I would give 7 stars not 5. Great place to get a haircut at for a good price in Corvallis. I looked so hard for a good barber who quickly gets what I need and enjoys what he does. literally no place in town cuts hair as good as Brett does especially when you ask for a skin fade. I remember the first time I cut my hair at City Barber Shop all of my friends and family noticed that I changed barbers. Very professional and as always great conversations! I recommend this place to anyone who cares to have a good haircut

The best haircuts Ive ever had come from that shop. Ive been getting my hair cut from the staff at city barber shop for many many years and Ive never had a bad one! People routinely ask me where I get it cut and I tell them the best and only place to get a real hair cut is city barber shop. Let me be clear though they are a barber shop not a salon, so no appointments either. If you grew up in a barber shop youd feel right at home here!

I think it’s fair to say that I’m hyper critical when it comes to skilled services, especially when the service is on my head, with sharp metal weapo..I mean, tools. Moreover, you get a bad lawn job, you don’t have to wear it above your eyes for 30 days, not so with a haircut. But I digress..It’s Kim and Brett down there at City, and for 2 yrs Kim’s done an amazing job month and month. Last week, Brett was opening up before Kim had arrived, and though I’d seen him cut 100 heads of hair, he’d never cut mine.In short, Brett did an amazing job in my hair, a perfect undercut/fade with a hard part and I couldn’t be happier with it.Thank Brett!

Great place. I have been to a few different places in Corvallis and none quite gave me what I was looking for. This place is very casual and fun. They really know what they are doing and are a ton of fun to talk to. Great price as well.

A couple of weeks ago I cut my hair, myself...big mistake! In order to fix it, I went to a hair place in Albany (I wont name the place). They really didnt do a very good job of fixing my hair. Frankly, I wasnt sure what could be done. But, I went to the City Barber Shop where Kim worked to see what she could do. As I said, I really didnt know what I wanted so I let Kim just figure it out for herself. She did a fantastic job! I am more than thrilled with my haircut. And, at a fair price too! I will, definitely, go there again!

This guy is amazing, his vibe is the best, very kind and if you want a laugh just go on in there he will for sure make you laugh 😂 I will be back when I need another hair cut man and you can’t beat the price 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is my usual barbershop. Its very traditional, and thats fine by me... Ive been going there for 10 years, and I wouldnt (and dont) go anywhere else. They do a fine job, and the barbershop conversation is always good!

This is a piece of Corvallis history. Best place for a guy to get his haircut in Corvallis. Professional barbers who really know what they are doing. They guy has been there since the 90s and the gal is a veteran beautician. Great vibe, funny staff, incredible work.

Ive never had a more perfect haircut. The service was incredible, and the price ($16) cannot be beat. I highly recommend to anyone in need of a solid cut.

Not one to complain, but this was the worst cut I’ve ever gotten. I asked for fade with 4 on top 1 on sides, he clarified and said that’s a half in on top and 1/8 on the sides because my hair was long and it was a big change, and even gave me an indication with his fingers to the size as well, and I agreed it’s what I wanted. He cut the whole time without turning me toward the mirror, which I had no issue with since he had been sure to be very clear about the length, and it’s an easy cut for any barber. When he finally flipped me around he had cut it so short I couldn’t believe it. When I went home and measured with a ruler it was under 1/8in on top and less on the sides. He also didn’t even line up my side burns which were uneven by almost 3/8in, and my forehead hairline was cut at an angle the whole way across. Literally have cut my own hair better.

I go to this shop every other week, the service is top notch with fun banter that makes you feel right at home. I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for that old school barber feel and outstanding level of personal service.

A good old fashioned barber shop. Friendly and efficient, nice haircut for $16. Werent too busy when I arrived but it was full by the time I left. Open until 4pm on Saturdays. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

Right in the heart of downtown Corvallis is one of the last authentic barber shops. Everyone there has done a great job with my hair and they are nice people too.

People were nice, decently fast, decently priced, but the haircut was just decent as well. Ive heard good things from others, so I will most likely try it again next time, but in all honesty it just didnt do anything special for me.

Been going here almost 20 years. My old man has been going here for around 40ish years. Great cuts, great service, the last old school barber shop around here.

I had an awful experience with discrimination. Walked in and all 3 male customers looked at me like I was scum, including the male in the chair and the woman doing his cut. I said I would like to get my hair cut, if thats okay. Mine you I wear mens clothing because thats how I feel most comfortable, I also have mens haircuts. She said we only do MENs cuts with extreme emphasis on the word men. I knew that, I was in a barber shop and a mens cut was exactly what I wanted, which is obvious by the length of my hair to begin with and the fact that I willing and purposefully walked into a barber shop. I would suggest that if youre a lesbian or a women wanting a mens cut NOT to go here unless you want to feel a heavy burden of pain after your experience.
