We packed up the camper and hooked it to our “new to us” truck. We were headed out of town when we realized there were no trailer brakes and no camper lights to be seen. We have been customers at Sim’s since before it was Sim’s, so we circled back hoping it was a simple fix. After diagnostics, multiple fuse changes, the use of some handy tools and expert knowledge, they have us back on the road and river bound. Best automotive service that I’ve experienced in quite a long time!! I went in thinking that the issue would cost me thousands. However, Bradley took his time to diagnose the issue and it ended up being something really simple. He didn’t try to “upsell” and offer services that we’re not needed. He took the time to educate me on the issue as well as show me what needs to be done to keep my Accord (which has 160,000 miles) for another 2 years.Thanks to Mrs. Vickie for the pleasant conversation as I waited. The bathroom and facilities are top notch!!

Had a terrible experience with Sims Automotive. Would not recommend to anyone. Tried to up charge me for transmission service and wasted my time. I will not be taking any vehicle their ever again.I had called and spoke with their secretary on a Friday about having my transmission fluid changed on my truck and was given a estimate price under $200, which I thought sounded like a fair deal so I scheduled for the following Tuesday first thing in the morning to bring it in. I mistakenly thought it was Monday morning and bring it in first thing on that day. They take my truck and no one notices that I am there at the wrong day. They assure me it can be taken care of that day. No one says anything about the price. I call at noon to see if its still going to be ready that day. Secretary goes out of her way to tell me Well you brought it in on the wrong day, it was supposed to be tomorrow. Then assures me it can be done today. Again, no mention of the pricing and I am still thinking its going to be around $200. I get a call at 3 pm from the service team to let me know that it is going to be $400 because of how hard it is to do. I say I wasnt expecting it to be so much and I come pick it up. When I get their I am already a little upset because I have now been car-less since 8 AM and I felt they wasted my time, so I begin to voice my frustration to their secretary about being so grossly misquoted. She immediately cuts me off giving me attitude Well you brought it in on the wrong day!? And I tell her what does that have to do with it. She gets the shop manager and I ask him why I was misquoted and he has no answer for me, but tells me I am not going to find a better price in town.Long story short, I leave because I do not like the price and jump across to Oliver Transmission and they quote me at under $200. And inform me that on my model truck its not even recommended to change the fluid on my Fords automatic transmission. So I think that Sims Automotive either purposefully misquoted me because I came on the wrong day and it was getting to the end of the day and they didnt want to do it or get more money. Or that they just are so unorganized that they are not able to properly quote a person and they just misquoted me.

Went in from a recommendation beause I had bought a car that I didnt know was previously wrecked. They didnt charge and was straight up honest about it and helped me ALOT. I cant say enough good things about this shop! they came to my residence in copperas cove to look at my vehicle. had my vehicle towed to their location was having starting issues, It gets towed there and it starts just fine for them of course. Bradley the lead mechanic tells me they cant figure it out untill it doesnt start for them. one week later same issues, I give them a call they are at my place in 15mins, with a successful diagnoses. best shop ever,billion stars! they didnt try to fix a problem that wasnt there, they saved me hundreds of dollars and they did what they said they would do. dont get much better then that. thanks Sims automotive! highly recommend if your in the copperas cove/ Killeen area

Very thankful for Sims today. I received the news that my car needed work asap so I went directly to Sims, without an appointment. They made time for me, and were very kind about it. Went to get squeaky rear brakes checked out and was told that brake rotors, pads, caliper need replacing and given quote of near 2K. They took of tire and had a look. Was not told fee for inspection and was charged $45. This is way over a lot of places that would do free brakes inspections to give a quote or charge $20 to check brakes. Customers need to be told ahead of time charges. $45 for brake check is outrageous. I decided to get a second opinion as recommended by a friend. When the other place check the brakes they showed me that the uneven wear on the brake pads and rotor wear and recommended replacing just the rotors and pads. They tested and showed me that calipers were not catching and that brake lines were fine, park pad working fine. They recommended that calipers and lines do not need changing and also told me to look out for the front brake pads which will need replacing. The other shop did this inspection for free!!!I called to speak with Bradley (owner) to say that I should have been given options to just just the rotor and pads and not everything. If you get a quote to change your brakes and lines when you get an inspection from Sims, I strongly recommend you get a second opinion elsewhere. Reviews may show they do a good job but are they doing jobs that dont quite have to be down yet - and not tell the owner the different options.

Got a 5 tire rotation. Shop did the actual 5 tire rotation instead of the 4 tire rotation which has happened before.Checked alignment which showed only slightly out of toe but the tierod assembly was too rusted to ensure adjustment. Got a quote and declined.Good prices, honest work

Sims Automotive was requested to check the cause of a water leak. They found the reason and after researching for the required parts, provided an estimate to get the parts and complete the repair. They did get the parts but it was decided that we would do the repairs instead of Sims Automotive. We paid for the diagnostic work and requested to buy the parts from them even though they were not completing the repairs. They were cordial enough to allow this even though they had researched and then ordered the correct parts but was now not going to complete the repair.

Ive gone twice to Sims to fix issues in my car, one with the automatic braking system, and another to diagnose an issue with my car shaking. Both times they were able to quickly find the issue, solution, and repair my car and there were no problems after! Theyre great to work with and are very accommodating.

Workers are kind and respectful. Very professional at their jobs.

I want to thank Sims for helping me I definity the true problem to my vehicle. I took my car to another autoshop and the dealership. Sims confirmed what the dealership told me about my car. They were so helpful and saw the frustration that I was going through that they didnt charge me. My cars warranty and the dealership will be covering the fix on my vehicle but rest assured that I will take my other cars to Sims.

The shop was a great help as I needed Freon before a 2000 mile round trip to Omaha. I’ve had different shops over time to say ‘you need an overhaul’ when it’s a simple fix!Sims gave me the best answer “just Freon and replace a leaking valve which is normal on a 17 yr old vehicle” and they had me rolling in an hour! Went in for a diagnostic/smoke test. The owner personally took care to diagnose and demonstrate the problem with my vehicle. He then stayed the bottom line price for his shop to fix it, but never pushed it or made me feel pressured. His staff are very professional and honest. I highly recommend Sims auto for work to be done on a motor vehicle. I live in Killeen and the shop is out of the way for me but I have no problem going there to be shot straight and treated prefessionaly. God fearing and reasonable shop with excellent service and quality!

The gentleman at Bens Automotive are the best that have worked on my vehicles. They were honest about when they could get my vehicle in. When they did they called me to let me know exactly what was going on with it. On anther occasion I had to have a vehicle towed to their shop when they were just opening up, they let me know they could not get to it till the next day. Every repair was fixed correctly the first time!! Its just refreshing to deal with honest people these days that do not give off the vibe that they may be trying to cheat you.Bens is the best shop weve been to, and we have tried a few before them.

Dropped my SUV off at the scheduled 8 AM when they opened and yesterday he told me it should be done by the afternoon. I walked about 5 blocks to a restaurant for breakfast and had plans to spend the day at the library and tool around town. Before I could finish breakfast, Russell called and said it was done, that it was only the worn rear link bushings. Labor and parts were below the estimate he gave me the day before when I scheduled it. Nice location and building. Clean service bays and waiting area. I recommend and I will return if I need anything else done.

Took my 2013 Honda Fit here after they changed from Bens to Sims. They did an excellent job servicing the transmission without trying to sell me a Flush. I am very happy with them! Appointments are a couple days in advance though so keep that in mind.Just so yall know though, they do exactly what you tell them to without fussing around your car looking for an upsell. Brought my old 1991 Ford F-350 in and they didnt even look at the horribly gapped plugs or the busted shocks trying to find things to ream my wallet for. They just fixed what I asked them to which is pretty nice. If you expect them to Find things wrong with your car, then let them know you want it looked over.Sims is probably the only place Ill go to in Cove after some oil change place forgot the Add oil back part of the equation...

What I didnt like about this place is that when I went to pay for my oil change, he showed me the interior air filter that he changed and already charged me for. I could have done that for $20 myself. Then he says, I can put it in a bag for you to show your husband and he can see why I changed it. Like Im some kind of incompetent wife running around with a credit card. Wow.A little on the expensive side for a town this size. Clean waiting area.

My car was acting up so I brought it to bens, I didnt feel like trying to figure out what was wrong on my own then just through parts at it. I figured the professionals could figure it out quicker and more accurately than I could. I was told to do plugs and go from there, they wanted $80 to do the plugs. If I wanted to just start replacing parts I would have done it myself. When I picked it up I was also told that I should have a compression test done. I was dumb founded kinda thought that was obvious and would be part of the $95 diagnosis charge. So I brought it home and after finding a working Compression tester it took me all of 10 minutes to find out I have bad rings in cylinder 3. PS I also replaced the plugs and that did nothing. Im not really one to pay a garage $95 to have them do what autozone will do for free. Then after changing just guess what the problem is.
