I was visiting Cleveland for a wedding, and not only did she accommodate to squeeze me in her busy Saturday, she also provided some awesome recommendations for brunch spots and boutiques. I got an express shellac manicure during my lunch break & it was amazing! My nails look flawless, especially for it being a 30 minute service. Sharon did not rush at all and I could tell she really cared about the quality of my manicure. She also uses CND brand shellac which is my personal favorite! Highly recommend Sharon for any manicure service, but especially if you work downtown and can go see her during your break :)

I will admit that Im not always right, but I can go step for step with you.Even if I could not say a word the entire time I was there, that would have been better than turning down a service and a nice tip. I always tip at least 35 percent. This is officially the end of some nice friendships with you and the guards there; everything will be a complete 180 from now on unless I get some apologies soon and my ban is lifted PERMANENTLY!I did not say I hope I have a chance with you.” What I said was I hope I have a chance TO COME IN FOR SERVICE with you. To be honest, I was fighting a cold that day, so I am sorry if you didnt hear that full comment. If you can recall, I was curious about the different services you do, so I spotted and picked up a card and I noticed that you do mens manicures and pedicures. Thats when I made that come in for service comment, remembering a promise I made to you when you were still at your former location. Yes, telling you I love you was a mistake, and I thought I apologized for that before I left, but Im sorry if I didnt. A couple of times I came in for a new watch battery and the guard stopped me then, but I didnt give that much thought at the time since I had other things to do those days. After today, you and that guard dont have to worry about me ever again. No more Christmas cards, nothing. However, if you paid any attention to my review after I edited it the first time, there is one way, and only one way, you can get back on my good side.For the record, I did try your former location, as you did recommend, but they couldnt fit me in for the days and times I wanted, and they were a little shorthanded today. Your other suggestion and a third salon were too expensive for me. Then I remembered I had a ten percent off coupon at a fourth salon in walking distance from you, and Im on very good terms with the owner (another black lady) and several of her employees, most from when she was on St. Clair. If I cross any lines there, they make sure to tell me either immediately or later that day (the owner and I are Facebook friends and communicate frequently), and I always apologize in person either right away or as soon as possible the next day theyre open. Anyway, getting back on track, I havent gone to your former locations website yet, but it might have been a good thing I had that coupon; I would have been out over twenty dollars there as well. The price and my promise from your former location were the main reasons I scheduled an appointment with you.Like I told you after you pulled me outside, if you had told me that I was making you uncomfortable, I would have apologized immediately, and taken all the necessary steps to make sure we were still on good terms before I left. I normally make sure to tell people to let me know if Im making them uncomfortable, but either I never said that to you, or it slipped your mind. Since your salon was still less than a year old at the time of the incident, Im willing to forget about that for the moment. As I also said in my review when I edited it the first time, you lost out on the service price and a very nice tip. Not many people, if anyone, make that kind of a sacrifice, especially owners and operators of their own small salon in their first year or two of operation. If I had to put duct tape over my mouth and keep it there until I was on the elevator coming back down, I would have accepted that. Keep everything in mind before you turn away more services, and I honestly hope we can somehow repair our friendship instead of it ending the way it has today. If we can repair our friendship I will delete this Google review so you can get back above four stars.

Sharon has been doing my nails for 4 years now. I was so excited when she opened Empress Nails. The salon is super posh! I usually get a gel mani/pedi and I continue to go to Sharon because of the high quality work. I never have to worry about bad cuticles, or nail polish in wrong places. She does an awesome job.
