Expensive, slow, inefficient, dirty interiors, unacceptable service and an insult to have them in Ft Benning. Uber and Lyft should be allowed on base to provide service members a better, faster and more reliable service. 23+ dlls for less than 2 mile drive.

A cab business that makes you walk to find their cab. I thought cabs come to you not the other way around. What’s the purpose then.

I was on Fort Benning. Called for a cab. He was less then five miles away. Hour later I called back. Dispatcher apologized and said he picked up another person instead. So she sent another that was on main post. 10 mins away. Again they didnt pick me up. I waited in my broken down car for 4 hours before I found a ride out. So yeah this is proof why Yellow cab should not be the only can service allowed on post.

This taxi service is great. The taxi drivers are really nice and helpful and they really know the area so you can be dropped off where u wanna be when u wanna be there.

I’ve had great experiences and then I’ve waited 3 hours for a cab. I do wish they weren’t the only ones you could use on post.

I have used this company twice.1) They took 1hr and 15 min to arrive2) 3 hours on a Saturday morning and then they didn’t pick me up. i found an alternate means of transportation after 3 hours.The customer service on the phone is rude and non-committal to the time of arrival, most likely due to a lack of competition on Fort Benning.I’m uncertain if their faults are due to management at the ownership level, failure to hire the number of employees necessary to meet demand (in which case a competitor should be allowed to take place), or those who manage the allocation of time to each ride and prioritization on a timeline

They cost five times the amount of what they should cost and theyre not very friendly and theyre not very personable and this was before the pandemic I dont use them at all but if you are in the military for fort Benning and you want to get on the military base and a cab those are the only cabs allowed in otherwise I would never use them they cost too much money and they are not very nice Uber charges five times less than they would

The drivers are terrible and never on time. This morning I set my ride for 6:15 before I needed to be at work dude was 20 minutes late and didn’t know where to go and had the nerve to ask me for directions because he lost 😡 they need to close this business down they deserve 0 stars

Charged me $20 to go about 3 miles down the road. Could have sworn the sign on the door said $2 per mile. Then on the way back they charged my friend $18. They just make up the price as they feel their time was worth. The cabs smelled terrible too like dirty gym socks. Terrible!

Homeboy was 28 minutes late to my pick up time. I called the number incase they forgot about me and the lady on the phone was very sweet, but otherwise it was ridiculous. The cabs smell like cigarettes and don’t seem very clean either

Over 2+ hour wait times, rude and unprofessional, dont answer phones and continually lie about wait times when, on the rare occasion, they do answer their phones.Walking is preferential.

The driver was super unprofessional and looked like he hadnt showered for a few days. Super rude to me and my buddy for no reason. Also, the interior of the taxi was disgusting. So I wanted to give this company a fair try despite reading all the reviews. Basically, let’s just say that they were all right. As soon as the dispatcher picked up, she was screaming at me from beginning to end. Very rude especially since we are new to Georgia and a part of the military. I won’t ever call again or recommend someone.

Waited a whole 50 minutes at the laundry mat to take a quick ride somewhere else on post about a couple miles away, only for them to not even show up. Called them after 20 minutes to see what the deal was and was told just to wait. Two cabs had passed by after that call. Only caught a ride back to the barracks after being picked up by a passing cab on my walk back.Horrible service. Overpriced rides. Only saving grace is the drivers themselves and being cooperative and friendly to the passengers.Not my first gripe with them either. They’ve almost made me late to formations a couple times in the past.Only reason anyone even uses these is to get around post or on/off post. I spoke with the lady on the dispatch and she was EXTREMELY rude. She did not send out a cab to pick us up and refused to send a cab nice we called multiple times. I would avoid using this cab service at all costs, because they will leave you stranded with NO HELP at all.

My cab never showed up. I gave them the correct address. I tried to call them back to confirm my cab and no one answered.

Unfortunately the only cabs that can take you into ft Benning. Some of their cabs smell like heavy smoke. Charging soldiers a lot for little rides. I waited at the visitor center over an hour. They pick up soldiers as they go so unless your location is convenient for them you will probably wait until they have time for you.

Had a very bad experience when it came to Ft. Benning Yellow Cab service. Had a hit time of 2030 and I called 1850 thinking it was more than enough time for a cab to show up...nope. we called multiple times as the hour came closer but all they can tell us is that it was on its way. Uber came through around 2011 and yet no Yellow Cab still.I shouldnt have to wait over an hour, this was absolutley ridiculous.

How do you rate taxi service when you call them forty five minutes early of your pick up time and forty five miles minutes after your pick time no one still showed. From other ratings I see, Columbus really could use a good taxi company. Yellow cab has a reputable name and the Columbus branch has failed the name. Let you know how Warrior Cab turns out.

I called and scheduled a taxi pick up the night before. The morning of the pick up the taxi was not there at the scheduled time. In the past they were normally 10 minutes early. However, this time they were over 40 minutes late. If I was trying to catch a flight, I would have been screwed because of their lateness. This time around I have to try and make up significant travel time to reach my overall destination on time.

Only used them because I had too. Only cab company allowed on Fort Benning. All they do is over charge soldiers who have no other choice. Ride sharing apps arent allowed on base. Pretty sure the owner is retired military who was able to get an exclusive contract with Fort Benning.

This might be one of the most poorly ran companies I’ve ever had the displeasure of doing business with. It’s a shame the way they exploit soldiers and overcharge them with shady practices. Like running vehicles with no meter and getting a different price for the same location depending on the driver. Severely over priced.

Rude

Things seemed to have improved, more friendlier staff and drivers. Ms Diane and Muhammad are doing what it takes to make the changes to improve Yellow Cab for the better.

The level of incompetence shown by this business is a new found low. Late for scheduled ups, rude, and always find a way to increase the fair from its posted amount. The fact that they hold a monopoly on transport on a mainly training base, show the lack of over sight by the post leadership that is allowing this to continue.

My solider scheduled a pick-up from the Columbus airport and was told that the cab would arrive in 10 minutes. He needed to be back for formation within the next 2 hours (plenty of time from airport to the base). 40 minutes pass and still no cab. My soldier called after waiting 20 minutes and was greeted by a rude staff member who in short did not care if he makes his formation and said I hope you can and how its not their problem. They continued to give him false wait times. Fortunately, my soldier was able to find a ride with another solider. Very unpatriotic of Yellow Cab to tell a solider they do not care about him making formation and being unprofessionally late. My soldier had to call and cancel his pick-up.

Worst cab service. Do not use them. Stay away. I was told by the dispactcher there would be a cab service available. After realizing there was not one coming. I decided to call the company to check on the whereabouts. Then I was told that there were no cabs in the area and that the dispatcher before lied. How about that for integrity! IT is clearly shown that this company is not the same as they use to be.

Terrible Cab. if you’re in the city of Columbus I highly recommend you use an Uber. Several times I have called for a cab and waited hour +. Operater was rude when I called back to ask the status of my cab that I called for an hour ago .

Due to the coordinator telling the driver the wrong location, I was late, missed my flight, and was unable to get to where I needed to go. For the price you have to pay, I’d expect better care, especially since they are the only transportation off and on Fort Benning.

We waited an hour for them to show up. This is the worst cab company I have ever seen in my life. I will never use them again in my life. Also after waiting 30 minutes I called to find out where my cab was they were rude. I feel disrespected every time I have to ride with them

Left my bag with Oakley sunglasses I just purchased in a vehicle and moments after I exited the vehicle there gone. Cab service says theres nothing there all as there being highly unhelpful and rude.

This Rent-A-Ride Co. holds the exclusive contract to serve the Ft. Benning area, so this seems to be its Main Priority.Still, though, the Co. offers cab service to the civilian community of Columbus at competitive prices...

If I could not give them a star I would! Unfortunately this is the only cab company we are able to use and they are worthless. Called asking for a cab 20 minutes passed it never came so I called back to see what happened they said it would be right there. Thirty minutes later I called they hung up on me. We kept calling, and even started walking back when they finally came to get us after a hour and fourty minutes and tried having us pay full price, and taking us all the way around post the long way where the speed limit is 15. The worst experience I have ever had.

Unfortunately this is the only Cab company that is allowed on Fort Benning, and it is the worst. They overcharge you and also change the prices as they go. Tried calling twice to resolve the issue but no luck because they hung up in my face. I went to the same place two days in a row and the prices were different each time. The only reason I am giving a one star is because it doesnt allow me to leave it blank. It is a shame how they overpriced our military members when they are then only cab company allowed to Ft. Benning. Instead of being greatful of the men and women fighting for their freedom they are taking advantage of the soldier that are away from home and are not familiar with the area. Do not call Yellow Cab if you are a soldier at Fort Benning! They charged my son $92 for a 2.5 mile ride. When I called them to dispute, the A-hole that answered the phone laughed and hung up on me. Tell your soldiers to beware!

Horrible but expected unfortunately from cab services these days. Especially around military bases. Travel two miles and it’s for some reason costs us $20 bucks. This is just horrible to take advantage of service members like this and even worse that the military sends us to these places and doesn’t allow us a rental car thus forcing us to pay these obsence charges anytime we need to go anywhere to live or act like normal human beings.Anyways this taxi company sucks and charges wayyy too much for a trip. Don’t use them and call Uber.

Took 50. Mins to pick me up when they said 15-20 mins. Once in the cab the guy didnt talk at all, and then didnt drop me off where I asked. He said since he had another customer at this place he was dropping me off here and wouldnt take me to the desired location. They are lucky ft benning doesnt allow Uber to come on post otherwise they would be out of business.

Always take at least 20 to 30 minutes to show up, even on short trips from their usual stand by spot. Flat rate is ridiculous for a trip: 2 miles will cost 9 dollars instead of the 10 that a 5 mile trip would cost.I dont know that makes sense.

Absolutely horrendous. Myself and four others were trying to get back to Fort Benning by a specific time, and they sent the cab late. It wasnt large enough to fit all of us either, even though I specifically requested one for five people. The customer service is beyond rude and quite frankly I can see why taxi companies are going out of business. If the Army allowed Uber and Lyft on post I would take them in a heartbeat.

If you are Miliary, take the useless cab to the Infantry Museum then call Uber or Lyft. Take advantage of young military people on base. Charging rediculous money for even a short ride. Then u whine and take pictures when Uber takes your ride. Get use to it and plan quickly for your next job. Uber and Lyft drivers may throw sone change out the window for you.

By far the worst transportation service I have ever used. Prices are borderline criminal. The drivers are incredibly lazy and rely on the fact that they are the only service allowed on fort benning. Why these people are allowed to keep this scam going is beyond me. If you are traveling to and from fort benning I highly suggest taking uber or lyft to the post and then only using this service as a last resort.

I called at 2:50am and was told “cab 51 was on the way. It’s now 10 til 5 am and I haven’t been picked up. After calling dispatch numerous times I’ve received the excuse “I just took over, I’m not sure what they told you before”I called dispatch for a status and was told “Willy” was on his way in 5-10minutes at 4:25.Update: at 4:50 “Willy” called at said he was lost.

Yellow cab in Columbus Ga is AWFUL. Ive been sitting waiting on a cab for 45 mins due to them having one driver on the road, then once my driver finally showed up, I told him I had a credit card that Im using, he said sigh. Ima have to tell them to stop giving me these credit cards but in a rude tone. I dont recommend this cab service until they get their ish together cause I sure as heck wont use them again

Called for a cab was told 10 minutes, 20 minutes later called again was told 5 minutes, 10 minutes later called yet again and told 5 minutes again. 10 minutes later still no cab(At this point Ive been waiting for 40 minutes and from the fort time I called I had an hour to get to my destination) thank god for a kind man at the hotel I was waiting at he gave me a ride on post while the other half of my party waited another 30 minutes before the finally showed. By far the worst cab company in the Columbus area.

The dispatcher Ben is very rude. Most of the time cabs are late and one time I had to walk home in the rain because one did not show up. I will never use them again.
