There were no issues upon arrival. Everything went smooth…but TSA were a little rude and didn’t want to do their job. They kept yelling for us to stack the pans up for the next people but I thought that was their job. Also the maze type entry prior to reaching TSA was a little irritating. You’re literally going around and around and around about 5-6 times before you can even reach the line to get to TSA. Hopefully that’s just there due to COVID otherwise I’d be frustrated having to go through that again.
Process to get to the rental car space is rather easy just follow everyone else 😂😂😂..no but seriously the signs arw rather in front of u and the Sky train will confirm every stop it makes so you wont feel overwhelmed. Just focus on where youre going and itll be a breezy path
Got in the car even though it was not what I wanted walked around the car it was okay not prestige the seats are a mess covered with stains the car has some weird burning smell and I pulled down the cup holder absolutely disgusted. Tried to call their 800 number .... doesn’t work of course and no refunds and I’ve only had the car for four hours out of the four days I’m renting it for! DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT RENT FROM THEM AT ALL! I’m currently having to pay 900$ for a filthy car and clean it out myself! It’s a disgrace ! I really wish I could put the pictures up for you all. Please beware !
After booking a car with Hertz as part of a travel package deal, I arrive at the rental car center and was unable to pick up the car because I did not have a major credit card. My reservation was canceled. I spent another hour on the phone with travelocity trying to get refunded for the car. Out of all of the rental car companies, only a few accepted debit cards. I had to spend $600 more dollars for a car. The Hertz manager was unable to assist me. I did read on the confirmation bring credit card and ID. But I assumed debt would also be accepted. After spending an entire year paying off credit cards, I planned on not having anymore. I guess thats not going to be the case. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I have been home a few days and still havent received my deposit back. Hopefully itll be reduced soon. While on my trip, I was very nervous while driving the car because all of the hidden fees associated with booking on a traveling site.
I rent from Enterprise almost weekly. I love the customer service and vehicle selection. Enterprise always treats me right. Does not matter which location I rent from its a easy breezy transaction. Upgraded often and never had a bad experience. I cant say the same thing about the other car rental companies. But in my opinion? Based on a lot of traveling. Enterprise is the best hands down. Their mobile app works great and keeps track of my points, easy to use and not to bulky. I just love the fast check in and go pick a car .
This place is the Worst! I was told one price then another got the car it stunk like weed it was serverly damaged and they kept my 500 dollar deposit reached out every 2 weeks up until now no response and back and forth since November its the worst
Busy but good friendly service. I left my keys in the car attached to the rental key chain. I pray I can get them back.
Took us the back of the rental center, no entry.
The sky train is a efficient connection to the rental car center. But when you are at the baggage claim you might not easily see where to go to. But friendly airport staff was useful. The rental car center itself was clean and spacious. On Dec 24th that was also necessary since 40 people were waiting at AVIA. Maybe Priceline and AVIA overbooked a bit. But it took 1 hour to get the car.People willing to take a pickup truck instead could go ahead while people looking for a sedan needed to wait till cares came in (maybe the carwash was not staffed enough). BUT the employees at the counter were super friendly and quick. And every customer in a friendly Christmas mood, too. So there was no trouble. Merry Christmas!
The signs are well placed and easy to follow. When I pulled into the garage, I was immediately greeted by an attendant. The service was prompt and accurate. I asked which way to the terminal and got clear directions. The location is convenient and close to the airport. Overall, pleasant experience.
Just a good place to run a car Budget car is really good they seemed you want to work with the American people where the others dont seem to want to good service
Great place to rent a car
I am still in line, been waiting for over 11/2 😒
Very helpful people
I love how effortless this process is!! Once your reservation is confirmed you make your way to your car selection then youre done. The car return process is just as easy. An agent is waiting to assist. You hand them the keys. They will close out your reservation.
Rented a VW SUV from SIXT.. Great service in and out.. There was a small ding on the passenger of the vehicle already which we I took a pict of before leaving the parking lot. Even ask the rep for a pre check and he said go ahead.
Sixt is the best. Customer service is on point and they have you in and out in 5-10min! Vehicle of choice was available and came with bells and whistles that I hadnt even asked for. You can even link your rewards cards to your profile to receive double incentives (I linked my AMEX Delta Platinum Sky Miles account).Sixt is now my first choice going forward.
All the rental car companies are together, and thats easy. However, the facility is confusing inside and out, and the traffic pattern is also weird.
The directions were inaccurate! Took me somewhere totally different. I was to drive to the airport and follow their signage
I would not trust these people. Arrived from abroad, paid $ 450 via card and $ 200 cash (was supposed to be refundable), have all the paperwork, when i took the car back they denied me the $200 refund. due to me having to jump on a flight back to South Africa and not having time to argue, i had to leave the $200. I am trying to look for a contact email for Airport Rent a Car of Atlanta but the website is non existent.
Bad idea to come here.
I love them theyre very good at what they do🤑🤑🤑 My personal favorite one to go to is Northlake theyre the best got great staff and great cars too... Check them out
I used ACE rental car services a week ago. Serious company. Great service. Easy to pick-up and go. No hidden fees. Definitely, I would rent again with this company.
This place is laid out and marked so well that even a first time user has no trouble navigating pick up and return. Well done!
I returned my car and was over charged by $145.00. Then there are no attendants on the inside just in the preferred area with only two associates. This is crazy!
My experience was excellent. Even though when I arrived my name was not on the board all I had to do was check the email that was sent to my phone with my stall number. The staff was very friendly upon pick up as well. Keep you the good work. You know how to make Gold Members feel welcome!
There you go, needing people switch my car at the last moment. Very helpful with directions. Keep up the great work
Check the car very well, damage are not in récord, they hide the damages and when you return the car they blame you, just be careful.
Not very difficult, made my reservation, checked in and did a bit of paper work signing and I was on my way!
Easy and convenient! Off the plane, take a quick train ride (free) and you are a short walk to your car.
I am a long time Hertz Gold member. I recently reserved a car for my wife on my Hertz gold account. I prepaid to make the experience as painless as possible for her. The agent in Atlanta first told her there was no reservation, when presented with a confirmation e-mail, he admitted that there was indeed a reservation, but it was with Hertz Gold and she could not use it. He offered to rent her another car. I had prepaid for an upgrade car but the agent insisted that they were out of that car? When pressed he contacted a manager who got my wife in the car we had original paid for. So kudos for working it out after an hour wasted. The whole point was to let my wife experience the seamless Hertz experience and enjoy her weekend trip. She would have been better off if I would have let her fend for herself... Thanks for making me the JERK!
I rented from Enterprise and the drop off was smooth. I pulled up and got out. A man checked the gas and did a brief walk around. That was it. I was off to my flight on time
Highly disappointed👎🏽No one answers the phone, when going into the office its always crowed...customer service is very unprofessional
We rented from Hertz. Its a long train ride to and from the terminal to the rental center. A word of caution to pay attention to signage. You will be returning to the car rental center. The car return center is not the airport. If you go to the airport it can be confusing to get back to the car rental center. Also, not many gas stations near the airport or car rental center.
Got an upgraded free by just asking for a bigger vehicle to carry my Moms things and the rental associate understood and helped out a lot... Thanks Alamo
I rented a car from Hertz at the rent car center at the Hartfield-Jackson International Airport. Never again. When I received the car, everything was flawless, went perfectly. However, when I went to return the car (at approximately 5:00 A.M. in the morning), there were no attendants available to check the car back in. Not as in they were busy with others, there just plain werent any there nor were there any in the booths at the head of the parking garage. I went inside and told the counter person, she stated shed take care of it and muttered under her breathe not again. I was left standing at the counter, I provided her the keys and the rental contract as well as describing the car and where it was parked. she came back 10 minutes later and stated she was unable to find the car with the (now present) attendants. So, she handed me back the keys and the rental contract and requested that I go back down stairs to find the car and that the attendants were now down there. So back down stairs and to the far end of the lot I go. When I get there, there are now three attendants there, one immediately says to me that she has been down there the whole time and the she saw me pull in and walk around the vehicle and then saw me go upstairs but that she didnt approach me because she wasnt sure what I was doing....? She then wanted to argue over the color of the vehicle I gave to the agent at the counter (I told it was silver, in the light of the garage, it looked golden/champagne). Mind you, the counter agent HAD THE RENTAL CONTRACT IN HER HAND WITH A FULL DESCRIPTION OF THE VEHICLE, ITS VIN, AND ITS LICENSE PLATE! She also had a full description of where it was parked. Another attendant walked over and immediately started in as well, backing the other attendant. The Hertz attendants finally got their act together and got the car received back in and sent me on my way.....
Give yourself extra 15 min to go and to the terminal but overall the service at Hertz at the Atlanta airport has been great. Overall picking up and dropping off the car is fast. There have been a couple of cases where my name didnt show up on the Gold member screen for some reason.
Love the car selection at national there however I do wish they had a closer better option too
I prefer Alamo... I can choose the car I want and Im not designated whatever they want to give me...
Come and get all you need
I have rented a car from Hertz plenty of times; Im actually a Hertz #1 Gold Member. When I arrived at the Hertz lot, my name was listed on the rental board BUT MY CAR WASNT READY! I asked one of the attendants where my rental was and he just haphazardly TOLD me to go the counter; thats exactly what I wanted to avoid. Then the attendant said ...the cars along this line are available so I just picked the best one.Hertz, Im so disappointed in your service that Ive actually opened an account with another Car Rental company. I rent from Hertz because of the service I USE to receive.
Not a good initial experience but Mgr later made it better
Easy Rental Process and great prices for top quality cars
Actual facility is OK. But did business with Avis at the Atlanta Airport and it was the worst experience from beginning to end.... And still not the end because I havent been able to get refunded for them double charging me. Never again renting from Avis.
Please note all the bad reviews for this company are actually not for airport rent a car of Atlanta . They are for Hertz or advantage or other companies. We have been trying to get Google to take these unfounded and incorrect reviews down but have been unable to do so. If you read the actual companies reviews you will find that most of our customers love our service and prices. We go out of our way to help all customers to have a pleasant experience with us.
First time Alamo user. I was suspicious of a brand unknown to me/ Canadians + competitive pricing. Check in and check out was a breeze. Car was spanking. Strongly recommend.
I tried renting a car here today. I wasn’t told anything about a deposit until after I arrived in Atlanta. I didn’t have enough on my debit card to cover it so I asked if I could pay part in cash and the woman said no we can’t do that,so I was stranded in Atlanta for 3 hours waiting on someone to pick me up. Very poor customer service
I arrived very late in the evening at the Atlanta Airport Hertz Rental Center and needed to find the shuttle to a hotel in the Atlanta airport area. I explained my problem to the Hertz representative who checked my rental back into the return area. Since it was so late and rather unsafe to be left alone waiting for a shuttle to arrive, Robert, the representative provided Hertz shuttle service to my hotel. That was amazing service. Robert should be commended for going beyond expectations! He demonstrated that Hertz will not let you down.
Large selection of vehicles if you looking for good pricing go to Payless
Great service at the Alamo rents a car, great selection, easy in & out. So seamless. Makes traveling smooth without the hassle.
Staff was great and car was nice and clean. No problems or issues at all. I would rent again.
Very accommodating. Good service
Very quick and convenient, though be aware you have to take a train to get there!
Very efficient and easy to use!
Always a beautiful experience for myself excellent customer service
Gold 5 Star Member and rent a LOT of vehicles. I like the attempt Hertz gives with the technlogy, emailing vehicle location, type of vehicles, etc when I land, but rarely is it right. 100% of the time I am offered an upgrade for a small fee, however, 90% of the time I cannot do it on line because of various errors I receive. The last thing I want to do is wait at the counter. A loss of revenue. Additionally, the doors were locked in the vehicle. Realized the hard way, if you close the doors with other than a slight force, the doors will lock. When I returned the vehicle and explained the problem, the response was it happens all the time with this vehicle. OK, nice to know after the fact. I have also noticed the vehicles are getting older. The vehicle I had should have been put out to pasture long time ago from a rental. Hard driven miles comes to mind. Not the worse rental experience, but have noticed a gradual decline in service, vehicle quality while prices are going higher.
The escalators were built totally wrong and confusing. If you come down from the train to the second floor, good luck figuring how to get to the first floor without using the elevator(which is packed always bc of people with bags and babies, which makes sense because theyre traveling). Oh and then they have the audacity to have the escalators shut down bc theyre broken?! Hello busiest airport in the world, get it together! And this is a huge beef bc today was just ridiculous, for any car rental service that has a contract to operate here, they must be required to alert travelers if they are OUT OF CARS! What kind of bull is that anyway! I have a reservation/confirmation but you have no cars?!? Payless Car Rental! The reason the airport should regulate this is because this cause more human congestion due to people not being able to leave, more confusion and frustration than that which already comes with traveling and it causes loads of other issues that this airport/city does not need to be known for!
Value and service number 1
Left Enterprise in less than 15 min. When returning,.. the signage could be better.
Enterprise has the car rental down to a science. Easy in and out. Fantastic attitude by all employees I met.
Ease of use was great. Lack of bathrooms not so much
Quick and easy nothing but Alamo rentals for me!
Im a Gold Member. Took car at Atlanta airport and they allowed me to return it at Downtown. I booked a compact and they game me an upgrade, Camry. They are super nice both at the Airport and Downtown locations. Hertz is the way to go!
I am a Gold Member. When I arrived at the Hertz Office, my name was not listed on the rental board. I went inside, talked to the attendant, and then had to wait several minutes while he found my reservation. After finally getting a vehicle, I left the Hertz Lot. A few miles later a maintenance warning light came. I stopped to check the owners manual, only to find there wasnt any.Hertz can do better.
It takes forever to reach the place from airport. It’s a long walk but the place is organized well. Various rental agencies at the same place. Easy to rent and drive away.
Just get a rental car from anywhere out of the airport or near the airport to save at least 30%.
Expeditious counter service. Key & car pickup was simple, and airport exit perfect.
Offer price does not equal final price
I am not typically fond of flying through Hartsfield-Jackson airport. This is partially due to a few notable unpleasant experiences including massive waits at security check points and the teams of detached/apathetic airport staff. This seems to be the case with the rental car people as well. Im not sure if its owing to the drudgery and monotonous nature of counter work there, but the indifference is quite evident. You would think that they all hated their jobs, maybe even their lives.I cant remember anyone actually smiling or giving a halfway effortful greeting; the transactions are typically cold, short, and matter of fact. But other than the attitude of the employees, the rest of the process of getting the car actually goes very smoothly. There is a tram from the main terminal to the rental car center that runs about every 4 to 6 minutes. The rental car center has three floors of rental agencies that is attached next to a massive garage containing thousands of cars. After being assigned the car at the desk there is a short walk to the garage to pick out a car, exit through rental car security and then you are on the way. From the line to driving away normally takes about 15-20 minutes, although this is typically in the late evening when I traveled (less busy times).Ive never had a problem with car selection and I booked nearly all my reservations through third party sites such as Expedia or Priceline. So, no complaints about the efficiency. I just wish that the staff were more personable and friendly.
Easy and fast service. The car we rented had bird feces on the hood and top and was not vacuumed.
When arriving on an international flight you should take a shuttle from the terminal to the Car center. The shuttle is waiting right outside of the terminal.
Our experience was horrendous. Our flight arrived late. When we got to the rental building outside the airport Hertz was the only rental company with a huge line. Despite the crowd they had 4 SLOW workers processing people. My wife and I split up with one person in the line and one person at the fast kiosks. The wait was still close to an hour. When I got a person on the kiosk she informed me they were backed up as the kiosk takes care of the entire US. She then proceeded to upgrade my car for only $25. I told her I had prepaid my car and I just wanted a car to get out as I was so frustrated. Later I found out that $25 was actually per day and did not include additional fees/taxes. Standing in line I had heard other people complaining of their rates changing. The only good thing was we got a car and I got to leave. I will not go back to this Hertz and the service has made me seriously consider never using Hertz again. They are more expensive but do not provide the extra services to justify their expense. Extremely poor.
As an employee of AIRPORT RENT A CAR of ATLANTA customer service is our number one priority and we take this matter very seriously. We have been in business since 1999 and our growth has been due to our staff friendliness and our repeat customers recommendations.
Took forever to get our reserved car and get out of there. We were directed to use a remote kiosk and video chat with a very pushy salesman trying to upsell us on anything he could think of. He was sure our luggage wouldnt fit and we would need to upgrade. We declined. Our luggage did fit. Then the insurance, then buying the fuel in the tank so we could bring it back empty.....as if I can time it just right to bring it back empty. Ya know, we charge about 10 bucks a gallon! I declined and I filled it up before returning it. Lots of pressure about the insurance. Youll be on the hook for your deductible if it gets wrecked! that could be THOUSANDS! We declined. What a hassle.
Accesible, plenty of options, reserve additional time if you are rushing... you need to take a train to connect with airport
Well connected to domestic airport via sky train, a lot if options for cars, multiple rentals to compare and choose, very big dedicated area for rentals, multiple window hence no rush, restroom, restaurant facilities available.
Its a huge facility with access by the train from the airport. Its really easy to get in and out of.
Super long wait for Sixt car rental. Waited over 30 minutes in line. However the guy at the counter was super nice. Will rent from Sixt again.
Trains on time easy to find your way
Always friendly, well prepared and professional. They open at 6am and close at 10pm
There are plenty rental companies, make sure you try a good one. Believe me or not, dont use ACE-rent a car. They ruined the image of the city. It would be better if there is a manager in charge of whole, who we can talk to if there is injustice.
Reserved a car for pick up Thanksgiving day. I reserved at least a week early but there weren’t available cars when I arrived. Many people waiting and I was told some had been waiting for four hours. Older couple and a family with young kids as well as a group of foreigner were there waiting. Only one customer representative was behind the counter (all others appeared to be hiding and who can blame them). I finally found one and asked for some contact information of a manager. I was given a card with an email address but no name nor phone number. I saw many people come in to the line and they were told there were no cars available by the other customers, not by Alamo employees. I emailed and got a response the next morning only saying that there were still no cars available. I finally got a car around 4:pm the next afternoon. Way overbooked. I had a place to stay in Atlanta but many weren’t so lucky. Yikes!!!
Great! super quick, I was in and out.
Bring patience, busy but efficient
Experienced smooth and expeditious car pick up and return at ATL, and car was in good quality. I feel I can depend on Hertz for my rental needs.
They handle our experience very well and were welcoming and helpful about us returning the car swiftly
The lady at counter should explain that you only get one swipe on your card. If it doesnt go through then you dont get to use that same card untill 24hr. They should have the workers verbally say contract out loud because people who travel are in a rush and dont have time to read a contracts before signing.
Have had nothing but great experience renting from Hertz at the ATL Hartsfield Airport. When I get to the Gold members entrance my name is generally always on the board - only once wasnt, but no big deal. This past time I rented, I was given a beautiful Cadillac SUV. Great experience.
Super easy! I was in and out without any problems.
HERTZ ATL needs improvement.2 times I have rented cars here and both times I have waited in a very long line for 30+ minutes for a car. I have no idea how Hertz allows this. I am a presidents circle member and expect my car to be ready when I land. Im sure all the other gold members in line with me expect the same. -- Upon reading other reviews, I see this is the norm in Atlanta. Hertz needs to fix this.
This place is about as well set up as it can be for how big the airport is.
I always rent with Alamo they always have great service and newer model cars
The cars at this location are always dirty and banged up. But easy in easy out.
I love, love, love hertz, Im always bragging about deals being a GOLD member! If I have a problem, I let them know and its handled quickly...Top Quality
Good price, good car and nice service
Always show me love.
Even though I asked for and was told I was as getting unlimited mileage, thats not how they drew up the contract, so I was charged for Mileage overage and was not compensated for this mistake. Then on top of that they charged me the hold amount days after the release. Setting my bank in negative status. The car had nothing but problems and not one time was any of these issues resolved. I dont recommend this company to anyone. Stick to the big names.
Efficiency outstanding! Used Enterprise.
