Want to take a cool picture with a jet just over your head - go to the north end of the airfield and you will see a bridge thats just several yards from the landing/takeoff airstrip. Flights arent that frequent but if you do catch a big private jet from a ground angle as it takes off or lands it will be hard to beat. At night you will see some homeless people and some might look scary to the average sheltered person but to me they look harmless.

I was riding a plane in the present and I love riding a plane it is fun we can even fly and I love traveling on the plane so I can ride it.

Was here some years back when they had some of the old, historical planes parked here. I think, if you wanted to, you could pay to go up in one of the planes.Cool.

Easy access, near lodging, businesses and shopping. Parking and observer area (with port-a-john) provided to watch and listen to the air traffic.During the year, rare and unique airplanes and stunt squadrons will come through here. The airoirt was also a location at the end of American Graffiti.

Its a great place to watch planes land and takeoff. Its also fun to see some of the planes doing go-arounds, or roughly landing. Great place

Nice people and staff, very educational and informative- great spaces.However not sure if the individual was a staff, but he kept invading my space as if he knew me and tried to offer me lessons despite my declines repeated times. Felt pressured.

I went through ground school and got all my training hours in at Buchanan, so Ill always consider this my home airport. Reporting 10 miles out over the Pittsburg stacks is like coming home.When earthbound, its always fun to stop by the observation area at Buchanan and do some dashboard dining or let the kids play in the new play area. Theres an outdoor speaker tuned to 119.7 blasting out the tower chatter for all within earshot to hear.

Great place to learn to fly. Plenty of FBOs to choose from. Receive training, checkouts, Biannauls, FAA DE on the field. And the Airport is not as complicated as I hear from other pilots from nearby airports. Simple really, 4 runways, 2 each running parallel where you may run into trouble is when taxiing, bring an airport diagram and ask for progressive taxi.

Great airport with a kids park and place to sit for lunch and listen to ATC and pilots!!
