Excellent service and price. Definitely worth going there for all your granite and quartz needs
I had an absolutely terrible experience with Stone City.I was actually driving around Dallas looking for a granite/quartz countertop company and stumble upon this company. Upon walking in we were met by a very friendly lady. However, everything was over promised and under delivered. She said that the quartz ran around $45/sq foot which I was shocked at that price but thought it was cheaper because they were wholesalers. I found the quartz I loved they said they would calculate and give me the price once they came my house and measured. We were on a strict timeline and said we needed it done within a week. They said they had all quartz on hand and that timeline would not be a problem at all. I should of known then that all these promises were too good to be true.We set up for the next day a lady named Myra would be coming out to measure my countertops. She came and brought different quartz to look at for the house but never came with stuff to measure my countertops! I was annoyed since we had a timeline and now we are pushed back another day because she didn’t bring the stuff to measure! The next day she comes and brings the stuff to measure our countertops. I asked if it still will be done within the next week and was promised that it would be. I get my quote back and the quartz the quartz I was quoted was $95 per sq foot. I was shocked that it was over double what the quoted me. She showed me similar quartz ranging $65-85 sq foot. ( Lowe’s had the same exact quartz for $71 per sq foot instead of $95)After some negotiations I ended up getting the quartz for $80 sq foot. Which is still no where close to what I was quoted when walking through the door. However, I still went with them since they told me they could get it completed by the timeline I needed. Myra stated they needed a deposit before they could get started so I went ahead and paid. The day after paying for my countertops they called and told me that they didn’t not have my quartz in stock and the closest place they could get them was Houston and it would be at least two more weeks until I could get them completed. ( I feel like they should of informed me of all this before paying.) After a few days of expressing my concerns she stated they would be going to Houston earlier to get my quartz but still would be a week longer than expected. Now two weeks go by and I finally get my countertops placed. I had paid for them to install my sink and connect the plumbing. Well after they left I noticed that my sink was leaking. I call Myra back and tell her it was leaking and she said she would have someone come back out to fix it. The next day I’m still waiting for someone to come back to fix the problem. I had no communication throughout the day at all. Then get a call at 4pm saying someone was at my house to fix the plumbing. I was over an hour away from my house and couldn’t get back to them soon. So was told they would be back soon to fix it.I had no communication from them for a week and was about to call a different plumber to fix my sink. However, a week and day later I get a call from Myra saying they would be back to fix my sink today from 12-1pm. Well they show up at 10am and fix the sink. Yay. However, one last thing. While they were fixing the sink one of the men asked to use the bathroom. I of course allowed him to. After, they left this is what I walk into. Pee on the commode and floor. Really?!If I could give zero stars I would. They over promised and under delivered on so many accounts. They lacked on communication with their customer and obviously do not respect their clients home. I would look for a different company to use.
