I got nails done on Wednesday. The gel on top of the Arctic is coming off and I called and got hung up on twice. The techs are rude. The acrylic nails were filed poorly and there are sharp and jagged corners.**update** went back yesterday and got them fixed but washed my hands with warm water and soap when I got home and the same thing happened again.

This is by far my favorite go to nail and pedicure place in Des Moines. They are all very friendly, professional and take great care of their clients. Whether by appointment or walk in they treat you right. I definitely recommend.

WOW, recently moved to Des Moines; due to moving out of a neighborhood Id lived in for 25 years and COVID-19, I was in need of a salon for a pedicure. My second consecutive visit and I couldn’t be happier. I wish I got my nail tech’s name but she was so gentle on my pedicure and wonderful with my manicure. I highly recommend Des Moines Nails!

I was visiting the area and decided to treat myself to a mani pedi. I came home and found I also got a nail fungus. I remember the clippers not being opened in front of me so I suppose that may have been the culprit. The wrapping looked a little worn when she brought them over. Prices wer good and staff was pleasant but they need to be a bit more diligent in their work to avoid fungus issues.

One of the worst pedicures I’ve had, and I have had a lot! It was rushed, the technician cut me twice, the massage was weak, and I left with a ton of dead skin still on my feet- even after I pointed it out! Definitely won’t be back.

The staff was nice and the shop looked clean but the quality of service- AWFUL sad to say. My shellac manicure started peeling and cracking just about a week after getting them done. I went here because my usual place changed their hours and was closed on the day I needed my nails done. I was hoping to like this one because it’s closer to my house but I’ll be making the trip and planning my schedule to make it to my reg nail salon-where my shellac lasts up to a month.

Waited to be helped for over 5 minutes and then was yelled at because they were too busy and couldn’t fit me in, even though most of the salon was empty. Will not be coming back.

I’ve been getting manicures and pedicures here for years! The staff are friendly and I’ve always found their work on my nails to be beautiful. My MIL and stepdaughter also come here and have nothing but positive experiences as well

During the pandemic, they have gone the extra mile to make sure public health guidelines are followed. Masks 😷 required (if you forget yours they will provide one instead of turning you away), temperature checks, seperate dirty/clean bins for pens, personal protective liner for pedicure tubs, mobile individual plexiglass dividers and soo much more...As for the quality of service... they are always very friendly and welcoming. They have a huge selection of polish and the owner spared no expense on the type of product for pedicures. Oh and the leg messages are absolutely amazing!! This time I got a fill (acrylic nails) and showed them a picture I found on pintrest. She sought out the exact colors and nailed it (pun intended). I was completely amazed and couldnt have been happier with the outcome!I highly recommend Des Moines nail

The lady I worked with was very sweet, even when I started talking to another patron with my hands... Lol! She reigned me in so that her high quality work would not be affected. I like short and unobtrusive nails, and she respected my choice without pushing me to do more. I am lady luck red with a small white heart on each ring finger.

Always a relaxing experience. Very professional and detailed oriented. Am disabled and use a cane. They always remove my socks and shoes and put them back on. Super friendly. I like the one lady I see each month. Been seeing her for years now. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

All the gals are very nice. I have my preference in Wei but they are almost always able to get you taken care of quickly and at a fair price. The hours are good and theyre open 7 days a week.

I went to this place on my birthday to get a luxury pedicure and I was out of there 10 minutes or less! She rushed the whole time, didnt let my feet soak long enough at all not even close to any salon I been to & couldnt use restroom because someone had locked the door inside out. I left with wet nail polish on my feet and a full bladder ...woah!

Dont go to this place. I used to come to this salon every two weeks to get my nails done. My finger nails got infected, they dont sanitize their tools. I went to the doctor cause it gotten really bad that the tip of my fingers were painful. I thought I got a nail fungus, after the lab results, the doctor told me I got a mold which is very uncommon. If I got infected, more likely you also got infected.

My Experience Was Perfect! 😉😉

I went in for an eyebrow wax. It was $8 plus a $1 fee for using my debit card. I was not leaving a tip for what I received. I could have done a better job myself and should have anyway. Looking at my bank statement, I noticed they charged me $14 total. Of course, I couldnt find my receipt and I knew there was no point in returning to their shop. Just beware when you hand them your debit card - they will tip themselves the amount they deem necessary. I guess that statement applies everywhere, but it is the first time for me and the LAST time I will ever go to their shop for service.

Ive been a client since I moved to Des Moines back in 2001 and have since moved to Seattle and I still drive down because of the great service, expertise and cleanliness of this salon! If they ever tell you theyre too busy to see you, its because they take appointments as well and theyre busy because theyre AWESOME!

Your $45 shellac mani should not chip same day. Laziest woman ever. One coat and no cuticle trim as well? I shouldnt have ever stopped there. I should have listened to my gut instinct when I saw the trashy decor. I made an immediate appointment with my normal salon to fix it

She rushed through the whole thing, I had to remind her to do one of my nails, she was rough, and my nails are uneven. She put the white tip on at half of my nail. Now my nails look short and ugly. Not going back.

First and last time going to this place lady there was in a hurry to leave, had white tip on my nails lines were not straight nails looked fake (thick) and ugly
