This is the only place I will go to get my haircut. Mike does an exceptional job every time. Along with a quality haircut, he provides good conversation and great jokes. He always finishes with a straight razor around the ears and neckline, leaving you with a clean smooth look. Just know that he is cash only. Hes a master of his craft and in my opinion, the best barber in town.

Nelsons is a real barber shop where one can get a great haircut, hot lather shave, and plenty of barber shop jaw-jacking. The owner Mike is the one who cuts hair and he really cares about his work. Ive been going there for over five years and Ive always left with an amazing haircut that I was happy with, and usually made a new friend or two while I was there. Its hard to find shops anymore that do hot lather shaves with a straight edge razor and Mike does a fine job. Even if you dont want to pay the extra few bucks for a face shave, Mike finishes every trim with a hot lather neck and sideburns clean up...once again, something that you dont find in most of todays shops.Bottom line: If youre looking for a great haircut with some fun conversation and good music - hes a local musician - head over to Nelsons. You may even get to meet his dog if youre lucky.

Mike Nelson is an excellent barber who charges very fair prices. My wife says his haircuts are the best I have had.Mike has made this a very homey place. He tells fine stories and jokes. He has a very friendly group of customers. It is more than a haircut.

Mike Nelson is a great old school type barber. Damn good at what he does. Good conversation and hell of a personality. His other customers Ive interacted with have all been quality people and interesting to talk to as well. I always enjoy stopping in his shop for haircuts a a good time. I highly recommend him if anyone is looking for a REAL barber and not some haircut factory kind of place. True barbershop atmosphere.

Mike is a great barber. He has been cutting my hair for twenty plus years. He has a tendency to cut a little short. So ask for a meedium. One of the few guys left to use a razor. Great musician also. Can give you a really close shave.

Was in Colorado for a good few years. For the last 3 years I was there Mike was the only one to cut my hair. Does a really great job. Family friendly if kids were to be brought in for a haircut also.

Nobody else does as good a job as Mr. Mike on my boys heads. Been taking them to see him for about 8yrs now. Not only is he good with hair, but the true barbershop banter here is beyond educational. Weve learned alot about local / CO history, and my boys always walk out looking sharp! Absolute win every time.
