Jojo and her crack team of trainers have an incredible fitness community! I use community intentionally because the group is so tight-knit and motivational. If you wanna feel the burn and feel the love this is the place!
Operation Boot Camp is an amazing community filled with fitness and fun. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive, always knowing how to encourage campers to the next level. The workouts are fantastic, varied, and always scalable. Its my favorite part of every day. Its amazing what can happen in 30 days!
Ive been doing OBC for three years and its become one of the absolute must do things in my life. Come meet an amazingly friendly, supportive group of people - we help each other and cheer each other on. Im 20 lbs lighter and much more fit than I was 3 years ago. Ive also completed 4 half-marathons because of these folks. But the real win is that Ive met a group of amazing, positive, funny people who I really enjoy. Its a community as much as it is a workout group.
This is an amazing group of supportive people to get into shape with. They inspire using their own stories and strength to get you to your goals. You are allowed to be yourself and find your own best self, even if it is early in the morning.
This camp changed my life. You may go to a boot camp thinking about losing weight or getting fit. If you go to this one you will not only get fit, you will wall away with lifelong friends and people who sincerely care about you. It is one of the best environments I have ever been in and am lucky enough to be apart of. No matter what your fitness level is you will get a lot out of it. People you just meet going will cheer you on and everyone will be in your corner. I wouldnt just suggest this for friends, i would suggest it to my family members and people i care about the most!
N the past I have never considered myself a group person. Workout or otherwise. My OBC experience definitely shifted that for me. The bottom line is that there is no better way to get in shape fast - and to have fun while youre doing it. Yes, it is early - but it is an incredible feeling to have your workout finished by 7am. A bonus is that you will meet people who will impact you for the long-term - and you get to see your friends before work every day! How cool is that??
Has been a huge deal-changer for me - supportive crew of instructors, fun group of participants, and I get a good, tough workout - all before work. Signing up was the best decision Ive made!
OBC has been a great experience; I had no idea it would have so many benefits carry over to the rest of the day. Ive never done a group fitness class, nor have I ever wanted to; a friend dared some guys on our street to sign up with him a few years ago and Ive stuck with it. The workouts are hard if you are overweight and out of shape and theyre hard if you are fit and fast; thats been the best surprise: everyone gets their own personal workout in - it doesnt matter the fitness level or age. The atmosphere isnt a clique-y, hormone-soaked weird vanity thing. Its low key & low pressure, and Ive watched some people transform themselves into super athletes and others just get themselves in shape for the first time in their lives. The workouts have a lot of functional movement stuff, stretching, agility exercises - very helpful stuff you just dont get as a runner or solo exerciser and its had carry over benefits to everything else.
Ive tried many group exercise programs since I know that I am more consistent and fit when working out with others. This OBC program had me hooked on day 1, not just because the work out was great, but the people! I fell in love with them immediately. I read a quote recently that sums it up best:The people we surround ourselves with either raise or lower standards. They either help us to become... the best versions of ourselves or encourage lesser versions of ourselves. We become like our friends... We all need people in our lives who raise our standards, remind us of our essential purpose, and challenge us to become the best versions of ourselves.Incredible people, fun and shenanigans, professional and tough workouts, thats what you will find at OBC.
I cant say enough great things about OBC Candler Park and Decatur. From my experience, youll get fit really fast with a wide variety of exercises and activities. The first month is HARD! and then it gets really fun. Youll have a chance to compete against yourself to improve. Its a great overall workout and the instructors are super encouraging and engaged. I really appreciated that they worked with me to modify exercises to get through an injury. I had a schedule change so I cant make the morning workouts otherwise I would still be a camper. OBC is a grade-a organization and I highly recommend it.
