True place to be if you really wanna the perfect gym. They deserve more than 5 star. Its pocket friendly and has all the equipments that you would be looking for. Remember, there is good staff ready to welcome you and give u a tour.

I love it there. Great staff. Clean atmosphere. Just that I dont know what happen to their system, they keep overcharging my card. Which is very frustrating. But I absolutely love exercising there. Its really a great and fun place to exercise.

As an ex employee the experience there has been a roller coaster . We have had great customer interactions and terrible ones . Customers are extremely impatient, rude and disrespectful. Some employees will give you a great and helpful experience always ask for Bret he’s the best .

I love this facility and its staff. They are always so friendly, a great way to start and end a workout! Clean and a great selection of equipment. Best price in all of Columbus for all of their facilities offered in a gym too!!

I recently moved to a different state and in all the chaos I forgot to cancel my gym membership! I called to cancel over the phone, obviously since I dont live in Ohio anymore, and they will not let you cancel over the phone. They said I could send a handwritten letter and cancel through mail and that was my only option besides driving six hours back to Ohio to cancel a gym membership. Very poor customer service.

Not a bad place but could be better. People dont wipe off the equipment after use. Sometimes the music is so loud that you can hear it over your earbuds.

During this pandemic hand sanitizers and napkins always dont work or empty, also they use low quality. (I will remove my review once they fix this issue).

This gym is more than just a gym; staff has always made me feel welcomed. Equipment and amenities are plentiful and the facility is always clean. Most importantly to me is that the PRICE is right.

I do not think I care to do business anywhere that takes advantage of the disabled and or elderly.

CalFit 10 on 161, is one of the best gym that I have joined. They are very motivating they always encouraging me to keep coming and not to give up. There was a time when I stopped coming and they called me and asked when I was coming back in. That let me know that they cared because they didnt have to because I was paying them each month.

Nice sized gym. No need for all that fancy Cafe stuff when you just need to lift or get a good exercise session in.

Employees AND members are very cordial, and for those of you who may be a bit self-conscious about your appearance--dont worry, everyone is focused on their own work-out, so you dont have to worry about catching a case of the everyone-is-staring-at-me blues!!!Excellent training facility, personal trainers on-hand, with state-of-art equipment, free classes, etc.Come on down, and get your work-out on! Good gym for $10. No pool, just two halves of basketball court on concrete with low ceiling.Why I gave it one star: If youre going to stop going there, dont simply stop paying/or showing up. I found out the hard way that most gyms, including this one locks you in an extended contract even if you originally signed up for one year. You have to physically go in (not just a phone call either) to cancel your gym membership.I received $70+ in a notice to pay from collections because Id changed my card I used to sign up originally. I called the gym and asked them why I owed this amount since I paid everything up front when I signed up in the beginning of my contract. They responded the charges were for the months past the original one year contract. They stated I had to speak to a representative in order to have it cancelled. Long story short, I paid for months I wasnt in that gym and the prorated amount. Never going back.

You get what you pay for. For only $10.00 a month you get a gym. The customer service there is very horrible. An older lady whom is at the front desk all the time in the evenings when I go ALWAYS has an attitude. No eye contact or friendliness. Everyone else will speak and say things like Have a Great Workout! This woman makes me feel very uncomfortable when going there. They do have lots of great workout machines, and classes that other gyms dont have. There is also, always an issue of a horrible smell in that gym, and not having clean restrooms with toilet paper and paper towels. As stated before, you get what you pay for.

After reading some other reviews I do not feel so alone in the way I was manipulated to sign up. Firstly I am disabled and a senior. I went to their gym just to find out prices and how it worked, I am on a fixed income and even an extra 10 bucks a month has to be somehow worked into my budget.To make a long story short I was pressured and manipulated to sign papers that I couldnt see or understand ( cataracts) and pressured for my debit card info with the promise nothing would be taken out for a month. It was taken out immediately I learned after going to the grocery store and have my debit card declined because of it so had to skim by without milk, bread, and what have you for that week.Canceled card so no more could be taken out and called to cancel.Two years later getting collection for over 300 dollars and wanting me to come in to cancel pay the 300 plus 75 cancelation.Anuway now being pressured to pay all this money for something not used or even wanted now. I do not bend to high pressire sales tactics or threats of collections. I am making a report to the ohio dept of aging over this matter.Why would someone make this up? I have nothing to gain but they do.

Wish theres I can give them zero..the gym is so dirty and non of the equipments works..the owner will promise to fix but never do..please save yourself time and look for somewhere else..and try not to give them your Visa card000..they will be withdrawing funds unknowing to you.

I have been going to Calfit since July. The staff are great! Any questions that I have about how to change up my work out routine or any questions really, they always take time to explain things. My baby goes to the daycare there while I workout and its always a great experience!

California Fitness as an okay place to work out it does have a lot of very old equipment you will see some equipment has a lot of rust on them it does offer saunas which are nice it does offer tanning booth what are nice it does have a daycare which is also nice and a place to play basketball

Im shocked by all the positive reviews on this gym. Ive been a member of other thrifty priced gyms, and this is by far the worst. The staff does nothing. The locker rooms are dirty, the showers havent been cleaned in the 6 months Ive been a member. If something is broke, they put a sign up and never fix it. The weight lifting equipment is scattered throughout the facility, its never where it belongs. The cardio equipment does not get cleaned. The cables on the weight machines need repaired. If this place wasnt the only gym within 15 minutes of where I work I would never go there. That said, when my prepaid year is up, I will NOT be renewing my membership. If you can afford a better gym then run from this place!!

Been there for 6 months you get what you pay for. Sue and Ed are very professional and they have a plethora of machines to use. When I was new to Columbus they made me feel right at home.

I actually think this gym has the ability to be very good but the most of the people commenting are right. I never see them cleaning the machines and when a machine breaks down you better believe its down for a long time. half the time there arent even spray to wipe down the machines and there are only about 4-5 paper towel dispensers for the whole gym. I dont use the shower or the sauna so I cant speak to that. Other than that this gym isnt bad for 10 dollars a month. I went to crunch fitness(aussie fit) and I was impressed. You can tell they are more dedicated to their gym and had paper towels in the restroom. The reason I go is because of the location of gym.

THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND EASY TO TALK TO. THE FACILITY IS NICE AND OPEN. VARIETY OF EQUIPMENT TO USE. MY WIFE LIKES THE GROUP FITNESS CLASSES OF WHICH THERE ARE SEVERAL TO CHOOSE. I LIKE THE FREE WEIGHT AREA AND THE CIRCUIT TRAINING EQUIPMENT. THEY EVEN HAVE BASKETBALL.

I have worked out at several athletic clubs over the years and I love Cal-Fit 10. There is no better value. What you need to know is the level of service that is provided by the owner, management, and staff. Dana the owner exhibits professionalism and outstanding customer service. I have been there for over 6 months and seen constant improvements. There is plenty of equipment including weight machines, free-weights, and cardio machines. It is clean, neat and well equipped. I always look forward to seeing the staff and Dana. I would highly recommend it and as long as I am on the north side of Columbus this is where you will find me. Thank you Cal-Fit 10.Frank Asencio

I have been trying to cancel the membership since 02/2014, when I go into the location I am told I have to contact corporate. When I contact corporate they tell I have to go to the location I signed which is 161/E Dublin-Granville rd. Other then is circle of not been able to cancel the membership, The location is great, the place is cleanand I am still trying to cancel this membership, same story go to the counter, they tell you to call corporate, Sue from corporate states you have to go into the center.At this point I am very displeased with the service.

Went into the gym today, looking to be see the feel of the gym, I’ve relocated and it’s close to my home. For the few months that I will be here I wanted to get a new gym membership. They wouldn’t allow me to do the pass because I had an out of state ID and wanted me to pay 15 bucks for a day pass! I had read bad reviews about the gym and wanted to see for my self,l. They are money hungry, auto renew your contract, so there is no end. Small businesses like this should be ashamed of them selves. As a government employee, I would never go bs i here ever again . I wish I could give them 0 stars

The fact that I had a 7 day pass and they didnt even enter it into their system so I didnt get my full 7 day. The locker rooms are low key gross, the sauna is atrocious, looks like it hasnt been washed for years. The staff is lazy, there are weights everywhere scattered. You can definitely find a better gym. La fitness is 100x better. Sorry bros that work up there but you should of let me get my honest 7 days. Your gym is terrible. Please dont call me asking if I want to sign up lol

My favorite part of the gym is the basketball court. Its nothing special but I just really like to play and shoot. I usually workout weekday mornings and its easy to use the equipment since so few people are there. For the price, you wont find much better.

Avoid this place at all costs. Typical meat-head people work there, so standoffish and pretentious I went tanning three times and never went back. Oh, and then got emails for a year about all the money I owed. Scam, terrible place, most of these reviews are sorted through so lets see how long a real review lasts. If you are even half of a human being, this place has no valuable use. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Working out at home is just as effective, and you wont be looked at like your dirt.

I I like. Cal- fit.it allows my wife and I true convince with location and priceing. The staff is truly amazing.facility is allway clean. Columbus needs more locations like this. I would change my job for a position there where can I get a application.

Worst fraud JYM ever!! Ppl don’t get trapped by this Califit JYM. They don’t charged same amount every month. They actually charge me $60 2 month instantly..after I notice and when I asked reason...they aren’t even have clear reason and when I asked refund they denied..even I cancelled the jym member they still charged the money. I have to call credit company to fix it.. every month.

Great setup for the price. Some equipment takes a while to be fixed, but the value makes up for it.

CalFit 10, is a wonderful place to workout. I enjoy the most all the variety of classes that they offer in the evening.

My fiancé just put in his two weeks and all of the sudden you dont know why his paycheck wasnt deposited? When you told him it would be Monday because the 10th fell on a Sunday? If his paycheck is not in our account by Wednesday September 13th the better business burea told me to give them a call back to take further action!!!!

If you have been in any other gym you would know that this one is pretty sub-par. True you cannot beat the price of $10/month, but that is only a deal if you can overlook cleanliness, worker enthusiasm, and broken equipment.Ive more than once brought up the sauna condition to who I can only assume is the owner. Gum, bandaids, months of dirt and dust are caked on its heater system. The tile around the drain, that is higher than the floor so they can not hose out the room, is crumbling. The fix, a rubber mat over the drain for over a year now. The shower are pretty horrible as well.Some equipment is missing pins even the connectors for different bars so they just sit there. Found gum and a wadded paper towel in one of the cardio machine, told the people at the front desk and it didnt get cleaned for weeks.Those that are working are too envolved in Facebook, eachother or getting a quick workout in on the clock to refill the spray bottles or paper towel despensers.Like I said can beat the price, but greatly lower your expectations. I hope that they close and another, more reputable gym moves in. ONE STAR BECAUSE I HAD TO.

Its the cheapest i could find on my side of town. If i found one reasonable somewhere else i would consider them over this gym. The people that work there are nice, Its just the fact most of the equipment is broke, and they never get it fixed. Ive been a member for about 3 yrs and the same treadmills are still broke down to this day. Im gonna have to join the r-pac soon, honestly i cant wait until the day lol. I really dont expect much for 10 bucks a month so they still get 3 stars. At the end of the day you can still get a workout here. Plus they have a daycare

In August I terminated my membership with California Fitness due to my foot issues. Not working out has been horribly challenging for me emotionally and physically. It is only made worse by the fact that they charged me the September membership fee....but now they are charging me a yearly membership fee even though I am physically unable to use there facilities. Its very disappointing they choose to do business that way.

Half the equipment is broken or needs a major tune up. They havent had pins for several weight machines for at least a year. The place is going downhill with no sign they are trying to improve the place.

I canceled my membership (paid in full) way back in 2015, it took a nasty fight with the owner to get it canceled. Today out of the blue I received a collection notice. Do not sign a contract with these people.
