Great gym with multiple rooms for working out, numerous climbing walls and well maintained. Everyone here was super friendly and supportive of each other and the experience is on par. Membership fees are high, but you gain access to multiple locations. The biggest downside to this location is the lack of any parking options or structure around. I was able to find parking a couple of blocks away and walk, but given the high membership fees, Id expect at least free and dedicated parking. Id still highly recommend this spot.

We had an amazing time. It was our first time rock climbing in a hot minute! Amazing facilities, friendly staff, and helpful climbers. Folks were sweet in giving us pointers and advice. Very non judgemental environment and wall challenges for all levels. Definitely would recommend for an amazing workout or just a fun day out!

Great bouldering facility! It caters well to all ages, offering some neat smaller top out boulders in the front and a large selection of walls in the back. Awesome workout facility closed off from the rest of the gym to keep chalk out. They have both a moon board tension board and adjustable back fill. Ample warm up space. And to top it off the route setting is top notch! They did an awesome job of diversifying the space and I enjoyed the comp style circuit that was set up. If I lived in Denver this would be my home gym for sure. On top of the great climbing they are attached to a brewery which is a great place to end a session or get some work done!

When we visit Denver, the place to climb is the Movement chain of gyms. I’ve climbed at all their locations and this is just as great as the rest. There’s a good quality product on the wall here and the staff is very friendly. The facility is clean and well kept. It is bouldering only but if you are a rope climber don’t worry, there are nice long traverse routes of all grades that are worth doing. Shorter top out boulders are fun and worth doing. There are good training facilities and cardio equipment. It’s the complete picture. Some reviewers complain of the non strict grades (they grade the boulders with a range, e.g. V0-V2), but so what? It’s just plastic on the wall so get used to it, get on the boulders and have a good time. All the boulders I did were well constructed and had a theme to them. There was a good vibe from climbers of many different levels (VB all the way to V-double digit) when I visited.

I really like this place in terms of bouldering gyms I think its got a little bit of everything which is great. Slab, long traverse walls, steep caves theyve got it all. One minor caution though because everything is graded in ranges and all the different ranges are matching colors (which is great for identifying what things youd be able to climb and what you cant) beginner climbers might FEEL like they arent able to climb a lot of different things though its more a feeling caused by the samey-ness of the color grading system.

UPDATE: This is now battle of the reservations! may the luck be ever in your favor! If you dont schedule 3 days ahead youre not climbing. Oh and THE MEMBERSHIP PRICES ARE STILL THE SAME - still no locker room, showers, or even drinking fountains plus there is still a ton of blood on the walls... Even with reduced capacity people will still climb on top of you - management still is not educating their members. I will be canceling my membership after they switched my emails containing all of this seemingly valuable information - as been said before this place is an absolute joke of a business. They have suspended ALL SERVICES except strictly climbing and are still charging the full rate for a membership! Are you kidding me? How shady do you have to be?? Oh you dont want to unfreeze your account give use money for a day pass, why would we give you a few days to decide right?? Movement has become a joke since joining ET, Ill be taking my business to DBC. They clearly care about their patrons.

This gym is such a wasted opportunity. Unlike the other Movement/Earth Treks gyms, this gym has grade ranges determined by color. The effect of this is that there can only be one climb graded between V4 and V6, for example, on a wall at a time. For every set theres one, MAYBE two new problems to work.If that wasnt bad enough, the gym wastes so much space with competition style climbing where theres only one climb in an area. Good, overhung terrain might have one climb on it literally for aesthetic reasons. All of this combines to make it so the gym has VERY few problems to work, despite being absolutely massive.A lot of my climbing friends echo these criticisms and we prefer to go to Baker because believe it or not theres probably more bouldering there than at this bouldering gym. These problems are totally solvable but right now this gym seems to value aesthetics more than providing the best climbing for members.

While I’ve never actually used this climbing gym, I feel it’s appropriate for me to leave a review for the customer service. I was on my way to my pole studio’s show and in search of a grip that would perform better than what I’ve been using since my grip aid has been no match for the heat we’ve had this July. On a whim, I stopped in hoping I would find something. I was greeted by two kind men working the desk and one was very well informed on the different kinds of hand chalk they carried. He explained which two he uses and recommended the Friction Lab Unicorn Dust. I bought it feeling confident that I had a quality product. I ran my whole routine for our show and didn’t sweat through my application of the Unicorn Dust! Huge huge thank you to the gentlemen who helped me (I wish I could remember his name!). Great customer service!

Pros:- Great gym overall, clean and spacious.- There is a good variety of routes that are changed up at a good pace.- The front desk staff has always been friendly and helpful.- There are two relatively large areas devoted to weights and gym equipment. The main room has most of the equipment and can get rather busy, but the second room (with much less equipment) is usually open. The second room is mainly used for group classes and CrossFit type of stuff.- Towel service is a nice little perk- They offer a variety of community nights, such as LGBT, Women, and Black History are a few Ive seen.- Having Improper City (Coffee and cocktails) next door is fantastic! However, improper needs to work on their Breakfast food offerings, evenings are great with food trucks out back. This is another area where Movement could offer a little perk for their members, maybe free (or discounted) coffee in the gym?Cons:- Price, they are raising rates on 3/1/19. The current cost is on the upper end of what I wanted to spend on a gym membership, with the increase I am questioning the overall value.- The locker room is a little small for the size of the facility.- Movement often runs classes for an additional charge. I can understand a super special, more personal training oriented package, but I would like to see more of the offerings free of charge (especially with the looming rate hike).- Although movement is a good option if you are looking for a climbing gym with other fitness options, it does come up a little short; they could use a greater variety of equipment, other class offerings (such as spin), and some of the other fringe benefits of other gyms, such as a sauna.

A great space! It’s very fresh and invites you to move around the whole area or you can feel like your accomplishing a lot in one spot. It’s all bouldering. It does have a weight gym and yoga room (which I’m excited to try!) I’m a novice climber and was able to find a variety of routes to climb. I like the grading system this gym is using (see scale when you go in) so it doesn’t feel like I am only climbing within 1 color grade.

A very good bouldering gym: a large space with plenty of problems of all different difficulties, plus a nice-looking gym with weights and machines (which I havent used since I have a gym in my apartment), classes, special programs and events and competitions. My one big complaint would be that I wish they didnt have the problem difficulty set as a range, such as V0-V2, V2-V4, etc. Its hard to know if a particular problem will be the right difficulty for you, as maybe it will be too easy, maybe too hard if youre in the middle of one of those ranges like I am.

Biggest bouldering gym I have ever been to, and I have seen a few.Great big open space, has problems you can top out on, circuits, slabs, overhangs, a cave, everything! And there are even two fitness rooms with free weights as well as cardio machines.Nice changing rooms with lockers (bring your own lock!), free towels if you want to hop in the shower.Another plus is that it is located in a really cool area with lots of nice bars and restaurants around.Only con: Parking can be hard to find in the evening, use public transport if you can.

Review №51

I think they set really interesting problems, but I think they should move away from a color being only within a range. I feel like I would get on a v2-4 yellow route that felt more like a v5-6, and then Id get on the v6-8 routes that feel like v4 routes. Maybe you can keep the range, but dont let the color dictate the range. Consistency in ratings help me gauge how realistically in shape I am for the outdoors. Overall its a nice gym.

Amazing boulder problems mixed with a social ladder of climbers who will stare at you your entire workout comparing and contrasting. Not a good place for a humble soul. Bet you finish a problem and there is a group of hipsters commenting. They should probably be focusing on their workouts. I mean if they want my number just ask. Not a fan of people watchers you can tell, mind your businesses. You will find people like to feel cool here, like that is even a thing anymore, they try.

The movement Rino gym has made bouldering such a fun activity for me, especially as I try to get into wedding shape. I don’t really like using weights at the gym so this is a great option for building muscle. The gym is always clean, they are frequently adding new routes so there’s always something to work on, and they have and actual workout area with treadmills and weights if you’re into that. The only downside is that everyone loves this place so it gets pretty crowded right after work from 5:30-7. Also, the parking is a little tricky because there’s no designated parking lot. But it’s sooo worth it!
