Dr. Horton and his staff were absolutely amazing. As a new patient to his practice, I was overly impressed with the quality and thoroughness of care that I received, specifically in working with me on a strategy to deal with my overly sensitive teeth. Dr. Horton is pretty much a genius when it comes to delivering novacane shots in an absolute painless way as well. Mad skills skills right there!! Alex the hygentist was lovely and had the hands of a seasoned pro. Highly recommend Sandy Lake Dental to anyone out there with the fear of the dentist and/or highly sensitive teeth. Looking forward to my next cleaning... have never been able to say that before!

It’s very quick! The waiting area is wonderful and the staff are very polite. There is also an area with vintage video games for waiting. They seem family oriented and compromising! The dentists are nice and do a good job. Overall, it’s a good experience!

For the first time in my life, I can actually say I love going to the dentist :)Dr. Bonds is amazing!! So is his assistant Lacie. I couldn’t ask for a better dental experience. They were both AMAZING!! I went in for a filling, a root canal and a crown. Only ended up needing 2 fillings and a crown. I was super nervous but they helped assure me everything would be fine, which it was. No pain at all. I even drove almost 1 hr to get to them as I live in Crowley. The drive doesn’t matter to me for the exceptional service I received!! I will definitely be back and so will my kiddos :)Thanks a million!! Would recommend to anyone & everyone! Not a good experience all the equipments they used in my mouth were badly stinky and i was about to throw up.. first nurse and then Doctor also use the same stinky smelling equipments . don’t know why they don’t properly clean them before using it. Sadly It was my first and last experience with them not returning back.

Although I live in Highland Park, I have continued to use Dr. Horton and his team - despite having numerous, more convenient options. I have utilized Sandy Lake for routine care, as well as more extensive procedures (dental and periodontal). The quality of care is extraordinary. The administrative staff is superb. The team here is highly professional, but always friendly and caring. Sandy Lake is exactly what everyone should want from a professional relationship.

She made me feel right at home. The dentist, Dr. Bonds, was friendly and easy to talk to. The waiting room was nice, with lots of room to socially distance ourselves. But I didn’t have to wait longer than 5 minutes to be seen.Overall, I can’t recommend Sandy Lake Dental enough. I will definitely return and make this my dentist of choice.

For the first time in my life I actually enjoyed going to the Dentist! I researched quite a few dental offices, and chose this one because they got some of the best reviews for what I was looking for. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. I have ultra sensitive teeth and DAni, the hygienist, was perfect at helping calm my nerves and working with my sensitivity. I wasnt uncomfortable at all. Not for one second! Dr. Brandon Horton was funny and very personable and helped drill down my front crown that was longer than my other teeth. He also helped shave the back of it so it wouldnt grind against my front tooth as much when I sleep. For the first time in over 20 years my mouth feels normal again! I also got fitted for a night guard that same day, due to my grinding. I cant say enough how amazing everyone at this office is and how professional and caring they are.

I’m so happy that I did! She went above and beyond to help me verify my insurance and the customer service was A1. You can tell she really cared. That made a world of difference. I have always hated going to the dentist and I still do l, but this place is the best dentistry I have been to. Nice and friendly folks and my main thing honest. They didn’t try to force me to do deep cleaning, explained exactly what was going on to me and just cleaned my teeth. This will be our family dentist from now on.

I was not happy to be charged an extra 15.00 for PPE. They said up front insurance would not pay for it and they did not provide an itemized receipt for justification of this charge. Other area dentists are not charging this high amount and most are not charging at all. Waiting room had five patients waiting so in an hours time they received 90.00, on top of other charges. I like Dr Horton but not happy with fees.

Ive never had to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment, the costs are explained clearly and in advance, and the professionalism of the staff is always evident. Even those procedures that are less than pleasant are carried out with a calm and low-key manner, which greatly relaxes this otherwise anxious dental patient. My whole family gets their dental care here - its the best office weve ever found. Highly recommended.

The nice receptionist told me to come in at 11 and 1 hour and $100 later, the little ingrate of a tooth was presented to me in a little plastic keepsake box. Dr. Sandy and the dental hygienist were so gentle and reassuring and responded to my every twitch of pain with an extra dose of anesthetic and a little arm squeeze. Seriously guys, best dentists ever!

Dr Bonds does things at Ease! This shows that he has lot of experience, expertise and confidence!! He gives injections that are almost pain free! Front desk is amazingly nice, their billing has best prices! Dental assistant Britney is knowledgeable and accommodative. Past few months I fixed several items! Patrick did my exam and was also very nice and personable, probably nicest dentist I’ve met. Will be asking for these two for future visits. To top it off Bobbi was able to squeeze me in during my lunch and Maggie and Patrick got me out in right at an hour. It was perfect!(Review from 4 years ago) I havent been to the dentist in over a decade and had to get a cleaning before getting braces next door. Lacy was so sweet and very gentle with my cleaning. She explained every tool before she used it and told me exactly what I should expect before each step. I was nervous and she kept me at ease throughout the entire process.The office was clean and the ladies at the front desk are pleasant each time I come in. My mother also attends and she has been pleased with the work shes had done over the years.

We have been going to Sandy Lake Dental for 10 years, and we love everyone in this office! My kids actually enjoy and look forward to going! Plus, it doesnt hurt that they have a game room for the kiddos while they wait! 😉

If you set up an appointment 6 months ahead but do not confirm when they call 3 days ahead, they will remove you from the schedule. When I said it was summer and we were on vacation and work and did not respond to email or call, they did not apologize. Instead said that everyone else confirms, it is your responsibility. Made me feel like a bad guy. It shows we were just numbers not customers. In addition, I paid lots for deep cleaning and cavities. Because they send out mass fliers, it really is a factory. I am actually less important than a brand new customer.

Professional yet caring and great customer service! I differentiate the professionalism, caring and customer service because sometimes with great professionalism you find cold, clinical and not very personable. From the front office staff to the hygienists, dental assistants and dentists, they are all so friendly, fun, caring and compassionate and the customer service is just fantastic. I talked about a medication that I was given that may be effecting my dental issues and when I checked out Kristy and Mark came out to talk to me about Finance and Insurance to make sure I understood everything I needed to know about the cost of the proposed procedure as well as making sure to collect the appropriate data for the insurance billing. They really made me feel like they were making their best effort to ensure payment by my insurance company so my out of pocket would be the least possible amount.I have to admit though, Dr. Shad Hattaway is my favorite! I had some problems that were very subjective and not something that could be seen or measured by xray or other standard dental means. Dr. Shad stuck with me and used his past experience with cancer patients (even though that was not my specific problem) to develop a treatment plan and order medications or oral rinses that helped tremendously!!! I had symptoms that were so difficult to describe, even to myself, and in spite of that Dr. Shad was patient and so friendly through many visits until I eventually didnt need to come back. Then I was so pleasantly surprised to receive not one but two follow up calls to check in on my issues. He also left a sample for me to pick up at a later time so I could try it if I needed it and let him know how it worked later. It has just been such a relief to feel like I have someone looking out for me and caring how things are going at times other than during my once every six-month cleaning! Sandy Lake Dental definitely does that for me! I recommend them on other social media all the time, so I decided it was high time that I make sure an amazing review is posted here too!
