BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: Hands down the worst haircut AND “barber” experience of my 38 years on this planet... if I could give 0-stars or even negative stars, I would. This place needs to be shut down. I don’t know where all these positive reviews came from, but my guess is they were either purchased, given by family members, or they belong to the previous (if applicable) business owner. I could have done this better on my own, and honestly I may just buzz my head the cut looks so bad.The HAIRCUT: I’m military, so my cuts are simple enough. Number 1 on the sides, leave one inch on top, fade it together. The lady took the sides down to the skin and gave me a bowl cut. She then proceeded to cut the top hair using ONLY THINNING SHEARS. No scissors. No buzzer with a number 8. THINNING SHEARS! I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, so I just sat there and watched as things got worse and worse. Total nightmare. When things were getting close to the end, a customer walked in, and abruptly she was somehow done. Just like that... I got handed a mirror, and had to strain to keep from grimacing as I saw the cut up close. I had her try to blend a few places together, but after a few minutes I just gave up. It was only making things worse. The EXPERIENCE: While I watched her wreck my hair for an entire hour, she was speaking a stream of consciousness thought process like nothing I’ve ever heard. Like a dentist that asks you questions when their hands are in your mouth, she gushed about whatever floated into her head... religion, politics, the tragedies of her life, etc. for nearly an hour straight further diluting her focus on a craft she obviously never learned in the first place. One nice, weird thing: Before sending me on my way she used an old handheld massage unit to massage my shoulders, chest, arms, and lower back. Weird for sure, but it helped with the enormous tension that had been building in my body over the previous hour.SUMMARY: The lady is a sweet old lady trying to make some money, but she is in over her head and is wrecking peoples hair. In hindsight, I would have given her $19.00 just to hear the truth, something along the lines of, “spare yourself, honey. I can’t cut hair to save my life, so get back to your google search and find someone else.”Thank god hair grows back...

Amazing haircut for $18. Quality of the cuts is on par with the higher end more pricey places. Definitely just found my new favorite place to get my cuts done.

It has taken me a good 25 years to find someone who can cut my hair like she does. Outstanding Haircut, every single time. I can style it very easily, both professionally or more casually and sporty depending on the day. I wont go anywhere else. She is extremely polite and respectful, very good prices, and overall a great experience.I recommend Rustic Hills Barber & Styling!
