Its an older property that has its own charm. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and depending on your room, the view isnt bad either. Its not like the big brand named hotels, however, the Emerald is right on the beach. Theres a pool, bar, and cafe. The staff is very helpful, courteous, and professional. When we had a concern, they took care of it immediately. If youre looking for shiny, perfect, and new, this isnt the place for you. If youre looking for charm, excellent customer service, a comfortable room with a view, thats on the beach, so you and your family can make memories. This is the place!

No complaints here, stayed the weekend, no issues, problems very happy staying here. Wish we could have stayed longer. Indoor pool is huge!!! Love the indoor and outdoor bar! The ladies in the front were so nice! Check in was in and out loved it...The hotel is older but hey its only to sleep we dont need nothing fancy..overall we were happy staying here!!

We stayed at this hotel all the time when I was young and it was always wonderful, then again it was owned by the Holiday Inn then. We booked a room for the past weekend on Booking.com and were excited for the stay. This time around it was horrible, no remote in the room for the TV, phone didnt work it was old and had coffee stains all over it and they take a 100 dollar deposit on your credit card for damages and the room is old and damaged already. When we complained they told us the Maintenance was on break and they only had one housekeeper but the housekeeper could not come into the room and clean the sand on the floor or the phone if we were in the room because of covid yet they were sold out to capacity. I know the country is short staff now but come on you cannot book dirty rooms. Never again will we ever book here.

My daughter and I wanted a quick getaway. Emerald Beach is the absolute perfect spot. I cant wait to go back! We felt safe as they closely followed safety guidelines yet not at all restricted. There is everything you may need at this cozy spot. The staff, everyone we encountered, treated us kindly. Our room was clean and we had a perfect night sleep. A delicious breakfast before a walk along Emerald Beach as the sun came up. It was a perfect getaway. We are planning a longer stay with the husbands and kids soon!

Positive: Our expirence was amazing! The staff was so friendly even for a busy holiday weekend. The young lady who checked us in was so efficient and quick. Her ribbon said trainee but she presented herself like she was there for years! Thank you! Negative: Our room floor was a bit sandy, like it wasnt swept after the last guest. It was fixed quickly and we were very grateful. I know it was a busy holiday weekend. Im glad to see it so packed!

Booked this hotel knowing it was an older building — this was apparent in little quirks like the room door being hard to close without lifting it a little. But there were some things that cannot be attributed to the building being old like the sticky floors when we first arrived in the room, spots and stains on the curtains and on the edges of the sheets. The bathroom was nice and clean, but the toilet was wobbly and there was sand and pebbles in the corners. There was also a huge roach in the bathroom during one of the days we were there. The hotel and our stay was *not bad* but also not great. Good customer service though! Not sure if i’d ever book again or recommend anyone to do the same.

As a follow up to the managers response do not be fooled. The manager never called me back the first time and accounting did not call me back this week. Sorry I was upset before it was July during the hurricane and anyone can look on-line and see the weather report during that time and know I am telling the truth. Shame on you and Agoda booking for your lies and charging us for 2 nights that we were not even there! Cancelled that credit card so you cannot pull that scam on us again!

Terrible experience would have given a minus if was available. Pictures on booking showed a beautiful place. Room/ facility not at all like the pictures. Very nasty and in disrepair. Staff was friendly but did not offer another room or location. Chose not to stay and moved to the Omni which is always outstanding. Pic 1 is online pics 2 is actual.

From the moment we walked in it smells like mildew. The counter could use help it’s under staffed. It took long to check in and when we finally finished, walking to our rooms was appalling. Smells of ammonia, cigarette smells and dog odor. It’s nothing like the website, walked into room only to see it’s not pool view. Next the air vents was black and mold! Next the restroom was covered in bugs. My wife screamed out of disbelief and wanted to leave. My parents called us from there room complaining of odor. This was the worst trip of my 53 years ever.

We absolutely loved our stay. Everyone was friendly. Pool was cold, but very clean.The hot tub unfortunately wasnt open. Nor was the gym, and there were no laundry facilities. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

Floor was covered in sand and with no housekeeping it unfortunately stayed that way. Microwave outlet had a short and wouldnt work unless we help the plug at a certain angle while using it. bathtub drains super slow after showers. I stood in ankle deep water showering. ATM out of order, air hockey and all video games in the pool area were off....Hot tub empty and drained. Lastly our room had 2 FULL SIZE BEDS! I didnt know they even made full size beds anymore. I would think minimum for a room would be 2 queens! Id spend my money at another hotel next time.

I would pay the price for a newer nicer hotel honestly. Not so sure I would stay here again. The location is amazing & access to the beach was nice. I just would rather not see a roach in my room.

This isnt a bad 3 star location. I stayed on the top floor, and it was unique seeing the city line along with the bay. The beach does get crowded, but not awful. We zipped around on scooters, and road the jet skis right on the beach. If youre looking for an economic beach stay, Id check it out.

Extremely friendly staff! Excited to come back when renovations are done. Lots of parking, beautiful beach and pool area. Close to downtown and great food. Comfortable room. We booked last minute and were relieved how nice and easy our stay went. Some furniture needs updating but we have a great stay over all!

Its not terrible. We reserved a balcony facing the beach but the room we got was on the first floor. It was facing the beach, though, so that was nice. However, the room was tiny, not at all as nice as the pictures, and it was COMPLETELY covered with sand. We had to go out and buy a broom to sweep; it was clear they had not swept the room at all before we checked in. They had room service only upon request, but we never had our sheets changed for us while we were there but they did bring us some bedding and towels when we requested. We only had one roll of toilet paper in the room when we checked in and we had to request more of that as well. The front door was stuck and the hotel restaurant was closed the whole time and the bar was tiny. It wasnt the worst hotel, but for the price, I would not recommend it. It would have been nice to have an outdoor shower available as the room was right on the beach and the sand was right outside the door. The best thing about the room/hotel was the beach access but otherwise, we were pretty disappointed and unhappy with our stay.

Proximity to the beach sold me on this location, in addition to on site restaurant and bar. However, there was mold on the drapes and it was moldy in other areas. It smelled of mold,which of you have allergies can be very irritating. There was dust in the vents and the floor felt dirty. The furniture is dated and the paint is peeling. I got a Bayfront room which is expensive nearly 800.00. I would think for that price someone could dump the moldy curtains in a bucket of water with bleach. Its a simple fix to a big problem. Parking in handicapped and overall it was accessible, but the bathroom was not. Parking if youre handicap is horrible theres 4 handicap spots in a hundreds of cars parking lot.

Stayed one night and our check in was supposed to be at 2:00 p.m. but we didnt check in till 3:00 p.m. Hotel was pack so I can understand since they were busy. We had two rooms and only one of the rooms was made. The second room wasnt made as sheets were missing from the mattress and covers thrown. Decided to go swimming and it was really nice and a huge area to swim. The swimming pool was on the second floor. Our second room was fixed when we finished swimming and went back to the rooms. Room was kinda hot even with adjusting the temperature in the room. Beds were big and comfortable. Overall it was alright.

I am disgusted with the entrance of the place, the room, bathroom and the whole place. I’m starting to have anxiety about spending the night here. There are flies in my room. I refuse to walk around without socks and shoes on my feet. It’s not even worth the beachfront. It is the closest to a mortuary I’ve ever been. Get out!

The staff goes out of the way to avoid the customers. I waited in front of the counter for a long period of time before I was even acknowledged. I was the only customer there, then the staff member calls another worker to come help me and then she went out of her way to avoid me, not even looking my way, until I finally complained that I had been waiting a long time. To top that one of my outside windows was just covered with a piece of Styrofoam!!!.

First night was a nightmare because the front desk lady who checked us in was being rude and was not trying very hard to be accommodating or even polite with us, on top of all that we finally get to the room and my boyfriend and I are about to take a shower when from the bed we hear running water as if someone was in our bathroom and upon entry we realize that the hotel room above us was flooding our bathroom with brown water soaking our towels and floor instantly.We pressingly make our way to the front desk to express our concerns for the situation we have been put through, expecting to get put in a lesser room we wait for the clerk to give us the bad news.We are pleasantly surprised when the lovely Annette, informs us that were being upgraded to a room overlooking the ocean and has a balcony plus the room was much much bigger than the previous one that flooded us out.Thanks again Annette for your wonderful hospitality and cheerful disposition during our stay at the Emerald Beach Hotel, it made my boyfriends birthday trip one well never forget!

Positive: Location was very good. They had an onsite bar & pool. Negative: Other than the fact that this hotel is very dated and needs to be reconstructed, there was lack of cleanliness all around. The lobbies werent clean, the corridors had dirt on the floor. In this time of COVID, customers need to feel safer in hotels.

Where do I begin, we begin our 4 nights on a Thurs after traveling 5 plus hours. Upon arrival the hotel was in a decent location and appeared ok despite being old & in desperate need of updating. We stayed in room 603 and had an incredible view! But further inspection of the room provided us with plenty to complain about! The room had 2 refrigerators, one not working, dirty and old! Not all of the outlets or lights worked. The comforter appeared unwashed and stained. And the cell phone charger port on one of the lamps didn’t work. Later that night the tub, and both sinks drained so slowly we had to call for maintenance to come at 1030pm to help. Eventually that issue and a lamp was resolved, but this was all on the first night… The next morning the “breakfast buffet” $12.99 per adult was merely a complimentary breakfast at most other hotels, so we passed and ate elsewhere. Other things throughout our stay included wads of hair in the towels, a murky, dirty swimming pool indoors and the fire alarm going off in the entire hotel at least once, plus a broken elevator most of our stay! When we were checking out it was storming, Tropical storm was approaching, and rain was coming in considerably through the sliding glass door. Corpus and it’s surrounding beaches are nice places but reconsider staying at this hotel.

Great value for the price! Front desk and all employees encountered were super friendly. Rooms aren’t top notch quality but great for the price point and location. We had one maintenance issue tonight and the tech arrived within minutes to get us taken care of. He was also very friendly and helpful! I can’t wait to come back when they finish the renovations on the outside. Keep up the great work, guys! :)

Our room was not clean. Bedsheets had stain on them, not sure if it was changed. Toilet, bath tub, table were dirty. Urine spilled on toilet seat, hair on the wall in the tub etc. We ended up cleaning ourselves. We had small children and really had a hard time. I took a chance with this despite of reading many negative reviews because of the beach access. We immediately regretted the decision after entering the room. I wonder why the management doesnt take any action despite of the negative reviews about cleanliness. Wont recommend this to anyone who care about cleanliness.

Overall my family and I had a good stay. The hotel needs to put some more money in updating the indoor pool and some other aesthetics. I didnt have that much trust in the make shift lock that was on our rear sliding door at ground level by the beach. I was thankful to see they did have a security person walking the parking lot at night. Btw breakfast is $12.99 for adults and $8.99 for kids

Negative: If I had to knit pick, it would be that there were no staff supervision around the pool. A lot of teenagers diving and doing cannon ball jumps a little to close to my 4yr old.

It was good. The staff was very nice and friendly. We were contacted on the way to the hotel that they couldnt give us the balcony we reserved (my fault not theirs) but upon our arrival they said they did have a balcony it was the handicapped room but we didnt mind. The only thing was there were long black hairs everywhere in our room, our sheets, bathroom floor but we didnt mind. The one thing I truly didnt like was that there was poop on our shower curtain.

Pretty bad rooms. I would suggest the hotel remodel before opening to the public. Another person checking out in front of me said she had roaches in her room. My room was not clean when checked in and there was damages that look to be from water.If there was water damage then the room should not be available until it is repaired and the hotel makes sure their is no mold in the room. They gave me an excuse that it was a busy season. No refund or even a partial refund was given for the night spent. We checked out early.The room did have a microwave, so anyone looking for a pro in the cons.

Arrived on Saturday after having to leave a different hotel after a bad experience.This was my second stay at the Emerald what a difference in 2 years this property went from a five star rating to a one.They property was having problems with their electricity for 6 months and it was never fixed. Not long after arriving the power went out, guest were stuck in the elevator, on upper levels having to come down the stairs, mind you there were some on wheel chairs, families with babies and some pregnant. The power was off for nearly 6 hours the freezer thawed out. There was large amounts of water on floor due to the thaw. Requested my room to be serviced by housekeeping I was told by the housekeeper that they do not clean occupied rooms. To make matters worse staff told us different stories on why the power went out, in other words we were lied too. Several witnessed a transformer blow and a staff member mentioned that the power was acting up for 6 months. I am planning on returning in early August, my WAS to stay at the Emerald again, but after this experience will not be returning here again and not recommending this place ever again. My next stay will be at the Holiday inn they take good care of their guests and the food is a lot better.

The place is not the cleanest and if you feel comfortable sleeping in a room full of fleas and thick’s feel free staying here. We spoke with the manager on turn on day 09/12/2021 in the morning and he really didn’t care. If I can I will give it a zero star because this place is dirty.

Where to begin? First impressions are everything. I approached the check in counter to find dust and drywall patch work all in that area. Building looked dilapidated.I tried checking in early because I reserved my room through THEIR WEBSITE where it gives the option to choose your check in time and to my surprise they were unaware of it. They informed me that if I would like to check in early it would be an additional $60. I get my room and get ready to leave. I do a quick recon of the hotel, and I look left and right and I see some shady people all around the premises. After out and about the family go down to the pool that looked soupy from all the miscreants swimming in it. I return to my room to hear someone at the door. Loathe and behold someone else has access to my room. They proceed to enter until I startle them. They show me that they were given this room with my family still in it. We both go to the front desk and they begin to tell me how they are not sure how I was moved to another room with no one notifying me. They gave me some excuse about the A/C being out and I wanted to move. Nothing of the sort happen. For $300 a night, I really thought it would be something on the higher end of quality and service. Please I beg you, if you have some sense of standards you will not reserve at this establishment.

Well I dont know what theyre doing but it appears theyre doing some renovating theres a bunch of entertainment equipment by the pool thats out of order. Theyre working on an outdoor bar and a seating deck which should be nice when its finished.The rooms are nice parking is good. But they dont seem to have operational restaurant at this point either.

This hotel is in need of major renovation. Massive leaks throughout the building with rampant black mold. there was a serious water leak coming from ceiling in the hallway that was ignored by cleaning and hotel staff. They simply let it leak with ceiling tiles laying on floor and water leaking in carpet. It was left like that through the duration of my time there which was 2 days! I didnt get room I reserved, and the a/c on the other side of building (rooms 1000+ ) did not work. It was so bad, that I had to report the mold and leaks to health department. The only thing holding this very old hotel together is the beach side views which are very congested. We witnessed 2 hit and runs in the parking lot, Cleaning crew as mentioned were rude and did not want to help, they noticed the leaks from ceiling but could care less. There are no stairs! They have 3 elevators, only 2 work with only 1 family at a time. So to get to your floor it could take 20 min on a busy day. Breakfast is not complimentary (12.99 per person) which is hard to find convienent given that there are other restaurants nearby much cheaper and tastier. Overall, if you are on a budget (very small budget) this could work. But I would not recommend given my experience here.

It was okay I guess, nothing special. I will say this,#1 You will be paying well above what you would normally pay for this quality hotel because of the convenience of the beach right behind the hotel.#2 And this was the bad part, I stayed on the sixth floor I believe, and for 2 days straight the hallway wreaked of marijuana before someone finally took care of the situation.So without a doubt I will just stay at the Omni right down the street next time.

This place has a great location however the hotel needs to step it up (Lovely double rainbow photo included). There are no accommodations for a paying guest when the lights go out. How does 1 run a hotel next to a beach that gets stormy several times a year and not have a backup plan for its paying guests? Inconceivable!! 1 nights stay is over $200 so I expected more after driving several hours just to hangout, 1st weekend in May and in the rain other than Sorry, Maam, idk what to do for you. Youre welcome to come back when the lights are on. The backup generator covered only the lights in the hotel lobby. I couldnt check-in and there was no offer to help accommodate me elsewhere other than my expected refund back. I even waited it out as per the suggestion for several hours in my friends room which had no electricity and it never came back on. Thank gawd I brought my cooler. Emerald Beach Hotel peps, you may have the name of a gem but you dont have the manners of 1. Southern hospitality is not here.

Beware- the amenities like the games are not in working condition and unplugged, there are no safes in the room, and hot tub was closed. All of this not to mention the questionable conversation between cleaning crew. Not for families. We had an experience so bad with an employee that they refunded us for the rest of our stay and we went elsewhere. Just drive the extra mileage to Port Aranzas. Such a strange experience.

Could have been nicer considering our floor had not been swept with a broom to get rid of sand. Do not buy the chicken wings from the bar. My grandson did and got 5 wings with absolutely no meat on the bone. It was ridiculous. They claimed the restaurant was under renovation. I know what that looks like and there was no work being done in the actual restaurant. Maybe they were short staffed and I get it but tell me that instead. The price I paid for an ocean view was a fair price but those 2 complaints make me question my next stay!

We had a room right on the water. The patio had table and chairs to enjoy view and breeze. Room was clean updated and good size. However we had to go to front desk for towels, soap, coffee. The parking is bad as there are people who park in parking lot who are not staying at hotel. They need to put a guard and arm to stop this as hotel guest need to have a place to park.

My favorite fun beach place to be.There is a awesome little bar right out back right by the ocean. In the evening with the cool air and sunset makes the whole scenery so beautiful. There is a indoor swimming pool and its pet friendly. A gorgeous sunrise in the morning made our stay at Emerald Beach Hotel absolutly fabulous 😄

Plus They notified us that their electricity was down and if the lights were not turned on by 5 PM we would get 50% off. The hotel room had issues. They showed a room with a sofa and fit 4. Our room had two queen size beds. The bathroom was not completely handicap accessible. The shower was with a tub. The website shows a shower that is wheelchair accessible roll through. The bathroom door had damage by a dog. It was chewed and the walls were scratched. Worst of all the curtains to the patio had mold on the bottom. When we commented about the room....The only response was well get housekeeping on it. That should have been done beforehand.

I used to LOVE this hotel when it was owned by Holiday Inn. Visited Every Summer until college. I even worked there as I attended TAMUCC. I Even had my graduation party here.. so believe me when I say it has gone downhill. The front desk girls were all SO UNFRIENDLY, and the room definitely was not cleaned. I assume they cut staff and overwork the maids that are still working there. I get it, you have people over a barrel here being as you are the ONLY hotel on the water, but AT LEAST CLEAN THE ROOMS AND UPKEEP THE PROPERTY. At $189 a night plus a $100 deposit (on a card that they TAKE OUT, AND RETURN 5 DAYS LATER), you be the judge.

Have to give this place at least a 2 star rating. Although it wasnt the best of places and the rates in Corpus are ridiculous and the hotel in general needs a major overhaul and renovation, the service team (those running around and actually doing the work) were friendly and helpful. The location is pretty good as well.I ONLY gave it 2 stars though because of all of the issues with this place. The room was passable mainly because the bed was comfortable. The rest of the room was a mess. No safe, the furniture was deteriorating, the shower curtain drug the floor, and lots of general maintenance needed. Rooms were not cleaned during the stay. You had to take out your own trash and go get your own towels. If you want sleep at night without drunk guests knocking on your door randomly you might stay somewhere else.The parking lot needs some maintenance as well. Also be careful entering as the drive is really steep and if youre going too fast you can probably easily roll a vehicle if you turn right.Not sure of the history of this place but it feels like an old elementary school that has been built piece by piece over time.Yes, this place is right on the beach. Its a crowded beach. On our last day we ended up not even using it and instead headed down to the state park on North Padre where there were much fewer people and the washing station was actually helpful instead of right in the middle of more sand.To sum up. Some nice employees and on the beach, but for the price it isnt a great deal. Id say spend a little more and find a hotel that isnt falling apart. (someone got stuck in an elevator while we were there)

We arrived a bit before check-in and they said our room was ready and we would be charged $60. Came back a hour later and we get to our room (beside elevators) and can hear beeping of elevators through the wall. They did get us a new room quickly and when we walked in there was a huge puddle of water covering a large chunk of the floor and getting bigger from the fridge. At this point we just wanted a room and we got towels from down the hall and cleaned the floor and emptied the fridge. There were large chunks of hair in the fridge and bathroom and the non-smoking room smelled of smoke. There was no safe in the room which is a must when you spend all day at the beach but we did not have our room cleaned through our 4 night visit. I did not read anywhere that they were not giving us new towels or toiletries, etc anywhere but assume they are using Covid as an excuse although they do no social distancing or other precautions. Emailed management with my early experience and did not get a reply back. Hallways of hotel were very dirty and felt like we were staying in a really cheap motel. You could barely see the ocean from our partial ocean view room (see photo looking out) and balcony had no furniture (see photo) but our room was so noisy from the street we might not have gone out.

NO STARS! The a/c wasn’t working, called front desk 16 times which the MOD Alyssa picked up and hung up the phone, which she did right in font of me. Went downstairs to get my refund and when the MOD Alyssa came to assist she gave me attitude in front of a line of people. Coming from a customer service background this was simply unethical/unprofessional. This just shows the type of management staff this hotel hires. I recommend you stay ANYWHERE ELSE. Save your time and money and get ANYTHING ELSE.

Saw several cockroaches over the course of our stay, our refrigerator had mold in it and it took two days for staff to remove it and bring us another one. When the staff did bring us another one they were very rude and short with us. We couldn’t see our of our balcony sliding glass door the entire time because it was permanently fogged and scratched in between the two pieces of glass. Rooms are very dated and the balcony was disgusting, old pieces of chewed gum stuck to the porch and cockroaches, you definitely don’t want to be on the balcony without shoes. We couldn’t walk around the room without shoes on either because the floors were dirty enough to turn our feet black. Staff never came around to refill our towel supply or clean our room the entire week we were there, we had to track down staff for towels and shampoo and coffee for our room. There was mold on the ceilings and bathroom. Go spend your money elsewhere!

The hotel was convenient because it was right on the beach which was very nice. However, this place was not very clean and everything looks old. The sheets looked dirty they had stains on them. What really got me was the lines for the elevator so I asked where are the stairs so I can go up those instead. The lady I asked told me we can not use the stairs because it was for emergency exits only! So I could not use the stairs although in every other hotel you can. So you do not have a choice you have to use the elevator.

I hope the owner reads this. I made a reservation by phone for me, my husband, our two babies and our dog. I was told that my prepaid debit card was fine as long as it had my name on it, and that there would 100% definitely be a crib available to us, no chance of them running out. I was told there was no deposit to stay there. We drove 2 hours to get there and waited 30 minutes in line to check in. I was told there would be a $100 hold on my card, totaling $703. I agreed and went to pay, but was told I could not use my prepaid debit card and that my reservation would be cancelled. The manager made an exception just this once after I told him the situation. I paid and again requested a crib be brought to the room. We went upstairs to room 701, handles were falling off of the drawers, the phone did not work, and the cable cut in and out. After a few hours, still no crib so we left our dog in the bathroom of the room on his leash and went to Walmart to go buy a pack n play so we had somewhere to put our baby, we only brought one pack n play. After 15 minutes we get a call that our dog is barking (I take responsibility for that) and we need to come back immediately.  I tell him I will be there in ten minutes. 5 minutes later, the manager calls to say he is going to go into the room and bring my dog downstairs to the desk if I am not there soon. He says he will not enter the room and hell wait until I get there if Im close by. I say Im right down the block. 3 minutes later, I go upstairs and my dog is out of the bathroom, off the leash, and all the drawers in the room are open. I discover water leaking from the bathroom ceiling. I go downstairs (phone doesnt work) and tell the manager someone was in my room without my permission and we still dont have a crib. Another woman at the desk steps in and says she also doesnt have a crib that was promised to her, and told me they dont have anymore. The manager offers no solution besides sending maintenance. I decline the request and go upstairs because there are no other rooms left available in the city. We dont have cable all night. Our 17 month old sleeps between us in bed. The next morning I call repeatedly around checkout time and eventually a crib is brought to us. The mattress is hard and its made out of metal but it will do. We stay the second night even though the first night was awful, and then go home the next morning. We will never stay here again. It felt like a dirty motel 6 with a beach balcony.

Nice hotel on the beach. Check in was a drag. Long line that took a while. We got to the room and I immediately noticed a smell. It was the refrigerator. I found someone in the hall and she took care of it. It was dirty and had standing water in it for from what I saw was a very long time. After cleaning the fridge and mopping because the gross water was spilled throughout the room, we settled in. The next day while I was in the bathroom getting dressed to go out, I was getting rained on. The ceiling had water pouring down. The bathroom above us..is leaking....just great. So down to the front desk we went as we were on out way out for the evening. When we got back we moved to another room. That was a pain packing again. The new room was nice and clean, good thing because it was late and moving was no fun. The next two day were event and water leak free. We did go to the tikibar they have and it was nice and has seating with a great view. They were working on the deck so there was construction going on, a lot of hammering and drilling, but I ignored that. The pool was very crowded all the time, so I didnt even try to go. The beach was nice. They kept is very clean despite all the people and their gear. A lot of friendly people around. Check out wasnt bad. The carts are hard to find to get your luggage to the car, they could use a few more. Oh and parking is free and there is a lot. That was nice. Nice hotel on the beach.

Beach was dirty. Hotel area unkempt and felt unsafe. And there was NO electricity. Was offered a refund but have yet to receive that. So had a hot sweaty night to be woken up by lawn mowers first thing in the morning. Would not recommend this place. My advice look at places closer to Mustang Island for better beaches and safer.

Over priced for what its worth. Power went out on the 3rd day we were there. Water on the floor from thawed out freezer. Only had 3 towels in our room, not enough for the 4 people staying in the room. When I asked the housekeeper for extra towels she said there was a limit. I had to go down to the front desk, mind you this was the second day there. Had to sweep our own room due to the sand. Serious renovation is needed, not worth the price.

The toilet did not have a handle to flush the restroom door would not close the lady at the front did not want to give me a different room until maintenance checked it out and saw that it was true then I was changed to a second room the beds were comfy but I would never stay there again. And it also had a super strong smell of Chlorine.

When you pay $730 for 2 nights, you expect a nice room not a room from the budget in, hell I think the budget inn rooms are nicer than the one we stayed in. Didn’t even have cups for the coffee in the room, had to go to the front desk for ice, cause the ice machine on our floor didn’t work, they didn’t want you setting any drinks on the bar top outside cause they were afraid they were gonna start peeling, well obviously they didn’t have coasters to set your drink on. No carpet in the room sand and dirt all over the hotel, before new management took over this hotel was really nice, I will never ever rent another room from there again, very disappointed!!!!!

Nice enough. It’s on the BAY not the ocean. The ocean is in a different part of the city roughly 20 minutes without traffic from this location. It’s a little outdated, but it is convenient to the aquarium and Lexington. One of the photos posted as being the front of the location is actually part of Padre Staples Mall, which is also roughly 20 minutes from this location.

I wasn’t particularly impressed with this hotel. It’s beautiful on the inside and gives a kind of old school feeling to the pace, very antique-y. However, there’s a ton of construction going on around the place, and also the back pavilion (which seems to be one of the main attractions) was shut down and that wasn’t mentioned on the website. Also, they have rules about pets that they didn’t post front and center. The rules say that you’re not allowed to leave you leave pet alone in the room under any circumstances and also that if your pet is too noisy you’ll be removed. That’s not necessarily a big deal, but I’ve traveled for 10+ years with my dog and I don’t think I’ve ever come across a place that didn’t expect you to depart for whatever reason, albeit fun, food, etc. I was also charged over $100 more than what I was originally billed without any explanation. I tried contacting them and they never responded. It’s too late to care now, but I’ll certainly not be going back. It’s not a TERRIBLE hotel, but for the price it’s not worth it.

I am sure this place was the toast of the town when it opened in 1965. Staff is nice but management needs to spend more money on upkeep and maintenance. Hot tub was broken, not all internal spaces are air conditioned.

The location is great, right by the beach. The one thing that we absolutely DID NOT like is that there is no room cleaning during your stay. You have to go get clean towels, toilet paper, soap to the lobby every time you need them. I stayed 4 days with 3 kids, one room, obviously it needed cleaning and you that are mothers know that we dont stay at a hotel and expect to clean it ourselves. That is one of the commodities of going on vacation and staying at a hotel. Rooms can be cleaned taken the same precautions that they take to clean the rooms when the guest leave. They said staff cannot enter rooms due to COVID. We stayed here 2nd week of August 2021.

Best hotel in Corpus by far. Everybody is so sweet here. Everybody is so helping and kind. We were in a bind and they were able to work with us to make sure we got a great rate the very same night. Room service is great, everything is clean, the pool is gigantic, and you cant beat being right on the beach. Just an all-around great experience.

Pictures online are very deceiving. Looks like an nice clean hotel but when we got to our room it smelled like Mildew. Furniture looked old and was chipped,, reserved 2 queen beds and was given 2 full size beds. We left to go eat and came back to a huge roach on the wall just above our bed. When I finally was able to fall asleep I was awoken by loud chattering by the workers just outside our room . Not to mention how dirty and cloudy the pool was. I wouldnt recommend staying here. I know I would never come back.

I just love the balcony in the cabana room 2nd floor the beds and room could be a bit bigger including the restroom it was my least favorite. Pool was nice also. I wish we could of got house keeping but we couldnt because we stayed 2 nights. Other than that I just paid 400 for an ocean view and balcony which I loved but still think its too pricey. Wish they kept would keep up with the ground and property maintenance.

We always look forward to our family vacations. The times we have visited Corpus in the past, we have stayed at the Emerald Beach Hotel and it was really nice and pleasant then.We have always recommend to our family and friends staying at this particular hotel. This time however, we are very disappointed with the hotel odor and the dirtiness!!! We got three rooms on the same floor and all three rooms were dirty. Hallway floors also very dirty!! Our room floors were not swept or mopped, there was old food crumbs and old candy on the floors, not to mention floors were sticky. Our bed linens and towels smelled musty and we think that’s what made our entire rooms smell terrible! Unfortunately this will be the last time we visit the Emerald Beach Hotel.

I’m staying here as I write this, staff isn’t friendly, as I am someone who works in customer service in a much more busy environment I know how to handle multiple tasks at once unlike the employees here.The rooms for the price paid is not worth it. The rooms are super average and not fairly priced. I would not recommend staying here, I’d instead recommend staying literally anywhere else, like best western or something.

If I could leave zero stars I would. First, the hotel is NOT nearly as nice or clean as pictures look. This place is falling apart. Second, it is outrageously overpriced for the quality. Third, our room had mold in the bathroom (pics included) and when we cut our stay short and asked for a little refund all they could do was $100, on a $330 a night stay. Management clearly doesn’t care. Baseboards are peeling off the walls, pieces of the building falling off, the whole place is outdated and sad. I kept waiting for a roach to crawl across the floor. Will not be returning ever.

Location and customer service was good.On the beach but there is a sign that warns of too much bacteria too swim in beach. So much for that.Rooms are semi clean: sandy floors, sand pretty much everywhere, but then, hotel is on the beach.Pool was nice and heated but overrun by kids...and full of hair. Where were most of parents?I would return, though, because of its location. Near Selena memorial, jet ski rental, shopping, and good restaurants. 10 min from North Beach.

The line to check in was long. I booked a king sized room and they tried to give me a double. Hotel needs upgrades. Very worn and dirty. Sundeck and outside bar not available. Worst beach ever. Overcrowded and the photos online do not match the actual beach. Overpriced for what you get. I will never stay here again not will I recommend to friends.

So I would love to give them 5 stars but it took over an hour to check in. They had alot of trainees. The room was beautiful. They charged me twice told me they fixed it but my husband stood in line the next day for 45 min just for them to send me an email stating it was an accident. They have great customer service but the wait is ridiculous theres no reason for that then the next morning trashed was piled up at the door flowing over.the guy at the front desk whos worked there 7 years needs a promotion because he busted his butt trying to do everything. I watched a manager just walking around while they struggled thats ridiculous and shouldnt happen I felt sorry for the team.this was supposed to be my Birthday get away but standing in a line forever definitely wasnt what I expected.

Booked 2 months in advance, was charged $600 and upon checking in they said our booking was cancelled after talking to the manager and booking, they cant give me a room cause they are full capacity and there is nothing they can do about it except refund me in 7-10 days. Not to mention the reception lady was beyond rude and eye rolling us with a monotone voice like she hated her job.We went ahead to the Radisson next door on the beach and it was perfect, I even explained what happened and the lady said they have heard similar stories and even offered me a manager discount due to the experience that happened at emerald beach.Next vacation we go on in corpus, we will be staying at the Radisson, and I suggest you do the same if you want a reliable hotel that is guest friendly.0 stars if I could.

The beds!!! They are soooo comfortable. The room was spacious. The laminate flooring was great for easy sand clean up. We were there 5 days/4 nights, and there was no cleaning service due to covid, but we had no trouble getting anything we needed. We will definitely stay again!

Staff was friendly but my hotel room was not clean as i thought it would be. the place itself is out dated, everything looks so old. the building where my hotel room was, second floor. the ceiling is so low, my shower curtain bar was also bent. this hotel is not clean. i can understand the pool area but everything else was disgusting. we had checked in at 6 and had to wait until 8. they said our room needed to be cleaned. why was it not ready when we were there? this place is slow and outdated.

Its great and in the heart of what there is to do. We were there during covid and construction so Ill say that effected things. However, things they cant control was the beach had high bacteria levels so we couldnt enjoy that. The out door bar was closed so around 7-8 a huge crowd was in the small bar lobby all trying to get drinks and food from just 2 guys. We also used a discount app and paid 60% less than the normal rate. At my price it was good. I wouldnt have paid full price for what we got. Rooms are clean and nice, they are small but who cares youre not there to be in the room. However, main problem with the Room was the over 1 gap between the floor and the door to the hallway which does not help with sounds of other guests late at night.

I had a bad Experience, we were not given our room until 8 pm and we were sent to a room that was not ready so I had to load up all my stuff again. I was promised a 20% off my first night due to the inconvenience and they did not removed it from my bill. My child was exhausted we all needed to rest we waited for 4 hrs. after the check in time. I do like the location of the hotel and how clean their lobby restroom was and their staff was nice,But I will not be returning to Emerald Beach in Corpus Christi.

No handicap access to beach. Room was nice, clean, comfortable. Husband could not take scooter anywhere independently as elevator doors shut too quickly and elevator area was too small. We could back in with someone holding the door. Bath was not usable - no shower access. Beach area had lots of trash.

The hotel furniture is extremely old & outdated. The facility is horrible. We walked into a puddle of water inside of our room. Literally my pant legs were soaking wet. We were moved to another room where the toilet did not work properly. Parking was scarce. It is absolutely nothing positive about this hotel, except the proximity of the beach. However, there are countless other hotels on the beach. It is overpriced and not worth a penny. Lastly, the rooms are adjoined so our neighbors dog kept us with barking all morning. Horrible experience.

My family booked a 5 night stay here, we checked in and got our key just fine. However we noticed a stain on the headboard that looked like blood. We took a picture and went to the front. We talked to two ladies and they both were appalled at the picture I showed them. They got the manager and he had the same reaction to the picture. He said normally they would move rooms but due to housekeeping they couldnt. They said they would send someone in to clean the room and get the headboard taken care of. He also said they would give a discount on the whole stay. I said okay, we left and came back and ask they did was wipe the headboard. We had to ask 4 times and took till 11:15 pm for them to come and change the bedding. They left bedding in the room as if we needed to change the bedding ourselves, this is not okay!! In addition we were there for 5 nights and they wouldnt come in and change bedding, new towels, or take the trash out. We had to put towels and trash in the hall and go downstairs to get new towels when needed. When we checked we had to argue with the manager to take money off the stay. This is not okay, in the past when we have had an issue it is a given to try and make it right. Other people in know said itb should have been completely comped or at least half the stay. Especially with covid I would think this would have been the case.

I’ve called emailed everything and no one is willing to help!Added after reply from manager: please do look into this. I never got the room that I booked. I was suppose to get a view over looking the cove, instead I got a room overlooking a sunken boat harbor and hospital. Cars were being broken into the night before we got there, until we left. Hotel security was weak! Bar was pretty sad and breakfast was to be included in stay, except wasnt free! They serviced either a biscuit, egg and cheese or one other for $2.00 a piece. The didnt have a outdoor bar due to the last hurricane, but was being worked on. The hotel beach had little sand fleas that would jump up on your legs. Property was in a great location!

We stay for the weekend and it was very welcoming. The front desk staff was great and friendly. I had issues with the ac in room but the front end manager did not hesitate she was nice and had them check it out still Nothing and she gave us another room. I love that the beach is just walking distance. The only think was the bar they need help I think its alot for 1 people to to handle. We ordered food and it took long and then it was cold. But again overall it was great me and my family had a great time. Thank you staff members at emerald beach...

The View was amazing we were looking over the ocean, but the breakfast was flat out highway robbery. It was $12 a person and only had French toast, liquid eggs, n bacon. They arent cleaning rooms because of covid as an excuse but the hotel isnt havent any social distancing, not a single employee wore a mask, and everyone was allowed to cram in the elevator so the no cleaning was just an excuse to save money.

We booked a Cabana room on the beach on April 11, 2021 for a 3 day stay starting June 26, 2021. We arrived to check in and we were informed that we were booked for the main hotel on the sixth floor because they messed up our reservation. We have been staying here for the past 17 years and this has been a horrible experience. We will never stay again. There are multiple problems with the hotel from the pool ladder being broken to the doors not locking or closing correctly. More issues than I wish to list. The lady upfront said we were in a bay view room. What a joke (Ill post a picture). The staff acted like they really didnt care to help us but yet the rooms cost were charged on our card. I asked for a refund and they said 7 to 10 days before we would have it. I decided to stay only because we drove all the way from North Texas and were tired. We were not offered a discount for their screw up or even an apology. The lady that took our reservation no longer works there either. We made the best of it but we definitely dont recommend this place to anyone anymore. Also the lady upfront blamed it on an infestation going on in Corpus Christi. Thats nice to to know as she hands us the room card. The picture of the roof is their Bayside view room. The other picture with the beach view is the Cabana I paid for. Nice!!!!!!
