Came to pick up my order, everyone at the front desk were kind and helpful, got my order right away. Why the bad review? Dude in a black Frys shirt walks by and I say excuse me twice to get his attention, he walks over not looking at me and I ask where they have power outlet splitters. he walks me over about 10 ft. saying its in the other newly renovated section of the store, pointing to the other room the size of an entire supermarket. I then asked him which aisle? He gives up and says I dont know - why is your useless @$$ here then?
Bigger than a Best Buy. Only electronics (TVs, computers, laptops, accessories, modems, home appliances, etc.) store left to visit and look and try out stuff in person. Will match internet prices and will deliver for free to compete with Amazon.Staff is knowledgeable. There is a cafe, but prices are high for what is being served.
Place is dead. Most isles are bare but usually I dont mind. I still liked to go for their selection of movies. However, today Frys officially lost my business here, and any other location. The disgruntled staff was just super rude. Ill rather pay extra and go to Best buy from now on.
This store was probably the most depressing store I have ever been in in a long time... there is nothing in stock, everything is outdated and there are hardly any employees even working! no one asks to help.. there’s hardly even any customers. I’m not even sure how this place is even making any money at all because there’s nothing even a value in the store... everything that would be a value is either sold out, not in stock... there’s a lack of pretty much everything that would be useful in electronics store. I cannot believe that a building of this size even is standing or even could even pay the light bills to stay functioning. Don’t waste your time.
I havent been here in a while and was surprised how the store has changed. The front section when you walk in now has phone items. The main section is being remodeled so about 1/3 is blocked off. I didnt see name brand items there. I was looking randomly for a cell phone cover and they only had generic ones. I then remember I needed a mouse for work and found one. No Logitech mouses here. Mostly generic and or local companies. Im not sure Id go back. The check out area no longer has snacks, but hand sanitizer, thermometers, gloves, and face masks.
Ive always loved going to Frys, for audio or computer electronics. This is still a good store, hoping that it can stay in business.
Fry’s, say ain’t so! Sad to see this wonderful store close forever. Ambazon and covid have doomed this business. 😢
While its a sad shell of what was once a great bastion of tech. The deals on what they do have is equal to or better than similar stuff on Amazon. Unusual brands like Hyundai and Vivitar seem to be the bulk of it, but Ill buy a Hyundai memory card, and a Vivitar ring light, for the same price as online to have it now.And they have the old stand-by cabling and electronics needs that are very necessary if youre an organization and re-wiring type.
Didnt they were closing. Northgate store in Sacto been closed and now I see why. I thought it was under re construction or something. I was in the Roseville store week prior to them closing and didnt see any indication that they were closing. Shocked...yes. I, and Im sure others would have loved the 10, 20, 30, 40% off sales on various items. Good-Bye Frys...Ill miss you.
Straight up fever dream walking in here. The store is over at least 3/4 empty, the only kinda full areas are computer components and TV/Home appliances. I remember the old Frys, and Im sad to see it come to this. No rude employees tho, they just all seem kinda stressed.
Even though Frys is going out business they are fantastic people. I walked in with my fiance and they had all the cologne and perfume on sale. Any bottle $5.00 dollars????????!!!!!! Im not joking. It was hard not to spend 300 and resale.
Frys is a shadow of its former business. The shelves are practically empty. Limited staff, few customers. It appears they are either conserving energy or using half the lighting to hide the current condition of the store.
Fries is a good place to get deals on electronics cameras in different accessories like tvs radios and everything you need for your Home Office at home
It is sad to see frys in such a state. The same lady has been working at the register forever tho and shes super awesome. Im always happy when she rings out, its never a hassle.Amazon and covid really took their toll.
No staff. No products. It looks like a post-armageddon grocery store with hardly anything on the shelves. I got 3 different stories why. The best ridiculous reason was a new vendor, but would they really choose to keep their shelves empty waiting for new products while losing customers? Why would I come back to a store I can’t trust and who thinks it’s ok for me to waste my time?To walk into an empty store with no one at the electronics counter or computer counter tells another story.
This place was very very great. I encourage people to buy things from here because it might go on bankruptcy. This place was once amazing and had many cool goodies, but due to COVID-19, the place had dropped down horribly on sales. PLEASE go here and save the store!! It really deserves that since it STILL has plenty of amazing goods. Price matching there still exists as well.
Its a sad shadow of Its former self, as of December 2020 Frys stock is as empty as desolate as something youd see in a post apocalyptic movie. Its hard to think how theyll recover after Covid, if they last that long. Its hard to blame the employees dismissive attitude at the store given the situation. All in all, stick to Best Buy for your computer components, if its a niche hobby though, they might still have something here.
This place has improved a lot over the the last two years. Located at 1695 Willow Pass Rd, Concord, CA 94520
This review is on nov 2020, store looks like going out of business but is not. Still employees will fiercely avoid you even just by looking confused from far away. Hopefully they will get better service when new products arrive.
So-called electric store. 10 or so red shirted employees up front, maybe two of them slowly working their registers with a line like 15 customers deep. Finally get called up, incompetent cashier cant scan my item (a single Nintendo Switch case) so she keys in the UPC. Price comes up incorrect, I politely tell her the correct price and she responds coarsely for this, ooh no, that could not be the price; anyway that whole section is a mess so you probably just saw the wrong tag; I tell her if shes not going to look it up I dont want it and she just throws the item into a bin. I almost just left, never to return (only there because I happened to be eating out with family earlier in the evening), but I did go back to confirm the label matched the UPC on the package. Complete garbage, save yourself the trip and just buy online -- beyond a total lack of customer service the pace is just depressing, and their prices are almost always higher than online and even other retailers.
Decided to give this place another shot, and I was extremely disappointed. Maybe 5 employees scattered throughout the entire store, and the shelves are disorganized and almost empty. Missing price tags on lots of items, and incorrect tags on others. Like another reviewer said, Frys is going out of business but refuses to admit it.The picture is an example of what almost every aisle in the entire store looks like.
Never ever, ever ever, go to this run down Frys rude as lady in the back, blond hair and mad at her own sorry decision she made, products there seems to be none on the shelves and it looks depressing
I was reluctant to purchase here as to all the negative reviews; however, my experience here was fantastic. I found what I needed online and purchased for in store pick up. Service was very quick and employees very friendly. No issues whatsoever.
Good deals. Looks like they dont care about the store anymore. As good as it can get. Staff is nice.
I prefer the store how it is these days, much more calm and mellow. Not a whole lot of noise. Dont have to wait in long lines.
While the staff will tell you they arent going out of business, the floor inventory suggests otherwise. This place used to be a beehive of activity, but no more. They may be running extra lean due to COVID. If you need anything, call them before making the trip down there. A lot of vacant floor/shelf space there.
Lots of cool stuff didnt have what I wanted today
They have the store almost empty. No point to go shopping at the store. I will suggest to do your shopping online. If you want to check and see if they have new stock order to pickup at store then you can check. Couple of people who work there told me that it is going to be a while before they get merchandise in the store. I really hope they get their act together so, we can go and purchase in person items that rather are better to go get and see phisicaly there than wait to get them on the mail and have to returned them or exchange them.
I miss the old Frys. You used to be able to get almost anything there. Basically a giant radio shack! But now they almost nothing. Zero computers, zero TVs, zero cameras, almost no video games or movies. Very said to see. Hopefully they pull through and restock the shelves. Christmas is coming and thats my go to place.
Bought a 32 inch TV for my daughter on her birthday. One month later, the screen stopped working. The store manager would not replace the TV. Wow terrible customer service!!!!!
Fry’s! I will miss you! I found all I need here when I was kid. I can’t believe this is happening
I dont know if Frys is going out of business or what but they barely have anything and there is zero customer service Id rather go to Best Buy or Amazon Enterprise used to be my absolute most favorite store in the whole wide world its heartbreaking now to go inside and see what its become
Very little inventory and no one to help customers. Definitely not like it used to be sad
This store is in the process of remodeling and most items are not available for in store purchase. You may want to try buying online and picking up at the store or shipping from the Frys website until the remodel is complete.
Going down, down, down.. 10 years ago this was THE place to get technology. Not anymore. Only reason to go is for do some archeological shopping investigation.
Monstrous warehouse, easily 5 times the size it needs to be. Horrible aisle labeling, no idea where anything might be until you go down an aisle. Pretty much no staff anywhere to ask questions or directions of.
A mere shell of its former self. What they need to do until they figure out a direction is close half the store off and fit all the merchandise in a smaller footprint. It would make it more interesting and not quite as exhausting. I hope they figure something out. I miss frys.
I love Frys! They have great prices, good service, good website, easy store pick-up & its fun to just wander the store just to see what goodies u can find. Always something. From electronics to domestic items to snacks to toys. I always find something good or educate myself on a upcoming purchase. Thanks Frys**
Had a loose ram stick i thought i had clicked in. Tried reslotting on my own a few times, apparently it wasnt in all the way. Technician got it to post in a minute by pushing it in all the way and i was thrilled.
Store is empty ...very few products. Sales personal said still staying open. News announcement s says stores are closing not sure if it included Concord Ca Feb 2021
Still has the electronic basics. Often a better and quicker alternative to shopping online
Sad how far its fallen. It needs to be more like MicroCenter but.... Actually have more stores.
Im pretty confident this place is going out of business. Nothing has been restocked the past couple of months. Location is a ghost town with hardly any products. Dont waste your time looking for products here, either shop online or go to Best Buy in Pleasant Hill.
Frys I went to was restructuring store so most of the stock was missing. I cant answer regarding other stores. I went to Concord site
This once bustling store, filled with an incredible supply of all things electronic, games, small appliances, and a marvelous selection of As Seen on TV merchandise, and further crowded by employees and customers drawn to such products and services, trying best to maneuver around all these goodies in sale filling aisles and walk spaces has indeed become a veritable mausoleum; a ghost town still somehow trudging along despite few employees, customers or goods to sell.I hadnt been to Frys Electronics on Concord in many a month but found myself there looking for an odd computer cord, almost certain Id find it there for sure. But when I entered the store I was liberally shocked by the empty space its become. Shelves are bare, many being disassembled. Items are still displayed, but no employees around helping with questions or coaxing a sale. I could find what I was needing, and no one to ask its location. When finally located this cord, there was only one remaining, the most expensive one, of course. Just my luck.I feel sorry most for the remaining employees still thinking, hoping, its only the supply issue management obvious tell them it is. The checkout clerk I dealt with clearly didnt understand her days there as an employee were nearly done.As I left, I told her the holidays were mere weeks away, and I hope the store picks up. Her reply was: its always great around here for Christmas, cant wait.I just walked away, no security checking my receipt, and kinda knew Id never be coming back without some Christmas miracle. Good luck to all at Frys.
Quick and easy gamma order without any problems
Its so sad to see this business close down. 😞
Simply just Okay. Not to bad and not to great.
This place has been going out of business for a long time and its about time. Terrible selection and bad customer service.
Cool place. ... Cords, equipment for stuff. Good prices
Found some cool things and somethings I needed..
I went to Frys in Concord and was shocked that three weeks after Black Friday all the shelves were completely empty (no exaggeration). There was nothing left to shop for. I dont know why the employees showed up for work or better why did the store even open. I have shipped Dr us for years but after today no more. Hello Best Buy.
No more computers for sale in store, place feels abandoned. Shelves nearly empty.
Love this store. They have everything you can think of. Big store. Good customer service. Lines to check out sometimes can be a tad long as they don’t always have enough checkers. Overall, clean, good service, products always well stocked. Recommend for sure.
This store is beyond cluttered, disorganized, and barren. Not only does the building look like a prison from the outside. I saw all of four associates during my short time here. Even their selection of products is absolutely abysmal. I would strongly recommend against visiting this store for your electronic needs.Edit 10/11/19I dont even know why I torture myself with going here. Its even worse than before! The -only- reason why I came here is that they had something I needed. Good luck with trying to find anything, or find any staff. With how bad it is, there should be Going out of business flyers everywhere.
The store was completely empty. There is nothing and the little inventory is overpriced. They need to either stock up the store or have their prices compete with Amazon. Very disappointed.
I’ve been here multiple times, but it seems that every time I come in there is no one working. If there are an abundance of staff they are all walking around swiftly and don’t really seem to care if the customers have questions or need help finding things. Last time I was here I had to walk around the store for 10 minutes looking for help in what looked like the aftermath of a raided store after a zombie apocalypse. It was kind of ridiculous. I only go here because I live near, the closest one other than this one is in Fremont.
Shelves are pretty bare and they dont price match unless the website says shipped and sold by specific website
This place is a skeleton of its formal glory.
This was the go-to store for any tech geek, CV computer builder or electronic technician. Sadly this store and its sister stores have gone to pits. In my visit last month many of the shelves were empty. Want to build a computer? Dont come here. Zero stock. Need a flash drive? They only had a few choices with many pegs empty. Ask an employee if theyre going out of business, they say Management hasnt told them anything. Really sad.
Im pretty sure they are going out of business. Even though the staff(which wasnt much) doesnt know about it.
Hair products are wide range and affordable with high quality standards
The store is at least half empty of stock. In certain parts it is almost completely empty as evidenced by the photos I posted. They insist they are not going out of business, but apparently pretty much every Fry’s location is this way as well.
Promo Codes, low prices and great savings, I enjoy the time spent in Frys as money well spent and attention to detail customer service. No pressure on the warranty and very helpful personal. I ordered online because theres always an opportunity to explore the different areas.
Staff was helpful. Item I wanted was in stock and with a variety of choices and decently priced.
So cool! Well priced cables and adapters!
Terrible, it looks like an indoor flea market. No computer components, no contemporary electronics, no home/car entertainment systems.
I I have done too many times. Have a list of what you want to get before going in. There is just too much great stuff in there. Which is rather funny that I say that because the last time i visited that store there was so many empty shelves and empty sections of the store. When I asked the clerk where everything was and inquiried as to whether or not the store might be closing down. And she said, it was the tariffs effecting everything. They werent shutting their doors for good. Whew. I was glad to hear that.
One of my favorite places to go it appears to be closing because shelves were empty and wasnt as many people there working. Too sad to see a fun place disappearing before my eyes. I know I know it happened to RadioShack first.
You can tell they are shutting down (even if they dont admit to it). This is a shadow of what it used to be. Only half (maybe) of the lights are on. The snack area is closed. The shelves are mostly empty.I went to the original Frys in Sunnyvale, then to its replacement down the road (they outgrew the original location), and also to the first one in Fremont (Warm Springs). I would buy chips (ICs) and chips (potato) and Jolt Cola - ah, those were the days!Sad to see a big empty building with half of the lights on and a handful of employees.
They are very low on stock. Hardly worth going.
Rude employees and no stock. Not going to ever make another purchase here again.
Came to buy electronics they had good deals.
Huge store with little staff to direct you. You need to wander around hoping to find your product or a service associate. Very dark lighting and high shelves is little dungeon like atmosphere. Has large selection of goods. Slow checkout but nice cashier.
It was empty. We found only one motherboard. We were set to build a gaming system and found next to nothing in the shelves. We thought that the time between the holidays would be a great time to shop. So dont go after Christmas expecting to find anything. We looked at the games and it was heavily picked over. It felt like they were closing forever.
A heaven for all the electronics lovers. This place has all the things you need. The staffs here are very knowledgeable and friendly. They also do price match to keep the business running.Would definitely recommend if you have not already been here
Love this place! This is not just a big boy toy store, but for the entire family. Every time I walk in here to buy one thing I walk out with 10. You can get lost in here. I especially love looking at the three aisles they have dedicated just to, As Seen On TV merchandise. Full of great deals and friendly people happy to help you!
Sad. I use to live at this place I loved this store and now sadly it a shell and looks about out of business with no new inventory its a slow liquidation.
Customer service refused to see why laptop was not charging. Would not even open it up and see maybe a wire was disconnected. Asked about buying a screwdriver and doing it myself, was told they dont have any screwdrivers in stock. WOW, no wonder people go online and elsewhere for the help.
Its Frys- they got everything. Finding staff isnt always easy but you will find everything on your list. The store is huge so window shopping could take hours away from your life. The lines go pretty fast & they always have a good deal. Check it out
I love frys, miss the way it was before covid . I hope they make it through.
I never thought I would write a bad review about Frys. And it really does hurt my soul to do so, but its going down. Has all the hallmarks of a business thats going under but just wont admit it. The shelves are pretty bare, the gimmicky stuff seems to be the only stock they have in any meaningful numbers. Its not the Frys I grew up with, not anymore. So long Frys Ill miss you.
