These people are no less than crooks! They towed my car in the middle of the night claiming it was a no parking zone. I had parked in this same spot for 8 years. They became judge and jury by holding my car hostage. It cost me $300 to get back the next day.

Absolutely awful experience. FIRST OFF THEY ILLEGALLY TOWED MY TRUCK WITH NOO CALL OR WARNING. WHEN I WENT TO GET MY TRUCK IT WAS DEAD AND THEY JUST DRAGGED IT OUT AND DUMPED IT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. Thanks for towing the inconsiderate piece of work who parked in a private driveway (other parking was available mind you) quickly, really appreciate the late night service. No one could exit the driveway in an emergency...and surely most negative reviews are from the same sort of inconsiderate class of people who cant be bothered to walk an extra 30 seconds. These people probably would block a fire truck from a fire hydrant so THEY wont be inconvenienced then complain from fire damage.

They are wrongfully towing cars without authorization from HOA. They towed for expired registration however my registration is up to date.

Called and was told 2 cars ahead of me and one was being dropped as we spoke and told me someone should contact lateryou soon. 1hr 30mins later I called same answer 2 cars. Called a 3rd time guy told me the truth and wsaid we are busy and have way more cars ahead of you after 3hr 45mins they came. Horrible communication!!!!!!

I bid on a car in an auction and had a horrible experience i previously paid for the vehicle and when i went to pick it up they wanted me to pay 250 for the key to the vehicle. So i refused and had the vehicle towed to the dealership so i could get a new key and paid less.

Totally unethical and driven by greed, not public safety.When I went to pick up my car that they towed, I asked how they were able to get my car onto the tow vehicle without putting it in neutral, the lady behind the bullet-proof glass said they use dollies...Utter balderdash. There are two 20 foot long tire marks left on the pavement from where they dragged it. Towing my FWD Honda Accord by dragging it backwards possibly damaged its transmission. I have surveillance camera footage of the whole thing.Maxx Auto Recovery companys driver totally ignored a car next to mine that was literally illegally parked in a fire lane But they didnt bother with that car, because they probably figured they wouldnt pay the $279.50 it took to get my car back.

Nor did I give my permission to touch my vehicle, Im Registered with my comlex, parked straight, even with all the evidence still had to pay. In the middle of a pandemic where people are losing jobs, or dont have jobs, parents having to be teachers and have to choose job or educated future generations, an are struggling just to pay rent to stay aflot, these people seem to think making it harder on people its best for their business.. now they had really messed them up cause now how are they going to pay those bills and lose their vehicle due to the inability to get it out of this outrageous place, 30 a day for 3 hr plus all the bs charges and they have no problem damaging your vehicle to do it, ( bent front strut). This company was called to tow my vehicle from my apartment complex near DU last September by my neighbor. The complex had issues with students parking in our guest parking and my elderly neighbor made a mistake. Maxx Auto Recovery towed my 2006 limited Toyota 4runner from the back end - leaving my front tires on the pavement. For those who dont know, those vehicles are AWD and require both wheels off the ground when towing. Maxx Auto Recovery towed my vehicle 8 miles and ripped apart my awd system - causing $7k worth of damage. I was without a vehicle for months and still to this day have not been compensated for the damage. Maxx Auto Recovery is a group of scam artists and I am guessing only has contracts with apartment complexes for towing illegally parked vehicles. Although, they have good insurance because a year later, they havent paid a dime. Thanks Maxx Auto! You are a great business doing great things!

I received a sticker for my car being presumed abandoned in my complex, a driver showed and I went to speak with him, he completely ignored me and drove off with the vehicle anyway. Call the office and was basically told Im a liar, I understand people arent happy when they call here, there is a way to have a productive conversation. Scandalous and rude!

I got home from work around midnight to find another vehicle parked in my paid carport spot during a snow storm. I called Maxx Auto Recovery by the advice of the apartment complex and the posted signs. They gave me an ETA of 1.5-2 hours. Totally understandable with the weather. The driver showed up in less than an hour and was very kind and professional.I have family that own a busy towing company in a different state so I understand how overwhelmed towing companies can get when the weather is bad. I truly appreciate their quick arrival and professionalism and I will call them again if I ever need their services.Thank you!!Update: I did end up having to call them again for the same issue and they were just as great as the first time. The apartment complex has sent several emails to residents about parking in paid carport spots, so anyone who parks in those spots knows better or they don’t live here. Even visitors who aren’t told the rules by the resident can see signs posted at the entrances about parking.

After multiple attempts of calling the only listed number for them on Google, I kept getting the voicemail of a phone from an entirely different area code.After being on the road for 25 hours, I was HOPING to get in contact with the only contracted towing company for my complex. Tonight, however, that was not the case.All other dealings with this company (1 as employee that needed their services, 1 as a resident) have been a little slower on response time than I preferred, but delivered exceptional service

Would give zero stars if I could.My car was towed out of my apartment complex parking lot for being in the wrong spot. All other spots were occupied, including my own. No signs are posted in the actual parking area indicating towing repercussions. Nevertheless my car was towed, I had to go to the community mailbox to find the number of the towing company (Luckily I found that). When I finally got a hold of someone they did not offer any solutions or inform me of additional day charges applied. The employees don’t know the name of the manager. They don’t take cards over the phone, even with ID verification. The employees are rude, meaning they will interrupt you mid sentence to offer no solution. I’m out $254.This is a greedy, non BBB accredited business and I am repulsed by their repugnant standard operating practices.

The front desk person was very rude .. they towed my car from my apartments complex at 2:20 AM While I was sleeping and made me pay $238 to get it released!! thats a rip off I cant believe the law allow them to rip off people like this . I though my car was stolen because they didnt even let us know that the car was towed!! . they also dragged the car while it was being transported to their yard without placing it on the the truck and that would damage the transmission according to manufacturers manual.

After receiving a total of 4 different tow trucks from different companies and being 3:30 am Maxx towing was able to get my vehicle home in a very efficient manner! The driver, David, went out and beyond that all of our concerns where answered. His experience spoke for itself when other tow trucks didnt even want to touch my vehicle due to the way it was positioned! I am so satisfied with their work and definitely recommend their service to those in the surrounding areas!!

Rude, completely bit*** asked me one question then left me standing outside in the cold for an hour. I know.... A 5 star rating to a company in a very unethical business. I had my car towed from my apartment complex because the complex didnt report my registered plate to this firm on a timely basis. Instead of speaking to a no-bot when trying to reclaim my car I was actually listened to and got my car back Without charge.The software this firm uses to monitor client cars is totally obsolete. You dont have any way of seeing what cars are registered and it doesnt handle temp tags or changes in vehicles well. Im also not a fan of having cars towed with registration only one day past due. (Even the state doesnt enforce that. It should be 30 days past to give people a chance to get tabs in the mail). This is excessive and reeks of desperation on this firms part.Im also annoyed at the lack of effort this firm puts into signage in and around complexes. If you dont want people parking in spots make an effort. Simply hanging a sign with 8 point font at the entry way and leaving hundreds of spots unmarked is very unethical. Make an effort to inform.In all, Glad I got my car back without paying a fee. Please work on your software and practices. thank you for listening to me.

Car towed with no verification that it was even in the wrong spot! I live in a town home complex and every parking spot has markings that indicate which spot belongs to what homeowner, as well as guests spots. The snow was completely covering the curb side markings, and Maxx Auto towed my car anyway! When speaking with Maxx Auto the manager I believe her name to be Julie Ann was so incredibly rude. She just started yelling when I challenged her on the issue of how they verified that the car didnt belong there. She said she had a picture, but would not show me this picture. I also had a picture from that morning showing that you could not see the markings unless you walked over to the curbside, and uncovered the markings which they did not! That same day I called them to test what they would say if I wanted a car towed, the tow truck driver said that he cannot tow a car unless he can clearly see the markings for each parking spot, obviously they did not do this when towing my car. The car was towed at 7:50AM and was only in their possession for 1 day and it was 240 dollars! I cant believe the law allows them to rip people off. I have written the Better Business Bureau and hope these people cannot profit off of cheating other people out of their money! Overall they are just criminals that have found loop holes in the law to get away with ripping people off. The manager there needs to be fired, but I doubt that will happen considering other reviews Ive seen that say that she is the wife of the owner, which is probably the only reason she is even employed at all!!!!!!!

I was towed by my apartment complex, Greenwood Plaza, for parking in the wrong space. My car was literally in front of my apartment in the gated area. Super glad I pay $2,100/mo to live in a complex that tows their own residents.

First off, I hate having to tow people. But I am paying for the parking and there is a big sign that makes it clear. Not that it mattered as Maxx Auto Towing has not provided their service the two times I’ve had to call. The first time, the tow truck never showed up. No call, no apology. The second time, the tow truck showed up 3 hours after I called. By that time the car had already moved. If you are going to provide a service, have the foresight to own enough trucks and drivers for the market you are serving. If you’re not willing to invest on your business, then drop some of your clients so that a better equipped company can provide this service.

They need to be more careful about who they decide to tow. 😠 My friend go towed b/c he accidentally parked in the wrong spot at my building. He had to pay $200 to get back his car. 🤮

I had my car wrongfully taken from my parking lot which was not Maxx recoveries fault. However upon the return of my car they did not properly tow it and pieces from my car are missing. When I called asking they replied “why would I take that”

Went to get my car that was questionably towed by apartment to find out they tracked in a bunch of dirt into my car and got mud all over it. They also accept only exact change for cash payments because apparently they are supposed to get some sort of tip for them ruining your day.

Keep in mind I saw the tow truck and the two D tips looked right at me as I was hauling all my groceries up to the third floor. They knew what I was doing yet still took my vehicle. I contacted them and the lady that answered was the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life. She said it would be 180 to get my truck back. Then when I got there they said it would be 225 because I was rude? I agreed to pay and while they were running my card the D tips walk in and the one that was driving started pretending to jerk himself off. I couldnt believe it. These are the worst people which I understand because they are uneducated low lifes. I know there is nothing I can do except write this review. Stay the hell away from these people scam all the way!

I had MAXX auto recovery scheduled a week in advance to be at my property at 8AM to relocate cars in our parking lot while it is being repaved. Two and a half hours later and nobody has yet to show. I have a crew of six guys being paid hourly that are currently sitting on their thumbs, waiting to work. I called the office and was instantly met with hostility from the receptionist. The lack of professionalism and time management is astounding with this company. Would not recommend and prefer not to work with them again.

I called to have a car towed from my reserved parking space and was told Itll only be a few minutes. A truck is on its way. One hour later and the car was still there so I called again and got the same response. The finally called four hours after my initial phone call and I told them to be there in 30 minutes so I could meet them there. They didnt show up on time and my space remained occupied overnight. Call any other towing company if you need someone to tow a car from your space because Maxx wont help you.

Scam pulled my truck from a playground on private property. My 4 year old was balling and crying cause she thought someone stole our car.

My car was towed, and I was going to collect my belongings inside. Once I went through everything I needed to do, I stood out by the gate and waited. I had to send the guy back three times because several things were missing. I didnt have much in the car because I KNEW it was going to be towed. Then I found out that my Nano Mount had been taken off the dash of my car, but no one could find it. Obviously whoever cleaned my car out took it. I was told they wouldnt take my E-470 sticker off because it would ruin it. But that is what I wanted. I didnt want someone driving it and me being charged for tolls. I just wasnt impressed whatsoever!

This company operates on the wrong doing to other to make a profit for their company. Daughter car was wrongfully towed and at Christmas time when you need your money for love ones. This is a huge burden for our family.

Called them to have an abandoned car towed from the parking lot where I work. A young-sounding woman answered the phone, said Hello and then sounded like she was talking to someone else in the background. After I spoke about two sentences with her occasionally saying a word or two to some other person, she just hung up.To hell with them. There are plenty of other tow truck companies in this city whod be happy to collect this abandoned car and sell it.

Par for the course it looks like. I was towed for parking in the wrong space at my apartment. I call the them and the driver says its going to cost 212.00. I bring the exact amount the next day to the facility.The blonde lady says its 215.00. I double check the recording (yes I have an app that records my calls). I tell her I have a recording quoting 212.00. She says she doesnt care. Okay...? So I go scrounging in my Dads car for change to make the difference up.She waits for me to come back with quarters and dimes. She laughs at me and says quarters are not legal tender and she cant accept them (REALLY?? Not according to the Department of Treasury!). I then ask to pay the difference with my card. She says no (of course). I dont have 215 on my card so I have to go to the supermarket 3 miles away to trade out three god forsaken paper dollars. Three dollars which I would have had if I was told thats how much it was to begin with. And for my troubles I was laughed at and talked down to.These people are the bottom-feeding scum of the earth. They power trip on people who just want their car back by coming up with the most ridiculous rules and reasoning that defies logic to no end... and we allow it to happen! Ive had my car towed by civil and polite people that are just doing their job. These are not those kind of people. I can see why theyre the lowest rated towing company in the state. If I could give them 1 star I would. Picked my car up from my own garage because my tag was on the windshield, which was recently repaired. They charged me 305 dollars to get my car out of the lot with an additional fee of $65.00 for towing at 4:30 AM. After leaving the lot, my tires did not seem right. Come to find out I have a piece of scrap metal in my tire that was lodged in.... when calling the company a rude CHILD yelled at me. When asking what her name was her tone of voice quickly changed. I will be going to towing company physically and speaking with management.

They towed my car cause I didnt park it in the garage.. Really.. First off there where plenty of spaces to park.. Second although I have a permit to park only in the garage, they still towed my car.. Oh they did put stickers of warning.. But does that make any difference.. They seen an opportunity to make some money and not care bout the little guy....

These people are CROOKS!!! I woke up to notice my car was towed!! I know this company places ALMOST impossible stickers on the window of your car giving you a 72 hr notice! ( they put one on my sons car and a year prior put one on my car) Needless to say, there was NEVER A STICKER put on my car!! I asked to see pictures and they sent me a close up picture of the sticker which DOES NOT PROVE it was on my car. They show pictures of my car without a rear tag on it. (Obviously someone stole it) I went down there the VERY next day to dispute the tow and told them I’d be in contact with them. I was unable to get my car out but wanted to get my items out of the car. This is my second car so I stored things in there. They stated I could NOT get my things because it was past 48hours!!!! I am FURIOUS!! Why didn’t they tell me this when I was down there the next day!!!!???? CROOKS!! CROOKS!!! CROOKS!!!! I will be filing a complaint with the Secretary of State and the BBB!!!! They repossessed my car. I knew it was coming. Im not upset with them. Thats their job. I didnt prepare though. I had sick kids and I have been sick for some time myself. After expressing to them that I had medication we needed in my car, they allowed me to pick up my personal property as soon as they logged the car vehicle and did an inventory. Nothing was missing. I couldnt be more thankful!!! Without two of those medications, we would have been in the emergency room tonight.

Honestly most of us here f**ked up. Managers of certain properties hire these guys to clean up the parking lots so we should really be mad at the property owner/manager. Jeremy helped me here and he waived a couple different fees and was very cool about it. Cant say I enjoyed any part of being towed, but if youre cool to people chances are theyll be cool too.

After reading terrible reviews, I was really worried about picking up my car. My son misparked, it got towed, but they were helpful and I had no issues.

I was towed out of my reserved parking space at my apartment complex in downtown Denver. I have a written statement from my landlord saying that my car was not supposed to be towed. They will not talk to me, theyre avoiding my emails, and I have contacted my lawyer. The little girls at the office ran away from me when I asked to speak to somebody higher up. Look at my default picture, Im just so threatening.Not to mention there are a bunch of cars parked in designated no parking areas, fire lanes, and handicap areas of my apartment complex. But they wont tow people out of those areas. They will only tow out of reserved spaces, because they know that we have money.

So I am not another person complaining about being towed wrongfully. I have made several attempts to have vehicles towed from my assigned parking spot over the past couple months and they always have some excuse as to why they cant or they just dont show up at all. I have been trying to get my apartment management to change their towing company, because this company is absolutely useless. I pay $70/month to have a spot close to my apartment. When I come home from work whether that is 5pm or 12am, I expect my spot to be there for me. If not, I want them towed because there is no where else to park here!

As others have stated, this shady business is towing cars for property managers and HOAs illegally. They had my car for less than 6 hours and ripped me off for $300...and it was even parked in the damn driveway (Nazi HOA). Companies such as Maxx Auto Recovery are basically criminal organizations, collude with property owners and other towing companies to reap more profits (profit share with repeat customers), ridiculous rates to rip off anyone they come across, and think somehow theyre not a bunch of crooks. I realize giving a review to a worthless company such as this is largely a waste of time and nothing will stop this company from continuing their felonious ways.

I get people dont like towing companies. But they are just doing their job if you are doing something wrong. However. FOR A BUSINESS TO PROMOTE DRINKING AND DRIVING IS DOWNRIGHT DISGUSTING. Everyone that considers doing business or does do business with them, please reconsider IMMEDIATELY. Even if you call them when you are going to be responsible and pick up a family member or friend who has drunk too much. They do not care. I called to tell them a license plate number and model so they will not tow and these criminals said regardless of the circumstance we will tow regardless of the call. This is an absolute disgusting practice. Please do not use this horrible business

This company robs people for their own benefit.They towed my car from my apartment and where i have a parking permit when i showed them my permit they continued to argue with me and wouldnt release my car to me without paying. I think its sad how Maxx Recovery is ok with stealing from people.

They dont do their job. Called and complained several times due to parking violations. Their response was we come thru every month or two. How is that doing your job when we are telling you there are violations? Lazy, that is what you are. Do your job.

Can say enough how awful this company is. My vehicle was towed from my townhouse even when I was talking to the hoa . They are crooks and customer service is detestable.. I would give them negative stars if I could

I work for advenir at Lowry this company towed my truck illegally because they dont understand you only need a sticker if your under a carport and every car thats parked in an uncovered spot has no sticker and they tow mine. Very rude customer service with little or no help next time they come to my property Im giving them the boot😠

My parking lot is occupied by unknown car. I called maxx auto recovery at 3.00am when I got home. Its 5.17am and Im still waiting for the tow. Who responds for that delete??? I worked whole night. I need to sleep and nobody comes to tow the car...

Just report these people to the better business bureau then they might start realizing their error

Called in for a tow and they did a amazing job!

Extremely unprofessional. Went to pick up my vehicle and they had an open beer bottle in the office! Asked the woman if the person who had been drinking would be driving my truck. She scoffed and told me she would be driving it herself. 5 minutes later one of the guys drove my truck off the lot. How do I know that wasn’t his beer?
