Horrible experience. I had to go to another barber. This is me after Vinny Gs cut my hair. Smfh. $20 and didnt get my moustache, chin, NOTHING. The elderly guy is terrible at cutting. I felt extremely bad and upset at the same time. NEVER AGAIN. On top of that its my fuccing birthday. I gotta pay for a haircut 2x now. Thanks a lot

Horrified and heart broken. I went in and showed Jason the picture on the right for reference and the photo on the left is what I left with. I am absolutely devastated. My hair is very long and I’ve been looking forward to getting this hair cut for so long. This is going to take YEARS to grow back. PLEASE do not go here for a cut from Jason. I have a hard time writing this because the owner was kind…but I don’t want anyone else to experience the horror I am going through right now. If he could not do this cut he should have said so before hand.

Vinny G is the man, as is his crew! Im very particular about who cuts my hair. Ive been seeing Vinny for a little over 6 years and havent had one bad cut! He takes appts, which keeps wait times low, as well as walk-ins! With the dreaded COVID happening they have taken all the necessary steps to keep you safe, yet still comfortable while in the chair! If your looking for a quality cut and an old school barbershop feel, look no further!

I am visiting Denver for the 1st time and I hate going to new barber shops but I was desperate because of my Vegas trip in 2 days. I found this place on Google and had good reviews so I was like why not... I came and they were awesome here. They offered drinks and donuts to all their guests while I was there and very attentive. Vinny the owner cut my hair and was so Clutch! He knew exactly how I wanted my hair and executed it flawlessly. I have never been this happy with a hair cut. I wish I can just pack him up and take him with me where ever I go!!! One of the best places have ever been to this far! Definitely recommend this place for a great cut...

Been here twice and they messed up my hair both times! I should note that I did not go to Vinny either time, as he had a longer wait.The first time I went to the barber in the first chair, which was a huge mistake. He did not do anything I didnt ask him to (which is a low bar, but props where they are due), however, what he did do was average work at best. Neck fade was very shoddy and he used a razor to clean up, which didnt even get half of the hairs on my neck. I mean, at that point, what is the purpose of even using the razor? I ended up going home and spent an hour fixing the cut of which I spent $15 plus tip.The second time, I knew better than to go to the first chair and waited 30 minutes for James. I made sure he knew exactly what I was looking for, he clarified, and yet he still cut both sides of my hair uneven. James even went so far as to push my hairline back with a razor even though i specifically said NO SHAPE UP.This shop is NOT for people with black or mixed hair. I clearly brush my hair down, and James was brushing it every which way while cutting which made the overall cut super uneven. I would never go here again, unless I were to get a cut from Vinny. At this point I wouldnt even trust him based on the level of talent from others in the shop. Ill look elsewhere for a shop that knows how to cut curly black hair.Edit: I can appreciate the owner reaching out to fix things, but walking out of a barber shop looking worse than you walked in TWO times with TWO different barbers is unacceptable. My friends straight-textured hair looks just fine from the same barber on the same day. Your barbers simply do not know how to cut curly, 3c textured hair, and they should learn if they want business from black customers.

Vinny G gives awesome haircuts! Both Vin and James are fun guys to talk to and you can even grab some water or soda while you wait. They take cash only, but its well worth it. $19 or a mens cut is amazing and they do great work here. Would highly recommend!

Ive been going to Vince since he opened his new shop in the University Hills neighborhood last year. I was very happy to find a traditional style barbershop since moving to Colorado and suffering through bad rushed haircuts from the local chain hair cutters. Vince does top notch work and takes his time to make sure his client is happy and the cut is perfect. Nice shop, great conversation and high quality work. Ive recommended three guys from my office and all have reported back that Vince and James do great work.

Took my kids to get their hair cut. Walked in with two boys and walked out with two men. Ok fine it wasnt that dramatic because theyre already adults...but these haircuts were amazing! Weve been there twice.I was impressed by the attention to detail, and the fact that the barbers never seemed rushed. There were a lot of customers waiting but the guys made it clear that the customer in the chair was going to get A+ service.Definitely can recommend!

Vinny Gs is great. It has a good mix of the older and younger clientele. Comfortable, clean, great sight lines to the TVs. Oh and the hair cuts are spot on. After my last one my wife told me I looked polished and said I needed to go more often. Cant beat that.

Bottom Line: its worth your time to give Vinny Gs a tryMy husband has had Vinny cut his hair for many years and now my two boys are starting to get their hair cut at Vinny Gs. They always do a great job here and come home looking HANDSOME! This shop is more affordable and a better quality cut than the chain barber shops. The shop itself has been in the neighborhood for years and Vinny recently moved in and brought a new energy and modern feel.

Came in at 10:15am on a Thursday, waited 10ish minutes for my turn, then Vince got me right into his chair.I’ve been looking for a consistent haircut for some time now and I finally found my guy. He did exactly what I wanted and lined me up with a straight razor to make it extra sharp. Affordable prices, but cash only so plan accordingly.I can see this place being real busy, so call ahead if you’re in a hurry. Otherwise, go for a good haircut, relaxed vibe, and bring your thick skin cause there’s plenty of sh*t talking going around haha. I’m sure it’s PG for the kiddos btw.

I’ve been going to Jeff for years. He’s always givin’ me the freshest fads with the perfect lines. I wouldn’t drive 50 minutes round trip if he weren’t worth it! Clearly there are a dozen shops closer to me but I choose Vinny G’s. Not only dose he treat you with care he treats you like family. A+ experience with even better prices =)

Ive been getting hair cut by James for several years now always does the best job !! Not the fastest place in town but if you want it fast go to Jimmy Johns or that cost cutting place across the way and let them wack your hair !! If you want a good professional old school haircut definitely come here worth every penny !!

Amazing haircuts. James is an artist. Be prepared for a wait, but be prepared to feel like the wait is not nearly long enough for a haircut at this caliber. They will not rush through a job no matter how many are waiting, when you are in the chair, its all about you. Everyone I have seen get out of vinnys chair looks good and is always very happy, but James performs hands down the best cut anywhere. Anywhere else, service like this would cost $50-75, and it would be worth it. I would gladly pay three times more than they charge and I would still think they are undercharging me. Make sure you tip these guys well, I dont figure how they make money any other way and they earn it. You will walk away feeling like a million bucks.

Vinny is the best barber to ever cut my hair. The new shop looks great! The only downside is I had to wait a few months for him to get opened up before I could get my hair back to normal. Great barber, awesome person, very fair pricing. Cant beat it!

Vinny has been my barber since he opened this shop a few years ago but also for several years before he owned his own shop. This shop has a great relaxed vibe instead of like the processing-plant chain shops but it is probably just as efficient. You can also book appointments ahead of time if you need to but walk ins are available every day too.Vinny is a great barber but it doesnt stop there. Like most really good barbers, he keeps you engaged in conversation and the rest of the guys are just as friendly. They all get along with each other too, which gives the shop an extra friendly atmosphere. His shop is the nicest looking neighborhood shop I have ever seen (and Im past retirement age).A professional sports theme with well-placed TVs (with cable) facing both directions, a couple of snacks available and a single-brew coffee machine (this is a huge plus). Even a nice restroom. Plan to relax and feel like a real human being.

I had pretty high hopes considering all of the good reviews...but i walked in and was told by the available barber that he wouldnt cut my hair because Im a woman. really? I have a typically mens haircut so Im pretty baffled. Womens salons rarely cater to my kind of haircut and usually dont know how to do fades or use the clippers. Ive never had any issues at a barber shop, so this is a first for me. Someone else offered to do the cut and did a great job, so no real complaining with the skill level. But maybe be a bit more inclusive? Its almost 2019. Definitely not going back and definitely wouldnt recommend to any women out there. real bummer and made me really self conscious about going into the next barber shop.
