I don’t normally leave reviews but I enjoyed the experience so much I had to. Came here from out of town googled and saw the numerous good feedback especially for AA hair texture. I booked with Mo and he’s very passionate about his craft and has a great eye for detail. Very patient. Very welcoming and great conversation. Ive been cutting my hair with the same barber for years. I have officially made The Lab my go to shop.My first experience was with Luis Mosquera, the owner. He was very precise and did not rush my haircut. He did not do anything to my hair unless i gave him the greenlight.Second experience was with Frank Leon. I was nervous because Luis was not available and i knew he did great work. Luis assured me Frank was just as good if not better. He was right. Frank took care of me like never before. Ive never been the type to have a hot towel over my beard before the razor. He also massaged my face with a machine over a cold towel after my beard. Left the chair feeling like a new man lolThey also are mindful of your time! Ive never sat in their for more than 45min.I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a new shop that will take pride in their Art. 10/10 rating all day!

A genuine shop! Got my hair cut by Luis who was amazing - attentive to my requests, really thorough, and went above and beyond when it came to the details. He was also really inquisitive and a fun guy to talk to talk. Beyond him, the vibe of the shop was great and it feels like a truly Miami space if you’re familiar with the local artists featured in the decor. Overall a great spot for a cut I will be frequenting.

Even though sometimes we have a language barrier (our native languages are different), they still manage to understand me and cut my hair exactly the way I want it.

I’ve been a client of Mau’s since I moved to Miami nearly 5 years ago. This guy is hands down the best in the business and The Lab is an extension of his greatness. The vibes are always super chill, the energy is always positive and upbeat. The barbers here are all professional, insanely skilled and make you feel apart of the squad right away. These guys are masters of their craft and will hook up whatever it is you want, or if you aren’t quite sure, give them a direction and they’ll make sure you leave there looking fresh. Best barber shop in coral gables hands down. Marty has been cutting my hair for the last 7 years and he’s just fantastic. My son has autism and Marty and his patient and friendly attitude has been cutting his hair since he was 1year old which is no walk in the park.
