Let me start by saying, this was an amazing experience. Trying to figure out who we would use for our AC/Furnace replacement was a hard choice. We had a couple estimates but were very impressed with Rick from Hetter with his thorough assessment and detailed info on options. They made it an easy choice. Hetter Heating and Cooling was very easy to work with. Reached out to them when my AC completely went out. Knowing the AC and Heater were original from when house was built back in 1993 asked for quote to replace both AC and Heater. Dave came out the same day I called, reviewed and asked multiple questions so he could propose units that would work best for my home. Upon notifying them the next morning that I wanted to move forward they scheduled and was out the next day.. Weather being in the 90s the past week I was very pleased... Ive used Hetter for minor maintenance in the past, but this year both our furnace and AC decided to break within a few months of each other. Both times, the work was done quickly and professionally. There were no surprises or gotchas — the work cost exactly what I was quoted.For the AC install, Rick provided quotes for 3 units, and the pricing was quite competitive with another quote Id received. The installation was originally scheduled for 2 weeks out, and he brought 2 loaner AC units the same day, which proved to be a lifesaver. As it turned out, there was a cancellation and we were able to get the new unit installed within a few days.Every time Ive used Hetter, Ive found the technicians to be efficient, professional, and friendly. They always take time to answer my questions and explain what they did. They always leave the work area cleaner than they found it. And, as we have an unvaccinated infant in the house, they honored my request to wear masks when inside, without any issue.It is one thing to be satisfied with a single service. But Ive used Hetter now several times, including major work, and have never regretted it. Im signing up for their annual service plan — something I should have done long ago — because I dont feel the need to shop around any more for heating and cooling work.

Hetter installed a complete new HVAC system in our home. Rick, the sales person was very thorough and professional. Treated me and my house really great. This was my first time doing this as a new homeowner, so I was pretty nervous. Had a technician by the name of Rick come take a look at my HVAC unit. Unit would cool to 72-ish degrees but not get below that. He claimed the issue was the low freon levels. He refilled the freon, and I am still having issues. Will not get below 71/72 degrees.

Rick, Brian, and Scott of Hetter did a fantastic job of upgrading our outdated AC, which failed just in time for the hottest days of the year. They diagnosed the problems correctly; showed up on time; and finished the work under budget. I called and received a quick appointment. The technician, Rick Hoffmann, showed up on time and got right to work. He was doing annual maintenance and service on heater and air conditioning units in my home. He performed all needed services without trying to upswell anything else. While working on the outside condenser unit he found some damaged foam insulation and some frayed wire insulation which he repaired or replaced. I am very happy with his work ethic and skills. heater had replaced the heater when I moved onto the home and will call them if needed again.

Very disappointed with Hetter and their “high end” Trane products. Less then 6 years ago I spent about $8k on a new Trane HVAC and it broke down twice in the first year and a half. Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago and the AC died again with a broken compressor($3k) part. They were unable to make a timely visit for repair, so I am using another HVAC company.Think twice before using Hetter.

We decided to replace our furnace and AC since it was 23 years old and in need of some costly repairs. Hetter gave us a quick estimate with options and the work was scheduled quickly. We did have a minor hiccup with a pipe connection but they were very responsive and corrected the problem the next day. I would definitely recommend them for quick and reliable service!

I originally called Hetter when I woke up to a cold house. I arranged for a service call and Brian came 1 hour later. After an explanation of what the repair would be for my 20+ year old system they offered to get a quote for an entire new system. However, the decision to repair my current system or evaluate a new system was mine. There was no pressure. Rick Hetter came and provided a thorough explanation on different price and equipment options available if I decided to replace the system. There was no obligation, no pressure, no decisions on the spot. I called later in the day and placed the order to upgrade my system with Rick. The next morning at 8:30 am Scott, Walt, Donzel and Brian Jr arrived and installed my new two stage furnace and two stage air conditioner. Each of these technicians were polite, efficient and explained everything that I had questions regarding. The job was complete at 2:00 pm with no mess, no dirt, and excellent craftsmanship. Everything was reviewed with me and thoroughly explained. While no one enjoys spending a lot of money on HVAC, I know that I bought quality product from a local company that employs quality people, with support that will be there if/when I need it.

I first called Hetter 10 years ago when my 24-year-old A/C unit conked out in the middle of a heat wave. Instead of trying to sell me new equipment, the tech installed a new capacitor and gave me some tips on how to maximize the service life of my old A/C and furnace. I appreciated his honesty, so when my old furnace finally gave up the ghost, I called Hetter to have new Trane A/C and furnace units installed. Techs Rick and Jared showed up on-time as promised the next business day and did a great job installing the new equipment on a 20-degree winter day.

They installed a new furnace and central air unit. Very professional wore shoe covers and protected my flooring with the install. Installers were Rick, Zac, and Michael. The person I talked with initially was Kevin.

This morning, Lance from Hetter Heating and Cooling came to check out what I thought was a broken blower on my furnace. The blower was fine but Lance was so thorough in his inspection of my furnace that I signed up on the spot with Hetter Heating and Cooling for an annual HVAC inspection. This will include my AC in the Spring and my Furnace in the fall.Besides being professional, Lance was friendly and helpful in schooling me on how to best care for my furnace. He checked for carbon monoxide, cleaned the furnace drain, replaced the filter in the Humidifier and a number of other tasks to keep my furnace operating in a tip top manner. Thanks Lance.

Hetter Heating and Cooling replaced my furnace in 2018 and I was so happy with their service that I had them replace my AC unit just a few weeks ago. Michael and Donzel, the Hetter technicians were so positve, helpful and professional. We chuckled that they were installing a new AC unit on one of the coldest days in January! Let me start with the names Kevin (Comfort Specialist), Rick & Zac (Professional Trane Equipment Installers). Kevin from the start took my phone call with me just inquiring about a new furnace & ac unit. He explained everything in great detail and even brought up his personal experiences. He made me feel very comfortable with just talking and not questioning me about visiting in person for a quote. This is what made me ask for an in person visit for a quote. Kevin also stop by to check and see how things were going during the install and provided me with a copy of the warranty that he registered. Rick & Zac showed up very promptly and started to work right away. They put down floor mats & covering to keep from damaging the floor and cleaned up very nicely upon completion. They ran into a couple issues due to previous owner work but they figured it out and made the adjustments. They even giggled with my kids for a quick sec. My wife and I are truly happy that we chose Hetter Heating & Cooling for our install. I recommend them 100%, especially for piece of mind. Rick and Zac installed a new furnace and new AC system in depths of winter. They were very professional and courteous. They put down plenty of quality floor protection material where they came in and out of our house, and cleaned up extremely well. We were very pleased with the service provided, and the price package offered to us by Dave Thulin provided provided great value.

Not your company for a mini split unit. I installed a mini split system and was told I can put it anywhere as we have a “hide a line” track that hides the wire. It took them 4 business days to get the unit up and running. The unit was installed and I went to look at it and this so called “hide a line” and it’s this massive bulky piece of plastic that runs on the outside of the drywall. I specifically asked 3 times why these lines weren’t going under the drywall but I was told it’s so they can access the lines if need but there would be this hide a line for cosmetic purposes. Clearly my concern was seeing these lines. No sales person ever told me about how much of an eye sore this was. I’m disappointed that this wasn’t shown to me ahead of time as I believe these mini split units may be newer to them and they are learning as well. I was then told if I wanted to move the unit it would cost me an extra $600 after paying thousands to begin with. This could have been corrected and it wasn’t. I would not recommend this company for mini split units specifically.Thank you for your response. Yes nobody would want to see this outside of their house. Nobody reviewed with me the hide line and what exactly this looked like. Upon 3 attempts to the sales personnel I asked why these lines weren’t going into the drywall with nothing to visually clarify. I understand why they need to go outside the drywall, however if the sales personnel had taken the time and described what this hide line looked like I think the unit never would have been placed where it was. If you’ve been installing these for 15 years that’s fantastic but my experience with the sales personnel didn’t guide the customer very well on this. I would address this so it doesn’t happen to another customer in the future.

Rick arrived at our home at the appointed time then spent over four hours installing a Trane Clean Effects air cleaner and replacing the rusted vent pipes for our hot water tank and furnace. Rick was prompt, courteous and professional throughout his time onsite. He provided operating instructions for the air cleaner and answered questions relative to the work completed. I had several companies come out for quotes. While all agreed that my HVAC system was undersized for my home, all varied on what system I needed. Rick from Hetter in my opinion was the most thorough in determining what my household needed and what it didnt need. His company was also able to beat comparable system quotes by several hundred dollars, which was a bonus.On installation day techs Rick and Michael came out and were very professional. I have no complaints and so far am happy with the product I received.

We just had the pleasure of receiving the most amazing service from Hetter !! Since moving to Columbus 5 years ago, we had used several HVAC companies to service our 17 yr old HVAC system; however, since we needed to completely replace both our A/C and Furnace (2 systems), we wanted to find the best by way of recommendations. Good friends told us to only use Hetter, and we went with that statement. From the moment of consultation, with Walt, who is delightful, until the final moment when the work was done, we were treated like true VIPs. The work, which took nearly 10 hours, was completed by 5 amazing gentlemen who exceeded our expectations!!! They were polite, friendly, professional and VERY knowledgeable!!! Their work ethic is something you dont see often, and, at the end of a very long day, they cleaned up their work area in such a way you could not tell anyone had stepped foot in the house. Ricky is always nice to talk to and keeps us up to date on how everything is working and is proactive about making recommendations for optimal use of the HVAC. We have two systems and have the contract on both which makes payment and scheduling super easy!

I moved into a 26-year old house in May. Both the AC and furnace were original to the house. Rather than waiting until I was without either heat or AC, I decided to go ahead and replace both as well as the whole house humidifier. The experience working with Hetter was a pleasure. Everyone I dealt with was professional and very knowledgeable. A gentleman named Dave did the estimate, and Rick and Zac did the install on 9/17. They gave me a review of the installation at the end, and explained overall maintenance and operation. All were very professional, and the quality of work great. I would highly recommend them.

I dont even know where to begin - they are LIFE SAVERS and they have an amazing employee in Rick.We reached out to Hetter Heating and Cooling after our heater completely shut down 3 days after buying our first home. It couldnt have gone out at a worse time - we were expecting below zero weather with snow about the whole week. Our next fear was of course that our pipes were going to freeze due to the weather, so we realized we needed a new heater ASAP.I was at work the whole day, my fiancé and dad happened to be at the house trying to figure out what to do. Once we reached out to them, they sent someone out to look at the heater the same day and they were there seemingly instantly. We were extremely impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. My fiancé and dad both went out of their way to mention to me that they very friendly and they were impressed with the service we received.We decided to purchase a heating unit through Hetter and have them install it as well - which we needed ASAP. They called my fiancé first thing the following morning and let her know they can be at our house to install our new heater by 8:30-9am. We couldnt have been more relieved.I worked from home the whole day while Rick installed our heating system. He was extremely friendly, professional, and polite and I couldnt have been more impressed. He got everything up and running in what seeming like no time. He even went beyond exceptions by installing hooks to support our dangling pipes, a door on our heater vent, and set up our nest thermostat system (he even set the time on it).I never write reviews but I felt like this was the least I could do after receiving such amazing service from everyone we worked with at Hetter. Personally I can say Rick is a true example of what all employees should strive to be like. Any company would be beyond lucky to have Rick. Service was 11/10. Thank you Hetter!

I had a new furnace and a/c units installed earlier this month. Scott and Donzel arrived on time; worked diligently while on the job. It was one of the hottest days - 95 degrees but they were in and out of here in less time than I expected for an installation. Prior to leaving everything was reviewed with me. From the beginning meeting with Dave reviewing what my options were, my experience has been great with Hetter. So glad they were recommended to me!
