I visited countless jewelry stores to find the perfect engagement ring and it was honestly one of the most stressful and overwhelming tasks, especially for a guy to do alone. I came across Dickens Jewelers based on all the positive reviews online and decided to check them out. This is a family owned business located in a very quaint town, and Victor walked me through everything I needed to know to make an informed decision. He walked me through the 4Cs: Cut, Clarity, Color, Carat - and showed me the difference under the microscope vs the naked eye. This was a very important chapter in my life and Victor and his wife treated me like a son rather than just another customer. After picking out the center stone we were able to design a custom ring using their software and computer right there in the store. Victor and his wife treated me like family. They called me by name and made sure they took care of any corrections I needed to make with the ring. I felt so comfortable working with Victor that I even purchased our wedding bands from him, which he personally engraved a secret message from my wife to me inside my ring. You truly get a personalized experience working with Dickens Jewelers and I highly recommend the service and expertise that they bring.

I was looking to get my dad’s Rolex serviced for his 50th birthday and every other location I went to told me it would take at least 5 weeks because they had to send it out. I was so happy when I found Dicken’s Jewelers because Victor was able to do the service in-house in 1 week. I was able to get it back in time to give it to my dad on his birthday. While I was in there I also had them fix a pearl necklace that I haven’t been able to wear it years. They were extremely knowledgeable and did a beautiful job! We have been going to Dickens Lane Jewelers for a few years now to get my wife’s jewelry repaired. On one visit I asked Victor if he could replace my watch band for a 20 year old watch. He looked at the watch and said I can refurbish this watch to look like new. The watch was in very bad condition, but since it has sentimental value I agree to. The result was just amazing, the watch did look brand new. Victor is a true craftsman on watch restoration.

I just got home from picking up my grandmothers vintage ring from Dickens.I needed the shank replaced and reinforced. Ring is roughly between 50-70 years old. And the only heirloom in my dads side of the family.The job they did was absolutely incredible and beautiful. First time coming here and Im so overjoyed by the service and how well my ring fits now. Im afraid I forgot the mans name (if he ever said) but the main guy there was so polite and so professional and seemed to really understand how much it meant to me. Last year when I proposed to my fiancee I was lucky enough to have been introduced to Victor at Dickens Jewelers to help me design the perfect ring. He spent about two hours with me sharing his in store samples, and then custom designing a one of a kind ring. The beautiful ring was ordered on Monday, and arrived on Friday just in time for the weekend proposal. I was invited to the shop to see the ring and stone before it was set, and was able to pick it up within a few hours of its arrival to the store.On the day of engagement sitting on the steps of the Red Mill I presented my wife to be with a ring that glowed, sparkled and matched the beauty of her eyes. The deep blue sapphire stone, wrapped in diamonds exploded when the box was opened. In the heat of the excitement, we found out that the ring size was a bit too small... Luckily Victor was right across the street and was able to re-size the ring within hours. He shared in our congratulations and excitement and did everything he could to make that day perfect.When it came time to shop for our wedding bands the first and only stop was back to Dickens Jewelers. About a year ago I went to Dickens Jewelers with my soon-to-be fiancé (at the time) and my great grandmothers original engagement ring from the late 1800s! It has always been my dream to have a piece of my great-grandmother with me at all times as well as to find a way to make her apart of my love story. After speaking with the owners, Victor and Emilia, I was more than confident that they would make my dream a reality. They are extremely caring and honest people and I felt very comfortable to leave my great-grandmothers ring with them so they could remove the diamond carefully and re-set it into the new ring of my choice. When my husband proposed and I finally saw my ring, I was blown away and could not be more in love! Now, one year later, I just went back with my husband to pick out a one-year anniversary ring. They had exactly what I was looking for and were so accommodating. During that appointment, I not only purchased an anniversary ring, but they also re-sized my engagement ring and wedding band to a smaller size and to top it off they fit my husbands watch with no extra charge. For my engagement ring, my husband had actually brought his grandmothers old engagement ring to add diamonds onto, to propose to me with. It was executed beautifully, as was my wedding band. For my wedding band, Victor also added diamonds to this band. Even though it seemed to me that the band may have been too thin to add diamonds to, Victor said he could do it and it turned out perfect. I love both my engagement ring and my wedding band, they look great together. I was referred here by another jeweler to fix a watch that my wife had gotten me for our anniversary, after meeting and speaking with Victor I knew my watch was in good hands. He had told me that it would be 5 to 6 day to fix as he might have to wait for parts, he had called me the following day saying my watch was ready to be picked up, he was able to fix it with out ordering parts. I had read good things about Victor and Dickens Jewelers and decided to take in a pendant that needed a new bale. Victor gave me several options of styles and sizes and not only replaced the bale, but straightened out the setting which was bent. It is lovely! I went back in to redesign a ring with sentimental value and again, Victor asked what I wanted and was able to show me what it would look like using computer software. This is a ring I will wear now instead of having it sit in my drawer. It is stunning! Great job!

Recently I received a polish from Dickens jewelers for my Panerai GMT and I can honestly say that the job done on the watch was incredible. The owner of the store is the most experienced and skilled people when it comes to these matters, miles above anyone else I have been too. Horrible customer service! More concerned about the sale than customer satisfaction. Placed an order for an item that was to be monogrammed and have an engraved message that was needed in a week’s time for a baby’s christening. Was promised it would arrive and be engraved in house in three days. Three days came and went with no communication from the store. Called on that day and was told it would be in within the next two days. Upon my phone call the fourth day I was told it was back ordered and would be in the next day and that they may not be able to fit all my words of the personalized message but they would try. Back ordered! That should have been conveyed to me that very first day it was ordered. I would have cancelled the order then and there. They also stated they would call before noon that next day. Next day no phone call. So once again I call. The gentleman answered saying the bracelet was indeed in but didn’t think he could engrave it at all because it wouldn’t fit on his machine despite the promise they could do it when I placed the order. No communication unless I initiated the phone call and I was strung along with excuses and promises that weren’t kept. Now here it is two days before (one being a holiday) the event without a gift. Poor customer service and unethical business practices.

I replaced the battery in a cheap watch and asked if they could put the back piece back on. The guy behind the counter said Ill take care of if for you 60 seconds later he walks out and says that will be $5. I didnt have any cash on me and all transactions on cards are $10 minimum so he ended up going back and taking the piece back off before handing it to me.At another local jewelry store they do these quick things for free because they know it brings customers back. I only went to dickens because it was closer. But unfortunately he likes to nickel and dime everyone.

After ordering necklaces from Etsy for my bridesmaids, they arrived and I came to find out that they were way too short and I was not able to get my refund.I was in a panic since it was a week before the wedding and I still didnt have anything acceptable to give to my bridesmaids.As I was in the hunt, I walked into Dickens Jewelers and explained my situation. They were SO helpful! They went through a multitude of options and ended up giving me exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price AND were able to expedite the necklaces so I received them within 3 days.I cannot thank them enough. My bridesmaids loved their gifts and still wear them on a regular basis.A million thank yous!!!

I brought in a very inexpensive watch but had a lot of emotional value, one that I thought I would never be able to wear but to my surprise Dickens Jewlers brought it back to life at a very low cost and I’m very greatful. Delightful doing business with Victor at Dickens. I have had a couple of negative experiences in the area, but from now on.... only Dickens for all my jewelry needs, be it service, repair, batteries, or a special purchase. While replacing several watch batteries, Victor informed me that a watch I was told was kaput by another jeweler was not at all kaput. I had asked that he only remove the battery so we could retain the watch as a keepsake. Victor took it upon himself to test the watch, and bingo....not a thing wrong with it other than needing a new battery. This is a wonderful, honest, family-run small business that has only owned Dickens since 2014. So if you havent stopped in lately, what are you waiting for!?

I sold my engagement ring and wedding band here. Everyone was very kind and showed much respect and honesty. They had given me exactly what I had asked for. I will definitely go back to them for my jewelery needs and will recommend them to family and friends!

Dickens Jewlers is absoutley amazing. They make custom jewlery on site and are able to have an incredibly short turn around because of this. We were able to have a pearl necklace made in a day and a ring set very quickly as well. To top it all off, they are incredibly nice people. I highly reccomend Dickens Jewelers!!

Would give -5 if I could t this prejudiced and unprofessional joke .Long story short I went into this establishment with the intent to sell Victor, the owner, a secondhand Cartier Love Bracelet only to be given one of the dirtiest looks on earth and told its fake WITHOUT ANYONE having so much as take it out of the box to LOOK first. When i, somewhat stunned by his bluntness and unrealistically fast judgement, asked how he could tell, Victor simply stated i can /just tell before adding but you knew it was fake, didnt you? Then snidely stated he was so sorry for wasting my time and asked me to leave.EXCUSE ME??? im aware that i may not fit the mold of his usual clientele as far as appearances go; im not a thin white woman who arrived in her husbands audi A5, im a skinny lesbian punk with a shaved head and a crooked smile.....but i have NEVER had someone use my appearance as a blatant factor in judging me AND accusing me of fraud. Days later I had my Love Bracelet appraised by one of my towns local jewelers as i wanted to know /for sure/ if the bracelet was a fake--and guess what? NOPE. 100% REAL. The jewelry assessing the piece even told me that there are a strict set of criteria theyd have to check before passing it off as fake--none of which victor explored. I sold her the bracelet for $5500 (as opposed to the $2000 low ball i was offering Victor) and went on my way. If you want to feel judged for your appearance and be lied to by a self proclaimed master jeweler by all means try this please, but if professionalism and authenticity and satisfactory service are things your after seek help elsewhere. Im eagerly awaiting Your sad excuses for why you refused to even evaluate my piece....Anything you plan to write in your defense could have easily been told to me in person in the professional manner I saw you use on the client before me, maybe then Id have left with a different impression. ill be waiting.

A spectacular shop with stellar customer service! A place to shop for all your jewelry needs!!

I brought 3 waterproof watches to Dickens for new batteries (a Tag Heuer, an Esquire, and a Bulova Marine Star). I paid $40 each for batteries and the waterproofing. The Bulova worked fine until I got it into a pool and it leaked. The Esquire worked for 3 weeks then just stopped working. The Tag Heuer stopped working literally 2 weeks later (weird coincidence, right?) Thinking it was just a bad batch of batteries, I brought them back for new batteries. Without even looking at the Tag and the Esquire, he told me they need “service” and charged me $20 each for a bench fee. He said he couldn’t figure out why the Bulova was leaking but I was told that it may need a new crown ($125), the Esquire needed service ($175) and the Tag needed service ($215). Thanks, anyway. I took them all back. They all worked fine before I brought them in. Now, after requesting batteries and $160 later, I have 3 watches, only one of which works and none of which are waterproof. I wish I’d never stumbled in there. I started feeling like I was buying a used car. I’m not going back and certainly wouldnt recommend.
