Carl and Tom arrived on time and installed a hefty new system in very adverse conditions. They worked way overtime to produce a quality job. They both were pleasant and personable and patient through the whole ordeal. We are so grateful for their help and expertise. We would also sincerely like to thank Jim for the initial visit and attempt to save our existing system, and for making it an easy decision to contract Velocity. All three techs so professional and trustworthy. They made a miserable job seem effortless! We will be referring anyone we know with AC problems to call Velocity. Thank You Again. Paid Velocity to fix it MyselfI was pleased when the tech from Velocity arrived mid-morning on Friday. It had been two days of my a/c not keeping up with the afternoon temps and a cancellation from another company for health concerns. He spent some time at the outside unit and in the attic with the handler then told me I have a couple small leaks outside. Since the unit is still under factory parts warranty he quoted $2000 to replace the outside coil or $6000 for a full system replacement. I asked if topping off the Freon would buy some time to decide what to do. He agreed that it would and topped it off. Within an hour of him leaving it was 79 inside with the thermostat set at 76. I called the office where I was told the tech would call me back. I called my first choice in vendors and reviewed everything with him. He immediately told me it wasn’t a Freon issue and walked me through diagnosing my thermostat and then into the attic to check my float valve. I pulled the float valve to find water to the top. I cleared the line and everything’s been fine since. The tech did try to call me back a couple times, but I was busy fixing it myself. That’s the last return call I’ve received from Velocity Air. I called to the office again that afternoon and advised them I was displeased with paying $271.00 to fix my own air conditioner. The response was that everyone was busy and someone would call me back. Fast forward a week to Thursday and still no call back so I made another call. I managed to get the service manager. I voiced my concern and let him know that I’m not looking for a full refund but certainly feel that I was overcharged and would appreciate something back. His response was that he would review this with his tech and get back to me tomorrow afternoon. Guess what? It’s now tomorrow and it’s 5:00pm. Crickets....
We had an ac installed in my condo by these guys, and it was a less-than optimal experience. For starters, they failed to show up on time on the first day and it took them roughly three days to finally get the unit installed. They had originally insisted they could do it in one day. When they finally did install it, the unit leaked all through our ceiling and walls and I had to suffer through yet another sweltering night until they could come out and fix it. The only reason there wasnt massive water damage to our property is because we caught it so early. Then it turned out they failed to schedule the inspection; when we finally got the inspector out, the unit failed inspection. Now, scarcely a week and a half after the installation, the unit wont cool the house below 81.UPDATE: The owner of Velocity, Tyler, reached out to me personally and worked with me to get the system up and running. The evening that the thermostat wouldnt cool below 81, he came out and put some more freon into the system, which more or less fixed the problem. He also tuned the system up so it would perform a little better. The AC still doesnt reach the intended temperature on really hot days, but at least it stays set at a habitable 76 now. As for the inspection -- it took a while to pass the inspection, but we recently passed it. Tyler is a good guy and he obviously cares about his business, but it was still a rocky ride. I would say that the experience was fair and not really good, but two stars seems a little low for the effort Tyler put forth to fix the problem.
I just want to say how wonderful WILLIAM was at taking the time to explain the work required to change over my old electrical panel to the new main which was required for my new solar roof installation which is soon to come, and his continued work ethic to see the job all the way through to completion. As expected every job does have its unexpected challenges but he persevered and got everything installed and working in tiptop shape! Extremely grateful for their wonderful service!
We purchased not one but two heat pump units recently, two weeks apart, after our 30-year-old systems fan quit. Then about a week later, the 20-year-old system quit. Technician Drew Woolhiser made sure that everything got done, going so far as to give us his personal cell phone number to call if we ran into trouble. Through no fault of our own, Velocity was unable to complete the install on the first unit. The installer threatened to not activate the system unless we paid the balance due before they left the first day. Drew intervened and our system was activated. Workers showed up the next day to finish up. Knowing that Drew went out of his way to make ensure success, we invited him back to check out the malfunctioning second unit. It made more sense to replace it, and lead installer Kenneth Danielson went the extra mile to get everything working to our satisfaction. I do recommend Velocity, despite their several scheduling hitches and missing accessories.
Brad, your the man. Thank you so much for all your help. A gentleman and very knowledgeable about his trade. Thank youInstallation went smoothly Carl is a pro. Very conscientious, polite, and dedicated to his customers. Thank you all for a great job
My 20 year old AC unit was making loud noises and stopped cooling around 2pm on Friday. I called Velocity and they had a tech on site in an hour or so. I was panicked because its summer and my house is already HOT. I Needed to replace my entire unit ASAP. Velocity installed a brand new AC unit next day on (Saturday). They even installed a few mobile AC units in our rooms so we could sleep comfortably that night. The techs were on time and did a great job. I am very happy with my new 5 ton Trane Unit. Velocity really delivered for my Family
Don’t even bother yourself to call them! Very pushing to charge you $49.00 to buy new unit not to fix yours!!
Called Velocity this morning, and Bill Snyder, the technician, came quickly & could not have been more helpful. Turns out my AC is working properly & didnt need any service. Its just really hot in the afternoon and the unit is doing the best it can. He explained that installing insulated windows, and more insulation in the attic would help. Plus, if and when I get a new AC unit, he gave me several quotes, for new units, that will cut my power bill in half. Best $49.00 I ever spent!
Very impressed with Velocity Air Conditioning! I called at 9am and Tyler was here by 10am (he had a 40 minute drive in early morning traffic to my home). Tyler was very thorough and helpful. He had the parts on his truck and my unit fixed in less than 30 minutes. I will be enrolling in Velocity Air Conditionings maintenance plan and look forward to doing business with Velocity for all my service needs! Thanks so much Tyler!
Have been using this company for one year. They are responsive and knowledgeable. We chose the annual membership plan and are glad we did. Technicians are professional and courteous.
6 stars! Why use anyone else? Incredible from the initial phone call until job completion. A/C died in our rental house while we were out of town and they got on it within an hour, troubleshot and fixed it in another hour. Happy renters make happy owners. Theres a lot of A/C companies to choose from but Ive not had one that comes close to their friendliness and professionalism. They made our urgency their urgency and got me up and running in minimal time. Thanks Velocity!
My brand new ac broke within 6 months, the nastiest customer service I ever ran into like it was my fault this happened!!! I am telling everyone I can stay away from them... nothing but problems they diagnose my problem wrong they were going to charge me another $400 to do some kind of service on my AC when it wasn’t that whatsoever thank God I wasn’t stupid enough to do it, because I would have never gotten that money back and my ac wouldn’t have been fixed we have been using Air 24/7 and have had no problems since !!!! Stay away from velocity Air !!!!
An absolute joke, the man came out and wiggled my Sump Pump and said oh your float was stuck thats why its not running and charged me $50. Two hours later it was not running again he came back and tried to sell me a $750 pump,, I can buy the exact same one on Amazon for $35 told him to get the hell out of my house. Technician looked at me and smiled and said yeah were a little high on some things. What a joke
We had a great experience with this company. The technician Shawn was very kind and informative and called to let us know when he would be arriving. The service call was also very affordable.
We were very impressed with their expertise in solving our air conditioning problem. The owner came out the same day we called. He was able to assess our system and figure out a solution that was affordable for us. We highly recommend Velocity Air Conditioning.
I got that dreaded call from my wife saying the AC unit is not working and the house is heating up, I went online and Velocity Air had great reviews. After speaking with a very nice lady on the phone she took my information and had a tech call me and come out after hours to check it out. The tech explain it was cheaper and more cost effective to replace the unit, I got a GREAT PRICE and the next day at 10 am the guy showed up and installed and brand new unit, new wires, new pad, everything was done exceptionally well and the installers Victor & Javier were so respectful, neat and even swept out my garage when they were done! Two thumbs up great company highly recommendable!!
DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Paid more than $600 for 2 hours service and 2.5lbs R22 freeon. Tech said ac might have a leak but could not find it. Unit worked for 1 day after they serviced. Called their OFFICE AND GOT NO help, they want to charge more to send their tech out to fix the same problem.
I cant say enough about the service I received. The techs, Chad and Tim were very courteous and certainly knowledgeable about my Carrier AC and the problem I was experiencing. They were very thorough and professional during the 3 hour repair job (even wearing booties so as not to dirty the inside of my home floors)! Chad took the time to explain the issues and clearly itemizing the repair costs before actually starting the work. Pricing was honest and fair.Customer service was clearly their priority and a reflection on the companys objective. I would certainly recommend them for your AC care. Im sold. In fact, Ive signed up for their annual maintenance program.
My husband and I had 3 units (2-5 ton and 1 - 1 ton) all fail at the same time. They gave us a quote for the 2 larger units and we replaced them both. Excellent service and price.
TERRIBLE! My husband and I paid Velocity $20k to put in new A/C units a year ago and weve had to call them upwards of 15 times to come and fix some problem with the same unit. They wouldnt replace it or refund us for the faulty unit, even after TEN SERVICE CALLS to the same unit, and they charged us for the service calls, even though the problem was obviously a result of their bad unit or possibly incompetent installation. In any case, the unit is still not functioning and the company has taken zero responsibility for it. In this latest iteration, the tech I was assured was coming out to fix it showed up in a plaid shirt and cargo shorts asking us what hed been sent out to do.Were having to replace this very expensive unit barely a year later, and I guarantee we wont be using Velocity Air.
I gave it one star because I had my AC and furnace replaced The end of April, it is now going on the end of August. Twice now code enforcement has come out and said that the company needs to come back. I paid $5800 to make my house cool and still my house heats up to 83° in the afternoon. Come to find out its my ductwork and now thats going to cost over $4000, on top of the $5800 I have already paid. I wouldve thought that, that wouldve been included or at least part of the concern I had to cool my house down!! I am very disappointed with this company. The code enforcement came out a couple weeks ago and I still have not heard back from the AC company, to fix this dangerous problem. The problem is its supposed to be on its own dedicated line to the fuse box and it is not!! Its a fire hazard and they have not called me to try to resolve this problem as of yet!!! On top of everything when it rains hard the exhaust pipe attached to the roof leaks in my laundry room now.
From the time We met Bill we were instructed in what was the problem with our unit, they sent the best of the best out the very same day and did a superb job of installing and completing installation of a very much needed system. Thanks guys for a job well done.
Tyler was very knowledgeable and friendly. Provided quick, clear and detailed update on what the issue was and suggested next steps. Very helpful !!!! Would definitely recommend.
They were very professional and did an excellent job. I would recommend to friends.
Just had another awesome experience with Velocity Air Conditioning! Tyler came out to our home this summer for a repair. We called Velocity today and within 1 hour Louis was here to save the day! He couldnt have been more helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Not only we have we received the BEST work, we have also received the BEST price for parts and repairs! I already decided months ago that I would only do business with Velocity and I am glad I made the decision. Rather, I am glad that Velocity made the decision for me! Thanks again guys!
$100.00 additional charge for after hours service...okay, Im thankful and fine with that.$300.00 additional charge if the condo owner is not present, even though the person living there IS present? Im NOT okay with that! Were giving them the benefit of a doubt and driving over to be on-site for the repair...I hope it goes well. This seems very unnecessary.
Fantastic! Kenny and Dominic were very professional and cleaned up! Would recommend to everyone.
Grossly overcharged Do you need to add refrigerant Also was going to charge me $1100 On the outsideOther company would have Charge me 600beware
Bought an air conditioner with a 10 year warranty on parts and after 4 years a part failed. I was told that if it was replaced under warranty I would pay more than getting a new part from Velocity. They are charged an exorbitant cost to send the bad parts back to the manufacturer and you are the one that has to pay that cost. I am contacting Comfortmaker and seeing if my warranty is fake or not. Channel 8 news needs to look into this deceptive business practice.
Richie did a excellent job and he went above and beyond. Took out the time to get my wifi connected to my phone and laptop. I will be telling all my friends & family. I am now a customer for life.John Gallager
The technician came out for annual maintenance and did a great job. Very happy customer.
My experience with velocity was great . They beat everyone eles prices and did excellent job. I would recommend them to everybody .
This company will steal from you and the techs are clueless. They have zero training. They told me one part was bad then charged me $900 for the part. Then another tech came back and said it was not bad. Cleaned the coil and never told the office to refund me. THIS IS STEALING!! The tenant informed me of the bait and switch. The problem was still not fixed. Two weeks later after the sent 4 other techs all which had no idea what they are doing. I had another company came out and actually fixed the issue. The destroyed my attic, vents and returns the owner promised a refund. Today he said to bad Im not refunding anything. He is a lair and so are his techs. I am disputing all charges and I WARN YOU DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Richie was great he did a wonderful job thank you
MANATEE COUNTY CUSTOMERThey advertise that they cover Manatee County but they do a bad job at it. Velocity A/C is just to far away from Bradenton to give good consistent customer service. The first time I used them they did a good job but It took some time to get parts and get them back to Bradenton. I used them because they gave me a good price to replace my A/C coil. The second time I had no power to my A/C after having my roof replaced. The roofers put a nail thru the power line to the A/C Compressor. Velocity sent down an on call mechanic at 11:00 at night with no tools and no parts. After he diagnosed the problem he proceeded to let me know he could not fix it. He told me I needed an A/C company that was licensed to do electrical work and they were not. But he demanded his $90.00 service charge and we paid him. After leaving I noticed he had left his new step ladder in my bed room closet. I called the next day and let them know about the ladder but they were too lazy to drive back or pick it up.So now it’s one month later and my A/C quits again. I give Velocity another chance. I call them on Thursday and we agree on a time for them to come on Saturday. I let them know I was going to be at work on Saturday but my wife would be waiting for them. They said they called at 8:30 to confirm and then at 10:30. I called back and the mechanic and he told me he turned around, and would not be coming back today. They are just to far away from Bradenton to do a good job. They were not prepared to work and gave terrible customer service. Hire a full service A/C contractor one who has qualified licensed people. So much of A/C repair is electrical so hire a company that dose it all.
They said I had a leak but couldn’t tell where it was until I did a dye test. The guy never did the dye test but they still charged me for it!
Kept saying they will tech call me never did waited 3days called got same answer each time
$270 to replace a $10 contactor... no thanks
