Firstly here are some shots of the outside and inside for reference of anyone looking for this location. It is on 9th street in Corvallis, OregonI’ve always had good service at The Barbers in Corvallis. From entering to paying it’s always a smooth process. My last service I had Alyssa cut my hair. She has 10+ years of barber experience and got my fade to look amazing. Had some cool tricks on layering and blending. I will be back to see her. I appreciate all the friendly faces at The Barbers. My suggestion would be to call in the morning to get scheduled in cause those spots go fast!

Having a sign that reads walk-in will give people the idea that walk-in appointments are welcome. I can understand being stressed by a busy day full of appointments, however, the tone and attitude of one of the barbers was inappropriate and unprofessional. I will not return.

I have nothing but good things to say about this barber shop. All of the stylists are super nice and I’ve always been super happy with my haircuts. I go to Ryan to cut my hair- he’s the first person that has ever given me motivation to change my hairstyle, and he really knows what he’s doing. I recommend anyone in the Corvallis area to get an appointment here! Everyone is great, but I highly recommend Ryan and Emily.

Ive been to several barbers here in Benton and Linn counties over the past years and Jolie is the best that Ive come across! The atmosphere at the Barbers is positive and relaxing. They cut great hair but its a bit expensive but so worth it. I would recommend visiting this barber.

Scheduling proved to be very important, I tried to walk-in and was turned away and asked to call and make an appointment tomorrow. Once I got an appointment I was very happy with the service I received and associated costs. Shout out to my barber Staci, great cut!

Very hit or miss, and with haircuts thats just not good enough. Got a really good haircut here, then that stylist left and I got back to back the two worst cuts of my life, not going back.

Ami is a fantastic barber. No stress and easy work, she does a great job on the fade and natural look of what your hair needs even down to what product would be best. Id only go to her.

Usually very good, occasionally its ok. But we never book with the same person and give them a chance to get to know my husbands/sons hair pattern/texture/callics etc. We just take whos available so you get what you get. Overall would recommend! Their top level cut is spendy but worth it(according to my husband) I believe it comes with a wash, a hot neck towel and straight shave and neck massage

They have taken care of me father-in-law who has dementia for several months now and have been SO patient and accommodating. Great haircuts, great experience overall. So happy they are here!

Getting a haircut in the age of covid is no easy feat but Rabbit was professional and funny and it put me right at ease right away. Will definitely be returning again. If you’ve been waiting to get a haircut, definitely give The Barbers a try.

Emily McQ did an exceptional job on my hair today. She was kind and personable which made my experience so much better. She gave me some incredible information on how to take better care of my curls.

Its has been forever since Ive been to a barber in this age of COVID19, and it has to one if the best experience. The staff are very thorough and clean. Friendly as well. They also did an amazing job on my beard as well, even with the restrictions they have to follow. 10/10 will go back

To be concise, The Barbers is a fun and very professional outfit with a variety of talented stylists that are each in their own right very accommodating and enjoyable to have fix up your hair. Between that, the fair pricing, and all the extras they are willing to add like a neck shave and a couple other complimentary services you would be hard pressed to find a place as good at the same price. 5/5

Everyone here is very friendly. High end, professional salon with a for dudes vibe (pool table, sports on TV) thats unnecessary but everyone just plays along. Prices are very reasonable considering the talent.

Worst fades ever. Tried giving this shop a couple chances, but every time I go in for a fade they chop it up and do a horrible job. I always ask the barber before they cut if they know how to do a proper fade, they always say they do, but they don’t. The transition between different shades(hair length) is very noticeable and totally goes against what a proper fade should look like. They should really stop telling their customers they know how to fade. Or hire someone who does.Other than the haircut the service is usually pretty good.

Great staff. Lauren is really lovely. Shes been doing my hair for several months, and Ive always been happy with the results. I miss this barber shop now that Ive moved to another city.

Haircut and employees are great! 5 stars. They need another store near campus. My favorite place in town and I have not been able to get my haircut there in 3 months because of the wait time. My son and I have left without a haircut after waiting for 2 hours multiple times. Sports clip across the street is better at communicating times to the customers. Hope another store opens.

Jolie was so fantastic with my two grandsons! she talked them right through their haircuts with super hero powers. great cuts, they look adorable. they loved getting popcorn and a lollipop after their cuts...nice treat for a 3 and 4 year old. we took her card and we will be back. my nephew also gets his hair cut there and he recommended it.

Brought my boys here for the first time and I was kinda freaking out a little because Im very picky and were driving 16 hours to my sons wedding, so their haircut had to be perfect!!!!!! The best part was that my boys LOVED !!!!! They hate getting hairc

The people are mostly friendly, but the business itself isnt that customer friendly. I tried scheduling an appointment a couple days ahead, as i need to plan carefully being a college student, which they wouldnt allow, then i tried calling 2 hours ahead of time, and they told me it can only be an hour ahead, so now Im sitting for a 3 hour wait, because 2 hours ahead was too much for them to handle. Ive been a loyal customer since the place opened, and the thanks i get is a big middle finger.

The guy cutting my hair spent less than 20 minutes cutting it, no fade should ever take less than 20 minutes. It looks terrible too, it doesnt even look like a proper fade. I honestly knew something was up the second he started cutting and I shouldve left and gone somewhere else. I put part of the blame on myself though, cause I know better than to go to a corporate barber shop. I still feel like I need a haircut. I dont understand how this place has 4 1/2 stars.

14 years ago was the last time I went to a barber shop. Its a long story I cant talk about it here. My barber was out of town and I was desperate. My hair looked like shaggy from Scooby Doo .Then I stumbled upon this place. I was met with a friendly hello and I told them what I wanted. They got it done to perfection. She goes by the name of Jolie. Beautiful green eyes btw. Thanks

I will no longer be going to The Barbers. For the second time today I walked out because despite having a scheduled appointment, I was not seen within a reasonable time. The first time I waited 45 minutes and then told them I was leaving. Today, the second time, I checked in 5 minutes before my appointment. I was told that I the individual cutting my hair was finishing, and I would been seen any minute. 30 minutes later somebody asked me if I had checked in. During this time I had watched somebody finish a cut, clean up, and then wander around. I watched another finish a cut and then spend 15 minutes cleaning and restocking a station. I watched a third individual wander around and randomly clean or organize things.It is important to note that the real issue here was that they stated repeatedly to walk-ins that they are super busy, but yet that didnt seem to be the case. To make it worse, nobody even checked in with me, and when I was asked if I had even checked in it made me realize that they saw me there and it took 30 minutes for somebody to care if I had even been spoken to. This is not at all acceptable.

Great place, super nice environment, and while Im not a stickler about my hair considering I have know terms or anything for how I like my hair, each different person seems to be intuitive enough to get it where i want it, Shoutout to Alyssa Shelfer also! I gave her almost no direction, but she got me on point, shes also good conversation to keep you comfortable =).

Travis was rad as hell. Not only was he very personable, but it being my first trip in, he made me feel at home and didnt make me embarrassed by the tumble weed that was growing on my scalp. Very much recommended, as the atmosphere makes this barber shop feel more like a place youd want to visit than a place you go to maintain your hair.

Ive never written a review for anything before, but I feel almost obligated to tell people to avoid the blonde woman with tattoos. She gave me the worst haircut Ive ever had. I have always gotten my hair cuts from The Barbers (at a different location) and they do a great job. Im sure this location has other great barbers, just stay away from her. This isnt the only bad review she has on here.

Really nice and comfortable place to come and enjoy the sports setting.Stephanie is always ready and cuts my hair perfectly every time I come in.I wear breathing equipment at my work and it gives my hair flat and circular spots to deal with. This is a very neat place. You can have popcorn, a can of soda, and play a game of pool while you wait. They also have plenty of tvs tuned into the sports channels.

My absolute favorite place to get my hair done. They have complimentary soda and popcorn while you wait, and after years of trying every salon in town, this is the best one for sure. Even if the sports bar aesthetic isnt your thing (certainly isnt mine), the haircut is quick, efficient, and comfortable. Their communication is good and theyre LBGT friendly in my experiences. They offer a shoulder massage at the end as well, and their prices are quite fair. 10/10 would recommend

I have been here several times and I have never gotten a haircut that I was happy with. The staff is always pleasant, and they have great hours, which makes it convenient, but their cuts are $21 and definitely not worth it. Their barbers seem inexperienced and basic and they can be pretentious, yet youre paying salon prices.Im going to make more of an effort to make it to Mels on Circle when theyre open. Much better haircut and environment for half the price.

Great place to get a haircut

Good service and a nice touch allowing you to pick who you want to cut your hair. They can do some fancier cuts and more advanced techniques. The atmosphere is also perfect for any manly-man but isnt overwhelming for anyone who isnt. Overall I am very happy with the final product and the price wasnt much more than some other places Ive been that havent even been good haircuts. Definitely a place to check out.

I have been going here for about 6-7 months now an I have always been extremely happy with the hair cuts. The back massage that you get afterwards is always nice as well. There is one barber that stands above the rest though. An his name is Travis. This man can give the best hair cut I have seen! No joke, thanks Travis you have a loyal customer from now on. I will be telling everyone bout this place

The Barbers has a great environment and everyone is super nice. Had a great time with my stylist but I felt like she was rushing me out of the chair. I also left and looked in the mirror to find Im missing half a sideburn that was trimmed on one side but not the other, theres a few chunks of hair that werent cut behind my ear (that i have now cut myself), there was no shoulder massage included and I had to pay to get my neck shaved (this should definitely be included in a haircut especially if youre shaving the hair directly above the neck. it is a service included in all other salons with no extra charge). Overall good environment but not worth risking my hair so I wont be returning.

Kim did a great job for my hair cut. Beautifully faded, nicely edged, and well shampooed and massaged. Highly recommend place to go for a cut. They got a billiard table and a pop corn machine while you wait.

Ive been going to this shop for a couple of years, and they always did a good job cutting my hair, but mostly done by seemingly bored barbers with the basic routine chit chat. Last visit had hair done by someone who was outgoing and fun to talk to, and it made for a really enjoyable experience

I have never left a bad review. The girl that cut my sons hair ( has a tattoo of a tree on her arm ) literally disregarded what we asked. I actually stopped her to say that is not the cut we want. Then she continued the same way. At the end she left scratches up the back of my sons neck, bleeding scratches from the trimmer. Holy cow, literally the most insensitive, unprofessional barber I have ever seen. I strongly recommend doing business somewhere else.

The biggest pro is that this place caters to mens hair styles. The hair dressers know the lingo and can generally interpret what you want, which is not usually the case at chain walk-in salons. The big con here is that there is a huge difference in quality of work between different hair dressers. Find one who you trust and that understands your style, then this place will become essential to your routine!

Walked out with a terrible line on the back of my head that the barber didnt show me. Drove up to a barbers location in Portland where they agreed that it was completely unacceptable and they fixed my haircut.

Normally love this place, but I called ahead today to get my name on the list and after checking in was told it would be a 15 minute wait. It was over an hour until I was seen. Had I had known that I simply would have come back later.

Pretty cool interior. Some free popcorn or soda, didnt see bottled water. Had some great conversation with my stylist and I seriously love the cut.

Covid warning. Had to completely change my review after most recent visit. 3 of the stylist apparently do not believe on the Covid vaccine and recently 2 of them got Covid! How did I find this out? Was I told before one cut my sons hair who is to young to qualify for the vaccine? No! I was told as my hair was being cut AFTER his was done!Ask before you go if yours has it, ask if they have been exposed. How ironic that asks they ask you if youve been exposed before coming in, but do not tell you of an outbreak of their staff!Extremely disappointed and need to find alternatives for

Walked in for a cut and got one go the best haircuts Ive had in years. She was super friendly and cut it perfect. I tried great clips in Corvallis for the cut before and they were the worst. The barbers are super consistently good!

Great cuts at a fair price. Usually get the same stylist. Most are very social and have your hair done in no time. Love the added options of shaves, shampoos, and massages.

They have great barbers. There is also free sodas and popcorn for you while waiting. Although the wait is usually long, if you make an appointment in advance, it shouldnt be a problem.

I get the best haircuts here...and the staff is amazing!! The wait is usually long...sometimes over an hour so it is tough to get a haircut if you dont have a lot of time. Id come here more if they had more staff to handle the crowds.

I have gone here many times usually leaving quite satisfied. I went in a couple days ago, shortly after they opened for the day. It seemed pretty busy, there were two people ahead of me on the list. I dont recall they ladies name, I got when it was my turn but she seemed preoccupied with something. The whole haircut we didnt speak much. Not many questions about what I even wanted, not how I wanted the back or side burns or bangs. She never offered the works package, which is what I originally went in for. I must say Im rather disappointed with this visit. Maybe I just need to go later in the day, I have never been disappointed with those visits. It was $19.00 I should have spent elsewhere.Update: things have since been rectified

I have been constantly pleased with my haircuts, wait times have been reasonable when I have gone, and price reasonable as well. Doesnt feel cramped or like a cheap chain and has a nice enough atmosphere. If you go at a peak time there may be a wait, consider calling ahead to be put on the list.

I never get my hair cut anywhere else. Allways have a fresh fade when I leave this place. Its worth the wait!! But call a head if your in a rush!

We went in here Saturday and waited over an hour for someone to cut my 1-year-olds hair. When we put our name on the list she assured us they did toddler hair cuts and were prepared if he got upset. They took a couple of people from behind us in line and it seemed like they were putting off cutting his hair. Finally a woman called our name. She did not interact with my son at all. She didnt even look at him or talk to him when she approached him with an apron or clippers. He screamed, obviously. She did nothing at all to try and get him to stop crying. Like show him what she was putting against his head or anything. I showed her a picture of a prince George style haircut where the hair is longer on the top and sides. The first thing she did is buzzcut a big stripe up the side of his head. It was too late at that point to do much so I just asked her not to make it that short on top. so she didnt cut the top at all but buzz cut the sides in an uneven line. It looked like a weird bowl cut that I tried to do at home. I was relieved when she stopped trying to fix it so we could just get him out of there! Im not putting her name because the purpose of this isnt to trash her, but they should have been honest and upfront with us when we came in and told us no one was experienced in cutting a babys hair. Instead she just took our money and butchered his hair. To make it worse she knew she messed it up and didnt apologize. We took him a few days later to a real barber. He took one look at him when we walked in and said Well get it fixed. Not only did they fixed his hair but he also never cried because they were actually nice and gentle with him. So... dont take your babies or toddlers here for haircuts. They advertise it but cant actually do it.

I have had similar, less than optimum experiences like some of the other comments here. Most of the stylists were nice but I always got the same old guy haircut no matter what I asked for. Meh. However, I brought my 17-year-old son in today for his first professional haircut (mom always did them in the past). I gave our stylist, Shay, a photo of what I thought would look good (its called a mid fade) and she did an awesome job!She really seemed to enjoy working on him and spent time working on the details, sculpting his hair and beard! He really looks great and although he wasnt too excited about going in, he really liked the final results and so do his mom and I!As for me, Ive decided to let my hair grow long and I get more positive comments than I did having it cut, so I probably wont be going in for my hair anytime soon, but my kid will probably be going back.I think the bottom line is that this is a young guys barber shop and be specific in your style request and youll be okay.

Ive gone to this barber a couple of times since I moved to town and it was decent enough. The owner was interesting to talk to and friendly and the cut was good; however, my recent visit was a different story. The women who cut my hair (first time I had here) had a disgusted look on her face as I approached the chair. During the cut she barely spoke to me and when it was done and i asked her to shorten my sides a bit more, it looked like I had just called her a bad name. The whole experience felt very demeaning and Ill not be going back to this barber.
