I really hate writing reviews on google, and I doubly hate writing ones publicly, but I just need to write about this experience I had today getting my haircut here.I am a consistent haircut kind of person--when my hair needs a cut, I just get a simple buzz with a fade to the top. Nothing super complicated, and hasnt changed since I have gone here. Today, when asked about what I wanted, the stylist mentioned that I had extensive notes on me, and I interpreted this as being funny (because I obviously wouldnt really have that much since I dont change my haircut). So, playing along, I joked how I was suddenly looking for something super different. I dont know if this wasnt caught as sarcasm or something, but the stylist DID ask me if I wanted my usual cut. I confirmed, and she began giving me a haircut. It started out normal, but when she did the top, she took out shears and started to manually cut my hair. I didnt really think too much about it, I just thought she was doing the same thing through a different process. Then she finished, and I saw that she had given me I *think* an attempt at a high top fade? For context, I am biracial, so my hair doesnt have typical tight curls, but its also not like a white person, so this cut ended up just looking really awkward on me. It also wasnt squared up properly, so I looked like I had a half hearted pompadour. I dont really know how this happened, and I was kind of taken out by the end result that I didnt really know what to say and just kind of wanted to get home cause I was embarrassed. At least its an easy fix but pretty put off that this even happened in the first place. Also, the folks working here should be aware that not everyone shares their views on politics or social issues--some of the topics people were discussing, specifically coming from the male stylist, were bordering on unprofessional. This isnt the first time that some conversations have made me cringe a bit. Doesnt make for a super welcome environment for everyone, especially when stylists will make conversation with you through the visit.Overall, was super disappointed. At least this gave me the push to seek out a proper barber. I wont be returning in the future.
I really like this salon. It is clean and very inviting especially if you like sports. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who cut my hair but I was happy with my haircut and would go back to her.I was there 7/21/21 thank very much the very nice woman who cut my hair.
Thom did an amazing job. Would recommend him
The absolute worst. Theyll tell you to your face that theyre ready for walk ins. Then tell you its a 45 min wait. Can not recommend.
I enjoy coming here since you can check the waitlist online and make appointments on the spot. Ive seen the same set of stylists these past few months and all have been welcoming and quite talented.
Couldnt get anyone to answer the phone
Ashley was friendly and did a great job.
Thom is awesome he does My hair right
Please folks, do not go here. My friend got his haircut there today and they MESSED HIM UP. He looks so goofy now, wont even show his hair in public. The person who cut his hair claimed they had a lot of experience cutting hair and were paid extra just to come down to this store, which may be true, but they did him dirty this time. Stay away. Spend the extra money at a barber, its worth it.
WORST HAIR CUT I HAVE EVER RECIEVEDI said I wanted a trim (and specifically said 1 inch off of my hair at most), and to keep it the same style I had already had (in Picture #1)My head was put down for 90% of the haircut, so I could not just look up and say stop or your cutting to muchAfter my haircut was finished, I looked up and was in shock at how HORRIBLE of a haircut I had got. I ended up with a haircut that was completely opposite of what I asked for. (Picture #2)Long story short, I will never get my haircut here ever again. my Haircut cost $23 by the way, which I think is INSANE for what I received. If you ever think about going here, dont, make sure to read the reviews first.
Honestly Im on the fence of how to rate this because on the first time I went there was with a girl stylist who did a amazing job on my hair and she looked at the picture I provided and she did it fantastically. She told me that my haircut stats or whatever would be put on my file so I wouldnt have to remember the next time. The next visit was with a guy and he says theres nothing in my file and I was going to show something but then he said he didnt need it or whatever Im like okay I guess just short on the sides and longer on top because I like using a visual I thought this is weird. So I guess what Im trying to say is girl great, guy bad. I wish I could remember the names, but I unfortunately dont.First time was worth the money, I felt. The second was not. Contemplating whether to give it another chance. If I walk in and its only the guy thats available, Im out. Im sorry, but no. Hope this helps.
Unexpected mini me day thanks to the fantastic crew! I had no idea hot towels, massaging chair and a deep, thorough hair washing could make my day. Fabulous everything today courtesy of Thom who is polite & kind in 8 languages 10/10 recommend.
Overpriced, rude manager, they dont answer the phone, always empty but you still must go online to make an appointment. the place has a weird feel to it....never going back......
Great price and friendly staff will be back
This is an awesome place to go if you want your haircut to go above and beyond the usual places. This was my first time into a sports clips and I enjoyed being able to check myself in and specify which hairstylist I wanted to see. The employees are very friendly and courteous and actually took the time to cut my hair and do it right. Special shout out to Russel, he is amazing and would highly recommend!
Friendly, and quick service, did a really good job with my hair cut.
Took my fiance to get his hair cut here and, honestly, it wouldve been better if we hadnt. This is the second time that the same stylist has made a complete mess of his hair, from significantly uneven sideburns, to not even following the style request and cutting the hair WAY shorter than asked. We thought wed give them another chance, but we really shouldnt have. Luckily hair grows.
I got the best haircut I have ever had. The little asian guy who cut my hair was too nice. He was a true artist. Leave him alone.
I was given a free haircut coupon by a friend of mine, so I figured, why not? I checked in online and was seated almost immediately. I thought so far, so good. I explained what I wanted, and got something completely different. The sides were uneven, and I was told she couldnt do finger length on top because it was too short. The skull massage was less than 15 seconds, and the overall experience was not good. I left and went straight to Great Clips to have it fixed. Its still not perfect but considering what they had to work with, it looks a lot better. I called and spoke to the manager who said he was sorry, and that was it. I would not go back there again, free or not.
Got a free haircut coupon. Decided to give Sport Clips a try. Went in during my lunch hour. There were 5 employees inside when I walked in. 3 were giving haircuts and 2 were socializing. I signed in, my info appeared on the wait screen with a 15 min. wait time. The lobby was completely empty, but there were 4 people ahead of me on the queue. A customer walked in sat down and after the 2 employees finished their conversation they called out a name. It was the person who had just walked in. He went back and my wait time changed to 17 min. after waiting for 5 min. already. Two employees finished haircuts and one of them left for a break. Now two people are waiting with me and one of them gets called back. My wait time changes to 27 min. While taking back a customer a employee realizes someone is waiting but hasnt fully checked in. He checks in. Now my wait time is 37 min. Please keep in mind that I have already been here for 26 min. The phone rings, I overhear no we dont take appointments, only walk-ins (this confuses me as there are people ahead of me who arent even there) at this point I wait another 5 min. And realize there is no possible way I can now get my hair cut and make it back to work within my lunch hour. My question is, how bad does your customer service have to be for someone to pass on a FREE haircut??!!If you dont take appointments why are people that are physically waiting be passed over by people that are calling in? It makes no sense and it is horrible customer service. negative 5 starsAnd the icing on the cake was the text message I received as I got back to work stating my stylist will be ready within 10 minutes. Why on earth a walk in haircut should take over an hour to be seen is bad customer service. Especially when the initial wait time presented was 15 min. Had someone told me hey its gonna be an hour wait, we can get you in at this time I would have been happy and understanding.
I had never heard of this place before but got a free haircut coupon and decided to try it out.I took my son who has a bunch of cowlicks so his hair can be a little hard to cut. They did a great job! Russell took the time to listen to what he wanted and also took the time to explain and show him how he can do his hair at home. They were also having a deal to upgrade for free to the MVP treatment so he got the works with a head massage, massage chair, and hot towels. The experience was free but would definitely pay in the future. Making my husband go tomorrow.Oh, and they had the Beavers basketball game on. #gobeaves
Theres a free haircut coupon for this place in the Winter 2019 Student Survival Kit mini magazine, which I took them up on today. It was honestly a great experience. I like my new slick fade haircut, and my barber, Thom, was a pleasure to talk to. As a first-time customer, they also offered me a free MVP Haircut Experience, which was basically just a hair washing and head massage. The sports vibe and modern facility were on point.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
Sat waiting to get my haircut for 45 minutes and I was the second person in line the haircuts are good and the service is friendly... just very very...very..... slow
It is a good experience Everytime I go in. Thank you
Edit: returned a month later, and had a great experience. Im going to attribute my initial experience to the growing pains of a new business. I recommend visiting.I stood outside for 18 minutes after it was supposed to open today, door locked. Hours on the door say open. Hours on voicemail say open. Hours on Facebook say open. On none of those did it say they were closed today.I understand the need to close for safety if they feel a couple of inches of snow to be dangerous. I dont understand not updating the answering machine message or facebook to indicate closure.
Great service, the manager is awesome. Update- First experience was great, tried twice since and the wait times are ridiculous. Had to walk out in 30 minute wait and 44 minute wait. The second time one of the two stylists went on a 20 minute plus break with 3-4 customers waiting. Need to get their staffing sorted out.
Great MVP service on a free intro haircut deal. Very accommodating.
Worst customer service Ive seen in awhile. My stylist never made conversation with me making it a really awkward haircut. Left with an unattractive cut - never returning.
Worst haircut ever. Ive been getting the same basic mens cut for years. Gal messed up the buzz cutting part, bad. They tried to use the following excuses. The lighting, the shape of my head, new wrinkles in my head because of my age. Comical. poor service
So far so good, time and additional staffing will determine how well this location performs.
Very nice establishment and barbers. Worth the pricey costs.
Get my hair done right every time
Beware 😠 Awful haircut the second time at this location ✂️ The hair stylists need to go back to hair School / SAVE your money 💵 .. Worst Sports clips💈
Great job.
Good
They dont know what a skin fade is... overpriced for the kind of talent they have..
Great service and awesome haircuts
