When my wife and I started looking into a kitchen / house re-model I interviewed several contractors all of which seemed more interested in giving us the estimate before really finding out what we wanted. When we got our first visit from B and J it was a different experience entirely. Tim Wurtz was the first face we saw from B and J. He listened to what we wanted and truly seemed interested in making our vision happen. When he left our house to write up a proposal my wife and I both said I think we found our contractor.Tim was involved in every step of planning and execution of the project and was honest about what would and would not work but always had a work around in mind.The crew from B and J ( Heath, Mike and Jeff) that performed the work were just as impressive. They were always professional and were perfectionists down to the smallest detail. It was a true pleasure having them work in our home.Some of the work was sub contracted out like the granite counters stairs and flooring. That too was a wonderful experience. I felt that B and J expects the same flawless performance from the subs as they would from their own crew.Our job was a large undertaking and we were a bit intimidated by the amount of work required but B and J coordinated all the moving parts and kept a steady flow going throughout the job from start to finish.I would recommend B and J to any of my friends and family and they are certainly my first call should I need anymore work done. In short I cannot speak highly enough of the great experience B and J provided for us.

B & J contractors have just completed a Decora kitchen cabinet install for us. From start to finish working with their team has been an absolute pleasure. This is the best contractor Ive ever worked with. They are professional, always on time, polite, have meticulous attention to detail and were willing to accommodate and execute quickly every change we wanted. Dave, our project manager was wonderful to work with, he was always responsive and ahead of schedule and made sure we were happy at every step. Their install team came every day on time and worked hard and safely (following protocols for covid). They were polite and always made sure every detail was done the way we wanted. My kitchen was completed ahead of schedule, which was wonderful to be able to keep my remodel on track to have my kitchen back in time for Christmas and it is truly beautiful. B&J Contractors is the best contracting company Ive worked with in over a decade of hiring remodeling contractors and I wish I could take them to all of my properties throughout the country. This company came through for us under crisis conditions. B&J Contractors picked up our project after a previous company failed to perform and did so beyond our expectations. B&J came in under budget and under time. Barbara, is the most professional person I have met in the business, wonderful at communication, and always responding to our questions quickly. The contractors at B&J are timely and provide the clearest and fairest products I have seen. My wife and I have worked with multiple contracting companies and independent contractors over the course of a decade and B&J Contractors is easily the best weve ever experience. I wish we could take them with us to all of our properties all over the country.

After receiving quotes from 3 companies, we decided to go with B&J Contractors. I can’t even begin to tell you how great they were to work with. I’m not a decorator and I just couldn’t randomly pick a vanity, sink, mirror, counter, lights, fixtures; it was super overwhelming to me. Dave from B&J walked me through everything and was patient with me throughout the process. We had some weird plumbing that the previous owners somehow rigged and Dave’s crew took care of EVERYTHING. Was it expensive? Yes. Was it more than what we “hoped” to pay? Yes. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. Dave took great care of us and if we had to do it over again, I’d pick him again... hands down. The finished full bathroom is nicer now than our master bath but looks SO GOOD compared to what it was before. From quote to final payment... excellent experience.

B&J did a full remodel of our kitchen and main floor. Tim and his team were absolutely amazing. It turned out better than we had hoped and there were zero headaches for us. They completed the remodel while covid was spiking in our community and they took care to ensure everyone involved was safe. Every craftsmen and subcontractor we had in our home was professional and competent. B&J was absolutely money well spent; I cannot speak more highly of them. We are so grateful for the finished product.

B&J General Contractors completed work on my mother’s house to accommodate her husbands wheelchair needs. It was a huge undertaking and they got it done in a timely matter with an outstanding, beautiful and functional end result. They took a house with three bedrooms upstairs and converted it into two bedrooms with a giant wheelchair accessible shower and a huge master closet. They also added French doors off the master bedroom with a composite deck and an ADA compliant ramp (as well as one in the garage). They were very knowledgeable and informative, we as everyday people really did not know all the important steps, codes or decisions that go into a quality remodel and they walked us through every step and answered any questions we had. We highly recommend B&J General Contractors!

We had B&J do our Kitchen in 2017 and then our Master Bath this year (2020). They worked with us to help stay within our budget. Best part is they team with local businesses, such as Planet Granite, Floor Craft, and others to deliver quality products. What project doesnt have a few bumps on the road. We recently had a complete basement remodel done, due to water damage. Dave was quick to respond to our house to give us an estimate. The job was not a small task, as it involved a full bathroom, two bedrooms and a large family room. The drywall repairs perfectly matched the texture on our walls. They assisted us in choosing the right color combinations for the bathroom countertop, sink, faucet, cabinets and flooring. The crew cleaned up their work site everyday, above our expectations and without us having to ask, which allowed our son to remain in his room, in the basement, during the remodel. B&J just did a master bathroom remodel for me and it is beautiful! Tim was the project manager and he was great to work with. Everything was done exactly as I wanted and communication was done constantly so I knew who was doing what and when. We contacted them about redoing a couple of bathrooms and after coming out to do measurements they never sent us a quote. Called them again. No record of measurements, etc. Another guy came out to measure. No quote again. Called again. Left messages with no reply. Just say you dont want the job next time. Be professional.

There are not enough positive things I can say about B&J General Contractors. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and very responsive when it came to the repair and texturing of our vaulted-ceilings throughout our entire living room. Our acoustic ceilings completely collapsed from standing water in our attic, and as stressful as it seemed at the time, it didnt matter the time or the day we called B&J, Barbara and Dave were there to reassure us and answer any questions we had. Everything was done quickly and their workers were very responsive to our needs.B&J did an amazing job with our ceilings and the dry wall turned out immaculate. Dave and Jonny even came out on a Saturday to ensure the quality of their work. They went above and beyond all of our expectations! We appreciate companies and people that treat you the way that they would want to be treated. This company does exactly that. HIGHLY RECOMMEND B&J General Contractors.

Couldnt even get an estimate. I have cash money to spend and because I wanted an estimate for my insurance the woman on the phone said they werent interested.I can understand if you dont do insurance claims, but I just wanted an estimate on cabinet removal and replacement. Thanks for the help

B & J General Contractors, Inc remodeled my kitchen. They estimated 6 to 8 weeks, and completed the job in 4 weeks. The crew was friendly, polite and professional. Changes along the way were incorporated without any issues. My experience working with you was overwhelmingly positive from beginning to end.We already had three bids for a commercial bathroom buildout before Johnny visited the site. A couple of them were comparable to yours and one was $10k more. What baffles me is how these other contractors came up with numbers with no due diligence in place.We were originally going to build the bathroom about 100 feet away from where it ended up, an idea it turned out wouldn’t work because of the location of existing sewer lines. Johnny suspected this right away and brought a sewer locator on site to confirm. He then brought out plumbers to ascertain the scope of their work which included ventilation and core drilling though concrete to access a boiler room below. In the meantime, Johnny conferred with an architect, searched for plans of our 1948 building and began conversations at regional building department about our project. Only then did we receive a bid from B & J. One we could trust.The project got going swiftly once we signed the contract. Bruce, Tim, Tom, Heath and all the subs were courteous, competent, and conscientious of cleanliness. Johnny set up timely appointments for me to choose floor materials and fixtures. It was too easy and seemed like our bathroom magically appeared from nothing in just a few short weeks, exceeding our expectations in beauty and function.Integrity may be an overused buzzword these days, but it’s the perfect word for B & J. You did what you said you were going to do by when you said you’d do it. And any time a hiccup occurred in the process, there was clear communication about when it would be resolved. Every time. Your level of integrity is refreshing and stands out loudly in a time that has come to expect less.Thank you. I will always recommend B & J with enthusiasm.

I just had my kitchen remodeled by B & J Contractors and I am happier than I even thought I could be! Standing in my family room and looking into my kitchen actually gives me goosebumps! From the estimate process, to the demolition of the kitchen, to the finished project - everyone that I worked with was nothing but top notch! B & J remodeled our bathroom for us 10 years ago and made it a perfect wheelchair accessible room for my wife. Not only was everything accessible for my wife, but it was also beautifully done. They were great to work with and have provided meaningful advice and referrals through the years as well.

I know its late in the game but Im an old man and I didnt know I could post my experience with b&j construction. Some years ago b&j sent a man to my house to do my upstairs bathroom. It was a disaster. The tile work was off and the shower pipe was really off center. I complained to Mr. John R. And he acted like the work was justified. They finally fixed the problems but I never again called them for anything. Very expensive and rude. Not worth it.

This is our 3rd major remodel via Barbara and Johnny. Two were voluntary and one out of necessity when a faucet froze and we flooded the basement apartment. All 3 were great experiences. I didnt have to inspect each evening and point out small corrections; they came prepared to fix them. On time and on schedule and budget. You get what you pay for. We will use them again and again.

After discussions over two months for a kitchen remodel, the estimate came in $20,000 over the budget I set forward for this company and what they themselves told me it would be!! Not only did I spend my valuable time meeting with them and picking out samples, but they knew I wanted this done for the holidays- which now will not happen. Very unprofessional and disappointing. There are people out there that will not take advantage of hard working people.Thanks
