I finally got connected to a representative, when I was put on hold again and then hung up on. I stayed calm and went through the entire process again and was connected to a new representative and then transferred to an agent who was specialized in Mac computers. I was put on hold and then hung up on again.
They were wonderful fixed my computer with in 24 hours. Thank you
I left my iphone there for a battery replacement but the home button did not work after that and they refused to be responsible for the damage.I left my phone there last Sunday at 12 pm for the battery replacement. When I went there to pick it up at 4 pm, they told me that the battery was replaced but the home button did not work after assembling it back and they would fix it for me because the button was working before the battery replacement. And yesterday, I went to best buy at 6pm to pick it up. They changed the tone and told me they would not fix it because there was liquid damage inside. However, the button was working perfectly and the service I requested is just battery replacement.If there was any damage inside before the battery replacement ( and I doubt), why didnt they let me know at the first place? why didnt they find it out before the battery replacement? how come they didnt notice that until they finish everything? and why did they told me they would fix it and then refused to be responsible for it?I am reaching out to Best Buy to see what Best Buy can do. Geek Squad is certainly not good. They should not use Geek.
Brought my laptop in because the battery was drawing too much power so it short circuited itself to prevent damage (I now know this is common and can often be fixed by holding the power button for 10 seconds or pushing the battery reset pin hole on the back).However, I was told there was no way it was my battery and that my motherboard was damaged. They immediately jumped to saying my computer needed to be completely wiped, and that it would take 8 weeks.The geek squad members are not knowledgeable, and do not know how to run simple diagnosis tests to find a potential cause. They simply jump to the worst case scenario out of a lack of understanding of electronics.Do not go here. Agent Kyle is terribly uneducated for this job. Sad since he’s an Aggie grad.
After an amazing experience with the online Geek Squad, I was encouraged to set up an appointment with the Best Buy in College Station, Texas because of a touch pad issue. I took the computer in with a small dent to one lower corner and that was noted in the notes upon check in. The repair took less than 48 hours which was awesome. HOWEVER, when I went to pick up my computer, it had received extensive damage to the framing and the screen (See PICS). The screen has now has a small crack in the top right corner, fading in the pixels and is separating from the main frame. The Geek Squad Supervisor and the General Store manager both told me that there was no way to know that the damage was done by their squad rather than by me because the vague notes taken by the tech simply said damage to corner of computer from drop. When asked how they would make it right, the general manager said, I have the ability to give away the entire store if I wanted. I have that kind of power, but I am not going to do anything in this situation. The GS supervisor said that as a small business owner, I should always have a back-up- computer. As a photographer, this computer is directly tied to my income. I am extremely disappointed and now will have to wait 2-4 weeks for my computer to be shipped off and repaired. Thankfully, I have the warranty because they have made it very clear that they will assume zero responsibility.
Was told elsewhere that my laptop would need new parts and that the labor fee would be over $100, and that they couldnt get to it for a week. Took it to the Geek Squad and they gave it a once-over, told me nothing was broken and they just needed to clean out some dust blocking my fan. Totally free and only took 20 minutes. Highly recommend these guys!
Just took my laptop in for a repair found out that they will charge me $85 for the privilege of having it shipped to another location where they will then be able to give me a quote about how much my laptop will cost which will take about 4 to 8 weeks before they can get it back to me. Just so you can compare your situation to mine my laptop has a cracked casing and the casing would have to be replaced and thats the repair that will take 4 to 8 weeks apparently.If you have a laptop with any replacement needed dont come to the store.

I was told that the back glass on my iPhone 11 Pro could be replaced because of broken camera lens... 4 days later I come to find out that I had to get a whole new iPhone, on top of that they tried to get me to pay 40 dollars to have my data transferred over to the new phone, also they just pulled the sim card out of the old phone and put it in the new one without actually activating the cellular. Im very displeased with how they handled this situation and will never be returning to Geek Squad again.
Do not deal with Andrew Olson the consultant for tv installations. He is a liar and once he gets his money he will place you on the back burner. I wish I had never dealt with the Geek Squad
They’re great at fixing problems.
Ive had to come in an embarrassing 3 times over the past 5 years. Every single time the employees tried to make sure I was being as cost-effective as possible. One of the problems was so easily solved the employee decided to not charge me, the second time the employee suggested I buy an open box laptop in the meantime to try out in case my laptop was going to still be moody after repairs and I could simply return it if my laptop turned out fine. (Probably not technically allowed advice but SO appreciated nonethelesd). Today the employee who helped me was all smiles even though they were clearly incredibly busy. I realized I just need to go ahead and buy the yearly service plan since theyve been so beyond helpful everytime Ive visited so I did.
I was on hold for over 45 minutes asking why my brand new TV was showing streaks when I played my switch. When they finally answered they said “that’s normal. It’s the switch not the TV.” A few day’s later it’s getting worse and I call Samsung and they tell me all these settings to change on the switch to make it compatible with the TV and help me with the updates and other settings.
I had a good experience with these guys. They seem to know what theyre doing, actually taking the time to repair your problems, rather than just wiping your hard drive and calling it good. They tend to be busy, so make sure you have a good half hour set aside to get signed in and drop off your computer. I was able to pick up my computer completely fixed in about 4 business days. No idea if thats a typical wait, but with all the people I saw ahead of me in line, Ill bet thats about normal.
They are great salesmen and will try and take advantage of your questions. They are usually knowledgeable but are forced to sell you junk you dont need.
I took my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 tablet to the Best Buy Geek Squad for help with a problem I was having.When I would enter my pin number it would not open. It would just return to the pin number over and over. I could not even shut it off.I made an appointment with the Geek Squad and the service representative was able to successfully able to turn it off and back on. Then she was able to enter my pin number and it came to life.This was a very Happy experience for me and I would return with any product that I own if need be. I will also recommend them to anyone needing help with a problem or in need of repairs.This was a very easy and good experience for me and I am very appreciative of the Geek Squad
They are not equipped to do a simple drive installation on a laptop.

I have a custom built PC but got a virus I could not get off for the life of me . I took it in for them to simply wipe the dam thing. Wow couldnt of done that myself! Whatever fine, I had to wait awhile ...forever to reinstall everything but turns out they broke something else ! My microphone port will not work anymore . Good job Geek squad! You did something a 12 year old could fix and caused more problems on my, not cheap, PC.
Bought a television from Best it with warranty. Geek squad has been to the house twice and attempted to say it was a broadcasting issue. Now someone will have to miss work again so that they can order another part that they think may be the issue. Im convinced they dont know what the issue is.
I have called at least 20 times since Tuesday, all during store hours, and have yet to have anyone answer the phone.
Quick response to my issue and was assisted by a very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate member of the Geek Squad ! I have been assisted by them on 3 different occasions and highly recommend them !
Conveniently dont warn you the warranty doesnt cover data recovery, then charge $150 for it, then cant even replace the computer with a new one they give you a refurbished. They are snakes and cheap.
