They were kinda friendly to a point but the office lady was jumping the gun assuming everything we said that she couldnt hear over their music and fans running in the office was gonna be a fight and would get a bit confrontational towards us. Kinda unprofessional and overreactive. Of opinion it seems to be a predatory tow company.

Seriously couldnt be happier. They took away the stress of an already stressful car accident. They were on scene within about 30 minutes and everything was so easy. Pricing was about half of what I was quoted from another company. Very professional and courteous. 10 out of 10 would recommend again.

I called the companys office phone and requested a vehicle to be towed from fountain colorado to colorado springs area witch is approx 14 miles and the secretary stated that they were a couple of hours behind schedule but she would call me when in route to my vehicle . that was around 9:30 am . i said no problem and around 1pm i called to ask if I needed to be at drop off address because i needed to run a few errands she said no i told her i would like the vehicle to be dropped off in driveway . i hadnt heard anything from the company so at 5:00 pm closing time i called again to see if they were going to deliver it tonight or if i needed to take my business somewhere else she said no that there driver got called on a state trooper call and it took most of the afternoon.After hanging up i thought wow do they only have 1tow truck driver?Around 6:08 pm i was notified by a friend that they had just picked up my vehicle and was in route to drop off address . approx 6:45 pm he showed up with stereo loud as heck. He had windows rolled up and you could hear the county western song playing . lights shinning bright on truck . on our quite residential housing neghiborhood area .He pulled up and asked for the keys to our vehicle witch was already notified prior to picking up car that the ignition was locked and the key will not turn to start car or to unlock the sterinning wheel. He said he has had a situation that the vibration of the tow shifted the car and it might turn know . and if that was the case on our tow it. Would be alot easier for him to get our vehicle off flat bed truck .well it didnt work . so he countinued to get his truck situated in a position to unload our car in our drive way . if u want to call it that .He unloaded it sideways in our driveway very close to my husbands 1977 jeep wagoneer . and when we asked for a receipt of the 125.00 tow service he said we normally dont give receipts but i can hand write you one and so he did and i am sure it took him close to 7 mins to write one out for us. And it was freezing cold outside . then he proceeded to take 4 or 5 pictures of our vehicle in our driveway. I guess to summit the tow job to the company. To prove the tow was completed . and he stated how long he had been out working from 5am until 7pm by now.NEVER DID THE OFFICE COMMUNICATE WITH ME ABOUT THE DELAY IN MY REQUEST. un professional.And will NEVER use Checking towing company again .the driver couldnt even unload our vehicle straight in our driveway .so it would look normal in our quite residential area.

I guess they also try to run people off the road to get more business now - I had the right of way and the driver with a truck on the back and towing a car tried to run me into the wall - clearly the 2 cars he had were not enough? then he wanted to chase me down and throw threatening signs to me - this company clearly have no ethics. Scary!

What can I say. Awesome. We had a difficult situation and the staff at Checkers Towing really mad it better. My son had to ship his car home from Carson. We had numerous delays from car hauler not being allowed on base and the truck breaking down, my son had to leave and report to new base. The folks at Checkers understood picked up the.car, and assisted trucker when he arrived. Class act!

No one wants to have the misfortune of of having their vehicle impounded but it happens. The good about Checker Toeing is that they do a good job with the actual tow, my vehicle was very damaged and the tow didn’t cause further damage. The employees were pleasant enough and I didn’t feel like I was being mistreated in that way. The bad in my opinion outweighs the good. I called before I picked up my vehicle and asked how much it would be to tow my vehicle back and I was quoted just under $100. I’ll admit I didn’t ask about impound fees because there is no way they could be that much right? They really are. Upon picking my vehicle up 10 days after my accident I was owing them over 600 dollars. I shouldn’t have waited as long but I needed to get paid first. Charging over $30 a day for storage is a predatory tactic and they should be ashamed of themselves for adding that much more into what will already be an expensive ordeal for anyone who’s vehicle ends up here. I wouldn’t recommend using this service unless you have a lot of money burning a whole in your pocket.

They were quick to send a tow truck when my tire fell off the ball joint. Upon arrival the driver was very helpful and even with a missing tire they were still able to get my vehicle onto the truck. The staff on the phone and the driver were beyond helpful and had no problems getting my car off the street and to its destination.

They did a great job. Cindy was super polite on the phone, and Ron was very careful to make sure everything was done right when towing the vehicle. I would recommend Checker to anyone after this experience.

Had my tire fall off on old stage road driving home, what a headache. Called a tow company that referred me to checker towing, lady on the phone was not very polite and was asking for my credit card information long before the truck was even sent out??? Tow truck met me up on the road and was very helpful. Sort of rude but I would expect that out of somebody who was towing for a long while. Very fair pricing, to two my truck with out a wheel off the mountain was 75$ +2.50 per mile, ending up being 130$ not a bad deal.

I called at 815am and the dispatch lady was very friendly. the driver, Steven, was there by 845am. He explained everything he was doing and was very friendly. When we got to my house he worked really hard to get the truck on my half since i share the driveway with neighbor. The price was very fair and i would use them again!

Employees are extremely rude and treat people like they are illiterate...

Every employee I spoke to had something different to say about pricing about my vehicle that was there. If i could give 0 stars I would.They tell people its free to get belongings out of their vehicles, when thats NOT true.

Even for a tow company their very poor. tow companies already prey on your bad luck to make money but these people are also super rude and all around very poor service.

Was driving through Cheyenne Mountain and was stuck behind a Checker Tow truck for over 30 minutes. Driver refused to pull over and let me pass despite numerous areas on the dirt road built for that exact purpose. Completely unprofessional.

If you have to get tour car towed somewhere for an accident do not let them tow it here. Their customer service sucks. I am currently dealing with them and their employee or possibly owner Cindy is rude as can be. Didnt want to answer any of my questions and threatens the police on me even after all items were put back in the vehicle. On phone she says you can only recover baby stuff eye glasses medicationa and paperwork which is bull if you have paid their ridiculous fees. It took everything in my nature to not put her in her place. There is no reason to be so disrespectful to a customer that is just trying to talk to you. She acted like because shes the only person there that she couldnt be bothered to help me. I bet shes the owner because I have read through more reviews and other people have mentioned her name. Even my room mate has had her car towed here and said the same thing, that the women Cindy was rude as can be. If I could give 0 stars for her shady appearance and customer servicr I would.

Was driving with my ten year old daughter when the driver of the checker towing company aggressively cut me off then flipped me off with my young child in the car as we drove by again he continued to give me the finger knowing I had a young child in the car. Tried to call the company no answer will continue to try an call but considering the other reviews sounds like I wont get very far I wldnt use these people very unprofessional

One of your racist employees was doing business at my place of residence. As I got in MY vehicle in no way interrupting him, mumbles disrespectful slurs at me and then as I shout out, GOD BLESS YOU! My SIL was in a rollover accident on Carson, they were the ones called to tow his car. This place has shady and rude staff and the cost to get his car was beyond ridiculous. $425 to tow a car....seriously!$120 tow fee$100 investigation wait fee(because the MPs were atill investigating the crash when they arrived)$120 for labor(pretty sure thats supposed to be included in the tow fee)$60 for storage($30 a day, they had the car from about 3:30pm Tuesday to 1:30pm Wednesday so less than a full day)$25 for mileageWe got there and paid their outrageous fees and asked to get some things out of the car before we had it taken over to the pick and pull place. She acted all shady saying all he could get out was his personal belongings like his glasses and backpack with his laptop, then changed her mind and allowed him to take other possessions like clothes and such, but refused to let him take his amp and speakers out saying their insurance didnt cover that.When to tow truck driver for the pick and pull place got there, even he stated he had never heard of anything like that and expressed how she hovered while he was loading up the car like he was going to load up other cars and drive off.She acted friendly, but with a snotty and shady undertone.I will never use their service, not that we were given the choice, and I will tell everyone I know to avoid their shady overpriced service as well.Juat because youre the oldest tow company in the springs, doesnt make you the best. Check your attitude and learn some customer service skills.

These ppl took my vehicle and said they didnt have it. Two and a half weeks later i find out that they have it and is almost $600 to get it back. Every time i try and call voicemail isnt set up or full. I am seeking legal representative so i am compensated for everything we lost.

Very rude. Charged me for money when no have spoken to them over the phone and they said I would be able to pick up my belongings with NO PAYMENT. But like most companies like this, that just keep taking and taking screwing over the people they claim that want to serve.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with any customer service. The employee Cindy (an older, worn out lady with bleach blonde hair) was immediately disrespectual and definitely had a power issue. She had no patience in explaining how this company was ran or how she was going to handle me, then told me she didnt have to explain herself... which is everything that goes against customer service. If your car is in somebodys possession, you would definitely want to feel like you can trust them... or at least have a decent conversation with them. I would never recommend getting your car towed by this company. The older man inside didnt even try to help the situation. You will leave feel nothing but disappointment and frustration.

Not only were they the most affordable but they moved my van within the hour. they were very friendly and respectful of my property.

Had vehicle towed by them on a Sunday and called to pick up on that Sunday. Was told by the lady who answered the phone that they were not open on Sunday and I would have to call back Monday to find out how much to get my vehicle out of the lot. Called at 2:25 P.M. Monday to to find out how much it would be to pick up my car and was told that they would be closing in 20 minutes and I would not be able to pick up the vehicle untile the next day. And that I would be paying the additional fee to store the vehicle at the lot until the next day. What business that charges you to store your vehicle closes at 3pm on a weeday? I work from until 5 but had arranged to get off early to get my car. Also when pressed further for the charges she could not find the file and told me to call back tomorrrow. Dont recommend. Bad business

Had my JEEP brake down on the east side of town and towed to the west side. Price was near best in town Very punctual and professional.

Do not use this company. The receptionist was rude and made up lies just to get out of work. They would not except my insurance or AAAs to cover the bill.

Car broke down on trip out of town back in October. Called Mike Shaw Buick GMC to get the repair done. I was told that Checker Towing was the service they used. I called them to have them pick up my vehicle since they were the only ones who could do night drop offs at Mike Shaw. I ended up waiting 2+ hours with my car (within city limits) because I was never informed that the pickup was being delayed by a so-called busy schedule. I had to call them after 30 minutes (where I was assured it would be soon), and then after each 30 minute interval to actually get an update. Never any kind of apology or anything, just a oh, well weve been having a busy night by the second person to deal with my ticket. Im pretty sure the operator I spoke with originally had even gotten off of work and on her way home, likely forgetting that she hadnt handled her job properly.No offer was made to make up for the unexcusable wait (I would not have waited with my car had I known the wait time was so large) and I just recieved a call today (December 9th) about how Mike Shaw never charged me for it. Thankfully my insurance will cover it, but I fully intend to push my car to the repair shop if they are my last option.

They are despicable people i got in a car accident and it was towed by them i sat with cop till tow was pulling up when i went to collect my belongings at another to yard the insurance took it to they stole my amp all my tools then told me the cop said i collected them at the accident all in all they stole about $1200 from my truck also tried to get money and my title to even see my truck even though it now belong to the insurance company
