I had made an appointment each time and it seemed as if they were rushing to get it over with.

I’m not the type of person to say something when I am unhappy so this is my fault but I left so upset I ripped off my nails and wasted my money. I built up the courage to call and get them redone they were fine on the phone but once I went in two employees hanged up in me and saying they looked good and why did you do that so they ended up taking my money not doing my nails.

My wife gets her nails done here on a regular basis and she loves it.I come to LV to get a pedicure once a month. Best shop in town and the staff is great.

Pretty good. I wish they did a better job on my pedicure though. I usually go there for my nails and the do a great job but for some reason they always mess up my pedicure or dont get the rough parts good. 😞

Great people, however, they weren’t using sterile equipment for either the manicure or pedicure. I got an overlay done on my nails, and while the length is great, the polish isn’t all the way to the nail bed and my cuticles were never touched. I also never got a hand massage. Day 2, my right thumb nail chipped and I had to cut it off.

Michelle is a delightful person and I am very happy with her expertise and explaining the process and answering my questions.. I am very pleased with my new nails... 😁😁😁

They were so polite and funny. I really enjoyed going there. They didnt throw on additional charges like other places, they would ask you and make sure you were sure about what you wanted. My friend decided on a pink color for her acrylics but then changed her mind while the color was already on. They took it off and let her choose another color free of charge. Outstanding place!

Friendly service and great prices

When my wife got done with her nails she was already irritated. As she came out and got into the vehicle I asked her if she wanted me to go say anything and she said no. They started her then started helping other people and made her wait as another employee finished with someone else. She stated to me that she had been sitting there for a while and that they started helping people after her and those people got done before her. It took an hour and a half to do a set of nails (no take offs) they were suppose to be round but ended up square. After we got home and I started to look at them it looks as if she needs to go back for a fill already. The lengths of the nails are all different lengths and they dont even look like they are straight with her fingers. After spending $90 dollars there for 2 pedicures and a set of nails you think they would have done a better job than that. This is one place I will not go back to. VERY UNSATISFIED.

Bad. she messed my lash extensions up then I tell her 3 days in a row that I work at 3pm can we do earlier she says she can’t do til after 3 so I pop up & she’s jus eating & talking watching TV with NO clients. pretends she massaging someone’s HANDS & ignoring me. I’m an upcoming cosmetologist & half her clients have already came to me at my shop for lash extensions if I could do my own I would but her Glues clumpy & not good work at all! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone for lash extensions.

New to Des Moines and found the place to go right off the bat! The place is nice, clean, and lots of selection. Needed a pedi for a wedding and the gals made sure to get really close to the picture I took in. They are all friendly and have a sense of humor.

I just love pamper myself every so often. I have discovered a nails salon where I enjoy going to have my pedi and mani done. LV Nails is one of the best place to go. They have three sisters that are working there (Van, Michelle, and D) and of course their other employees. Michelle is one of the best that I found and liked to have my pedi and mani done with. Their price is reasonable. Friendly and fun atmosphere. Next time you need to pampered yourself, call LV Nails and ask for Michelle. :)
