Please avoid living here. The leasing office dismisses any issues that tenants may have and do not care about their safety. They will also try to take away all of your deposit when moving out.

I would give a negative star if I can. I just moved in and found so many problems in a newly-leased apartment. We found lots of ants in the kitchen and a few in the rooms. The floor under the washing machine is really disgusting. The sink is leaking when we turn on a/c. Other problems as well. I emailed the office 7 times this week to add more things on maintenance report and they never reply. I came to the office to ask why maintenance team won’t come. They only said that the maintenance team will come after a week. So I cannot use the kitchen for a whole week. The office avoids the problems instead of trying to work it out.

Horribly unsupportive management.

I lived at Octave apartments for one year. I moved in hopeful because of the new management; however, this is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. My roommates and I moved into our apartment with a hole in our ceiling and a cockroach-infested kitchen. The management never took responsibility for any of their actions and everything was always an excuse, rather than a plan on how to make our living situation better. Overall, the management and apartment complex itself was very disappointing. Octave, please be kind and listen to your tenants and dont abuse your power over college students. And for those of you thinking to live here, look at Yelp for more accurate reviews of this place.

Worst management ever!!! I would urge you to never live in this apartment complex. Maintenance guy crashed into my vehicle as he was distracted from playing on his phone and listening to music WHILE DRIVING HIS GOLF CART. He even admitted it was his fault and said he was distracted! Well guess what, FPI management never paid me a dime for my vehicle damage. At this point, I believe that my insurance sent this to collections.Never trust them!! You can’t even get them to answer your demands at the corporate level. Emily, the property manager, at the time never attempted to remedy this situation.Moreover, management completely came into my apartment on a SATURDAY, without a work notice. Imagine the shocked surprise I received when I barely came out of the shower in an indecent shape.Do not trust this company, when I would into the office, there would always be a line of 10-15 people waiting for assistance for their service requests. Service requests for basic things such as HEATED WATER, electricity, sinks, and kitchen countertops, etc.You’ll never get your deposit back either. I know we didn’t.

When we moved in, dirty dish washer, dirty wash and dry machines, many cigarette in patio. If something doesn’t work, do not try to call or leave notes to office, they will not come! And do not need to buy the additional parking permit for $20 monthly, nobody check! A bird died in front of our back door, we called and noticed office 5 times in a month! However, u need to fix it by urself. If u can handle everything by urself, pick octave as well

I am giving Allegre a five star review for one reason, and one reason only. I havent been completely satisfied at all with how things have been done around here BUT there has been one major perk to living here, and this is the only place publicly I really know of to write a review about this perk. There maybe only a few maintenance workers here but there is only one technician, his name is Don. This guy is incredible, i had so many problems with my apartment and I never thought they would get done because of the amount of work orders I KNOW this guy has. The apartments are under renovation, so I know he has got to be busting his butt to get everything done. He has had to do everything in my apartment himself and that includes bringing huge appliances up two flights of stairs! He has been through here all week making sure everything gets done. Its not just the work he does thats amazing, he is also really easy to talk to and he made me feel super comfortable to have him in my home. The more he came to finish things up, the more it felt like a good friend was coming over to help me out. He is super respectful and a hard worker, this guy didnt freggin stop. Im just really impressed with him and his work ethic and also the fact that I actually felt very secure and safe with him here. I even took a nap one day while he was fixing things and he somehow got a washer and dryer up two flights of stairs without even waking me up! My boyfriend is at work all day while Im here alone and so I actually feel SAFER when Don comes to fix something here. Its just a relief to know the person that is coming into your home to fix things is trustworthy and respectful. I really really hope that he is here at Allegre to stay because not only is he reliable, but he is also a great person to have around. Usually when maintenance comes into your home to fix things its a little uncomfortable but with Don its just not like that and its because of the good vibes and energy he has. Hes also really funny too :) Thank you for all of your help DON!

I have lived at Allegre for the past year, and really wish I could stay longer! The location is great, its a short walk to many points of interest in Davis. Theres a Safeway, a Boba place, Rite Aid, hair cuts, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese food and Round Table, Gas Station, Sandwich and Coffee shops just a block away. It has the bike trail running along the Putah Creek just behind it and its a great place to run lined with lots of great trees and tons of wildlife. We have had a few maintenance issues which were all resolved very promptly - within a day or two, or sometimes same day - far faster than previous places I have lived. Its relatively quiet, no real problems with any neighbors. If you get your car registered, you dont have trouble with the towing - honestly, many places around here tow aggressively. We have been very careful about not letting our friends park in the wrong spots - if your friend gets towed because you didnt tell him about the rules, thats on you, not the complex. I have seen several people with dogs and we ourselves have two cats. They dont do apartment checks or harass you. On numerous occasions, like when Ive been locked out, or almost towed because my windshield was replaced, and when I got unexpectedly transferred to a training position that required we move just after re-signing the lease, they have been extremely accommodating and helpful. Very understanding staff, I never got the feeling they were trying to gouge me for money. I hope whoever gets our place after we leave will appreciate it as much as we did! I cannot comment on the quality of the pool, BBQ pit, gym and other amenities as we did not make use of them while here.

POTENTIAL FUTURE RESIDENTS: DO NOT LIVE HEREAllegre (now called Octave in hopes to raise their reviews) was absolutely awful. We paid and signed up for a fully renovated (with all brand new appliances) apartment upon move in, and nothing was renovated when we got there in September. The stove didn’t have drip pans, and we kept asking for them so that we could cook food, but it took over a week for management to get their act together and give them to us. It took until after winter break (4 months) for us to finally get all of our new appliances, and they set us up with a fridge that didn’t work. We spent about a month trying to get a new fridge, or get ours repaired, when it shouldn’t have taken more than a week or so. The management constantly makes excuses (e.g. “Oh sorry I’m new here”) and are all completely inept at their jobs. Finally, after moving out, they have completely taken away our security deposit and are charging us more money on top of that for cleaning and damages that were not even in our apartment. So whatever you do, don’t live at this place. The management is god awful. Save yourself from this misery.

Maintenance service not satisfied. Need to wait for a long time until the maintenance guy comes if you ask for a maintenance request.

Apartments are hard to locate due to missing numbers on buildings and layout design of property.
