We rented from them for a year and there is not one bad thing we could say. They had a wonderful maintenance team who worked very timely and efficiently. They were very timely to respond with any questions or concerns. We used their recommendations for professional cleaning of the house and floors and had no issues. They were good to us. And because of that, I have already been recommending them for anyone needing a rental.

Ashford has been largely pleasant to deal with as a tenant, but do not count on them to work with you on missed vendor appointment fees. We agreed with the vendor on a date that service would be provided at our home, but approximately a week out we did not have an appointment time or time window. The vendor indicated theyd let us know when the schedule was complete for that day, but we did not hear back from them. We ended up being out of town for my grandmothers funeral on the day of the appointment. Given our difficult circumstances, I forgot about the appointment on the day of so no one was home. I acknowledged our part in the matter, but informed Ashford that the vendor did not give us a time or time window for the appointment so we did not have a reminder of the appointment (nor would we have known when to be home if we had been in town). The vendor called us WHEN THEY ARRIVED TO PROVIDE SERVICE THE DAY OF. The vendor takes no responsibility for their failure to provide us a time window prior to the day of the appointment. I am very disappointed that Ashford would not take the difficulty of our situation into account when assessing fees or hold their vendor accountable for their part in the matter. The $50 is not the issue, it is the principle that neither this management company nor their vendor will extend us any consideration in this situation.

We are quite pleased with the staff. We also have had a few occasions to contact the maintenance division. Todd and Madison have been most enjoyable to work with; they are responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable...definite assets to a professional staff.

Just a note if you are being charged a late fee it is against the Governors Order D 2021 073 that was put in place by Governor Polis. In talking with Aaron it sounds as if maybe he or the owners as he blamed are not up on all of the current laws. I encourage you as a renter to do so on your own. Aaron seems to only be up on the eviction mortarium. Governor Polis does keep extending the order on late fees so if you have been charged please google the order and get your monies back.

We rented 2 different properties with Ashford when we lived in Colorado Springs and had we not have left the state, would have continued with them. In the last rental, they had just taken it over from the owners and it had a horrendous smell. Ashford went above and beyond to get the smell resolved. Anytime we had an issue, they worked very quick and efficiently at resolving the issue. The whole crew is friendly. Paying rent online is effortless and we have always gotten our deposit back. I love that they come inspect every 6 months and take pictures to document the condition. I would highly recommend renting from Ashford. If I had rental property in Colorado, I would definitely use them as my management company.

They have all the right trade contacts to arrange for quick and professional service and repairs. They maintain proactive and timely communication between both owners and tenants. They are extremely responsive to inquiries from both owners and tenants. Their online portal makes it easy to find relevant documents an information. If I need someone to manage another property in the Colorado Springs, CO area Ashford will be my first choice.

Todd is in the field and knows exactly what is going on in your house and his attention to detail of things that need to be fixed, currently in process of being fixed to customer relations are always at the top most of his mind. My family and I have been in Colorado Springs for a little over 3 years during that time we have had a couple rentals sold out from under us. Therefore, we have dealt with our fair share of property management companies. We have always considered ( as most people do) that our security deposit is nothing more than a move-in fee as most property management companies will make things up, charge you for things that are either normal wear and tear or were like that when you moved in. We typically left most properties in better condition than when we moved in. Every rental company (except for Ashford) during that time ripped us off for the bulk of our security deposit. However, I have to admit when we left the rental managed by Ashford we were on vacation the last couple weeks before we moved out and then when I got back I injured my rib so in this particular instance we did not leave the property in as nice of condition as we normally would have. Ashford could have easily used up all of our security deposit. I have no doubt that if we were with any other property management company we would have not only lost all of our security deposit but we would have received a bill on top of it. Ashford was very fair with us and even returned close to $800 of our security deposit. On top of that they were extremely responsive anytime there was an issue or a request. We would absolutely recommend them for your property management needs regardless of which end of it you are on renting or owning. If you are a renter they will be very fair with you if you are an owner they will take great care of your property.

I was happy with the property rental company and the home itself until after move out. I had no idea that what the inspector said versus what he actually charged for was going to be so different. I was supposed to receive a copy of the billing for the home after the inspection and never received it. To anyone renting, please make sure that you go over the home with a fine tooth comb because they are worse than trying to clear military housing.

I rented from Ashford Realty Group for almost three full years. My experience with them was an extremely positive one. From the beginning to the end. They were responsive with maintenance and repairs. They were fair in terms of what they charged me for and what they didnt. They were flexible in the extension and termination of their leases. All that being said, I received my full security deposit back, and I know if they so pleased, could have came up with small excuses as for reasons to nickel and dime me, but they did not. I was active duty military when I rented from them, and lived near Fort Carson. I would recommend the utilization of Ashford Realty Group to any active duty military who move to the area. In fact, I would recommend them to anyone. I appreciate the experiences they allowed me to have on their rental property and hope they continue to prosper.

When my husband said I will be seeking legal advise over the lease to make sure it is correct. She very rudely says Dont threaten me, Ive been doing this for 10 years and who do you think helped write this lease for us.My husband then states Im not threatening you, I want to just seek legal advise on the matter.She very unprofessionally says, You Military are all the same and will try anything to get out of anything.Im sorry but if you are professional then you should never make a comment like this to anyone.I will never recommend Ashford Realty to any military families in the area.

I had the best experience with Ashford! This is the only place to go if youre looking to buy or sell a home. I know this process is supposed to be stressful, but Nicole made it seamless. Anything that needed to be done, she took charge. Whether it was taking the time during evening to look at houses, help setting up contractors, meeting contractors during work hours, and even pushing other agents to meet deadlines to ensure on-time closing- she took the reigns. If ever I am needing these types of services again, Ashford will be called!!

We have owned and leased multiple properties in Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. Weve never had a problem with leasing until we used Ashford Realty. When we moved to Colorado Springs, we wanted a short-term lease so that we could become familiar with the city before we purchased. We found the perfect house in the Powers neighborhood. It was a short-term rental from managed by Ashford Realty. We moved into the house in February, with a 4-month lease that was open to extension after the four months. The house was listed as no pets and no smoking, which was perfect because we didnt have pets and we dont smoke. After moving in, we had multiple problems. The condition report they sent to us included multiple photos of the house and yard that were old. We knew this because the photos of the yard showed green grass and several photos of the interior were with different paint colors then what was in the house. They apologized for the mistakes and told us to make note of any issues on our inspection report. So, we did. After we had been in the house a couple of weeks, we discovered that the garage and the basement reeked of cat urine. We also discovered that one of the cabinets in the kitchen had apparently been used to store marijuana. Both smells were strong and awful. Apparently, the smells had been covered up with some chemical, but the cover-up had worn off. Ashford refused to come to the house and check on these things. They insisted that no pets or smoking had occurred with the previous tenants. So, we dealt with the issues ourselves. Then, in May, we noticed the yards around us had turned green while our yard was still winter-brown. We contacted Ashford but nothing happened, except they sent us notice that the lease would not be extended at the end of June. In June, they came to pre-inspect the house for move-out. After seeing the yard, they sent a special yard guy to examine the lawn. He told us they would discuss the issue and get back to us. We never heard back. After we moved out, Ashford invoiced us over $2,000 to replace the lawn. That consumed our entire deposit plus extra money. When I contacted them, they refused to discuss the issue with me. After multiple attempts to get the owner of Ashford to respond, I gave up. They took my deposit, claiming that I didnt water the lawn, so that it died and had to be replaced. I was only there 4 months, and those were months in the spring when it snowed and rained far too much to require watering. I believe the previous tenants must have sprayed the lawn with Round-up before they left. There is no way that we did anything to damage the lawn, but Ashford, took my entire deposit without discussion. After we left, they put in a new lawn and then sold the house for the owners. There is no way I would recommend Ashford to anyone. In my opinion, they are dishonest crooks.

They were the best I could ever ask for. Ashford rented my house out for me for 5 years, and when I asked them to finally sell my house, they did it super fast and got me top value for my home. I am sad my business with them is over, but glad I had them on my side the whole way.

I have rented from a property managed by Ashford, and when we were ready to buy a house, Lori Weissmiller was AMAZING!Renting was great. We never had a problem, and the few small maintenance requests we made were handled promptly and professionally. I actually really appreciate the thoroughness of their move-in and move-out process, and if we need property management in the future, I will absolutely call them.When we were ready to buy a house, Lori was so helpful. She arranged so many showings in an organized manner and got a perfect sense of what we wanted before we even really knew! She was SO communicative, and I even got responses around the holidays. I felt like a priority, which was so nice during a daunting task like buying my first home. She also gives great advice. I can’t stress how important she was to our family during this process. We just closed today, and Im sad to not be workig with Lori anymore, but so excited to move into our perfect home!

I had a friend scheduled for an appointment to view a home and no one showed up at the scheduled time. I live in a different state and am relying on my friend to be my eyes. I had left a message from n a number that was in an email I received. I never could seem to reach anyone so I looked on google and found Ashford Realty and it was not the same number I had been calling at all. I contacted that Ashford Realty and not the one from the email and got a call back from Laurie. It seems I may have received an email from a bogus company pretending to be Ashford Realty and so my appointment was never set up. Laurie was very nice and helped to get everything rescheduled properly.

Within a week of switching our rental properties to Ashford Realty for management Nicole Lee was able to successfully sell one of our properties that had been on the market for 8 months. She walked us through the sale process and kept us updated every step of the way. We have been pleased with her management of our remaining properties and using Ashford Realtys web portal is easy and an effective way of keeping us in the loop on property details. If I had to identify one quality in which Ashford Realty excells I would have to pick communication. I am kept updated and get as much or as little detail as I want. I would recommend their services to friends and family.

RENTERS BEWARE, Ashford Realty are nothing but cons and thieves!!!! We rented property from them for 16 months. We left the house in better shape then when we received the keys and we were NEVER late on one payment, not even 1 day! They robbed us of $800 when it was time to return our deposit. We were charged almost $200 for them to replace the air filter in the furnace. $145 to remove a child proof door knob. These simply pop off, no effort what so ever. When we confronted them with receipts of proof that we changed the filter (every 3 months and the last day we had possession of the house), they bold faced lied and said that it was dirty. This is just simply impossible. We were promised a call back 2 days later to come to terms, but never received that call. Weve tried calling and nobody will return our calls now. Once the holidays are over, we will be contacting the BBB and an attorney. I work for a HUGE company (fortune 500) and we have transfers coming in and out all year long. I advise every single one of them to avoid Ashford now. I could sit here all day and complain about other things that they have done, like taking the sliding screen door to repair it and never bringing it back, the paint in the entire house was spotty with bad attempts to touch up, and they took money out of our deposit stating they needed to repaint. ALL LIES!!!! If youre looking for a place to get bent over and plowed with no lube or protection, then Ashford Realty is your place!!!

I love that they only accept one application at a time. So far we had no problems renting through them. The toilet had a problem and they fixed it right away. Very happy!

Ive seen multiple property inspections from the Ashford Realty Group. They are really thorough and regularly visit all their properties. They do a combination of Move In, Move Out, and Routine Inspections.

We were clients of Ashford for four years. The communication with this company is horrible. I asked numerous times to be called or emailed directly for updates about specific issues. Not even once did I receive a call, after being promised that I would be in the loop. And I sent a realtor from out of state to inspect my property, which I was then told it would be inconvenient for them and that basically I had to get their permission to have another agent inspect MY home (because they hadnt done it in four years). Also, I never got one report of an inspection the entire time my renters lived there (four years). I also called to tell them that my listing agent would be coming to get keys for the property and they denied access to him into MY house. This service was the biggest waste of my money. They do not do anything but collect a check from you every month and hardly do anything to earn it. I also had to find my own tenants, which should have been my first clue as to how much of a priority their clients are to them. I wouldnt recommend this company to my worst enemy! Learn from my mistake and FIND ANYONE ELSE! Update: Nicole Lee called me this morning to address my review, she left a voice mail, and I returned her call six minutes later, also left a message stating I was returning her call, and never heard back all day.

This has got to be the most god awe full place to rent from. I was simply viewing a property to potentially apply to rent it. An obese lady showed up to show us the place wearing a half shirt / sweater type thing with her belly hanging out the bottom. She knew almost nothing about the place, in fact gave us false information. It took 3 days to get her to return our phone call in the first place. After spending time looking at the place, even with the lousey service we decided wed make an offer / apply only to find out it was not available. Buyer Beware! Unprofessional, dont return calls or answer phones. When they do, they dont know what theyre doing and compose themselves like human trash. Stay away this place even if some home owner was fooled in to listing with them.

We used this company for two years to rent our property. The first year wasnt seamless but we werent discouraged from using them another year. The second year wasnt bad until Ashford discovered that we were selling and we werent using them. I have heard that they expected us to allow our current tenants to do a month to month lease but when they called us to find out, our answer was no and our tenants were upset. The tenants did not allow our realtor to come into our home until they were gone, per the lease they were supposed to let the realtor in but they made it extremely difficult. When we called Ashford they simply stated that it was in their lease. Well this isnt completely Ashfords fault. The tenants moved out. It took the company more than 4 weeks to complete the house to turnover to our realtor. We are not rich people or professional landlords and were struggling to pay rent and mortgage. Several calls were made to Ashford and when they were answered, they were answered days later. When the house was finally handed over to our realtor, the fence was destroyed, there were holes in our walls, the tenants dog chewed the wall beside the door, garage door opener was taken, and my realtor found an old dead mouse under our sink after the claim that the house was professionally cleaned. Ashford responded by saying the fence was old and that there was a receipt for the cleaning. After I posted a review initially, the fence was repaired and after several emails, the garage door opener was replaced.We had to pay to professionally clean our house, $200. Which may not seem to terrible but a month of not listing our house and paying to clean it and no answers to emails is exhausting. I previously put a review and was asked to take it down. I did so, thinking that everything was going to be taken care of. It wasnt. Marvin in maintenance is unreasonable and really should not be in the business of customer service. The only saving grace is Melanie. She is the only person in this company that has any sense.I am sure that there will be something saying this is my fault or I am being unreasonable but if you plan on selling the property that you are renting, do not use them. I suspect that if you are using them to just rent your property and will use them to sell, the experience is different.I would not suggest to friends or family. Please beware.***UPDATE****Our tenants moved out on 05/31/15, we sold our house through another company on 08/05/2015, we have still not resolved our issues with Ashford. Ashford is now charging us for an electric bill that was not paid by them, it was paid by us and they are charging us to clean the yard on the house. I read the review after mine and I can not stress enough how we can not get a single person to call us back. I have left messages, called several times, and nothing. I am now going through the BBB as a last effort to get our money back. At this point, Im questioning Small Claims Court. This is not something that I want to do b/c we live out of state but I feel that they are taking advantage of us b/c we are not there. If you value your property and your money, please consider these reviews, go to BBB and look at those reviews, and use another company. There are several good property management companies out there. Do your homework.

Ive worked with Nicole and her team for almost a decade and couldnt be happier with her level of dedication and detail.Its the only rental property I own and Im now in another state, so I have to trust Ashford Realty Group with any and all issues that come with renting.
