I have been in Dallas for about a year, and had been traveling to Cedar Hill area to get my son and my haircut. I discovered KPs Barber Lounge is literally across the street from my apartment just last week. Stopped by yesterday to check it out and to see if they serviced women too. The door says appointment only. I prepared to take down the number in order to book and KP opened the door. I explained what I was looking for and he told me that I would never need to go to Cedar Hills again. He offered me a 2:30PM appointment for the same day.I returned at that time, and from the moment I entered this beautifully upscale barbershop(like nothing I have ever seen or experienced). KP makes you feel welcomed. He has only one seat, so you as a customer dont feel rushed, or neglected. The aesthetics/décor is brilliant and the soft music of the Isley Brothers etc... play in the background while KP skillfully offers great conversation, and the skill of an experienced barber. He also knows how to create an ambiance, and creates a space that feels very much like community!I am new to fading my hair and he explained to me the process that we would go through to train my hair. I loved my cut and my family even said that it was the best that I have had to date!So in short, this was not just a haircut, but an experience. It was as I said, a professional space, that offered great service, and a feeling of welcome. It took a year to find my barber, but I feel like it was well worth the wait. Im from Chicago so you know I am particular about my Barber...its a special relationship and I have been to about 3 shops since my move to Dallas. KPs shop is AMAZING. I love that its his own personal spot. Allows for more attention to detail. As far as the cut, he did a damn good job. He was quick too. Good communication on what I wanted and checked afterwards on how I liked it. Anyone that has an issue with the time frame that he gets you in for an appointment needs to chill out. If 1 person is late, that pushes EVERYTHING back. Be flexible. I think I found my barber! Precciate the haircut KP!!

The owner is completely unprofessional. He has no customer service skills and tends to catch an attitude real quick. I called the establishment twice. The first call I asked for a beard clean up and the cost, and the owner referred me to the website/ Facebook page to find that info. Hung up. I found the FB page but nothing on there was helpful. The link on the FB page to the website was a broken link. I checked their yelp page and still nothing useful. So and hour and a half from the first call I called back a second time and asked if it was walk-in based or appointment only, just for clarification. He knew it was me from earlier and was upset that I was calling back and said in a angry tone, “didn’t you call earlier. You’re asking me the same question, again?” So I corrected and said “I asked about beard trims.” He got even more upset and said, “you’re asking a million questions, I told you it’s on my website.” I corrected him, AGAIN, by informing him that that website isn’t working, his FB and yelp page aren’t useful. He started yelling and I hung up.How do you except to grow your business and bring in new clients when you can’t even answer simple questions? Lastly it’s 2018, if you want you business to succeed, I suggest better digital marketing (i.e. get an actual website, develop a social media presence, put useful info on your Facebook, Google, and yelp page so you’re not inconvenienced again by someone asking simple questions.

Tried to get a haircut today and I asked how long the wait he next week. With no remorse of how he treated a customer with money in his pocket. I will never go there again and will tell everyone I know not to either. Just poor customer service.

Owner was unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment for 2pm, i was still waiting at 2:15pm while he finished cutting his prior client. The owner did not greet me or introduce himself when i walked in. No apology for not being on schedule. I asked if i could come back when he finished with his current client his response was he couldnt hold my spot,(mind you he was late). He stated he didnt care because i was the one who needed a haircut. This was My first and last time attempting to go to this business. He also had a potential client on speaker phone whom he was also rude to about scheduling an appointment at 4pm. After completing his call he continued with a disrepectful comment and cursed about the clients indecisiveness. His business is appointments only. Lol i had to leave and get away from this clown.
