I went to AAA Columbia Car Care Insurance Travel Center to get My International Drivers Permit. The Building has a Newness about it. The Customer Service was Excellent. I was promptly greeted when I arrived. I was swiftly taken care of. I had to do Passport Photo to put on the IDP and the painting behind the Passport picture made the ambience look amazing. The Whole Process took about 15 minutes and was about $35.
OMG so let me tell you all about this AAA location THE BEST ok from the front door to bathroom great customer service clean environment honest dependable trustworthy bunch i absolutely love and recommend them to anyone they put extra effort in to every customer from the time you walk in until the time you leave
Dominique Hendricks is a fabulous travel agent here. We rented a car through AAA for a family vacation. When we had mechanical problems and needed a new vehicle, Dominique quickly made the necessary arrangements. We were able to pick the new car up at a local airport and didn’t miss any vacation time. I can’t compliment her enough!
Great customer service and quick in and out. I will be back! AWESOME!
I wanted my car to get fixed so I could go through inspection. I took my car to the AAA in Columbia, MD because my engine light was on. They told me there were some other things that additionally needed to be fixed and I agreed to have that work done. Well, they called and told me my car was ready, so I went to pick up my car, paid for it, and go to start it and what do I see the engine light is STILL on. I go back into the store and let them know that it is still on and they tell me to drive it around for a few days and if it continues to stay on to bring it back. Now I want to know if I brought it in because the engine light was on, why would I drive it for a few days to see if it stays on after I paid for that problem to be fixed?
Good place. Excellent service
I went in to check the price of tickets for somewhere Im traveling to and I was told it was more expensive then just buying tickets on the places website. The AAA price sheet they go off for pricing at the business was wrong, making the discount price incorrect.Thats definitely not how this works.
Incredibly slow service. It should not take two hours to do an oil change and tire rotation.
I have found through numerous visits that their service and expertise is great. Its important to me to have a place that I trust for my car care. Charles did a great and timely job getting my vehicle aligned today. I appreciate it
Chris was the person I interacted with and he was extremely professional and helpful the entire time! His service was genuine and it seemed like he actually wanted to be at work and help me out.
Very nice staff and very helpful. They have notary services which is amazing and there roadside service plan is 5 stars. I just rejoined after many years without a membership and look forward to using it again over the next year. Have not used the auto repair services yet. So holding on the fifth star until I try it all out.
I brought 2 cars to this AAA location to get 4 tires replaces on each. I had an appointment at noon for both cars, two days apart. When I made the appointments I was told that it should take about an hour and a half to change the 4 tires. Thats a little longer than I expected, but whatever, its reasonable.First, I brought in my Subaru Forester. It took about an hour and 45 minutes and the whole experience was pretty good. I was happy with AAA as I drove my Subaru home. Two days later, I brought in my Toyota Corolla. After 2 hours and 45 minutes, I stopped by to see how it was going. I was told that 3 of the 4 tires were installed and that it shouldnt take that much longer. I decided to wait inside and watch through the window as my car sat untouched for another hour. At the 4.5 hour mark the guy at the desk told me that the alignment would need to be fixed and asked me if I wanted them to do it. I knew my alignment wasnt quite right when I went there, but it was an hour and a half until they closed and based on the time to replace the tires I really didnt know if they were capable of finishing it before then. Plus at this point, I would rather pay someone else double to fix my alignment than AAA. When I was asked if I wanted to become a AAA member, I almost laughed. I ended up leaving 4 hours and 55 minutes after I dropped off my car. It took almost 5 hours to do what I would expect a reputable mechanic to do in 45 minutes to an hour. I was not happy with AAA as I drove my Toyota home. I cant imagine ever using AAA again.
Terrible place I had my car towed in 3 days ago everytime I called they told me my car is up next. I just decided to go somewhere else. I dont think they have much interest in serving customers with my skin color. Go somewhere else if you want to be considered as a valued customer
Price was insane to fix my vehicle. Towed back to RVA and was able to get it $500 cheaper at a specialty repair shop.
AAAs car service was great! Car care professional chris took really good care of what I needed for my car. Would recommend the service to everyone!
Helped me navigate the difficult world of getting my trailer tags out of the MVA. Everyone there is nice and helpful.
Great associates who go the extra mile to help you. Terrific service & services. Worth the peace of mind a membership provides for all sorts of things from insurances to motor vehicle issues to tags. Special shout out to Renee for ALL her help with helping us to register our car here in Maryland. :)
Nice customer service and place to get maps s and other essential travel related info
The staff is very pleasant and the technicians are excellent. I am very happy with my service
I had the pleasure of coming into AAA & getting taken care of right away. Chris Roy Sr (Assistant Mgr) was very Attentive to what I needed done & did it right away. He was able to squeeze me in for a fix up & did it extremely professionally. Great service & atmosphere! Will definitely be returning to them for service!
They installed tires I purchased from Tire Rack. No issues. Price was right.
Make an appointment. Got a flat and dropped it off night before and they barely had time to patch tire. But they got it done by COB and are always friendly and helpful
My experience at AAA was great they were very helpful and knowledgeable with the functions I need to complete.
I work out here in Columbia. The Columbia Car care center is very convenient for me for when I need service or repairs
Dropped my Brother in Law off to get his Breaks worked on
Quick friendly service, with very reasonable prices. Clean and well organized
Needed a battery for my wifes 2001 Firebird. They had one in stock and installed it quickly.
A very convenient place to have almost all your car care needs done. Super easy to get car tags and repairs. Everyone working there was really friendly, which is a plus.
Great customer service. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Scheduling an appointment is easy and fast. Convenient hours and havent had a problem with waiting for my car to be serviced. Mechanics seemed to be both professional and knowledgeable. I havent experienced any issues. Good deals on tires and rates are reasonable. Ive been a AAA member for decades and would recommend their car care service to family and friends.
Took vehicle for state inspection. after I sold the car the following day, the new owner told me AAA entered the wrong vin # in their system. the new owner cannot get the car titled /registered until it is corrected. this is not the first time AAA Columbi has messed up paperwork.
The service I received from AAA auto center was nothing less than superb! The service tech were professional and polite. The Service center arranged a ride for me to work and back to pick up my vehicle. I definitely recommend AAA Service center for automotive needs. Totally HAPPY customer! 😁
Little short staff for placing air rear ties.
I had a great experience and would highly recommend this AAA Car Care Service. Chris was very helpful and professional. While I was waiting for my car, I had the opportunity to observe him interact with a number of customers, both in person and on the phone. He handled everything in a caring and professional manner.I believe that I got good work at a fair price by professionals in a nice, clean, welcoming environment.
BEWARE OF THIS SHOP! Terrible service from start to finish.I invested $1,900 to fix up a 2012 Nissan Versa that died on the road. The manager up sold me on many items, including 4 new tires when only needed 2 tires. Then, he let me pay in full and drive off in a car that was not even given a test drive. It chugged and stalled 3 times in moving traffic!!! I had to turn around and drive slowly back to the shop. Bottom line, they wont offer a dime to pay us back for maintenance that shouldnt have been done in the first place OR for the danger they put me in by letting me drive off in a car that kept stalling!!!We will be calling AAA Headquarters and suing if necessary.
I absolutely salute each and every employee there!!!! Im a transplant from Chicago, and without AAA Columbia Car Care, Id be riding through Baltimore on a tricycle! Love them all- especially the repair team!!! Thanks for all you do- and the smiles too!!!!
Always have had great experience s walking in to ask questions and get info. I needed an oil change and wanted to give them a try. I reached out via email and understood that it could take a day or two for a response. I never got a response. I tried to call and make an appointment and could never get an answer even though the store was open. Went somewhere else. Not sure what happened but probably wont try them for auto repair.
On time, concerns addressed, extremely pleased with work done. Improved my confidence about holding onto my old car!
My tires blew out on July 9th after running over a curb. I immediately contacted AAA who suggested that I tow my car to this facility. The car was towed to this facility and I was recommend to change the two tires on the passenger side as they blew out. After receiving the car there was loud buzzing noise coming at 55+ mph. After notifying AAA and speaking with Wes, he decided to test drive the car and confirmed the noise. I am disappointing that nobody test drove the car after installing the tires. Now I am resuming further repairs with GEICO insurance.
Excellent service.
Took my Sienna in for an oil change. 30 minutes and I was gone. Half the price as Jiffy Lube. Excellent service. They check your vehicle and recommend future service with a price breakdown. Definitely recommend.
Very friendly staff and clean following CDC guidelines for Covid-19 protocol. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Easy processes to transfer car title.
Called in to get an International Drivers Permit. Took about 10mins total. Super friendly and helpful staff (Joe & Jay), nice clean property with complimentary coffee and water. Pricey for passport photos ($12) but that’s on me as I forgot to bring some. Great experience overall.
Soto and the staff was a huge help!!!
On this visit we used the travel agent service which is part of our membership. The staff behind the service desk is always friendly. The agents are knowledgeable and do a better job than we could do ourselves.
Been there many times to get my car serviced and repaired. Friendly and helpful staff.
I previously had an issue with repairs that didnt fix my car problems. After I left a review on my concern I was sent a message by the owner to send in further information as to get the problems resolved. I am pleased to say that Wes, the manager, called me and listened to my concern. We were able to come to a fix with my issues that I am completely happy with. Ive always had good communication with Wes and the staff at AAA. I feel they are truly committed to getting the job done and satisfying the customer. Thank you
The customer service and the techs are the best. (Thanks Adam) They fix what needs to be fixed and tell you if there are other problems or what you may need to look at soon. And, more importantly, they fix it right the first time.I wont be taking my cars anywhere else!
I do not recommend any establishment that blatantly lies to your face. Be aware of a smug little man with a “short mans syndrome” that works on Sundays. He lies and is lazy. Try NTB or Mr Tire just a couple of miles away for great service!
The facility is in a great location and the customer service at this location is just outstanding. Ive been going there for over a year now and have never had one bad experience. Ive always received quick and informative service. I like the store inside and have bought a couple of things from there for traveling. It is definitely not the cheapest place to go to shop for traveling stuff but if you need the things at the last minute you probably definitely can get it from them. Whenever I had a question about my insurance or was dealing with something related to my coverage I could always get answers from any insurance agents working there.
Grest customer service. A one stop convenient place for auto, travel, and insurance needs. I have been using this location since it has opened; they have a wonderful staff.
Great service and friendly staff. Stopped by the Columbia branch to renew my membership; afterwards I asked if someone could look at my front tire as I had been losing air the past couple of days. Adam assisted me with my car and although he said it would probably be 2 hours, he was able to get my car looked at a lot sooner which I greatly appreciate. Unfortunately, I had a cracked rim so AAA was unable to help me but Adam took the time to suggest some places I might be able to obtain a refurbished rim. I have been a customer of AAA since 1982 and have always had excellent customer service all around. The Columbia office staff is wonderful --very helpful and the entire staff always offers their assistance with a smile. Today, Adam provided great customer service which definitely did not go unnoticed. THANKS!!!!
Needed an oil change and this is my preferred place to get it done. Had a new experience while there in that one if their customer reps came by to poll people on their membership and talked about the various levels. I actually found out about a membership perk that I will be using in the future
Today I went AAA Columbia Car care center for service my car, Today was my the first time working with AAA. I would like to prefer schedule an appointment online or over phone to get things better and save your time. 1 week before I made an appointment and mention all my required service details and requested for an estimate. I got a reasonable estimate by the very next day. When I went here, the service person in the front desk estimated much higher amount for those services !I told him, I got estimates over phone and email, and showed him the estimate details - Then he is agreed to do the service with my email rates. So, Walk-ins be careful about that. Also they charged some amount for Shop Fees, even if I am a member of AAA !!!Other than these, I had an oil change, Wheel alignment and I am very satisfied for the cost and the quality of the works they have done. Also the office staffs are very helpful.
I stopped in to get a tail light bulb replaced and new windshield wiper blades. The schedule was booked for the day and even a week out. One of the managers offered to go back in the shop and do this for me so I didnt have to wait a week or more. I was very impressed with how the team at Columbia AAA went above and beyond to help me out.
They won me over as soon aa they opened!
The extra cost is well worth it instead of braving the MVA. I did not even have to wait to begin the process of getting a car registered, and the employee helping me was friendly and competent.
Our travel agent is Rebecca MaltzShe is the GREATEST lady ever. They are so nice there. And we are always satisfied when we go there.
These guys have lost my trust and business. I will be cancelling my AAA membership. Very terrible experience. Three strikes and youre out.1. Took my wifes car there and mechanic dismissed her concerns insisting that the battery just needed a charge (when we came from advance and their system read a dead cell) left and the car died within 24 hours.2. Came back, got a new alternator installed. Car died within 24 hours again.3. AAA claims defective part. Get alternator replaced again. 3 visits for 1 fix.My car dies. I specifically write need new alternator on my drop tag. Mechanic calls and says they had to disconnect and reconnect the battery (I had tried jumping the car 3 times, battery kept dying... alternator issue). Receive my car and wouldnt you know it, within 24 hours car dies. I jump it, and battery light is still on, car keeps dying. Take it to firestone, they say the issue IS the alternator.
The auto center is a life saver! My headlight went out and I had called last night and tried to make an appointment but was told there were none available until a week from now. They told me I could bring it in as a walk-in but I’d be waiting some time for it. I said okay and brought it in today fully expecting to wait two hours or so, I was pleasantly surprised when they had it finished and me walking out the door within an hour! I didn’t catch the two gentlemen’s name who helped me at the counter but they were awesome. Thank you so much for the quick and friendly service!
Great Customer Service. Didnt have to feel like I was getting ripped off.
Staff is very courteous. Care repair is very straightforward. I never feel like I am being sold unneeded services.
Im always THRILLED with the customer service here! In addition to car repairs, we also got our passport photos here. Clean and professional. They also got a Lyft for me, so I could get home. Ill be a AAA customer for life.
Fast service! Got my International Drivers License in 30 minutes or less. Very efficient service and polite sales folks!
Nice staff. Services outside of oil changes are pricey. The wait time is often very long.
I had a belt break on my Chevy so I figured since I have AAA plus I will just use their shop. This was a mistake. Hopefully with more experience working as a service shop what happened to me will not happen to anyone else. I love their towing service and was so surprised by my experience. My car was not safe to drive when I got it back, the swing bar was completely off the car exp one point. The prices were also very high.
Towed here for a flat tire. They made getting a new one easy and efficient. The service center itself is nice and clean, with complimentary drinks.
AAA in Columbia is reliable and knowledgeable. Quality mechanics that are hard to find... Wes and his team are diamonds in the rough. Always friendly & helpful.
Saw some of the reviews here and felt like I needed to step in.Came in to get an international drivers license. I got a really friendly greeting at the door. Drivers license process was super easy. Got some extra travel tips and I was in and out in maybe 8-10 minutes. Thanks!
After a long day at work I found my car to have a flat tire after getting it pumped up I went over to AAA to see if they could fix the leak cause by a failed valve stem Chris and Byron had the leak fixed in no time. Thank you again will defitnly be back!
First time working with this facility. Had my Jeep towed in late Saturday night and left it with the night drop. Received a call early Sunday afternoon explaining exactly what the issue was and how much it would cost to fix it. The part had to be ordered and, since it was Sunday, they said it would arrive early afternoon Monday. Monday at approximately 12:30, they called to say that my Jeep was ready to go. Car care assistant manager was very professional and personable. Technician who repaired my Jeep spent time with me and showed me what he had repaired and explained exactly why it was necessary. This facility has won me over because of their outstanding customer service!
Generally I always have good experiences shopping there. They have essential travel items at reasonable prices.
Great place for car stuff and travel. Great customer service.
The staff are always courteous and attentive. Plus, the auto repair rates are MUCH better than my dealership!
I took my sedan over to AAA with a starter problem with no appointment in hopes they could help me before Christmas. With four hours of sleep Adam welcomed my business where other shops said wait till after Christmas, haaa-ha. He made it painless and offered a price on par for what it should have cost. The Lyft rides are also a plus if you ask. Thanks for helping me out Adam.I take two vehicles there as well for oil changes. The price is good but be ready to wait 2-3 hours with an appointment.
These folks are Great! We rolled in on a Friday nite at 6pm with a trailer axle issue- needed some grease - receptionist immediately grabbed the manager and he said just pull it over to this door. they were so helpful and got us on our way !Excellent service!!!Great AAA service!!!!!Mark
I have been a Triple AAA member for over 10 years. I am very unhappy with the service here. They are incompetent and overcharge for poor service. Please do not waste your money and time here. Their incompetence is a safety hazard.I brought my car here last week due to minor difficulty with it starting. They said they did a diagnostic smoke test (70$). They informed me I needed a new starter & battery, plus several other repairs (1180+$). My car breaks down within 24hrs after they repair it. I take my car back to them and they tell me I need repairs done to my transmission. This was not mentioned before. They said they did not check the transmission when I brought it in the first time. What was the point of the diagnostic? Please do not waste money and time at this location.
Come on AAA, if you are under-staffed, hire more people. I scheduled for a 7am oil change. But I didnt walk out of the store until 8:45am. I was told that my car was ready at 8am, but the only guy working the phone was so busy, that he couldnt check me out. Also, way to be dishonest. I literally just replaced my air cabin filter yesterday. But still today was told that my air cabin filter is dirty, and should be replaced. I am sure your technician didnt even check my filter. Now I am worried that if my oil was even changed! I dont think I will come back anymore. Update: AAA reached out to me to contact them directly. I did, and nothing happened. No follow up, no anything. AAA is trying to make you think that they will correct their bad behaviors. But dont be fooled.
Horrible auto body service and I felt racism that I cancelled my AAA membership subscription. Asians and all other minorities, dont go to this service (They will rip you apart)! I did really enjoy AAA service when I was in Pennsylvania and feel sorry for the company that I cancelled my membership because of this one horrible local office. I will write a detailed review below why/how I felt this.1. I moved here Maryland after finishing my PhD from Pennsylvania to live with my wife. I made an appointment over the phone and went there on the schedule. BUT the person there was saying that no appointment was made. (maybe because of my accent but still not acceptable as I never had trouble making an appointment during my 12 year stay in USA) However, I dropped my car to get the car inspection as I needed to change my title/registration to Maryland from Pennsylvania. Not surprisingly (similar to other reviews below), AAA was requesting huge repair with expensive quote. But I believed it since I really had good/genuine service at Pennsylvania AAA. However, I wanted to go in person to check the order in detail. There, I was seeing the repairing quote and car and all of sudden, a mechanic was pointing out a line (that was seemed fine to me) that oh yeah, this one needs to be fixed and this will be expensive. Then, I was really skeptical because it is their job to fully inspect the car and give the quote carefully to customers. - second thing that made me feel racism as I felt that this store is trying to rip me apart because I am an Asian. (I had never felt this past 12 years) Then, I requested my car to be moved to other mechanic store, which they didnt want that to happen and tried to persuade me (basically, they refused). At that time, I was so tired of having conversation hearing their stories that I just let this store handle repair. And also I bought winter auto maintenance package (I forgot the correct name) which give you two free engine oil. I used the first one when repairing my auto. This engine oil story will lead to my second and last story.2. Two months after the auto repair, I made another appointment to replace my engine oil as I had one free engine oil remaining from the winter auto maintenance package. And I went there finding that my appointment was not made again. I was outraged because I didnt go to the work for that days morning to get my engine oil replaced. The service guy was saying that yeah just drop the car, we will replace the oil but it will take several hours. So, am I too sensitive to call this racism? I havent felt racism during my 12 year stay in USA until this place. Anyhow, I didnt have choice but to leave the car. After the oil got replaced, I went there to pick my car. When I was about to go out, people were calling me that I had to pay. And I told them I had one free engine oil left. Then, they said, Oh you are right, sorry. To me, I felt like they were trying to rip me apart by making me pay additional money because I am Asian.3. There were another things. Everytime (for me two times) I got the repair/engine oil replaced, I asked the service people to please reset my maintenance alarms, which they didnt. I wonder why they just ignored my request everytime because I am Asian.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Edit: I got a call from Chris Storm who is AAA regional director. It was nice of him to reach out to me to about these incidents. He was trying to assure me that racism wasnt part of it but rather it was miscommunication/misconduct of junior service person. I didnt fully agree with him but some parts were understandable. He wanted to compensate me with coupons but I declined as I dont have AAA membership currently (also I dont think I want to go there again). He said that he will train the customer service more thoroughly. Hope, the service will be better and there wont be future of me.
Terrible demeanor provided by your agent Tony Mack. This branch needs to have a fluent bilingual speaker so that this individual does not appeared bothered by Spanish speaking costumers. Remember that any services provided by AAA is not free. We are in 2019 and it’s unfortunate that it’s almost impossible to get ahold of a fluent Spanish speaking agent. Helped with the problem, yes, yet seem very bothered.
Great service. Honest and reliable!
The worst experience I have had at a car shop. Got there as soon as they opened in the morning and was assured they had time to check out my car. I left and came back when they told me my car would be ready. I was greeted with them telling me they had just received the part they needed for the 3 hour job my car needed. I received no update whatsoever all day about this. Needless to say, there was not enough time in the day and I was told it was gonna be until tomorrow when I could get my car back, but don’t worry “I’ll get a discount”. Because everyone has a back up car, right? Came back to them expecting me to pay full price for the work done. Obviously there is a lack of communication between employees and no concern for customer service. I will not be back.
Terrible experience if you have a pick up truck or SUV steer clear of this repair place for they know not how to repair trucks and SUV. The service manager informed me in order to repair my truck he had to break a part that was not broken and charge me for breaking and replacing a part that was not broken. Horrible repairs and the two year warranty is a scam for they did not replace the water pump properly as well as it went bad within the first year of the warranty and AAA did not stand behind the customer warranty a rip off operation if ever I experienced one. I strand behind my statement and welcome AAA to dispute the events. I kept the damage water pump to back up my account. It appears AAA uses refurbish auto parts.
They didnt repair the stuff I agreed to. They actually did more so I ended up with repairs I didnt have to pay for. They were very friendly.
I always have a excellent service at this AAA center the staff is always helpful and friendly. You can have good conversation with some of the customers in store. I will come back to this store all the time for whatever I need.
Less expensive then the dealer and the waiting area is nice and clean. The service technicians dont try to sell you a bunch of services you dont need.
Staff is great service is good, they do take a awhile for an oil change or any repair for that matter. if you are. member there is a discount
Very clean and the agent was very helpful
Good
Manually called in to AAA to renew membership. However, after checking my insurance, we had roadside assistance. AAA wold not refund our money even at a pro-rated rate. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING THEM ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.
Friendly staff. Went for some maps and liked they have a map wall where we could pick all the maps we needed the staff was helpful when looking for international maps. Liked that they didnt push more services.
Wes’s and Adam’s customer relations skills should be set as the standard, everywhere.
Customer service was great, but the mechanic that did the work on my truck, did not secure the break lines that were replaced, the rear breaks were not adjusted and emergency break was to tight. When I picked up the truck my Airconditioner wasnt working at all. I Returned and service said they would check it out. Dont know what the mechanic did but they didnt charge me for fixing the Airconditioner that wasnt broken before I dropped off my truck.
Helpful staff. Efficient checkout with a return so it was a good experience. Hard to see them. At back of complex.
My girlfriend is a AAA member so she used this facility for a simple oil change last week while I was out of town. They told her that she needed new brakes because her brakes were metal-on-metal in the rear and were DANGEROUS and HAD to be replaced immediately at a cost of over $400! It was a scam as her brakes are fine on a car with only 35k miles. Women - do not trust this store!
On 8/23 I took my granddaughters 2008 Cadillac CTS into AAA on Minstrel Way Columbia Md for a brake inspection. Car has about 51,000 miles. I received a bill for approx. $850 to replace all brakes and rotors. On 8/27 I took same car to my mechanic in Jessup Md for the repair work. My mechanic found all brakes to be at the 80% availability level and the rotors were all good. In other words NO BRAKE WORK IS NECESSARY. Based upon my experience, AAA on Minstrel way in Columbia Md is a dishonest and incompetent car repair establishment. I would give this outfit a negative rating but it is not possible with this post.
Quick in and out just before the lunch rush.
One of my favorite places on the Planet! They are quick and super sweet!
My car would not start and i got it towed to this shop. The check engine light was on when It was taken there. It took three days for them to fix the problem. I had to call continuously to check on status, and in the end. the check engine light still came on after the repair. I would not recommend this AAA.
