Got a gel manicure, missed half of 3 of my nails rest peeled in 2 days. 4 days later there’s barley any left, even cut me in a few spots. I was told I’d have to pay to have them fixed. Probably shouldn’t go there.

Only place I will ever go. Mel and David and the whole family are great people just trying to live a great life for their family! No one can match Mels talent. She knows how get what you want and remembers it from the go! I love her to death! Support local!

The guy that did my pedicure, soaked my feet, he hurried to get it done. Miss spots on my nails,. I have polish all over my toes. I kept on going outside in the back. Came home to get my ingrown nails out. That he said I didnt have. I have wasted $35. Will not come back again.

The guy who did my nails just wanted to talk about random things in his life the whole time it was so annoying. There was not alot of polish options so I chose to do gel polish and the colors were nice but the job was horrible...not to mention one of my nails chipped polish in less than a week and that never happens for me.

It depends on the nail tech that you have. My friend and I got our nails done yesterday for prom. Her nails looked beautiful. My nails were crooked and uneven. The guy that did my nails was very unprofessional and did not say a word to me. Very disappointing experience, I do not recommend. My mom also had a similar experience as I did a few months ago. Her gel nails that she got started peeling off 2 days later.

Oh my god! Literally my FAVORITE nail salon! The workers are so warm hearted & sweet! Mel, the owner, is the sweetest nail lady I’ve ever met in my life! The first time I went my nails were smooth & beautiful! You don’t have to worry about any nail being crooked because she is a perfectionist. She won’t let you leave frowning Lam is so silly & funny! Everything you need in a nail salon. I went in for a fill. Lam did them, I love the shape and finally a fill that goes all the way to the cuticle! Quality job for sure. I think my total bill was 30 something but I had gel polish and an accent nail too. I would definitely go here again.

Gel nails is the best place to get your nails done. Ive been coming here for over a year and always have a very pleasant experience. Vy is my favorite and does s marvelous job is shaping my nails and helping me pick out fun colors of polish. They are all friendly and welcome you warmly. Great place!!

Spa pedicure is just getting your feet wet and nails painted. You can scrub your feet and cut your cuticles better at home. Owners seem like new business owners and there is unappealing country music playing too loud- won’t be back

I asked for a certain picture said he couldn’t do it ok, asked to just spilt the colors down the middle of each nail but each color is mixed in on the wrong side paint job sucks and it’s not even fully covering my nail (the color) made me pay $65 for $40 hack job

I love this new salon!! It is so refreshing to have these dedicated young people speaking fluent English!!! It is a family business, and they deserve your business. Stop in and check them out, because once you do, you will be hooked. I highly recommend them. I met them at their previous location, and am happy to support them at their awesome new location. Pedicure was quick foot soak and went through motions of each step for seconds and then nails painted ( and not well )Had a gel manicure. Didn’t trim cuticles and polish looked like it had been diluted. No prices posted. Was shocked to hear mani pedi was $77 for what I got in return. Will not be back.

I was in the area and decided to give Gel Nails a try... So glad I did. I got a full set (gel) with shellac polish and they are beautiful. David did my nails and was very gentle and didnt abuse my sad real nails, the full set is perfectly shaped, not to thick, no bubbles or oopsies, and a fabulous hello kitty pink. Everyone that works there is friendly and talented. Two thumbs up!

I cannot say enough good things about this salon! I have been coming to Gel Nails for 3 years after shopping around for a nail salon that fit for me in the Quad Cities. Melissa is a rock star when it comes to detail and the entire staff is a lot of fun. I go every 2 weeks and have NEVER had an issue with cleanliness or skill when it comes to my nails. I have gotten acrylic, pedis and just simple gel manicures and all have been great experiences. Many of my friends now get their nails done at Gel after my recommendation and are happy as well. I went last week on a Sunday for a pedicure. As she had the clippers she says clip and I said yes....none of them where clipped..I got caught up watching the TV and didnt noticed til she was getting ready to add polish that she didnt clip any of them and they where already way past due. Polish didnt even get to edges..could still see my nail on sides. This is my first bad experience in 3 visits, but it was bad enough not to return. Also as I was sitting there a girl who just got her nails done left only to return a few minutes later pointing out a issue on her nail which they had to redo again. So looking for a new place...People are nice but ......that dont make the job good.

I would have rather taken the $30 I spent on a pedicure and flushed it down the toilet. The very small selection of nail polish they have, looks like they are about 20 years old-empty and or separated. I witnessed someone get turned away with an appointment because they were “busy”, yet it was just me and a friend in there. but helped 10 other people who came in after her. My toe nails look like my 9 year old painted them...with her eyes closed. Do not waste your time or money.

This is one of the best nail salons in Davenport Iowa. They all know what they are doing and can do any design that you wud want. I’ve had a great experience every time I have came here.

I was really hoping for a great experience. Im very disappointed, I have had many pedicures and I asked to have a toe nail fixed and it was cut off.. fine but then the manicure of my toes.. no making sure that I had any ingrown toenail...i can even deal but then the message of my feet not great at all

Overall, decent. Good with acrylic shaping, but took my acrylics off by popping them off, then used the drill on my natural nail. Put gel shellac on top of my cuticles which are a now grown out slightly and are a ridge on my nail. Not a super smooth top coat either. Meh.

Gel Nails is amazing. For my third time going there I went to get my nails done for my wedding with a few of my bridesmaids and they were once again fantastic. Awesome bridal packages for the Bride and Bridal party and excellent service. They are the place to go!!

THIS SOLON IS SO FUN!!Lam was very sociable and helped make us feel at ease! My best friend gets married soon in Punta Cana. She changed her mind a few times on colors and Lam made jokes about it so she didn’t feel too bad with her changes. The outcome was GORGEOUS!Music was playing, wine/beer/soda was offered immediately when walking in, and the atmosphere is super chill.This would be a GREAT location for a fun bridal party— ASK FOR LAM! :)

Dont even waste your time or money. I went on Friday to have my nails done and by Sunday the gel Polish had peeled off of one of my nails. The guy who did my nails seemed to lack any typeexperience. I cant believe that this place is even considered a Salon More like a hole in the wall. Staff were more concerned about their phones than aboutthe customer. An hour of my life wasted gone, wasted in this shack.

The guy who did my nails was nice, but when they were finished the nails were uneven and he didnt let the polish finish drying before dismissing me so there were scratches and marks in the paint. Wouldnt recommend unless youre desperate for a cheap manicure

I came in about two weeks ago. I think the owner did my nails. My nails looked great. I love how they look but her table was so messy, cluttered and dusty. The nail salon looked unorganized, wires were hanging from the desks, almost everything was dusty. She did my eyebrows afterwards, and she used an old, used wax stick on me. I could tell it wasn’t new. It is a Iowa law for the esthetician to use a new wax stick on the skin every time they wax your eyebrows. I’ve never been anywhere that reuses wax sticks. It’s disgusting. The brow station looks terrible and wax residue is everywhere. I didn’t even even let her use the cooling gel on my skin because the bottle had such bad sticky residue on it. I assumed she should know how to keep a salon that she owns sanitary and neat but I guess not! I’d love to come back to her for my nails but it’s just not sanitary enough for me.

I had my nails done 5days ago, and my nails were already cracked on the next day I had my nails done.But I had work and I couldnt make it to salon for five days. and I call them to get my nails done again and they told me I have to pay extra ＄10 to have my nails done. Its ridiculous because I had gel nails and it supposed to not come off at least a week. But what they have done to my nails wasnt good and now I have to pay another $10? Their Customer service is really sucks. This was my second time having my nails done over here and first time was really good so Im really disappointed. I wont go there again

I went in there for the second time today they did not lie about my wait time they spoke perfectly good English they were able to help intricately designed my nails quickly and perfectly for only I think it was 25 Dollars Best place to get your nails done in town

Its 25.00 for a pedicure and 28.00 for mens pedi, but so worth it!!! Complementary blush wine and a beer for hubby. They took their time and did a good job with exfoliating and clipping cuticles, and didnt dig their nails into our skin to get into the cuticles like other nail artists. The nail artist did a good job painting my nails and cleaned them up neat with a brush and acetone so they look pretty. Defiantly worth the money we paid, but will still be going to a different salon because of price, and maybe go back occasionally as a special treat.

So I went to this nail shop today to get my nails done and I said I would like a manicure and she was like just polish right and I said no I want fake nails and she was like you think an adult would know the difference between a manicure and a full set. I just turned around and walked away. Why would you be so rude to a potential customer? That is not how you get business! I get my nails done once in a blue moon so, no, I didnt know there was a difference! I drove 35 minutes for their talents and get treated like $#!+

I was there not even a week ago and my nails are already starting to move down. I have an infection in my finger due to the guy getting to close to my skin and making me bleed. My nails look like crap. I got told my nails were dry and they werent. I asked for it to be fixed and got told no unless I paid for it. This is the second time I have been there and I will not be going back.

Called and made and appointment woman got my name AND NUMBER. Drove an hour and a half to be told they didnt have time!!!! Why take my number and then not have the decency to call me and let me know... VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NEVER RETURN!!

I knew I should have walked out the minute I saw the sanitation and I am still considering calling the health department. The place reeked of cigarettes and one nail technician joked to another about how a third employee had to take smoke breaks before seeing customers, which actually occurred during my services. I believe the owner did my nails, a removal of acrylic nails with gel polish and a manicure after that. First he used a mechanical drill on my nails, and then he repeatedly had me soak my hands in acetone. Several times, he drilled the goo off and then had me place my hands in acetone heated with steaming water. He used the drill during the entire removal process. When that part was finished, he asked me if I wanted my nails cut. I said yes, please even them out, assuming he meant cutting the end of the nail. He then drilled on my nails again, at times using the drill to trim the edges of my nails or my cuticles. When he did trim my actual nails, they were several different lengths and shapes. My hands were very dry from all of the acetone but I was not offered any cuticle oil, instead finding just lotion that was caked around the spout with a peeling label on the drying station. As I waited for my nails to dry, I looked around the salon for sanitation measures. During my nail service, I noticed that the man doing my nails grabbed tools that looked covered with a white dust, then dusted my hands with an old, ragged, dusty brush. I noticed that the cash register was covered with a layer of grime, the displays were knocked down, all the pedicure chairs had old towels hanging over the basins, there was not a sanitizer in sight, the polishes were mainly old and less than half full and disorganized, and the floors were dirty. My nails hurt when I got home around the cuticle and a few on the nail bed. They chipped the next day and developed scraggly parts that needed to be trimmed. The surface of the nail is marred and has an obvious horizontal line where the artificial nail was. I hope my nails will grow out without splitting. My hands are still very dry even with vitamin E treatments and cuticle oil at home.I am a habitual pedicure customer around town and a rare manicure customer. When I got my nails done originally, I was in Arizona and there they charged a sanitation fee for disposable basin liners and jet covers. The manicure also included fresh instruments which were immediately put in sterilizing solution. Since the prices were the same in Arizona and in Iowa, I expected the same level of service and will walk out of anywhere that does not practice the same level of care in the future. This place should be shut down. It is in a great location where the community expects quality. The sanitation and service here give the whole area an unsafe feeling.To the nail technician sitting in the chair next to my area, its not a laughing matter that co-workers are smoking while standing at the open back door, smoke drifting in to fill the salon. When you joked to the man in charge drilling at my nails, I was halfway into the ordeal and had little recourse. I have even less now due to the no refunds policy.

TERRIBLE! The whole place smelled of cigarette smoke - one of the male employees couldnt even get through one manicure without excusing himself to take a smoke break. It was almost unbearable to be seated near him. My mother-in-law had to leave because the smell was so overwhelming. He and another employee were loud and yelling back and forth across the salon to each other the entire time. I get my nails done to be pampered and relax - this was FAR FROM either of those things.
