First time and I will say it was really outstanding. The atmosphere was truly nice and all staff members were really polite an welcoming. This is by far one of the most organized barbershop I’ve ever been to hands down. Really big thank you to my barber Mrs. Garcia great job, and will be back to support this establishment.

Appointment started at 1pm, the barber wasnt ready and made me wait 10 minutes before starting then did a rush job on my haircut and bread trim because he had another appointment at 130pm. The lines on my beard were so uneven I had to shave it off. Will never be returning which is sad because its very close to the Reunion area.

Ive had my hair cut but a few barbers at Box State and never had a bad cut. But for the last couple of years, my son and I have been getting cuts exclusively from Jose. Hes a barber who really cares about the quality of his work. Hes busy with clients but always remembers exactly how I like my hair. Everyone at Box State is very friendly and you can expect a quality cut from their staff.

The vibes are always on point and as some one who looks at the barber shop as a get away and pampering my self (yes ladies men need it to and this is where it happens) Jorge goes more then above and beyond with customer service rapport and making my experience the best it can be. If you getting your hair cut anywhere else in Denver besides Box state and if you going to any other barber in town besides my man Jorge. Your in the wrong care my guy. I’ve been going to Jorge M. For about 2 years already. He is outgoing, professional, and takes his time cutting hair. I drive an extra 15 minutes to get haircuts from him. 10/10 recommend.

Ive been three times to get my beard trimmed.Overall the capability of the barbers is very good. They trimmed how I wanted, didnt over do anything, they were friendly and welcoming.The big issue I have is with scheduling.Every time Ive been I had an appointment, everytime Ive had to wait. I get that things run over, but I fit this into my schedule where I can, and to show up and be told itll be a few minutes is fine, but its usually 10 or more, and most recently at 25 minutes past my appointment time another customer is still in the chair.I make my schedule out in advance so I can get done what I need to, at work, home and elsewhere. I try to keep my schedule so I do hold others to the same standard.If youre ok with a wait, Id say its a good place to go. I havent seen any of the other issues mentioned here and in fact found the place respectably clean and well kept.If you dont mind the wait, Id recommend them otherwise. Unfortunately for me, I need my schedule intact.

My Son always goes here and is completely satisfied so I asked home to set a appointment, he got me hooked up with Jorgé he was running behind which is kinda typical with barbers 💈 but he got me in the chair and did a great job very clean razor shave and he cleaned my shaggy hair up into a smooth groomed haircut 💇‍♂️ !!! Outstanding service! Joel Valadez did my haircut and took his time giving me exactly what I wanted. This aint the chop shop chain barber shops that rush you in and out with a bowl cut. These guys know what theyre doing and are proud of their work. They offer straight razor faids, shaves, beard shaping etc. You can simply walk in or setup an appointment with an individual barber.

Jose Rios is the greatest young barber in town. He’s has always hooked me up with the cleanest cuts. The guys at Box State are all talented and the environment in there is very welcoming and family-like. I love going there for my hair cuts. And anyone who has left negative remarks about Jose is probably just a nappy haired gross liar who breaks my barber’s clippers after one cut anyways. Ain’t nothin wrong with his razor, boy. Wash your greasy head. But anyways, BEST BARBER SHOP IN THE AREA. Oh and also, if you have to let people know that you “always tip your barber,” you are probably lying about that as well.

Seems ok, The work they did was good --Not sure on presentation of the shop seems a little scetchy especially the entrance of the door doesnt look like its Open--does not have that inviting look. It looks like a secret club. Looking for different barbershop.

I used to go to the Tim(ALWAYS A1, VERY GOOD) to cut my hair but he is always booked.. not speaking for every barber there BUT The Last 3 Times I’ve gotten my haircut by (JOSE RIOS) it has resulted in bad razor/hair Bumps. I’m not sure if the clippers are Dirty or what but I’ve never in my LIFE !!! gotten so many bumps and cuts on my head. I always tip my barber, I Didnt Deserve this . I was a loyal customer but I won’t be back 💯

I came here after hearing nothing but great things. The customer service was good, the environment was clean, but I have never had such a bad haircut. I was even telling the guy how I just had recovered from a bad haircut and he somehow did worse than that. I have a trip to California coming up and truly am dissatisfied with this haircut. The guy tried his best, but it’s just a really bad haircut. I don’t understand how something that was so straight forward got so misaligned. I tip good, I always pay cash. I don’t know what I did to deserve this haircut.

Box state is right after theyre done you should put your head in a box ask for a trim on my beard which was well over 8 inches long cut 3/4 of it off and shaved it in I look like a marine now. Not what I asked for or what I told but after they get started cutting it doesnt matter then on top of that as Im leaving they start speaking a foreign language in front of me like I dont know whats going on. Dont ever go here, think of what they want not what you want.
