The property is well maintained and seems safe. I never had any security issues parking my RV there for a year. When I first started storing my RV here I was a little concerned because the office staff did not seem to have their act together. After a couple months, they re-hired Kelly and things become much more organized. She was good at sharing information and very responsive to any inquiry. She went out of her way to make sure things were working fine and resolved any issues. For example, the spot where I was parking my RV was making it difficult for someone to get in and out of there unit, so she worked with us to find a spot that was workable for both parties.

This is just a note to praise Kelly who arranged for our Penske Truck and car trailer. When it was apparent that the first car trailer was broken, Amanda stayed overtime on a hot Saturday June 12 to confirm our ability to use another and better trailer that was on the lot. She was wonderful and helpful. The next day we began the long 4 day trek to move my sons furniture 2400 miles across the country out to California. The truck and trailer were solid and dependable.Thanks so much. I will definitely recommend Gateway Storage and Penske.

I had the privilege of meeting Ms Kelly after I moved to Ohio. My son had previously introduced me via FaceTime. Ms Kelly gave him a tour of the various unit sizes to make sure I was securing the appropriate size storage space. I have had to contact her a few times after my move to make sure I had the proper paperwork, etc. Ms. Kelly has always been extremely patient, courteous and very attentive to all my needs.

Super easy to secure rental! Needed one for my daughter’s things over the summer while she’s home from OSU. Prices were great, place was clean and ready to access as promised!

She is on top of any issues or needs of the customers. I appreciate her professionalism. She also put up OUR USA flag and decorations 😁. I have rented 2- 3 units thru out the years.

Talked with Elle the day before I went to the office to rent the storage unit. When I met her the next day, I was super impressed with her professionalism. She showed me the unit, completed the paperwork and I was out the door in 15 minutes. No fuss no muss. I went to the Italian Bakery next door and bought her some of the best peanut butter cookies I ever tasted and was on my way. A great experience all around. It just goes to show you that there are people out there that really understand what good service is all about.

I do have an account! If you have had your unit locked prior to this company having a legal lien on your unit and have been denied access to your property you may have a claim. If there is anyone interested in a class action suit against this company for violating Ohio storage law please contact me.

The staff was friendly however I paid a premium in comparison to other storage locations to keep my stuff protected. My code did not work when I tried to enter the gate later that week and had to wait outside of the gate for two hours just to get a working code. When it finally came to moving my stuff out there was a decomposing rat, dried mice as well as rat pellets all over my stuff, and some of my furniture/items destroyed (keep in mind I stored no food). All that was offered in return was a free month if I chose to come back. My items were also covered in some sort of debris as well. Not sure if I was unlucky but I am disappointed for paying such a large amount money and having to dealing with all of this as a result. Won’t return to this location.

We made a reservation for a storage room, which ended up actually doing nothing as the reservation doesn’t hold the storage room. That storage room ended up getting rented out after we made the reservation for it and made us take a storage room for 1/3 the size and if we didn’t call two weeks before the actual day we reserved it for we might’ve been left without any storage room. It still forced us to start renting it weeks earlier than we wanted.

I rented a unit at Gateway Self Storage this summer when I switched apartments, and it was a great choice! The units were clean, there were multiple security measures in place, and management was very friendly and helpful. Customer service was excellent. Compared to other places, prices were good too. Id highly recommend it to anyone who needs storage, especially students.

As someone who has lived in every time zone in the United States, Ive used storage facilities across the country. These folks really have their act together. The customer service is excellent. The facility is well-maintained and clean and location (right off 71) is perfect!

Rented a truck for a move to Boston on 4/8/2017... Excellent experience all around!! Great customer service! I would recommend renting through Gateway Self Storage to anyone!Unbeknownst to me my itinerary had been updated for my truck to be picked up at another location. Without hesitation I was provided another Penske truck saving me both time and money :-)

The women at Gateway made my experience of renting a truck so smooth and stress free. Its rare to find good genuine customer service these days and they were so nice and patient with me. They answered all of my questions and were very knowledgeable. If a great experience and extremely nice people are something that is important to you, I would definitely go to this company/location.

I had dealt with Jamie in the winter and he was great. He was really nice and helpful and knew what he was talking about. I went in last week and a different man was working there and said Jamie had left and he was short with me and acted like he didnt care about my business. I took my business elsewhere. The place was nice but I was not at all impressed by the customer service. I would suggest getting Jamie back

Unfortunately Ive been very displeased with this company. The storage unit is very nice and seems secure but the billing system is very disorganized. First of all, when I opened the unit they charged me twice. I found an extra charge for $132 on my credit card. They did manage to put it back on my card after a few days but $132 is a significant amount of money to be missing. Then I got an email towards the end of my lease saying my next bill would be due the 21st of the month even though I moved in the 22nd of the previous month. I was planning on moving out the 21st so as not to be charged an extra month. And when I opened the unit they assured me that would be fine. But when I called to inquire, the lady I spoke to said that even if I moved out on the 21st I would be charged for that next month. I feel like the whole time they were just very unclear about their billing methods when I thought the whole process would be very straightforward

Had to put items in storage when moving out of the dorms. Easy access through secure area and secure building. No problems with bugs. Would recommend adding weekly rates in addition to monthly rates. I would rent with them again!

Great Service From the Ladies in the office

ROACHES... Service was great, place seemed clean, then I unpacked my things in my new home. I was in my storage unit for no more than 3 weeks and obtained roaches, which I KNOW I didnt bring with me. Gateway Self Storage was unable to refund me any amount because they didnt bring the roaches in, so it basically wasnt their problem. One more head ache to add to the moving stress.

Its simple its direct its convenient storage. It is in high demand because of the OSU area.

I rented for going on 4 years first two Jamie was manager and it was great, I talked to him about parking a couple cars on gravel area he said no problem Debra shows up and tows a van cost me 180 to get it out, snow removal is very bad in winter, I store stuff for my business in storage it is convenient for me but service is very bad, Jamie would let me pay 10 months up front and give me two months free then Debra came she said she can no longer do that she said I had to pay 12 months and she would give 13 month free and every year goes up, they do not care about loyal customers, today I go to storage to pick up some tools they are sealing drive and guys tell me you are not going to be able to access unit till tomorrow sometime, no notice no warning nothing, I go there several times a day since we store stuff for a business, when I called in lady says yes will not be able to access till at least 9:30 following day, I asked did you send notice she said no then I asked should you not send notice she said yes she is sorry that this happened, would not recommend them at all only put up with it because It is convenient location, good luck renting from these people,

The code to get out is the code to get in. Lots of units. The on site office has free coffee. In the office your not talking with an owner but just another employee. They will hold your stuff for ransom if your even a day late.

Got behind on my payments and they helped me with a payment arrangment that helped my pay off my account and get caught up
