My laptop wouldnt boot up due to a failed solid state hard drive failure. Bobby was able to install a new hard drive with no data loss. All my programs, including MS Office apps worked. Also had a problem with desktop hard drive and Bobby was able to resolve that as well. I was able to get in the same day (late) and had both machines back the next day. Came in with a large drive I was expecting to pay hundreds to hopefully recover. And I was happy with that. When I got here he diagnosed the drive, discovered it was a smaller more fun cable issue that another company specialized in doing.For no charge he helped set up my order with the company. Some years ago while visiting Colorado Springs, we had a laptop that had a hard drive issue. Had a hard drive fail in my work laptop, took to BB store to get fixed, all they did was replace the hard drive and reload (mostly) windows 10 and told me the drive was bad ( that’s what I told them) anyway I took it to Bobby at Hollywood data recovery and he recovered all the data from the drive !! Really cool repair shop, was struggling with my new pc build for a while and brought it in for a look. The guy is very professional and took care of my issue right away with no charge. I built my first computer a few months ago. I probably made a few mistakes during the memory and CPU cooler installation process. No wonder why my PC keeps freezing every time whether is just logging in and bam it freezes or start playing a demanding game such as Fortnite or Monster Hunter World, it would freeze. Very good. I was in the middle of moving around files between external hard drives when my screen just went black and wouldnt come back on. I searched Google maps for computer repair and every place in town was closed except here. I called and he picked right up on a weekend morning and said he could meet me there in 30 minutes. It turned out the computer had just overheated. We tried applying new thermal paste and cleaning out unnecessary background programs but it still runs hot. It always has though, and according to some online searching my model has a design flaw with the heat sink. I just hadnt seen it shut off like that before. He was generous about the time spent and the new thermal paste since the origin of the issue was the design flaw with the heat sink. He even found a replacement for a missing screw on the bottom cover that I needed. 10/10 would recommend.

OMG! I had an emergency external hard drive failure today. I called all over the world to see how much it was going to cost for data recovery. I would have to send it off... i was quoted at least $500, but could easily get up to $1500 depending on the complexity of the data recovery 😢. I am a graphic designer and my ENTIRE portfolio is on that external hard drive. It was going to take at least a week to send it out and have it returned on a new external hard drive. Adjusted my PC unit on the floor and the power went off. Figured I hit the power cord. Booted and it would turn on, off, on...but no display. Went through a lot of troubleshooting, including buying a new PSU. No joy. Found Hollywood PC Repair and the great reviews, so I messaged Bobby. Brought my PC to him the next day and he did some extensive troubleshooting...more than what I would have been able to do with what I had available. Within 30 minutes, he found the motherboard had gone out. Bobby even took some time to search out some MOBOs to see what might work with the processor I had.I cant say enough about what Bobby did for me. Built my first gaming PC and was freaking out late at night because it didnt boot/post. Looked online and saw no repair places open till Monday....BUT! When I first bought my PC a few years ago I slowly felt as if I got ripped off for all the trouble I was having playing games. I got a few new parts and called up Hollywood PC Repair! Offered to do it that night! I ended up going to his shop around 6PM the next day which was on a weekend. Most PC repairs are closed on weekends but not Hollywood, open 24/7! He even carried my PC from my car and worked on it in front of me (which I like considering the fraud and lying in the world) for about 2 and a half hours. I paid under half what I was quoted from two other places. The quality of service I got for the price I paid made me feel as if I was ripping the shop off and even offered a tip twice but he would not accept. That is integrity! I also felt as if I got a free “class” on the basics of my PC while I was there. I learned so much from his very credible knowledge on computers. He cleaned my PC to make it faster and got rid of adware to make things way smoother. I do not recommend any PC repair other than Hollywood PC Repair in the Springs. Bobby at Hollywood PC Repair quickly diagnosed my computer which had a fried motherboard. He then made a few recommendations for me on which direction to go. After that he sent my hard drive out to have it repaired. While the hard drive was out, Bobby gave me several updates on where everything was at. Once the hard drive came back in, He made a separate backup of it so that if I had any trouble at all, he would have a separate working backup for me. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!! I backed up all of my kids pictures to an external drive, dating as far back as 2002. When the drive stopped working, I thought for sure I lost everything. When Bobby told me the drive started fine but was extremely corrupted I assumed it would be hopeless. I waited patiently to hear what he could come up with. When he told me he was done it was kind of late but he waited for me to get there to go over what he came up with. We searched for a bit but didnt find any if them. Bobby said he would keep looking through the disk image and let me know if he found anything else. I got the drive home, put it in the Mac and searched for almost an hour. I was just about to give up and chalk it up as a loss when I opened one last folder and there they were. Every last picture of my kids from the last 15 years. Even all of the family photos from the 60s and 70s. Bobby was super understanding and so accommodating to my needs. He kept me updated the entire time and even gave me a great deal. Well worth the money and time. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to everyone with computer issues. One of the nicest and most helpful people Ive ever met!

Terrible experience :-). He had me in and out in 20 minutes with my problem solved. The disappointing aspect was I actually liked Bobby and could have spent an hour and a number of beers just chatting. If your CPU is feeling down and out. I highly recommend using this service.Mike

Great all around experience. I troubleshoot my own PCs and hit a wall were I did not want to purchase expensive software or hardware to fix hard drive problems. I called and he fit me into his schedule for quick diagnostic within 30 minutes. Drive was toast just like he said over phone, but he was willing to test for free just to make sure. Would recommend anybody I know to take computer issues to this business.

Bobby has a ton of integrity.My computer was not turning on and I tried a bunch of different things and was starting to think my motherboard was shot. I thought my warranty had ended so I wanted a second opinion before replacing the motherboard. I sent Bobby a text with everything I tried and he told me that I had tried everything he would have, but he informed me that many credit cards offer an extended warranty. I then called the credit card company and was able to put in a claim.In short, Bobby save me a ton of time, hassle and money. Thank you Bobby! I am a system administrator and will be referring all my users to Hollywood PC when they are having issues with personnal computers that do not fall within our support policy.
