I tried the free pass but the guy in the desk asked me if I ever been to a LA Fitness before ever in my life.. and I told him yes but not the one here. He told me the free pass is only for people who really want to pay for a membership. And I told him but how would I know if I want to join if you dont let me try it. I told him that the pass does not specify that its only for people who never been to a LA fitness. He doesnt care and says he cant honor the free pass.
The gym is large and clean with some of the newest equipment. There is plenty of parking in the big lot in the morning hours. The free weights area can get crowded, even at 6am, so my suggestion is that they disburse more free weights around the gym to avoid crowding and enable more social distancing.
A new low. This gym is truly terrible. It used to be decent, but over the last few months it has gone even further down hill. The staff doesn’t care in the slightest.I have gotten used to LA Fitness being gross, having rude staff, and being overall mediocre. But this gym has become so disgusting I can’t ignore it. This is splattered blood on the wall of the bathroom. I would have used a different urinal but the other one had mold all over it. I will be attempting to report this gym to the health department, if that is possible.
Eh. This location was okay. Some body yelled at my friend for training me. The employee told us we should buy a LA fitness personal trainer package. Informed the employee he is not a trainer, just a friend giving me advice and helping with form. We were asked to leave.
New you, old music. This gym plays music from thirty to forty years ago. But their sales motto is new year, new you. Turns out its new you, old music. Well, its hard to get motivated and move forward in life when all the sounds around you keep you in the past.
Called to ask about memberships/prices and received help from Mercedes, who provided excellent customer service! He was very helpful and also very patient in answering all my questions and helping me sign up for a gym membership. 10/10
I’ve been a member of maybe 16 or so clubs in my lifetime and I’ve never came across worse customer service than I did here. I went in to get a daily pass and a rep named Jim gave an unfortunately low level of service. For the first time in my life I was refused a guest pass to try out the facilities. And was told I would have to buy a membership without seeing the it or the amenities. No explanation or even entry level customer service followed. There was a very good chance of me purchasing or signing up that day. When I went back in to ask his name to call and complain he refused to give his last name saying it was “personal information”. From what I could see of the facility it seemed nice. I’ll never find out however. And I’d be weary of other locations that share the same management as I’d assume the level of service reflects on their management standards and attention to detail. For the record this is my first time ever giving a negative review to any fitness location and I personally dislike doing it. But at a time when cancellations are higher than average and fewer new memberships are rolling in due to the social climate it’s surprising to see this level of service in a customer facing position. Wish I could say this wasn’t the case.
Great gym. They have all kinds of classes, Spin, HIIT, and much more. Plus a swimming pool and a basketball gym too.
Why is the music soooo soooo soooo bad?
One of the better gyms Ive visited in the DFW. Top of the line equipment and friendly staff. What makes them stand out is the swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna. Would highly recommend this place 👌
I love it here! Come see LUIS AND DEAN !!!
The club is great! I have nothing bad to say about the place! The staff is very friendly and Jim was great! Can’t wait to go back for my next workout!
Always clean. Literally never have seen this place not be clean. But besides that, I really like the fact that they have disinfectant that you can carry around with you to clean off the machines when you’re finished using them. It keeps everyone accountable.
Cool place. Usually Im in preston. But it was nice to change the vibes a little
Wish it had a 🏀 court, but otherwise its cleaner than my home LA Fitness.
This gym is poorly managed, old equipment, the bathroom and sauna are just gross. One cleaning lady during weekdays so the mens bathroom is never cleaned. Management needs to be overhauled.
Since reopening after covid-19, the gym staff has changed considerably for the worse in terms of their attitudes and helpfulness. Often times as I walk in and say good morning/afternoon to the young lady sitting at the front desk, she will not even look up from her phone, same on the way out. When a suggestion is made as to safety or issues, staff will just nod their head and then go back to what theyre doing. Further, there are usually folks working out not wearing masks, which the gym staff informed me is within their policy so long as they stay six feet away from others.
Nice people, clean place. They do a good job of making people follow protocols too, without being over the top.
Its okay, clean and the people are polite.
Jerome is awesome!! Super kind. The best trainer at LA fitness. Takes his time to explain things and pushes you hard. Come see him!!
Always busy there’s no paper towel in Saturday afternoon I went to clean the equipment I want to use and weights in equipment folks don’t returned them back it’s disgusting, I would drive more miles to other locations but not mockingbird👎🏿👎🏿
Nice facility and lots of equipment
Ive been to numerous LA Fitnesses across TX, AR and TN, and this gym has the most self-involved members of them all. Im talking about LOUD cell phone conversations, hoarding two machines at once, and singing along (badly) with their air pods for everyone to hear. I rarely see anyone else with their own towel, either (see photo). Its a shame, because the layout is quite spacious and there is good variety among the machines (altho cardio is limited to matrix). This is a location to avoid during peak hours for sure.
For starters, it is not worth the money unless youre going 4-6 times a week (they will try to get you on a 12 or 6 month contract, I only tried it for a month, but if you do the math its not worth it). I was initially offered a specific promotion, only to find out later that the rate was higher than I had originally anticipated. Cleaning of equipment during business hours is definitely a responsibility of the members, the facility overall is safe and with a good selection of equipment. Additionally, staff and members are respectful. However, I HIGHLY discourage anyone considering personal training to even try to free consultation at this specific location; one of the trainers placed a tremendous amount of pressure on me to hire his services, to the point he was making me and my company at the time uncomfortable to sit across from him by the end of the meeting.
Really great work out this a.m. super clean gym. One guy with his mask not covering his face. Every time he came close to me I just moved. With 50 people wearing mask why does on persons refuse to follow guidelines.
This gym has NO SOAP in the showers, constantly had DIRTY locker rooms and showers and staff doesn’t care. NASTY place, avoid !!!! Staff is really RUDE! This place needs to be SHUTDOWN by the HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Not sure why everyone seems to be complaining about the cleanliness here. They appear to do a good job at keeping the place clean and disinfected, but much more importantly enforcing mask wearing which is what really appears to matter. They have a HUGE amount of nice equipment, a great layout, friendly staff, and a nice environment for working out. I know all this COVID-19 stuff is scaring the living hell out of all of us, and rightly so. But this is a safe gym to workout at with all the measures they’ve put in place, and I think unfairly harped on for a global pandemic and their response to it. If you’re scared, I get it. A lot of us are scared these days. If you don’t want to exercise at a gym around others, I also get it. But don’t go bagging on a business trying to do their best under unprecedented circumstances. Given all that’s going on, they’re doing a fantastic job of things.
The club is not different from others in this membership price range. What different though is people.Kudos to Andrew! He goes above and beyond in his dedication to excellent customer service. In this uncertain era of COVID he keeps composure and positive attitude.LA Fitness leadership, Andrew is the leader you want at every location. I recommend to give him a raise and have him train other employees at your other locations if you want to be different from competitors and win the client.P.S. I hope you have a very good insurance plan that covers your employees from day one.
Over the past year there were two instances where a LA Fitness team member has gone above and beyond assisting me. I neglected to ask for a name the first go-around, but today made a point of asking. Keegan was more than kind in resolving my most recent issue! The two combined experiences is what establishes loyalty. Thank you Keegan!
Great gym
-CancellationJoined LA because Ive been with them in the past. Im originally from WA and I have never experienced poor customer service ever. I figured joining LA again would continue to preserve this dynamic plus the confidence of a streamlined organization. I signed up for the multi-state/ signature clubs membership band. I genuinely was planning to keep this membership indefinitely and use it when I relocate as well. Despite the good customer service that I received from Andrew and Dominique, I was very nervous that cancellation would not be executed appropriately (per reviews reflection), had I not dealt with these two directly. This decision was accumulated from the others comments about how they experienced significant obstacles with respect to their cancellation attempts. Therefore, I only cancelled my gym membership because I could only trust that Dominique the Operations manager would follow through and do it correctly/ethically. I was so lucky that she was able to help me and I even contemplated earlier but chose to stay longer because she was so nice and personable. However, I finally had to cancel my membership because who knows if she gets transferred or something in the future etc. I will be resigning up for LA Fitness in WA state with a facility that I have a better history/confidence level. The reason for the 3 stars is that I had called back with some follow up questions. However, the customer service I received from a male there was condescending and greatly reflects that service is a not prioritize. Customers doing business with an organization doesnt truncate once theyve concluded. The biggest marketing leads/trust building tool is always word of mouth and personal referrals. The handling of such an exit experience is truly disappointing. I truly hope leadership reference Andrew and Dominique for how to model better business Acumen. These little observations may seem minute and small however when capitalized it impacts the bottom line. I was a customer willing to pay but significantly deterred from the feedback of other members. My advice to the senior leadership is to see the interrelation between service and sales and recognize that these are not mutually exclusive concepts.
This gym is pretty small but it has everything that you need. The staff are friendly and the equipment is always clean.
I’ve been a member for about 2 years and this club consistently disappoints. Parking is tough during busy times, the cardio machines are ancient for the most part and many are often broken. Swimming isn’t pleasant since they don’t have backstroke flags or any kind of timer in the pool room. Locker rooms smell bad, and when I talked to one of their managers he said they were actively doing renovations and buying new equipment. That was 3 months ago and all they’ve done is repaint the walls and replace about 8 cardio machines. There are better gyms close by.
Nice equipment, clean locker rooms, friendly environment, helpful staff.
They are doing a good job of keeping the gym clean. They are also making sure that people are wearing their mask.
Clean gym and friendly staff. Love lifting here.
They keep it nice and clean.
My favorite gym. It’s always clean and the staff is always friendly.
All I can say is Hoist Rules. Congrats to LA Fitness for upgrading to the Hoist line of the most scientifically advanced weight training system. If you think working out is drudgery, its because you never tried Hoist, which makes working out fun. I lift harder and longer without the excruciating pain in my joints on this playground equipment. Thanks LA Fitness, keep up the good work.
I have been working with Pro Results trainers Jerome Caguioa and Chris Haskins for less than a month, abouth 3 and a half weeks and I have already lost 20lbs. I started at 309 and already dropped to 290. These are great trainers and they get the job done! Jusy stick with it!
👍
Stopped by for a one-day pass when my flight was stuck in Dallas for 8 additional hours (what better way to pass the time than get a good workout in) And I can no say enough nice things about the gym. The staff so helpful and so nice. The facility was very clean, they had a pool, and a nice properly hot sauna. I also saw one of their group classes going on and it looked super funIf I lived in the area I would absolutely join this gym! Thanks for making my layover not suck :)
This location has great equipment, either they just renovated it or it’s new. I’ve only been going to this location a year and a half, Euless was my old location and it’s also new.Chase, the manager, always remembers my and my friends names. Really great guy who helps you out whenever you need. All the staff here are really personable, actually.
This is a great gym with new equipment and recently remodeled. The personal training is great. I have been training with Max for several months now. He provides great coaching and has pushed me to new levels in my fitness. I highly recommend this gym and the personal training they offer.
Ive been going here for years. They updated the place about a year ago and put in some new equipment that I really like. A lot less broken equipment then there used to be so that is really nice. My only complaint is that they never seem to clean the floor. Its really nasty around the machines. Dirt, hair and loads of dust! Yuck
UPDATE: I called Corporate and asked what they could do to make the situation right. Nothing happened. After I filed a BBB review though, someone from Corporate called me back and offered to fix the problem. Increased the rating by one since the gym itself deserves 3 stars.---Original review:The gym location is usually pretty great but I encountered some bait and switch issues with my membership agreement. Told the sales associate I travel frequently and need access to any location regardless of level. He signed me up for a different membership level that does not have access to all locations. I did not notice it until 6 months later since the folks at the Signature locations I frequent did not say anything. In the rare case that someone in management does read this, here are a few suggestions to improve this specific LA Fitness location:-As some reviewers have mentioned, provide some training to the sales staff to tone down the aggressiveness and to the front desk to improve customer service. These are the only staff most people interact with and it sets the tone for the rest of the gym.-My wife did not join my account due to the lack of options on the class schedule. Could use a refresh and some classes that are competitive to the Dallas market.-Have some targeted events or implement ways for customers to feel like this location is their gym. Right now it feels very sanitized and corporate.-A filtered water station for water bottles would be a big help, or at least double check the water fountains to make sure they produce cold water
THE NEW RENOVATION IS AWESOME!!!The staff is very friendly and helpful. The trainers are always encouraging and hands on helpful. I LOVE THIS GYM!During the renovation we were encouraged to use the LA Fitness Signature gym up the road, it was nice but I really missed MY gym.
I have been a member at LA for about 16 months and have always recommended it to friends and family. When my location in Grapevine closed, I started coming here and everything was fine. The location was renovated and the machines are well kept.Unfortunately, my experience when bringing a friend was so awful that I am planning to cancel my membership and go somewhere else. I have never brought a guest before but decided to sign my friend up for the VIP Pass so he could try that location. Upon arrival, I informed them that I signed him up for the pass and they called over the manager. Before even asking for his ID, the manager asked what gym my friend went to and if he planned to join LA. When my friend said he didn’t plan on joining that day, the manager denied him the pass I already signed him up for, said I had to pay $15, and walked away.We decided to walk out after how he spoke to us. Obviously, this was completely unprofessional and profoundly rude. I’ve always been a loyal customer and to be treated this way made me uncomfortable to the point where I no longer feel welcome there. I hope in the future they consider taking a more professional approach to these situations or simply stop offering the passes online if they are not real.
Lost 28 lbs in here and built new gains
Not practicing safe social distancing, dirty equipment, people not wearing masks at all, won’t cancel or refund membership for lack of care and complete negligence for immune compromised members. Absolutely disgusting treatment of people.
Is LA Fitness Going Broke? Second time in 2 days I have gone to the restroom and no TOILET PAPER! Is it to much to ask that LA Fitness keep the bathrooms stocked? Its bad enough they have worn out facilities but no TOILET PAPER IS UNACCEPTABLE!I PAY MY MEMBERSHIP PLEASE SPEND SOME MONEY FOR SOME TOILET PAPER!I have been a member of LA Fitness for a several years. I hate this gym. It is always dirty! They open late and the staff is RUDE! The closest competitor is 5 miles away so I an stuck! SOMEONE PLEASE OPEN A NICE GYM IN MY AREA AND I WILL GIVE YOU MY BUSINESS . If you like working out in an over priced dirty gym with a cloudy pool and disgusting wet area this place is for you! However if you like a tidy gym where you can always find the equipment without a search of the entire facility and enjoy polite people then you need to go somewhere else.
I have been a member here for six months now, and overall I’ve been pleased with the experience. The gym has a good variety of equipment in great condition and it never gets excessively busy. It’s as clean as any other gym I’ve been to and the staff is friendly. It could use more water fountains or bottle filling stations, and the group fitness class schedule is sparse. I was also hit with a $50ish annual fee a few months into my membership that was never mentioned to me when I initially signed up. Sadly, you come to expect these hidden fees with large corporate gyms. But my experience has been good enough that I didn’t fight it or find it a reason to leave.
Will not let you cancel your membership, ever... Im a month into trying to cancel this thing. Ive converted to 24 hour fitness which has been much better (less money as well). Overall, the way they treat customers only shows when you try to leave.I moved to 24 because it will be closer to where I live now. I wouldve considered going back to an LA, say I moved back to where an LA is closer. But this experience makes me want to never return. I know in the grand scheme of things LA doesnt care if they lose my $30 bucks a month, but I hope I can caution anyone who doesnt already know about LAs sketchy history.Ill be filing a complaint with the BBB and talking to my credit card company soon enough.
Clean, safely distanced, sanitized.
I started my gym routine again and previously frequented 24 Hour Fitness. I ended up switching because their gyms are always messy. This gym is not at all like 24 Hour Fitness. Each location Ive been to has been cleaner than the average gym. Their equipment is also up to date and working. What more could you ask for?
Staff is rude, trainers are a joke. Showers are disgusting, and people don’t clean up after themselves.Don’t go here unless you’re forced to due to location.
I went to work out and see what the new renovation looked like at the Mockingbird location. Renovation consisted of new flooring only in some areas and some new equipment. However, I left way before I finished my workout due to 2 inconsiderate guys dropping 310 lbs on a dead lift bar. Very quickly in repeated lifts, very annoying the constant pounding, and loudly too. Signs say Do Not Drop Weights due to safety. I asked an employee at the desk if they could nicely ask them to not just drop that kind of heavy weight that it was very distracting. He told me he really couldnt.Point being? Ill NEVER go back to this location Again! I doubt these inconsiderate ones are going to act respectful to other members trying to get their workout in too. Haskell a Signature Club will be my more respectful place from now on!.Bye bye Mockingbird!!
Ive been a member of this gym for over 10 yrs. I enjoy the staff, they are friendly and very helpful. The trainers and I have become friends and they are always willing to answer any questions concerning exercises, nutrition and supplements. The new renovation is definitely a major plus.I love this gym and proud to be a member here.
Good selection of free weights. Peak hours can get pretty packed, though.
Ive had a membership here for years. They just have a tough time keeping the place really spotless. Besides equipment working/good classes -> cleanliness is a key ingredient. Im a swimmer, the lap pools the entire reason I go to lafitnes. I have to shower there. Needs to be spotless or I get grossed out. They are consistently mediocre in cleanliness.
Customer service is amazing! I had a slight issue(which was my fault) and the Operational Manager did an awesome job of handling the situation professionally and in a timely manner. Theyve just received a few new machines and thats exciting. I love this club.Ive read some of the comments in this thread and people are going to be people. Some of them just hate their lives thats why they post incognizant comments. If you complain about parking its because yourejust lazy. Theres parking all around there. Maybe not right at the front door. But the parking lot is huge. Its not cool to bring people down just because your life is going down hill.Nobody cares about your whining.(smile)Have a blessed day!!!
I’ve been working out here for about 6 weeks now. I signed up with a personal trainer when I decided to get back into working out. It’s been the biggest help. Not only do I get a great workout when I am with my trainer (Max) but he also sends me motivation texts on the days when I’m not seeing him. He also has helped me with a meal plan. I’ve already lost about 12 lbs and am definitely getting stronger. The gym is a great location. Always clean and everyone who works there is nice and friendly. Great gym and even better trainer!
I work out in the AMs and the cleanliness of the gym is the worst I’ve seen for an LA fitness! If there was a closer gym to me I’d go somewhere else. This location is the least cleanly that I’ve experienced and I’ve been with LA Fitness for almost 8 years. It is really disappointing. I’ve let management know months ago and nothing has improved to make the AM gym goers experience improve. It would be nice if the cleaning crew cleaned at closing time or right before opening in the common areas especially. The trash is always full, the equipment and mats are covered in sweat. The womens restrooms are always out of toilet paper, the showers have hair everywhere and there always seems to be make up residue all over the counters.
No masks. In peak covid, management is sitting grouped at the entrance and not enforcing a mask policy.I write this from inside the gym. There countless people on the upper levels withouthmasks..There is no apparent cleaning of the equipment.
I work out here 5 times a week and the staff is always congenial and pleasant. Even when their internet service was out they kept the gym open for business and kept the quality of service high as usual.
Not very impressed, the gym is nice, be aware of some hiding charges when you book with them. signing fee, then you got annual fee 2 months after that no one will let you know. and one of the guys who help my friend to sign in, RUDE, my friend decide to go to other gym .not impressed so far
Nice Gym love the staff except one of the staff members or trainers a girl with blonde spikey Hair is so rude and feels as if the clients she trains are above everyone else. I would have given 5 stars. But she’s the only reason I didn’t.
The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is not intimidating, and the members are welcoming. This is the only gym Ive been able to stick to. Love this place!
Closed for 10 days for a refresh. Supposedly deep clean done. Not done very well. New equipment brought in. Did not try out yet. Primarily go for pool.
No gym is perfect - I have belonged to private gyms, Golds, 24 hour and now LA Fitness (I have moved a good bit). this gyms is pretty well equipped, clean and the staff is pleasant. Yes - like most of these clubs they do want to sell you a plan and certainly personal training (I think its the business model). I have been working out for one year with Jim W - he can be tough and stays focused on training - but he does get great results. No gym is perfect - but this one is pretty good.
I’m from Dallas and I workout at the Mockingbird location. That place is junk. The only reason I go is because it’s convenient to my work and home. Numerous times I’ve worked out and there is not one paper towel in the locker room or at the weights. How are people suppose to wipe down the machines? Every weekend the men’s locker is so nasty and junky I want to throw up. I can’t believe they let clients even walk around in that place and think it’s safe. I literally leave trash I certain places to see if they will clean it. Most times it sits there for over a week or more. One time I went and the bathroom stall door fell off the hinges and landed on me. That was after it took them close to 3 weeks or maybe longer to fix all the stall doors. I got an apology for it and said they would clean the place better. Haha! Just a couple of weeks later the bathrooms were so nasty I couldn’t believe. So I get call again to apologize for the mess how they are going to fix it. Same routine as last time. The girl in the front desks said they don’t have enough employees. That’s not my fault. I would be embarrassed if I owned this place. I wish I could post the photos of last weekend on here.
Run down equipment. When you try and cancel, you can only do it in person from 9-5 M-F. But you can sign up any day, anytime. Its like dealing with the Cable Company!
The girl at the front desk didnt know where the lockers were. Said it was her first day. Not blaming her....management...if no time for training maybe at least a tour for new hires...Also bathroom area could be cleaner.
I visit all the gyms and every single one is great
Clean and friendly staff.
One of the smaller LA Fitness. If you get there around 3pm to 6pm its a challenge to get to the equipment to get your workout in, its like wait til someone finish. This club need more space & equipment with the amount of guest that come in.
Small location but it does the job. Staff were friendly.
This is my place to be after work, I liked it at first but ever since the all new remodel I love it. Very nice change, always perfect work outs.
Nice enough LA, but it is a smaller one with not as much equipment that you would see in other LAs. Being smaller, it is difficult to get your workout done as planned during busy times. Weights are upstairs which makes it feel smaller with the lower ceiling.
I’ve been a member of LA Fitness since 2009 and began my fitness journey at your Dallas - Mockingbird location. Since then I’ve moved to a different area of Dallas and started to frequent another location. Fast forward to January 2018...I am now back at the Mockingbird location given that it’s more convenient to workout after work, and the gym is consistently disgusting (specifically the men’s restroom). A friend of mine spoke with the manager about the conditions and a few temporary improvements were made. Today, the restroom was completely horrendous. The entire restroom smells of urine. The toilets are either clogged or out of paper; and today the toilet seats were actually removed completely. Gyms are a breeding ground for germs and bacteria and the conditions of the restrooms certainly make me uneasy. This is a prime location with lots of traffic! The subpar conditions of the gym and equipment are causing you all lost revenue I’m sure. There is so much potential that I would love to help you all improve. Your customers are paying for a gym service and cleanliness. Most people are complaining on a daily basis and I finally feel it is time to see some action. I would rather smell bleach there smell the mixture of sweat, body odor and urine. Please help!!!!
In all reality this gyms hours would have to squeeze into your daily routine very tightly. Then when you finally realize that you find yourself going to your apartment gym more often that your paid membership and you try to cancel it they will do all they can to make you not cancel it going as far as to lying to the customers and telling them the manager has to be on duty to cancel a membership. Are you kidding me ?! Thats a joke! Will be warning everyone about this company. Oh and in order to cancel you have to be present inside a location it cannot be done over the phone or online...
I have recently come to LA Fitness with a friend. I live in Florida, so I didnt have a membership. Although I may be moving to Dallas or at least spending half of my time there, I wanted to check out a gym that has flexible membership restrictions. I was greeted nicely by the front desk staff but they werent sure how to handle the situation since I am from out of town. One of you managers or sales stepped in to see if he could help resolve the situation. His name is Ethan Wood. Since I was only in town for 4 days, he gave me a 3 day pass and said enjoy the gym and when you come back into town I will help to work out a type of membership for you. He was extremely welcoming and professional. I had a chance to see what a great facility you have and was impressed by both the atmosphere and the variance of equipment. When I move to Dallas I will definately join LA Fitness primarily because Ethan made me feel welcome and made it possible for me to experience your product. That flexibility is why I will join LA Fitness. Dwight Garris
Even though its busy its still a great gym to go get a quick and hard workout in! Clean, managed very well, and everybody is passionate about their jobs! This is what I like to see!
I used a guest pass this week and had a less than desirable experience with the staff. The guy who gave me the tour of the facility consistently degraded my current exercise plan/studio in attempts to persuade me. When I told him at the end of my workout that I would still need some time to consider, he was incredibly rude and arrogant. The equipment itself was sufficient, but I cant justify giving money to a gym with a rude staff.
New and clean. Wish they had more universal machines. Evenings are pretty crowded.
Equipment accessories are limited
Great location. Brand new cycles, pool, hot tub, and saunas... the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. In terms of weights and classes they have everything you need and more!
LADIES BEWARE. I was dressing in the shower room when I heard a male voice “ladies! janitor! are you dressed!?” I yelled, “No!” Loudly. He walked right back to that shower and asked if there were any swimsuits in the showers because another woman reported she left one. I was wearing only a bra from the waist up, which I got on just in the nick of time. I went to the front desk, and I told him and the other 5 employees standing there what happened and that I’m not coming back because they should have sent a woman. The manager apologized and said he was short staffed on women, though there were two at the front desk. He said, “Let me know if there is anything I can do for you?” I said, “Keep an eye on him!” Before I had left the bathroom, I asked 3 women in the sauna and one in the dressing area if they had seen this man, and they had, so there are several witnesses. I rarely post negative reviews, but this was uncommonly bad, and I would want my younger sister or any young woman to know.
The gym is near the airport so it’s cool for my little ones to watch the ✈️ go by.Compared to other gyms, in the area, it’s cleaner and loved the childcare.Children have a variety of toys to play with, compared to other locations. There are activities such as magnets and puzzles attached to the wall.In the middle of the room; there is a large area with animals bolted to the ground, to crawl under and climb on. This allows children to be psychically active rather than “glued to a chair”and watching tv, like at other locations. The staff at the front desk are usually snobby and are definitely not diligent. The locker rooms and bathrooms are not always the cleaniest. However, the childcare and the members are pleasant and keep me going back.
Great gym for the price but I wish more patrons would re-rack their weights and follow other proper gym etiquette.
Good job at keeping place clean. Also happy they got cables back. Gets crowded sometimes. Little hot too.
The equipment could be repaired faster, but it gets a lot of use. Overall friendly staff and atmosphere. A lot of people serious about their work out.
Typically very busy at peak hours, there are also almost always broken machines making it difficult to get an elliptical or treadmill at times. The front staff is very unhelpful and often rude. Has a variety of classes, and at very reasonable hours. Weights are located upstairs with ellipticals and treadmills downstairs, which is annoying for when people slam weights down.
Its the little things that make a gym different. Ultimately, most gyms are the same. Variety of equipment, relatively clean, etc. What makes you notice a gym is the little things.Want to lock the stall youre using the bathroom in? Literally every lock has been broken for 8 months.Want to use sanitizer after using equipment? 3/4 of all sanitizer machines are broken or out.Want a water bottle filler that even the rec center or ymca has? They have water fountains from 1980.Toilet paper? Optional. But remember, they just spent a fortune renovating what used to be classes to charge you for HIT, the new high energy class that is extra moneys.Just know the devils are in the details. They dont much care about those details.
A good gym but when it was time to cancel because I needed to move, they were super weird. I tried to cancel at the gym three times and there was always a reason why I couldn’t cancel that day. Finally had to call the corporate office and they did it in 5 minutes. Bad business practices.
This is a basic gym (nothing fancy) with an extremely convenient in-town location between Oak Lawn and Preston Hollow. It is rarely crowded although I try to avoid going between 4 pm and 7 pm to avoid the after-work folks.I prefer morning workouts anyway. You rarely have to wait for any weight machine or aerobic device.
