Tammy is GREAT!!!! I had another company come out and gave me an estimate of $1300 to replace my air handler blower fan, after charging me a $95 diagnostic fee, (No problem with the diagnostic fee).I called Air Care and Tammy answered and she asked me questions, and got me a quote on a new replacement motor (Rescue Motor). $385 and she explained it is pretty easy to change it out, so thats what I did. Tammy saved me $900 and I cant thank her enough. I will recommend Air Care from now on! THANK YOU!!

AIR CARE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING INC.This business operates with the highest level of integrity.I have used Air Care before for repairs and have always been happy with the response time, the personnel, the technicians, the service provided, and the prices.This time I called Air Care for an estimate on a new Air Conditioning System. (Another company had me convinced that I needed an entire new system for approximately $6,500.)They could have easily sold me a new system for thousands of dollars, however, Tammy noticed the make and year of my current system and put the owner Larry on the phone. Larry told me that I should not need a new system based on the model and year of my system. I told him what my concerns were, and he suggested servicing and the installation of a UVA light. He sent a tech (Khoi) out the same day.Khoi was thorough, professional, and polite. Khoi took apart the pump, hoses, panels and brought them outside and cleaned and sterilized them. (my pump and lines were partially filled with a disgusting jelled like substance) He installed the UVA light. My system works great, and my air is now exceptionally clean from the UAV light. I very much appreciated the initial inspection. Larry came by and inspected everything, left no stone un-turned, as they say. I was going to buy an entire new AC unit and he simply explained all the pros and cons and based on the age of my unit recommended I simply find the problem and get that fixed, which he then promptly found.I appreciated that he showed me the problem with the unit. Was patient with my ignorance throughout the inspection, with my questions and curiosity. He also explained the consequences of having had this developing issue of loss of Freon. Explained it was a poison and was leaking into my house for several months, pounds of it.Instead of paying for a new AC unit Air Care replaced the coil and lines. They checked over everything, were super quiet while doing so and did not leave big mess. They came back a week later and adjusted the amount of Freon and the unit is working like new. Would recommend them anywhere.I would like to add that their installer is super nice, super well mannered and was a pleasure to speak with.The key word I would use with Air-Care is: Competent. I woke up to no A/C on Sunday. I tried calling the my A/C company with no response. I then called Air Care and asked if they had anyone that could come out. They called me back right away and someone was at my house 45 minutes later. They found it was a bad motor. I was affraid they wouldnt be able to fix it on a Sunday but the service tech had one on his van. About an hour later I had A/C again.Im glad I called them and will recommend them if you ever have A/C trouble.

Purchased an AC unit from them 8 years ago. It has done nothing but give me problems every year since. Have always maintained it properly. On average have spent $500.00 per year in parts that go bad. Or Sometimes more. Again Im sitting in a hot house waiting for the blower motor to be replaced for the second time.

I called these guys to help me out with an AC emergency recently..... Not only did they show me my problem. They explained stuff and answered my questions gratefully!! Air Care Heating & Air Conditioning has No Concern for Customer & is Not Good at Diagnosing Issue. Air Care came out to check my AC when it was cooling, but not well. The technician was nice, but not thorough. He took my garden hose and said he cleaned out the drain line that is outside. He also poured something down the line at the unit. For this 15 minutes, Air Care charged $187.50. I let him know this was steep, as other people in the complex paid a lot less for cleaning the drain line. He confirmed maintenance, which he said was around $70, would have had more processes done. He said I didn’t schedule a maintenance and I guess he did not want to perform those services, since he was getting over double the cost. The woman who called to follow up the next day, was very unpleasant when I told her that I felt Air Care over charged for just cleaning the line. She kept trying to justify the expense and did not like it when I disagreed. She verified they charged a service call – even thought their website has ”FREE Service Call with Repairs” I left it, knowing that Air Care does not care about repeat business or care about customer service. I have told anyone I see that they should NEVER CALL Air Care for service. I guess if Air Care’s technician had checked the unit, he would have found the actual problem. It turned out there was more wrong with the unit and I had McConnell Air Conditioning come out – HIGHLY RECOMMEND McConnell Air Conditioning. I have to assume Air Care would like to charge another service charge and continue to gauge a client, until the client wises up and calls another company.

I went to their location because I was told they sell AC parts to the public as well as provide AC service to homes. I took in a capacitor from a portable AC unit and asked if they sold the size I needed. They had the size but said they couldnt test my old one to see if it was bad. Really? you sell them and you service them in ac units but you dont have a multi-meter in house to test them?? And the one you offered to sell me was $59 when Amazon sells them for $15? And the owner had an attitude and said that they had technicians that would come out to my house and check the capacitor for $69? Not a good way to leave the public with warm fuzzy feelings about you or your business. Choose someone else for your AC service needs.

My AC stopped working and since I had them do the checkup in the spring, I called AirCare. They told me they couldnt find my records but sent a guy out. He repaired the unit and gave me a quote. Foolishly I signed and then called the next morning as I found better prices online and wanted to investigate more. Long story short, AirCare price was several hundred dollars more than almost all the other quotes I received. I selected a competitor in Clearwater and found their office staff to be very pleasant and thorough, unlike my experience with the office staff at Air Care. Additionally, there were no Administration fees for processing the paperwork.

Sometime in the middle of the night my houses AC stopped cooling. I called Air Care and the owner Larry took care of me. I coordinated with Judy and the tech Gary and they talked with me every step of the way. I setup the appointment the same day (today) and they stayed in touch with me and made the appointment. Within 20 minutes of Gary arriving to my house it was blowing cold again. Will never go to anyone else now that I found Air Care!

My 91 yo mother doesnt use her A/C very often (electric bill is about $50 mo.)! Yesterday the A/C wasnt cooling down her Condo, so she called Air Care for service. They came @ 7:30, went on the roof & found the problem of shortage of 2# of coolant. The Diagnosis chg. was $69.95 and her final bill care was #293.50!!!! What a Senior Citizen RIP OFF.When the owner called me to discuss my displeasure, he was not professional and very argumentative. A case of Abuse of the Elderlyas far as I am concerned! I had my A/C serviced 2 months ago with freon and was only $80...............

I was visiting my parents with whom recently moved into Pembrook Apartments when I too noticed how hot and muggy their place was. Due to the fact that they are Renters, the unit owner makes all service arrangements and company selections for such.That said, within 24hours of initial service request, a very, very nice technician named Dwight came out to evaluate situation at which point we were told an entire new unit and thermostat was needed. Well the unit itself we were told takes up to 48hours to obtain. On Monday, 11-13, at 9a promptly, we were greeted by 2 great technicians that worked very hard for 3/4 of the day to install new unit, and new thermostat. After install was complete, they tested everything including the heat and even the owner Larry came by to inspect. I am very pleased with the fast and friendly service my parents were given and this says a lot considering we have been residents of Pinellas County, FL for 40+ years and have very bad experiences at the home We owned for almost 30 years, with Glenn Moon!! $10,000 wasted and trusses cut when they shouldve never been cut to begin with!!!We highly recommend Air Care Hearing & Air Conditioning!!! 5 Stars for sure!!

Air Care left my family without AC for 3 days unnecessarily. The tech said we had to replace the coil and he would have to order it. I asked if he could put freon in the system to get us thru. He said no it would be a waste. On day 3 of waiting to hear about a coil, I called another company for a second opinion. When I told them I had been without AC for 3 days they came out right away and the first thing they did was put freon in the system to get the house cooled down. They said the leak was not a big as we were told by Air Care. When we told Air Care we were going with someone else for the repair they called my house phone and cell phone every 15 minutes wanting their $65.00 diagnostic fee. Needless to say we will never use Air Care again. The tech we had was negligent and inconsiderate. Terrible customer service!

So she agreed under pressure to sign.Now my girlfriends Mom is in Hospice and she is the last person alive in her family. Shes very stressed and in her 50s.Than a couple of hours later since the AC was still blowing ice cold, And not knowing what we r going to do about her Moms place. She decided to cancel. We notified them right away. They slapped a permit on our door and told us we have to do he job or pay up to a $1000.00 restocking fee.So it is cheaper just to pay the $4400.. and get it done.We spoke to the owner Larry whos done lots of work for Leslie over the years and said pay $1000. for no work or $4400 for the new unit.She does not need this stress they are putting on her. What ever happen to local companys doing the right thing.I called two ac companys in town and they said would not charge a customer for work not done.I can understand paying for permit but thats it..SO after years of using Air Care this is how they treat a customer.They could said you pay the $1000.00 and when you r ready you have a credit of a thousand.Most companys stand behind their product and services and make their money providing them.Not charging people for work not done.. thats the cost of doing business people change their minds.I hope Larry does the right thing....My girlfriend is a License Insurance Agent. I had a problem with my Air. They sent someone over and tried to fix it. $377.00 and on hour later it was hot. The next day they came over.. The tech went downstairs and did something and it was ice cold. They told me it wouldnt last. My mom Is in Hospice and I am totaly stressed out. So they pressured me into buying a new unit. 4 hours later I called and said no.The Owner called me told me that was fine TO CANCEL BUT you owe me $1000.00 and it would be a better deal FOR ME just to replace it.The air went hot just like they said. I called a reputable company. They said the fan and compressor burned out due to wrong capacitor.THE SECOND COMPANY NO KNOWLEDGE OF ANYONE WORKING ON OUR UNIT A WEEK EARLIER.. THEY SAID THE CAPACITOR THAT WAS PUT IN DESTROYED OUR UNIT.. NOT GOOD..Air Care put in a week earlier..
