Great staff really clean and beautiful set up

Jo jo is very professional. She takes her times and treats me with respect. Very professional! Always goes above and beyond for her services. I absolutely love how they have the Buddha altar. I always leave an offering. Not that you have to. I respect the religion. So I choose to. I will continue to recommend glossy nails.

I’m really disappointed that I have to put this review up, I think the salon is clean and the girls who work there are friendly, the prices are high though and also in the middle of a mani/pedi that I was getting from a girl that I liked they pulled her to another client for a fill and gave me another girl who I don’t care for her work too much and I just feel like that’s really unprofessional. I won’t be back. You need to show clients respect if you want them to keep coming back.

Salon is clean and the staff are friendly. However, the gel manicure I got yesterday was very popr quality. Hard to explain but basically the color has washed or bleached out. My nails are beige with many pits and imperfections. Not cheap either $38. Wont be back.

Clean and friendly and they accommodated me and my wife during these trying times . Staff is very professional and made a memory for me and my wife in 2020 that was positive and up lifting .

Very nice place to get your nails done. Great atmosphere and very clean. They offer you water or wine while you have your nails done. Staff is friendly.

The cleanest spa/salon in derby. I was extremely pleased with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Mary was very nice and did a great job. Very relaxing atmosphere, the complimentary wine is a plus! I will be back.

The salon doesn’t use Essie or opi products. Although they are very clean and provide decent pedicures, there manicures if not gel are not worth the money. The salon smells like acrylic which takes away from the spa feel. Moreover there is a religious altar of some sort upon walking in that may be somewhat offensive to clients.

I always go here and they always do an amazing job. I got my nails done here for prom and they were gorgeous. I came here and asked if the guy doing my nails could do a design he said no and that another girl could do them for me. I said okay and then he started doing the design anyways. While doing my nails he said the design was difficult and yes, they are a little hard to do but if he couldn’t do it he could’ve had someone else do them and it wouldn’t be a problem. The lines are thick and smeared and overall just very messy. If he couldn’t do the design he shouldn’t have tried. Now i have ugly nails and need to go to another salon to get them fixed.

I went to Glossy Nails for the first time yesterday because my usual place was booked(Memorial Day weekend), and I forgot to make an appointment. I requested a gel manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was just ok, but not terrible. My nails are a whole different story. The woman who did them first did not paint my entire nail. She missed several spots, and it was a streaky mess. It looked like a 5 year old painted them. When I brought it to her attention she tried to fix it by painting again and again which only caused it to be very thick in some places. It looked terrible. I spoke up and the owner (Jo-Jo?) came over and said she would “fix it”. She said it was not the technicians fault but the fault of the nail color I chose. Ummm, ok. I get the same color elsewhere and never had issue. She filed part of the color off and proceeded to paint them again. This time it was even, however because she didn’t soak the first coat completely off, it is now very thick. Still not good. I wasted two hours time and $70 for this. Another customer whispered to me that if I did ever return, to only see John. So apparently there’s only 1 technician in this place with skills. Never again.

Everyone there was so kind and did a wonderful job on my pedicure! I would highly recommend!

WOW! The last time I had a mani/pedi this nice it was in the $200 range. Nina was very friendly (very soft spoken), and did an amazing job. She was very thorough with the massaging and scrubbing. My feet are so smooth and soft. I love that she got the nail polish all the way to the edge without actually touching skin.The place is clean and quiet. I was very happy to see one time use tools (files, etc.). The things that were not one time use were pulled out of a sanitizer. The foot soaking basin even had a plastic liner.I will definitely be going back.

Do NOT waste your money!The nail technicians were rude; barely even a hello. I did not see them bleach the footbath between clients and they butchered my cuticles! My fingers bled and were tender for days! I prayed I wouldnt leave there with an infection. Please spend your time and money on another nail salon...ANY other nail salon.
