Honestly one of the highlights of my life. Being able to be in this facility was absolutely amazing. To know how many people have walked the halls, lifted, eaten and trained on the same mats was such an amazing feeling. Knowing full well Id never be able to compete for Team USA is was an honor to be able to attend the sessions I did. Truly humbling opportunity, one I will never forget.
Great place to learn how to ride the forklift. People are very friendly there and hands on with making sure your trained properly. They also stress safety on the lift so dont be scared to make a mistake they will make sure you know before you leave there.
Very cool experience to see where some of the Olympians train & live. We had an amazing tour guide that was very knowledgeable. I learned a lot. I appreciated the tour guides firsthand stories about seeing some of the Olympians like Michael Phelps on site over the years. We did the Bronze tour and it was comprehensive enough for us. Next time I will try one of the other tours to compare. It was inspiring! Beautiful facility.
Great tour. We did the Bronze tour with Payton. It was very informative and we got to see a lot the complex. We were able to go into the weight room, wresting gym, pool, basketball, gymnastics and shooting range. Everyone we encountered was very nice and we go to see athletes training for the 2020 Olympics.
We went on the bronze tour. It took about 2 hours, and we were able to see the conditioning space, rehabilitation center, pool, basketball court, wrestling and boxing rooms, and shooting range. I haven’t visited the OTC since early 2013 and I’m so impressed with how different the facilities are now! Amelia Moore was our tour guide and she facilitated an incredibly captivating, joyous, and entertaining tour full of fun facts and little stories. Highly recommend! ***Google maps took us to the employee and athlete entrance - the entrance for visitors is a left turn at the light before google will tell you to turn, if you are coming from Platte ave.
I absolutely loved visiting the training center today. As a student who wants to work with paraplegic athletes one day, I really appreciated the Gold tour I took with Payton. It’s a tour of all of the facilities, and a meal with some of the athletes! It’s a very immersive experience and totally worth the time.
If you like sports, America and the Olympics, this is the place for you. The admission is $17 for adults and around $10 for kids and is totally worth it. Its really fun to experience the place where some of the worlds greatest athletes train so that they can be the best of the best. The guides were really cool and informative the two times Ive gotten to visit. Its also really fun for little kids because they get to look around, explore the complex & look at the cool gadgets the Olympians use to train.
I took the standard tour on a Saturday morning. It was awesome. We were able to view some talented, aspiring Olympians preparing for the upcoming winter Olympics (bobsled pushers). Admittedly, the experience can be a bit cathartic, if you let it captivate you. I also really enjoy athletics and Olympic sport, so I could have a bias. Give it a shot. Its a small peek behind the scenes that allows you to see how these folks prepare to represent our nation in the Olympic games.
This is a phenomenal place if its not on your bucket list yet you should definitely make it a point to go there. Once these COVID restrictions are all lifted, there is so much to do, so much to see here very well kept facility, extremely friendly staff its well worth the visit!
No way I would recommend this hospital to anyone that wants to live
I love this place! I first visited in years ago and it was such a treat. To be able to see the grounds and watch the athletes. It was awesome. Back then the tours were free, and I wish they still were free. But I understand why they probably needed to charge. And it’s a unique experience that you only have one other place. Fun outing for locals and visitors alike!
CLOSED, 1 star until they update this to say they are not open and won’t be for the foreseeable future.
Olympians and Paralympians are amazing people with drive and commitment few others have. Its a great way to be patriotic and not political. Refreshing.
Interesting, interactive fun for all ages!
If you’re a fan of the Olympics, this is the place for you. The basic tour was great, mostly thanks to Taylor the tour guide. Super knowledgeable and had a lot of great trivia. The video is inspirational, and it was great to see the training facilities. Got to walk inside the basketball, gymnastics, wrestling, and boxing facilities, but only got to see the pool and the new training center from a glass window walkway made just for the tour groups. Great view, but would have loved to be in the actual space—especially the pool. The guy at the front desk was rude, but once you get past him, it’s a great experience!!
Went on the tour with my youth group and had an amazing time on the tour. The guide was informative and engaging and we even got to talk to a real Olympic wrestler who we met outside the athletes residences. To top it all off the group we were with rented out the actual gym. How about playing basketball on the same court Lebron, KD, and Curry practiced on. Awesome.I also picked up a fire shirt from the gift shop.💯🏀🤼♂️🇺🇸
I took the tour a little while back and it was amazing to see how all these athletes train. Kind of makes you wish you were a part of it.
We did the Silver Tour, which is smaller groups with more behind the scenes viewing. Our guide Peyton was excellent; he provided lots of good information and interesting facts. The tour is about 1.25 hrs and takes you inside the weight room, wresting area, boxing area, and gyms; as well as some of the training centers. You get to see some of the athletes in action. If you are in the area and like Olympics/athletes, I recommend it.
This is a magnificent facility full of hope & inspiration. Great staff that was very helpful, funny & knowledgeable about the campus. I got a chance to meet athletes from various sports who are medalists & current world champions !!! Despite their achievements, they were very helpful and extremely humble. I had a wonderful experience and recommend everyone to check it out if they are ever in the Springs.😁💪
Went there in the summer of 2019 with my team to train. Great staff and amazing facility.
Surrounding myself around Greatness!! This is where the best of the best in America Train, sleep and eat!! I still cant believe I was there. If you like sports this is a must visit place. Being able to stop and see mountains anytime looking to the west is sooo cool.
Great tour. Our family of seven did the silver tour and it was worth the money. Kasey did a fantastic job leading us thru the facilities, sharing info, answering questions, and letting us meet some of the Olympians.Amazing.
Great way to get an up close and personal view of how Olympians and top athletes work and live. Beautiful campus with free parking.
Tour groups are limited is sizes so its nice to have an almost one on one tour. Our tour guide was very informative and energetic. Great way to see where many of the Olympians train.
Great tour program! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and accommodating! Casey and Taylor were very helpful!
My son got Pneumonia & seizure during the 3 day of the 4 days Winter Waterpolo camp. We were blessed that Jen Gudmundsson from USA Water Polo took him to Urgent care and accompanied him most of time. She is very professional and updating us all the time with text and calls. My family are very thankful for her kindness. Jen, you are the best.
Great facility! My daughter has been swimming at the OTC through CSST for a year now. She loves being able to swim in such a high caliber facility. The athletes have always been kind and welcoming. She has grown in confidence with our experiences in the long course pool.
Great place to visit for any Olympics fan. The tour was very informative and Chris was a very entertaining and knowledgeable guide.
Today we took some friends visiting to the OTC. We chose the Bronze Tour. It was the lowest quality tour I have been on to date. It took about 30 min not including the video at the beginning, which was the best part. They changed our guide at the last minute to someone (can’t remember his name) who really just was there to use his badge to open locked doors. He didn’t have any information to provide and asked people practicing in each facility to provide information. Another member on the tour gave us all the information about the swimming portion of the tour. It was disappointing because we normally love taking people on the tour.Update - Staff from the OTC reached out to my group and offered to refund our tickets, give us a free Silver tour and train the guide we had so that this doesnt happen again. I am impressed by the action they took to make our poor experience right.
Visited the facility with my teenager daughters during their winter schedule (1 tour per hour starting at top of hour from 9-4pm). Easy parking on site, 5min from downtown, $15/pers, 1hr tour with a great guide.Highly recommending.
It was different than I anticipated . Expected more action or at the very least be able to watch athletes train. Swimming was the only sport to watch live action but you have to stand outside in the freezing cold and watch through glass. Tour was short and sweet. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and sweet. We went over Christmas break so Im sure thats why we didnt see more Olympians. Most of the tour is conducted outside. We went on a snowy, freezing day so be prepared for that. Recommend this tour for warmer temps! Kids enjoyed it!
This was a pleasant experience. Veronica Day was so great and knowledgeable about every aspect of this place. We did luck out today and was able to watch the qualifying volleyball teams Puerto Rico and Canada play for the Tokoyo games. Super fun time! I’m not posting a lot of pictures so you can enjoy it when you go. It was in depth about the training, the recovery and the games.
Just stopped by for ten minutes yesterday. Nice complex and grounds but some areas are currently under construction (July 2017). Decent restrooms. Trendy sportswear shop. Lots of tours available. Tour required to see the grounds. Probably wont go again.
This is a fantastic place to visit. You actually get to see current and future Olympians training. We met one of the gymnasts from the Rio games. Very friendly folks here, both the athletes and the tour guides. The tour is informative and fascinating. Id like to go back and do the upgraded tour that includes lunch in their training cafeteria. Awesome place!
We had a great time on our tour with our tour guide Taylor. He was very knowledgeable and personable. An interesting tour turned into an amazing one for us when USA Freestyle Wrestlng Head Coach Bill Zadick noticed our Husker gear and then asked Olympic Gold Medalist Jordan Burroughs (wrestled for Nebraska) to come out and meet us. Taylor was kind enough to hold up the tour for us and Jordan couldnt have been nicer. We cant thank all of them enough for going out of their way to make this an unforgettable experience for us!
Very neat! Great history! Came here on a school field trip with my kid and his class. The tour was informative and nice to see actual Olympians in training from all over the world!! The shop is nice, but of course some items were up there in price. My parents went on a tour when they came out to visit and the tour that they got was more elaborate and included more areas. That makes sense though. I can imagine its different when you have a large group of smaller kids versus a group of mainly adults.
Even if your not training for the Olympics to can still enjoy a tour of this place. The tours are great for kids, couples families & tourists alike. It is pretty high security & tours should be. Planned ahead. Beautiful area, lots to see, learn & watch. Definitely bring your camera!
Very nice experience where the tour is usually conducted by a resident athelete themselves. Enjoyed seeing the various facilities like swimming pool, the high altitude gym which can simulate conditions from sea level to 24,000 feet.
Tour was amazing, very knowledgeable staff. Walked around the entire place and seen lots of kool things. The guides are very professional and engaged the whole time and will answer questions about anything!
Our guide was very knowledgeable. We took the standard tour rather than VIP.It started with a 14 min video that had an overview of the center. Then, we toured the grounds, covering many of the gyms (boxing, shooting, wrestling). Before going, you might want to call and see if they know who will be training that day and when. They dont have an exact schedule, but they know what competitions will be there. For example, when we went, there was a wrestling camp and we got to see a few popular athletes.
Tours were canceled today check website to make sure they have resumed
Awesome tour given by Kasey. He was very informative and gave detailed answers to all of our questions! Can’t wait to go back with my family!
The tour was great and our tour guide was an actual active Olympic athlete who was previously training for the 2018 Olympic Games. We got to see a lot of the facilities but we couldn’t go on to the pool deck. It was only visible from a fogged up window. Anyways the experience was great but the pool thing really bummed me out.
Sweet staff and complex!
It was disappointing to return here and find out that there is no longer a free self-guided tour. Hardly anything to see in the visitor center but a gift shop. Sculpture garden is nice but small.
Had fun looking at pictures. there are no olympians in the building and it is more for paralympics than anything else. not that that would be a problem. but it is advertised differently.
I stayed here to train for a week. Everything about the place was great. Great food, friendly staff, and most of all, AMAZING facilities!
WOW. 110% more fun than I could have imagined. Super fun tour for kids and families. 14/10 gold medal
A must do item if youre visiting Colorado Springs. The guided tour was great, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and lots of cool things to see and history/info learned. Much better than I was expecting it to be. Would visit again with friends/family.
The main visitor center was under construction. A great complex with a lot of history, but nothing that stands out as a Wow factor unless youre into certain olympic fields. Our tour guide was monotone but he was knowledgeable. We were able to see the fencing, wrestling, and gymnastic areas as well as the pool and the living quarters. Cheap to tour if youre in the area.
Awesome place to see. A whole new look into the lives of athletes and what they endure to train. A great respect to them all. So glad I went.
This was an awesome experience. I absolutely love the Olympics so when I found out one of the Training Centers was in Colorado Springs, I said that I had to go. When I got there I found out that it was free to get in. They took you on a tour of the entire campus letting you see where the athletes train and live and eat and everything. This was a great attraction for families and was a very friendly environment with all of the staff and athletes. All of the tour guides were very knowledgeable which made it very interesting. I actually learned a lot about the Olympics overall and how things work for Team USA. I highly recommend it.
The tour is excellent, and the tour guides are supremely knowledgeable. The facility is beautiful. If you are at all interested in the Olympics and want something to do right in the springs this is a fantastic use of your time.
Very interesting tour packed with fun facts; highly recommended as a must do in Colorado springs.
Love this amazing facility. Everyone was so friendly. Can’t wait to come back here again soon!
Awesome tour, inspiring just to see where Team USA trains. We had 2 athletes as our tour guides! Great way to spend a couple of hours.
This is a great place for tourist. My fiancé and I really enjoyed the video before the tour. Our tour guide was very informative because she had trained there before.
Went to the mens gymnastics team rehearsal that was open to the public and took a tour of the facility. Very cool and had an awesome tour guide (a U.S. Bob Sled team member). Everything was great until I asked for directions from a staff member at the facility and got a smart ass remark that was totally uncalled for and unprofessional. Maybe he was tired of dealing with tourists, I dont know. But, a little more decorum wouldve been nice.
Went on the paid tour of the center, and it was very cool to see all the different training facilities. Our tour guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable and had some great facts. The tour lasted about 30 minutes and I left smarter than I was going in.
The guided tour starts with watching an introductory video followed by touring parts of the facility including training areas for shooting, wrestling, swimming, athlete residence, etc.. Our tour guide is very cheerful and informative. The tour lasts almost an hour and costs five bucks. Definitely worth a stop if you visit Colorado Springs.
Awesome to see this place where so many great athletes have passed through. The tour is fairly extensive and we got to observe many athletes in training (and we went during an off year). In particular we watched tge gymnasts and sharoahooters. A wonderful half day trip.
Great facility pretty much the most advance workout they even have a zero gravity tredmeal
Really cool experience, the tour is a must. Currently remodeling the team USA store and Visitors center. Will be spectacular when its done. They are still open now but many of the exhibits have been moved or are under construction. Might want to call ahead to see where they are at.
Great and fun experience. Had a blast on the recent tour. We even got to see some of them in action!
Awesome experience!! We (family of 5-kiddos in age 13 to 2) loved getting to see decorated athletes (some who had earned medals in Rio 2016), trainers and Olympic hopefuls in action! We really enjoyed getting to hear the fun facts about the Olympic sports, athletes, and the training facility. The tour guide was family friendly, informative and humorous. The tour was 45 mins so it provided lots of opportunities for the little ones to move around. Lots of great family photo opps! This is a must-do for anyone who enjoys facts, Olympic sports and guided tours. *This was listed as free on several sites, but it is not free. Well worth the small fee for a tour!
Respect these specimens folks. They represent this heavenly country. I take off my hat and place my hand on my heart with great pride. God bless the US.
Kept hoping someone would notice me. Say to the coach theyre walking with that guy, he looks physically fit, we could use a guy like that on our team. Nope, nothing. Just a security guard that said You cant be here..
It was more fun than expected! Great guide when I went years ago. It is closed to tours due to covid in July 2021.
Go during the week to see athletes training. The campus is amazing to see first hand. I would go back if I was ever in Colorado Springs again as it is a neat trip.
Was a little disappointed with this. The moneys going to a good cause, but the tour seemed a little light on interest. Didnt help that the intro video stopped working half-way through and we were sat staring at a blank screen for a few minutes as our guide had left the auditorium.
Really fun place to visit! I love the culture and experience you get going here
Great tour of the facility that are pumping out world class athletes. The tour is both inside and outdoors so go on warmer days or bring a coat. There is not much memorabilia if thats whats your expecting to see.
It was neat to see the different areas that the olympic training takes place. Some areas such as the pool you can only view through the glass. We toured on the 4th of July so many people were off and areas were closed however we still were able to see people training . Overall a good experience.
